about illario working with the venatori, we can't forget that elgar'nan gifted him blood magic, so I do think that he somewhat influenced him and that's why he's so much more vindictive and jealous in comparison to tevinter nights. I don't mean that he's being mind controlled, but it's a bit like cyrian, a god just amplifying those negative emotions in you and promising power and glory can push a person to that edge and to make stupid af decisions.

im also not forgetting that zara line in inner demons where she talks about an envy demon. like. why an envy demon in specific...there's THINGS between zara and illario that were not shown

no literally if you get me talking about illario + envy + the possibility of getting him possessed, you will have me here for fucking ever. a non mage doing blood magic (any magic at all) is really weird and interesting to me and i don’t remember an example of this happening before (feel free to correct me tho lol. i’m discounting possessions and dwarves)

i had started wildly theorising after bloodbath that he had been possessed and he was tapping into the fade using an envy demon. especially like you said, zara mentions it, AND because i swear there’s a codex in the ossuary where it mentions an envy demon whereas spite is obviously determination, right? so i thought it was a breadcrumb trail to a big “illario is being influenced and doesn’t even know” reveal— same as you anon like great minds am i right— but i’m not sure there is actually any evidence of that lol. like maybe if you squint but i do believe it was explained away by “oh yeah, and elgarnan let him do special blood magic”

it does also make sense to me that illario can only control lucanis, due to being part of the same family. a bloodline thing, and it is very poetic to me that their shared family connection in caterina is what allows him to control lucanis, even for a moment lol. spite being the extra magical boost that lucanis needs to block that out ALSO makes sense to me so i’m not too fussed abt these details lol🤔

the envyllario in my heart also gets spectral weapons for himself. lucanis gets wings, illario gets talons, PLUS green-purple are complementary colors so it would have been really fun to see them clash with their spirit/demon-powers. the talon thing is also a kind of reflection of his end-goal desire, how envy demons already have those freaky hands, and it manifests as claws and is a much more aggressive, strength-augmenting manifestation (as opposed to manoeuvrability and speed-augmenting that spite’s wings give lucanis.) anyways that's what the diagram above is supposed to be (this is extremely hot to me)

#linktober #linktober 2024 #the legend of zelda #wind waker #ocarina of time #loz #loz ww #loz oot #link #josh art tag #had a lot of fun with this one despite how annoying it was to draw #oot link was at a difficult angle and i also just could not shade this for the life of me. restarted the shading like 3 times #i think im reaching that point in the cycle i typically go thru with my artstylr where ive grown tired of my shading style #to the point that i forget how to do it and it never quite looks right #so if my next post features changes to my artstyle thats why lol #but i enjoyed making this despite that cuz i like the ideas behind it!#i normally wouldve redesigned ww!link's outfit but i purposefully drew it accurately #to highlight how its more like a costume. cuz thats kinda what it was! and its modeled after the hero of times clothes #but is pretty innacurate. which i think is cool.. shows how much time has passed and how the view of the hero of time has warped #so i also purposefully made oot link wearing my redesigned outfit for him (even if you cant see much of it at this angle)#to further emphasize how ww!link's outfit is not only essentially a costume but is also quite innacurate #i like having ww!link ditch the costume for something else to show how he stops being some kid in oot!link's shadow #and grows into a true hero of his own #hence my ww!link redesign where i put him back in the lobster shirt. but i do keep some green and something similar to the hat #to have him fit in with the other links while still being unique #look i have a lot of feelings about ww!link and oot!link #i wish zelda would do more stuff like this... i think having oot relate to wind waker makes the story more interesting #and makes ww!link more interesting! cuz he cant be the hero of time they want. but he does become the real hero they need #the oot ww tp trio is so good... and they all work great as standalone games but their connections do really add something

Kyoutani, Yahaba and Watari play horror games together often. It's how they all bond when Kyoutani first joins their duo. Whether they're together or on call doesn't matter. I also wanna rate how scared I think they would be generally.

1. Watari. Gets scared if someone even breathes too loud while playing. Screams like there's no tomorrow at every jump scare. Pretends to cry while being chased or attacked lol. He's not necessarily a scaredy cat but something about being 1st person in a horror game makes it seem like that's a lie.

2. Yahaba. Honestly pretty close second. Not as jumpy as Watari but definitely screams. Swears uncontrollably while being chased or after a jump scare. He just let's it all out lol. Bosses everyone around on what to do and where to go. Claims to be a master puzzle solver. Argues with Kyoutani constantly on literally everything.

3. Kyoutani. Stone cold almost always. Just grunts slightly when he does get scared, which is rarely. Doesn't like the loud noises during jump scares so he usually has his volume lowered. Gets lost or left alone a lot. Leaves the others behind while they're all getting chased lol. Solves most of the riddles or puzzles for the group (Yahaba insists he solves everything on his own) Argues with Yahaba constantly on literally everything.

Overall they always have a great time together ❤

Took a DnD alignment quiz and got true neutral and my brother was like “huh. I thought you’d be chaotic good,” and I’m like “sure, to YOU, but basically everyone else can go fuck themselves,” and really, I think that demonstrates how accurate the test is.

#I think a lot of people who test as Good TM are liars lol #or naive #which also maybe proves the accuracy of the test #but I seriously I got this from a bunch of gamers who tested as Good #and I think the ability to save scum in games gives people false ideas of what they’re capable of #like all this discourse about the emperor and him not letting himself be mercy-killed #as if he should have laid down and died and these people think they would have in his place #nah #self-preservation is such a base instinct people forget #I don’t think you really know yourself until you’ve been in dire circumstances #and well honestly I’m glad a lot of people haven’t #but I think people will surprise themselves in the moment by how selfish they can be #maybe that’s why I judge myself so much lol #but I guess I’m proud of myself too bc while I may not sacrifice myself for a cause #I stood between my father and my brother far too often at the risk of my own safety #and between my ex and his kid #they were worth it #but the rest of the world?#that’s asking a lot I’m not willing to give #especially since I don’t live in high fantasy lmao #morning rambles #I’ve been thinking a lot about morality recently #no wonder I got obsessed w bg3 recently #its themes line up with my recent ruminations so well

Honestly though I think it’s really a bad sign when I look at Shin Tsukimi and literally feel like he’s a self insert 😩

#the klock keeps ticking #yttd #i wanna replay yttd so bad but i also like Gotta play other stuff with the time i have akskks #but yeah the brainrot this specific character has given me idk if I ever really talked about it but it was BAD #i like obsessively played the game in like 3 days and it was not a good idea lol but just like shin #i had to take like a week to recover from this guy cuz i couldnt stop thinking about him and how hes just like me fr #first off just the very inconsistent personality hes got going on that is very me he has these different personalities he wears to cope with #all the traumatic shit happening hes both so helpless its comical and so manipulative its terrifying #and idk its really interesting how like good and bad he is at being manipulative like hes very smart and can analyze weaknesses and lie so #good not even he knows the truth but hes also grasping at straws he doesnt think things through at all #like the second main game he just didnt prepare at all hes fumbling his way through everything its going so bad #he just wants to go home he wants to outdo the game makers but hes being used by them so bad he wants it to STOP #and its just the way that like. it hits so hard cuz you know hes really not a bad person not at all he doesnt want any of this hes just #being horribly manipulated and doing whatever he can to survive but its also really scary how #well hes able to lie and manipulate and claw his way through but hes also weaker than a grade schooler #and you never forget that either and as much as he cheated his way through he still failed it was all just a cheap trick in the end #and all of this hits very hard like his personality is eerily similar to mine and just the way he thinks and acts #cuz im the same like im weak and a dweeb who likes funny cats but im also emotionally detached and observant and selfish #but where it hits the hardest is his relationship with midori like oooof that one was too real just like #the first person who was ever his friend was horribly abusive and treated him like a child and didnt respect any boundaries #and he just got sick pleasure out of seeing shin be upset and he was like. a groomer #and shin was fucking relieved when he died but also kept his scarf and adopted his personality to survive #and still goes by sou after ch2 and the scene that gets me the most is when shin ai is asked about his relationship with midori #and you can just SEE how horrified shin is because his deepest shame his abuse is being shared to everyone without his consent #and hes reliving it all in that moment and literally seeing who he used to be experiencing the abuse #he just curls into himself and like covers his ears and pulls his hair thats literally what i do AAAAAA #im just so grateful for the direction they took this character kokichi ouma wishes he was shin tsukimi so bad #and yeah just like damn. its scary how similar i am to shin like damn i really am going through it huh oof #I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I WILL DEFEND HIM WITH MY LIFE HE DID ALL OF THAT STUFF YOUR HONOR BUT LISTENNNN #have you considered that hes cute and smart and weird and maybe just needs friends who arent assholes

What *Sounds* Threatening Here....#then realized the reverberation of the chimes was akin to the kind of low ringing of [daniel's Low Sanitymeter] effects #which! the game Tells You to watch your levels therein b/c enemies will find you more easily when your sanity(tm)'s low or nil #turns out this is completely untrue though lol. the player may be impeded b/c daniel's vision is crap & his mobility will cut out as well #but just as it says; enemies Aren't drawn to you any more than they ever are; they just tell you that Knowing the player will feel it lol #and it works perfectly...as well as ofc daniel having like nightmare visions / ambiguous hallucinations if he's feeling too bad lol #gotta solve a puzz son .or turn on the lights; daniel also being afraid of the dark. even though it's like yeah man in general i'd be scare #meanwhile i always forget frictional had already made penumbra games & the penumbheads would be like...scoff. amnesia easy mode #b/c penumbra doesn't give you any light? you do have a flashlight i believe. at least sometimes. but that's more ltd than a lantern #couldn't be danny w/his tinderboxes; candles; torches; etc. laudanum. blowing shit up. daniel is sososo fun to me #and it all comes back around w/pentiment like ''mithraeum....i heard of em'' fr fr lol alchemy....weird science ooo #the universe HATES him: unless it doesn't (daniel & the shadow) local locals HATE him: baron discovers one weird interdimensional trick #for real for real check out some playthrough of amnesia: the dark descent if you haven't ever seen / heard of it. or play it #we'll have a movie night of it....#corned beeeeeeeeeeeef........i'm the same boy i used to be
