There's something sitting on the bedside tray of the hospital bed when Nikki wakes up - a green square wrapped up in a red ribbon that, when opened, reveals itself to be My Chemical Romance's first four studio albums in cd form - and tucked between Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade is a note: "hey loser, try not offing yourself. thats other peoples job and if you do it for real im gonna be pissed. merry scourgemas."

Being stuck in here around the holidays wasn't ideal, but at least she was far from being forgotten about. Evident by the fact that someone had dropped off a gift for her, and left it for her to wake up to.

A bright smile formed on Nikki's face as she opened the gift's contents, currently feeling the happiest she's felt since she arrived here. Each album was opened and observed carefully, soaking in the details of the artwork on the packaging, as she didn't have a means to listen to them currently.

It was only when she discovered the note, that her happiness began to falter.

That's right, Scourge. A green variant of Sonic, who's hotheaded demeanor reminded her of a certain tenrec, at times. As they too, carried a confusing hostility towards her for simply being Sonic The Hedgehog. she hated it. why did she keep attracting trouble for something she cant control? maybe she should just off herself for real, then she wouldn't have to put up with anything ever again.

Nikki's sentiment was seemingly shared by Starline, who looked at her with concern.

「 Not much of a friend, I don't think. 」

❝ Well, then, someone who cares about you, to the point where they sent you those albums as a gift. My daughter would have been jealous... You may have to listen quietly if I don't find a pair of headphones, but I might have an old CD player in my office. I'll go and grab that for you, alright? ❞

「 Thanks, doc. I appreciate it. 」  Nikki doubted Starline's former statement. The green hedgehog didn't seem like the 'caring' type, not for her, at least. But perhaps if they crossed paths once she was released, she could thank Scourge as well for the gift.

Being confined to this sterile hospital room for the time being had been difficult for Nikki. She was understimulated, and couldn't do much except rest once visiting hours were over, and Starline's shift ended.

Despite some of the more awkward questions in her inbox, at least she had the internet to keep her entertained. Rolling her eyes, she takes her pen and begins scribbling on her tablet.
