pissed tf off because 1) i have once again put on a new show thinking i could work on shit with it in the background without getting distracted (and failing miserably)(when will i learn). 2) i have a new character that i want to tear apart with my teeth which pisses me off even more because 3) it is EMBARRASSING how much i like this character i could fucking feel my pupils dilating and my prey drive activate literally immediately 4) it is even more embarrassing bc he is so embarrassingly my type that im pissed tf off that i never watched this before now or literally any time i wasnt busy. and this all leads to 5) now i have to think about killing him when i am TRYING TO GET SHIT DONE and it's making me mad it's pissing me off so bad i'm fucking enraged they should invent a way to physically harm fictional characters just for me i think

a few things i left out of my citizen kane kids in the archive post bc it was already super long:

the prop knife is plastic and works bc the "blade" retracts into the handle when it's pressed on something. my hand is posed that way bc i was also holding a signed poster

citizen kane was also the reason for the first time i made mark mckinney laugh (mark, scott, and i were talking about the SNL movie and after talking for a while i completely deadpan went "so it was a good movie not a great movie, but how often do you see a great movie?")

as i was writing about scott's citizen kane i got an idea for a kids in the hall show where every 2-person sketch has one person's role swapped. i just think they'd each bring their own kind of chaos to the other person's material (it'll never happen bc the kith perform live so infrequently that audiences will want the show the regular way but it could be neat)

i'm debating whether to do my "chicken lady" kids in the archive next or to save it for another milestone (15 or 20). "chicken lady" would also be a very long post since i'd do a script-to-screen comparison of the original sketch, talk about the "tour of duty" version, and do a little "character study" of what makes her best sketches work. maybe even talk about other sketches, including one i have a script for which never aired and the time mark did chicken lady on snl. however, if i go all out for this it may take a long time, vs if i wait until another milestone i could probably put out some new kids in the archive posts very quickly since i don't have much other work rn. idk, let me know what you think

Against all odds, we have survived. We're taking a university course now, because the government will pay us for it and we do need the money, but it has unfortunately been eroding at our sanity somewhat, and we are learning nothing that we don't already know. We are, however, getting money.

We have somewhat of a backlog on Discord at the moment, as it doesn't have a daily upload limit and also it's easier to stick things on while we are being told things that we already know by people who are phrasing in in ways we find significantly misleading or incorrect (note: we don't use apps for things the vast majority of the time and if we access Tumblr via browser it immediately fucks up our formatting on PC, which can last several months). We will, hopefully, be posting these soon, but all is dependant on if we can actually scare up the time between courses to conglomerate that and fix any formatting errors in thoughts and such.

If that will happen any time soon... good question! Every time that our work practicum teacher opens her mouth, we take points of physical damage, and we don't think she understands the fact that getting back after we walk to a place also involves walking. We've had a lot going on for a while now and very little of it has been good. We're on new meds, and if the gods prove merciful, we won't have to tolerate this particular clown show past March. If there is no mercy to be found, however, we might have to keep doing this until June, in which case you can probably expect the quality of this to take a sharp downturn as the short time we have already spent in this program is already having immediate and catastrophic effects on our mental health.

We do not recommend going to university in any circumstances, but we are unfortunately aware that it may be necessary to get such things as a fancy piece of paper saying you are employable. Additionally, we would tell you to calibrate your expectations for anyone with a degree lower, but apparently what we consider the basic level of knowledge you should know before saying anything on any topic is everyone else's "bachelor degree and a bit", so our estimations on what people think is a high degree of knowledge to have are probably also off.

Any donations go to the Fund To Compensate Us For Having To Correct A Teacher Multiple Times In A Lecture And Then Looking Up Her Sources Later And Discovering They Are Blatant Misinformation. We are very tired. Please do research on things before talking about them. Thank you.

Scalpel and gel working, along with guidelines for both incisions and excisions! With this there's now 4 tools, so my next step will be to implement the tool wheel for smoother tool switching. Also, the scalpel's collision detection can skip over things if you move it too fast. Gotta fix that tomorrow.

im enjoying metaphor refantazio so far i think my only complaints r that its so sad the 3d models r so bland when the games aes is so gorgeous and the world so fun.. and that i hope the characters become a little more three dimensional over time theyre all like intriguing but seem to only go fairly shallow… well actually i have a third which is that the ost is a lot more repetitive and uninspiring than id expected it feels a little bit like im back in fire emblem. its not a bad one it just. hasnt impressed me yet?

Today in therapy talking about how at work I am always chipper and happy to help in and help others and always smiling and upbeat, but if I'm feeling negative emotions beyond 'mild/moderate annoyance' I hold it in until I can get home or around one of the people on my short list of 'people I feel safe being vulnerable around' because I don't like people seeing me vulnerable....like there was an incident that was relatively minor and work handled it really well and honestly it didn't annoy me that much but what did annoy me was like the 8 people asking me 'are you ok? are you sure?' even after I said I was fine and while they were well-meaning it made me feel like they were being intrusive and/or I wasn't performing emotion to their standards and either way it made me feel like a prickly hedgehog.

My therapist asked if it was because I thought they weren't taking me at my word and that upset me

Me: Oh no, even if I wasn't okay I would've said I was. I just want them to stop asking about it, they're not close enough to get to see me not in perfect control of my emotions.
