Q: what made you start your blog?

A: Strange Æons and Dungeons and Dragons believe it or not. When I first made my account I was not in the Hermitcraft fandom, I watched Hermits but never engaged with art or fanfic before this blog. I just intended to use it as a place to ramble about my dnd campaign, since I wasn't able to do that with @fizzello because THEY'RE BLOODY IN IT and now I can't rant about it here either because I FORCED THEM TO FOLLOW ME

Q: fave colour and why?

A: Purple. I don't have a reason, when I owned a discord server back in 2020 I just kinda... had a purple username cause I thought it matched my pfp, and at this point, purple is just heavily associated with me so I gotta commit to the bit - plus it's a good colour.

Q: youtuber you’ve been obsessed with and why?

A: OK SO, I have been in a youtube slog lately so I can't point out anyone I'm currently obsessed with - however, I can point out youtubers I enjoy. RTGame, Dougdoug, Lilsimsie, Bizabizow, Dollightful, Nightmind, and fucking Ludwig. Go watch them. They're all cool.

Not right now.” Two big hands brace themselves on either side of you, what was once a relaxing environment suddenly turning playful, and it makes anticipation swirl in your belly.

“I’m just asking.” Your voice quivers from amusement, trying to hide it under a shroud of genuine curiosity. It’s not working. Sae scowls at you while you clear your throat, “I mean, Rin is so tall-“

“I’ll leave you. Swear to god.”

“And your buddy pal there shidou is also a freak of nature.”

“That’s not because of his height, that’s just how he is.”

“And then there’s you-“

“Do you have a point to this, other than to piss me off?” He grumbles. Itoshi Sae is pouting, true, genuine, pouting at you and your words, nose scrunched in annoyance and lip curled in a snarl. You reach your hand up to card his hair gently, fingers working out the strands and smoothing them. You can see him trying to fight his desire to lean into your touch, even when annoyed, your touch brings him back to a state of peace.

He grumbles as he angles his head into your palm. You won and he knows it.

“Aww, you know I love you.”

“Suddenly I’m not so sure,” he huffs. His brows lower, “do you wish I was taller?”

“No,” you say quickly, collected. Your hands shift to gently grab his biceps, squeezing them lovingly while you lift your head to kiss his nose. “I don’t. I think you’re perfect, handsome, talented, smart, pretty, beautiful, stunning, gorgeous-“

He chuckles. You stop.

He raises a brow, “go on. Keep going.”

You laugh as you pat your chest for him to lay back down on, which he does. You wrap your arms around his shoulders and scratch his scalp sweetly. “I love you.”

“I love you, too. For some reason.”

You giggle and let silence fill the air once again, your eyes closing in peace and body melting under sae’s comfortable embrace.

He leaps up and storms out of the room, leaving you to cackle while calling out his name in an attempt to coax him back in your arms.

As a security guard who has read the first two Murderbot books, Murderbot has been the number one most realistic security specialist character I have ever seen in media so far 😭

something i see a lot in the dungeon meshi fandom is attributing izutsumi's personality traits to her being a cat. and while ryoko kui definitely gave her cat-like traits intentionally, she's a talented enough writer to also give her a backstory with reasons for those traits. for example, her tendency to only do and eat what she wants.

izutsumi's character arc revolves around freedom. she grew up caged in a circus. and although she was fed enough to survive, this was only because a living catgirl attracted more customers than a dead one.

look how skinny she is! we see her eating what appears to be... kibble? oats? and then a rat that she possibly caught for herself. she had no choice but to eat anything she could.

when she's taken into the nakamoto household they begin to treat her much better. she's on about equal footing as tade, who also had a rough living situation before being taken in, and tade loves it there! they get healthy and tasty food and they're not sleeping in cages. but izutsumi still isn't free. she can pass off her chores and vegetables to tade and disobey in any way she can but she can't leave. maizuru even put a collar on her, further dehumanizing and trapping izutsumi.

when izutsumi joins laios's party, she's finally 'free', but it's not the kind of freedom she wants. she has to eat even more food she doesn't want or else she'll starve. but the difference now is that she's can leave at any time, and if she stays, she's treated as an equal. they're not feeding her monsters because they see her as inferior. they're all eating the same food so they can reach their goal(s). and this is part of izutsumi ultimately learning that in order to do what she wants, she has to be willing t do the things she doesn't want to

Surprising thing about Dandadan is Okarun randomly pulls different girls throughout the manga, but all of their feelings for him are not very deep (you could argue Aira, but I think her feelings were kinda insta-love which is then used as mostly a gag- kinda unsrs to watch)

-Aira is already obsessed with him the next time they meet

-Vamola is obsessed with him after a random kiss (then ends up being explained it was for plot and not real romantic feelings)

-Rin- what foundation, and her whole vampire attraction moment was literally a joke 😭🖐

But Momo's relationship with Jiji then later Unji are taken much more seriously with strong foundations for why they have feelings/might be growing feelings for her, while also feeling realistic and subtle

Like I'm sorry but this was cute and we have never gotten a such a significantly intimate moment like this from Okarun with any of Momo's love rivals 🖐

Zuma got a whole arc with her to himself like??? Insane you can tell when Yukinobu locks in for the love rival plots LOL

In exchange for Momo's outward very obvious bursts of hilarious jealousy we get more complex love rivals for Okarun to battle lmao, least that's how I see it

(By "more complex" I mean in regards to them as love rivals, all the characters are equally complex as just characters)

Okarun got game but Momo got GAME GAME like they sense her baddie wife energy

Momo is a total catch like she's literally MVP for almost all the fights in Dandadan, and the only times she isn't is when she literally isn't present- so I don't blame them 😌💅✨️✨️✨️

And ofc in the end all these people's feelings for our MCs are only there to develop their romance, bc they obviously only want each other
