I know you’ve probably answered this dozens of times (sorry) but how do you come up with ideas? I’ve been trying to get back into writing but I’m stumped
usually i go look at other media and ink about how i would put other characters into their situations. you can find a lot of AUs based on this, but there's also tropes from your favorite media that you might want to try writing.
for an AU: often times i see people draw conclusions about which characters would fit into an AU based on the character type (ex: a sunshine character acting like a sunshine character from another show), but i like to think about the situation the character is in. Say I want a Gravity Falls au for the Batfam. I could just shove the characters into the character types and it would be fun. Dipper and Tim are a lot alike with their smarts, I suppose. Or Ford and Bruce have a lot of similarities between each other.
or i could go a step beyond... Tim and Pacifica have similar backgrounds even if they don't have the same personality. Stan and Bruce are nothing like each other, but I can imagine Bruce waiting however long it takes to try and find someone he loves. I could combine these aspects into a fun au: Bruce Wayne lives in a mysterious manor in the woods. He's kind and the townspeople love him. He was raised by Alfred, a family friend, after his parents were killed in the woods. Bruce knows that his parents were killed because of the strange happenings in the town, and he follows his late father's journals while studying everything Gotham has to offer. Only, two of them are missing. Years later, his first adopted son Dick Grayson lives in the town and helps people who are afflicted by Gotham directly, and Bruce is searching for a young Jason Todd, his adopted son, who got lost in a portal. The local rich kid Timothy Drake found the one of the journals that Bruce hadn't found, and starts looking for monsters in the woods. Eventually, he and Bruce start working together.
Thus, I've expanded upon the AU with one simple shift in thinking!
for the tropes: let's use The Sea Beast as an example (wonder wonderful beautiful movie) (spoilers up ahead)
My favorite part was the growing parental relationship between the grumpy sailor Jacob and the young free spirit Maisie. Scenes where they grow closer and form an understanding of each other are fun, but I really liked the scene where Maisie brings up becoming family, and when she realizes that Jacob is turning her down, she grows upset and wishes for them to forget the entire conversation. That scene HURTS because Maisie lost her parents and thought she would find a family in the other Hunters. But she ended up learning that she could never be a Hunter since she doesn't have the heart for it. This is her last chance to find someone who might understand (at least, she believes it is) and Jacob basically implies it wouldn't work. But eventually Jacob figures out that he does want to be a parent for Maisie, and it's really sweet. I ended up wanting a scene like that in one of my fics, and now I've gotten it written into an outline. It won't be exact, but it helped me pull inspiration.
Basically: consume your media critically, think outside of boxes, and nurture your creativity. The more you understand what you're reading/watching, the easier it is to find ideas for your own story :) don't be afraid to push limits and see where it takes you

⋆˖⁺‧₊☽Batman is a scary cat - Do not Pet!☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽ CH2 ☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
Pairing: Dick Grayson/Wally West Characters: Batfam | Justice League Word count: 1.189 A/N: Little extra Chapter with focus on Jason and Tim ♡ AO3 Masterlist
‧⋆ ✧˚₊‧⋆. ✧˚₊‧⋆‧⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆‧⋆ ✧˚₊‧⋆. ✧˚₊‧⋆‧
''I need you to herd some lost sheep to the Bat-Cave.''
Red Robin had said. No elaboration. It had sounded too fucking simple and Red Hood knew it. He had heard his brother‘s smile through the comm. Jason steeled himself, expecting everything from actual sheep to a gang of rogues. What he did not expect was to arrive at the location and find himself in front of the fucking Justice League of all things.
He distantly could recall Batman calling them to help with the alien invasion. Jason didn't know why the man had bothered to call for help, they could've easily taken care of it themselves but he guessed that Alfred might've pushed Batman to ask. Alfred had been very excited to see Bruce had found 'Friends'.
Hood was ripped from his thoughts as he heard someone call his name, ‘‘Red Hood!'' One of the heroes exclaimed, ''He’s on the JLs most wanted list!‘‘
Batman had taken him off the list almost a year ago now. Did these guys not regularly check the list ? Hood bet they probably had been briefed on the change too. He shook his head, unable to understand how Bruce works with these people.
''Been off you guy's shitlist fo' a while now.'' He drawled, his head cocked in a provoking manner.
It seemed though, to his dismay, that they were not listening to him at all. They already seemed tense before they had spotted him but now the tension was thick as rubber. Hood wanted nothing more than to cut it but he couldn't as his instincts kicked in and he just barely dodged Wonder Woman's lasso. It glinted golden in the moon light and he couldn't help but swoon a little over his favorite hero trying to rope him in.
He smoothly jumped up and did a half flip backward, catching himself with his hands to further the distance, as Superman came swinging in. He looked flabbergasted that he had failed to catch Hood.
Hood, now squatting at the ledge after his display of flexibility, grinned under his helmet, ''Sorry boy-scout, can't catch me.'' He sing songed before grappling his way to the street below.
At least that was the plan but he hadn't seen Flash move towards him and so he got hit hard in the stomach. He squawked out a swear as he lost his footing and barreled towards the concrete.
Glad to have been experienced in shit like that he reeled his composure back in as he aimed his grappling gun and smoothly swung himself onto his waiting bike.
He sped away towards the Bat-Cave, the Justice League hot on his tail. Hood rattled of a string of swears in a bunch of languages.
Jason had to use the full of his training and experience to not crash. Swerving dangerously to the side to avoid any punches and breaking his speed record. He was damn glad they weren't out to kill him and were trying to not seriously hurt him. He still swore a his knee harshly scraped over the asphalt whenever he rounded a corner, lying almost on his side to make the curve at his speed.
Thank fucking god for his knee pads. They were really saving his ass right now.
Jason was set on killing Tim if he survived this. 'Sheep my ass!' He muttered.
It was a fucking miracle that Red Hood was able to dodge and weave everything until he saw the safety of the cave in the distance. He pulled the everything he could out of his beloved's engine.
The waterfall split and he all but flew off his bike as he jumped of and ran up the stairs towards the Bat-Computer. He knew Tim would be there.
Jason's anger bubbled up now that his whole brain wasn't hard wired for survival anymore. He felt the green try to claw its way to the front of his mind. He couldn't stop himself when he spotted Tim. He full body tackled his brother.
The move delighted the anger but it also enabled him to push it back down.
Jason's heart all but melted when he studied his little brother's face. He had expected fear, considering their history but-
Tim's face donned a wide smile. It was bright and absolutely blew all of Hood's anger out the window. He shook himself out off his daze. He slightly hesitated but then gently ruffled his brother's hair and got up. He offered him a hand to help him up and when Tim took it Jason felt a rare warmth bubble up inside him instead of his anger.
Jason was sure, this was his little brother and he would never allow himself again to destroy that again. He felt his hands twitch as he held back from pulling the smaller male into a bear hug. Instead he turned his focus onto the commotion behind him.
He saw the JL explode into the cave and he just barely saw his older brother flip of the railing, in true Dick dramatics. Jason then spotted a certain young hero swooning, over his older brother. He couldn't help but grin at that.
He moved to stand behind him,
''Damn, you're like gone gone for Dickwing, huh ?'', he teased the speedster.
Said speedster was startled and Hood couldn't help but feel smug. Sure that it translated even through his full gear.
''It has been quite disgusting to witness.'', Robin shimed in from the side. His tiniest brother had joined the group. He was wearing a pair of black sweatpants and a black t-shirt with a big yellow bat on it. His feet were shielded from the cold of the cave by a pair of Robin themes house shoes.
''Truly.'', Red agreed from next to Hood. He had his arms crossed. Jason could barely suppress a chuckle.
Nightwing had in that time signaled the JL to follow him back up and they had hesitantly complied. Barry joined his team again once they reached the top.
''So Red, why the fuck did you have me lead the JL to the suppose-to-be-secret Batcave ?'' He was insanely curious, especially since he couldn't spot Bruce anywhere.
All his questions were promptly answered as a black cat moved to sit in front of Red Hood. It took only a second for Hood to connect the dots. Between the cat's startlingly blue eyes, his massive stature, the grey bat symbol on it's chest and the way it looked at everyone in the room with an all too familiar glare.
Jason couldn't help himself as he fell to the floor loudly cackling at the Cat turned Bat.
Batman had been turned into a fucking cat. This definitely was worse almost dying while being chased by heroes !
This was the highlight of his year.
Well maybe the highlight of his year was Tim leaning on him, half asleep, as they watched the footage of the day again, after the JL had left.
He might've cried a little, as his brother showed him trust he never thought he would get from him, he would never admit to it though.

saw you wrote reverse robins too, it always has a thing for me. what's your headcanon about it? any particular ship you like?
oh i ADORE Revers Robins, i wish i got the chance to write it more! i think there's something interesting in the challenge of flipping these characters and trying to see how they would change in each other's arcs. How Tim would approach being Red Hood, how Damian would approach being Nightwing, etc. it's all so interesting to me. some headcanons i have are
i think, making Damian the oldest and forcing him to mature on his own with just Bruce is fascinating. bc it's going to make a *very* emotionally closed-off Bruce. the bulk of Damian opening up happens when he's Dick's Robin, so to make it just him and Bruce destabilizes a lot of that. Bruce chose Dick, but if Damian's the oldest, it's likely he didn't choose Damian, he got stuck with him. which adds to their dynamic and imo makes Damian a bit more stunted in the way Dick is, in that being raised solely by Bruce can make one. emotionally constipated. i do think Damian would be forced to mature a lot faster and would be a very quiet person.
i've mentioned this in a post talking about JayTim in RR AUs, but Tim as Red Hood would be *far* more calculating, imo. i think a lot of the emotion of Jason's actions would be stripped from it. even if you make Tim a killer (such as when Tim is Savior in a future universe) he's never going to be a "heads in a duffel bag" killer. he's going to be planned and methodical about it. (like how he almost killed Boomerang) half of his plans would be hidden from Bruce and i think part of the game for Tim would just be seeing how much Bruce even figures out.
replacing Tim with Jason instead of vice versa is interesting, bc it forces Jason to enter the role of Robin with a lot more caution. i think his backstory still works in a RR situation, street kid Bruce just kinda plucked from nowhere and called Robin. bc Bruce is grieving, and this if the first kid whose mischief sort of reminds him of Tim. but bc there's a dead Robin before Jason, it means he's going to be treated with much more care. and his anger regarding entering a Red Robin role could be interesting bc he is known for his anger and i do think he'd be far more violent about the transition, as opposed to Tim's self isolation route.
for RR, i always always prefer that it's Damian who adopts Dick. usually i like it best as Damian adopting Dick when Bruce is "dead", but i think it also works if Bruce is alive when Dick comes into the picture. it'd make for a stunted relationship bc of how closed off Damian is while *wanting* to do right by this kid, or at least do better than Bruce did. and i think Damian as Dick's mentor figure would make how Dick confronts his anger very different.
as for Steph, in any case where i do a Reverse Robins, mentally know i'm also picturing it with a Reverse Batgirls. and to keep from Cass just not moving around, i'd include Helena's time as Batgirl and thus, Steph is Oracle, Cass is Huntress, Helena is Black Bat, and Babs is Spoiler. which, makes canon ships like TimSteph and DickBabs a lot of fun. also you have a lot of curious things to explore by flipping Cass and Helena's moral codes under their vigilante titles. Cass as an outsider to the Batfam instead of being under Bruce and Babs' wings? could *really* force her to do unsavory things. and Helena with more support could be a bit softer around the edges. honestly, i could make a whole post about Reverse Batgirls too bc i think most RR AUs don't tend to address the women in it, which is terrible. gimme Oracle!Steph. and with Spoiler!Babs, if you play with Babs brother that rarely exists being the person she becomes Spoiler to stop, that could be super fun.
as for my favorite RR ships: i'm a suck for RR!TimDami. i think it's just bc of all ships, that one tends to play with the AU the most, in my experience? which is *so* fun bc Nightwing!Damian and Red Hood!Tim struggling to reconcile is everything. i devour every fick. i'm also particular to JayTim, just bc i think Jason as Robin seeing Red Hood!Tim would *immediately* be too interested for his own good as he copes with his anger of being replaced as Robin. but seriously any RR ship if the worldbuilding is done well will always draw me in. i just adore seeing how ppl explore filling in the logical loopholes and if backstories need to be adjusted or not and how personalities would naturally change in the situation. it's endlessly fascinating to me.

For the ask game, #3 for Jason Todd??
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
now i do want to preface this by saying my least favourite canon thing about jason isn't entirely jason's fault, and can be better explained of writers just doing whatever the fuck they want or using him as a device to extrapolate a very simplified view of another character (usually bruce) (more on that later). unfortunately however, since it's a character trend that has been repeated so many times, and the question is specifically about canon, it is a big part of his character.
and so my least favourite canon thing about jason is that... he's still around. what i mean by that is: time and time again, the story sets up a problem, a conflict, one that puts jason at odds with batman and/or gotham (two things that are connected whether you like it not) — and then a massive fight. a huge fallout. hurtful words are exchanged, a couple fists, maybe an exploding building or two.
you think woah, that was harsh and unhealthy, surely we won't see them hanging out with each other anytime soon.
then, it happens again.
next story, next conflict, next fight. jason usually gets the short end of the stick, because a batman who loses to his "greatest failure" is not a batman editorial want to sell, and also because in a lineup of characters were the worth of their existence is based on the moral conjugation with other characters, its very easy and usually not a emotional problem to kick the odd one out. red hood is cool enough to fight batman and really mean it, but not cool enough to win the actual battle.
it's come to the point where just the leak of jason in a new bat story makes me roll my eyes. even today, with the leaks of batman #145, all i could think was well, here we go again i guess.
so the most irritating thing is that jason still kicks around with the batfam. if you ask me, this unfixable break between him and bruce should have been established in Under the Red Hood (i have a really long essay post about that... somewhere tumblr tags will not allow me to find). if not then, then Battle for The Cowl (as horrendous of a story that it was) should have solidified the conflict between him and the others. it's because jason is still a character with (alleged) bonds to batman and nightwing etc, that dc gives us repetitive moments like the ones in Rhato, Batman and Robin (2011), Gotham War etc.
his character has remained annoyingly stagnant for this reason. he can't ever be a character cool enough to win the battle if he's always used as the Batman Your No Kill Rule Sucks also You Made Me This Way and I Do What You Can't (proceeds to not do anything all that different) conversational piece.
i don't say all this without some irrational hope that one say someone who actually likes Jason Todd enough to think about his character in any emotional capacity takes over. i do however say this with the acceptance that the one tweet that said "Nothing fans say about Jason Todd was actually ever written on a piece of paper published by Dc comics" was very correct.
to end happily, Red Hood: The Hill is his solo series away from the others! so! here's to hoping!

20 questions for writers
Thank you for tagging me, @adelfie !!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
48
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
560,158
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Oh. Gosh. Now it seems to be Batfam and Voltron. But I have also written Fullmetal Alchemist and I can see myself going back there someday.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
A Lonely Mind- Lance struggles with depression, choosing to hide his problems, he starts down a dangerous road alone.
Luminous Beings- Jason has the ability to see a light around people that are going to die. Tim is the brightest kid he has ever seen.
The Drifter- Lance picks up a "hitchhiker" without realizing it.
O Come Let Us Adore Him-Lance finds himself stranded on a planet that has a hidden danger. It's a good thing he has such welcoming hosts to keep him safe.
Rules and Other Broken Things-5 Times Tim's anxiety took the wheel and 1 time he reached out for help when he needed it
5. Do you respond to comments?
I do now! I didn't used to. I try to get to comment responses within a few days.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmmmm. I do my best to make sure my fics have peaceful endings at least. But maybe The Drifter. That one still felt quite sad in the end.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That's hard to judge too. My characters go through so much... Maybe Luminous Beings actually. Because people were only mildly traumatized.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Once. On my fic: Upon the Road.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
No. lol. If I write characters holding hands in a romantic way, I blush super hard. I just can't write those kind of interactions.
10. Do you write crossovers?
No. But back in the day there was almost a Voltron and Fma fic.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No. I had someone say they bought my fic online, but it turned out they confused me with icypanther. So it was all good.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
One time! But I don't think the translator finished working on it.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, but that is intriguing.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Platonic relationships are what I love. I will read ships, just haven't really written them .
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
The third installment of the O Come Let Us Adore Him series.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue maybe? Also, being succinct.
17: What are your writing weaknesses?
Describing environments. If I say there is a room, just picture any room you would like basically
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I'm rewriting this answer because I realized I didn't read the whole question. Writing in another language is always hard if you don't know the language. I've tried it out. Not really my thing. But I was more comfortable writing about sign language than any other language.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
... Pokemon. lol
20. Favourite fic you've written?
For Voltron: O Come Let Us Adore Him
For the rest: Foul Depths (FMA)
I don't know who would like to do this, but anyone who follows me, feel free! Thank you again for this opportunity!

Jason Todd
Send Me a Character Ask Game
First impression: I don't really remember what my first impression of Jason was. I think I knew he was the Red Hood first before I knew about him being the second Robin or how he died in the first place. I do remember reading A Death in the Family and feeling gutted at how brutal his death was. I think I just felt bad for him tbh :/
Impression now: I support all of Jason's right and wrongs. Especially his wrongs XD
Idk how to put it properly, but I think what I find most appealing about Jason as a character is just how fucking messy all of his relationships are. It's hard not to sympathize with his trauma and I do think he's right to be furious with Bruce and about what happened to him. I honestly cannot blame him in the least for the sheer amount of hurt and distrust he feels towards Bruce and the rest of the Batfam. To me, it makes perfect sense why he acts the way he does.
At the same time, I really wanna shake him like a maraca and get him some therapy STAT XD
Ultimately, I just want to see Jason happy. I dunno what form that should take or if Jason would ever allow himself to be happy in the first place. But I genuinely think he deserves some peace after everything he's been through.
Favorite moment: The entirety of Under the Red Hood is a fucking treat to me because Jason is 19 fucking years old and he manages to pull off every part of his elaborate af scheme. Motherfucker drove Black Mask crazy enough to the point to break the Joker out of Arkham. He planted a bomb on the Batmobile by slow crawling towards it for over an hour. He completely dismantled Black Mask's operations like it was joke and made himself a genuine threat to both Batman and all of Crime Alley/Gotham. Fucking iconic.
Idea for a story: *sobs in mountain of unfinished WIPs*
Favorite relationship: I know there are a lot of mixed opinions on this, but I do love his relationship with both version of the Outlaws. The writing wasn't always the best, but I like the idea of Jason having his own crew and getting up to their own chaotic shenanigans. He genuinely needs more friends who get him.
I also love his complicated/messy af relationship with Bruce. What can I say? I love drama and I love especially flawed characters desperate to fix their broken relationship, but both are completely at a loss at how to even start. Good shit.
Oh, and his relationship with Dick is great. I love how close they eventually get as brothers and how Dick doesn't hesitate to believe Jason when he says he isn't involved or didn't start shit to begin with. I also enjoy it when they fight, ngl. Gotta love me some quality depictions of the Cain instinct XD
Favorite headcanon: Jason being a theatre kid/literature nerd. Mostly because I also love the theatre and classic lit as well :3

it's nice to find someone who's also not a fan of Damien Wayne. I don't hate his character but he's my least favorite Robin and how he treats Tim Drake over all doesn't sit right with me. Especially the whole blood son thing. I'm a fan of the batfamily(but I get that its not for everyone) because I like the found family aspect of it. That no one is really relate to each other and batman created this family on his own. That family doesn't equal blood. And when Damien goes off saying stuff like that I don't like it. Rubs me the wrong way. I get it he's insecure. But it's really messed up thing to say.
Sorry for the long wait on replying.
But yeah, basically everything you said is my reasoning as well. Like Damien sort of worked when he was Dick's Robin because you still had the sense of found family there but once Bruce was back the writers almost didn't know what to do with him in relation to the rest of the BatFam. Like, he's Robin, but he's too quiet and moody so the dynamic of one brooding silent type and one up beat energetic type (which all previous Robin's filled to some degree) was out the window leaving the dynamic kinda..... meh. At least when Dick was Batman he was the more upbeat one so the dynamic still worked to a degree.
Like DC comics just have some overall poor writing going so Damien isn't like the sole excuse for all of it, but they gotta do a lot more work to make me care about this kid than, they've done.
Like they just haven't done a good enough job of convincing me WHY Damien wants to be Robin so badly other than "it's my blood right".
Dick was Robin as an outlet for his frustrations at the injustice that took his parents away. Jason was Robin because he wanted to save people like him who grew up on crime-ridden streets. Tim was Robin because he knew how much Gotham needed a Batman, and Batman needed a Robin.
Why is Damien Robin? What personal motivation does he have outside of "it's my right"? Like, even if it's an outlet for his anger, what is motivating him wanting to help people? Dick and Jason had been victims and wanted to stop other's from being victims also, Tim idolised the previous Robin's and initially wanted Dick to take up the mantel again and only became Robin because there was no other options. The problem is with Damien.... there was already a Robin. He did not have sufgient motivation to want to be Robin outside of being Bruce's blood son, and that's arguably my biggest issue. Character motivations matter, and I can never really get behind most of Damien's.

what are your thoughts on Jason and Roy? I have very complicated thoughts about them because on one hand they’re made out to be good friends so often I can’t be ok with them being strangers it makes me sad :( on the other hand they aren’t good friends not really no them because RHATO destroyed Roy :( so they’re in a weird space of “met this guy two weeks ago would’ve died for him for three days and now we don’t really talk” tragic friendship kinda vibe in my brain. I guess that’s even sadder??? But at least the love was there? Sorry for randomly showing up in your ask box 😭 I’m just curious
I have So Many thoughts on Roy and Jason.
I've been learning a lot more about Roy lately, his history and character and he's so cool so it makes me sad what's happened to him in canon (the account royboyfanpage is a wealth of Roy info I love following them)
my problem is that RHATO could have been cool. they could have made Kory, like, important and sentient. they could have just not reduced Roy to the stupid comic relief guy. they could have kept Jason's backstory instead of rewriting one of my favorite origin stories (stealing the batmobile's tires fucks so hard I can't believe Lobdell thought making him steal from Leslie was better??)
I think Jason and Roy have the potential to have a fun, interesting relationship — little brother stealing his older brother's best friends is hilarious. and I know some people (rightfully) have issues with Roy being aged-down to be closer to Jason's age but I think they still have the potential for hilarity at their relative canon ages.
I like fics that portray Jason and Roy as chaotic, and I do often like Jason/Roy fics because I think the dynamic can be really well written — especially in AUs. I like Jason and Roy bitching about Oliver and Bruce (even though Ollie is like, leagues better than Bruce in canon and loves Roy So Much)
I think what I've learned is that while I enjoy Jason/Roy I really understand why Roy lovers hate Jason because when Jason is in Roy's story it does necessitate some level of character assassination. either by changing Roy's age, changing his relationship with Oliver, changing his relationship with Dick, changing his character in general via Lobdell's bullshit (if I catch u Scott I stg)
which sucks, because I think there are people out there writing really complex Jason/Roy relationships that challenge both characters and complete some great character analysis. you just have to be careful and aware of the way Roy is portrayed to not shape his character to suit Jason, cause that sucks
in the end, I'll still read Jason/Roy, because I like it. sometimes I dislike it in the same way I dislike other characterizations of other batfam and batfam adjacent characters. but I'm taking my time learning about Roy and I'm adding some Green Arrow comics to my tbr (which is 10 miles long) cause if I'm gonna write about Roy I want to understand him

Which Robin is Superman’s favorite?
Hmmmm… well, I’d say the variables would be how well he knows the different Robins, Clark’s own struggles with grief, and the fact that hero-worship is a very awkward thing to deal with. In the order they became Robin, my reasoning is:
Most people default to Dick, and I’d say as long as Superman was a relative newcomer on the scene when Dick was Robin, that’s a very valid take. Clark got to watch Dick grow up, was a huge role in Dick’s life, and clearly loves the kid somewhere on the grand spectrum of nephew -> bratty little brother -> adorable step-son. In continuities where Superman didn’t come onto the scene until after Dick was Nightwing, it’d be an easy slam-dunk thanks to Dick being the most affable, outgoing, team-minded, and (seemingly) level-tempered of the Robins; in those timelines, the only hurdles are that Clark technically didn’t know Dick as Robin, and there’s also Damian in the picture (who we’ll get to later.) I think the main stumble for Dick is continuities where the World’s Finest are both already well established by the time Bruce takes Dick in, because that’s when Dick’s hero-worship of Clark is going to be at its very strongest.
While Jason is a little star-struck when he first meets Superman (see: the full page of baby!Jay just saying “Wow!” over & over,) Superman isn’t his favorite hero, so I think Jason would have an easier time getting over that hurdle to treat Clark like any other hero. (Do we see evidence of this in canon? No, not really. I’m standing by it, though; Dick was an adorable beacon of awkward sunshine upon meeting Superman, and you will not change my mind.) In that case, Jason probably wins out, for having all of Dick’s sunshine with a lot less of the baggage, and Clark getting to see Jason also grow up, at least for a little while; however, it’s a very close race between Jason & Dick, and really comes down to how uncomfortable Dick’s early hero-worship made Clark. Of course, in continuities where Superman came onto the scene post-Jason’s death, the only Jason Todd Clark ever has the chance to know is RH!Jason, so… yeah, Jason’s coming in dead-last in those rankings. (I think they’ve had all of one? Significant canon interaction since Jason came back? Which I’m pretty sure is in the Outlaws series people keep telling me not to read. Also, it’s BS that DC keeps ignoring the veritable font of drama & emotion in how their characters could interact in favor of *gestures at the last decade of people being very angry about every choice DC makes* this.)
Poor Tim’s never going to win this one, I’m afraid. Given how pissed Clark got about Dick taking up the Bat-mantle after Bruce’s death, I cannot see him being okay with Tim becoming Robin if Clark knew Jason. If Tim’s the first Robin Clark meets, than Tim is the Robin who keeps leading the Teen Titans/YJ squads through/into trouble, and Clark doesn’t have the context to realize that’s normal. If Clark first meets Tim post-Red Robin, than Tim’s going to be measured up against the rest of his family, and Tim’s just not as good at making people like him as Dick is. Given time, Clark will eventually grow fond of Tim, but Tim’s fighting too many hurdles to ever win this.
Has Clark??? Ever??? Actually spoken to Steph??? Have they interacted at all in canon??? I feel like he’d adore her, if she just had time to make Robin her own and carve out her own space in the hero community. But DC didn’t give her that, so. No. At most, Steph is a tangential member of the Batfam to Clark, and y’know what? I think that’s a damn shame.
(While we’re on the topic: I haven’t read any of Cass’s time with the Titans or Outsiders, has Clark ever interacted with her? She’s not a Robin, but I’m curious.)
Damian is an abrasive little brat, but he’s Jon’s best friend, so Clark would have more exposure to Damian than almost anyone else outside of the family, and would have time to adjust to Damian’s… idiosyncrasies. I think in any world where Superman gets a late start in the game, Damian would win out by that fact, but in any other world there’s always going to be a part of Clark wishing Damian was more like his brothers—they were so much easier to to interact with!
(I still know almost nothing about Duke.)
So in worlds where Superman starts around the start through the late end of Dick’s Robin career, it’s a toss-up between Dick & Jason, and in worlds where Superman starts any time with Tim or later, it’s either Dick or Damian,
But you know what? In my heart, in the world where Steph got the chance she deserved, where she had all the sunshine Dick & Jason did as Robin, all the irreverence towards authority (especially Batman) as she ever had, none of the baggage any of the others carry (Dick & Jason in hero worship, Tim & Jason in taking on the mantle without Dick’s permission, Cass’s communication struggles, and Damian’s… everything), all the charm that makes us all love her got to shine through, and her own special brand of Robin snark got to be appreciated, she jumps right up there into both those rankings.
Give Robin!Steph more love, time, and adventures 2k23.

for the fanfic ask meme- 🎃 👀 🧠 (guy gardner bc i want you to talk about my blorbo)
🎃 Do you write fics for certain holidays? Which is your favorite holiday inspired fic?
I have yet to write any fics for any holidays (unless you count Pride Month, in which case, gonna promo my criticism of Devin Grayson's Jon Kent Pride story here). I may write a Christmas fic if I can ever get the time in the holiday season because it's fun. I also have a soft spot for Jewish batfam content, but I would need to do quite a bit of research before I wrote a fic for any Jewish holiday.
On that note, I'll rec some other people's holiday fics, lol.
Latkes and Other Fried Foods by metukah — a collection of very sweet and fun Hanukkah stories featuring the Bats!
Cherish The Present by Listentothelittlebird — part of a larger AU (Code Bat) that I love very dearly and will not shut up about. Fluffy Christmas content!
Holiday Trappings by Cloaked Sparrow — also part of a larger AU that I actually need to read the rest of. I stumbled upon this one and really enjoyed it. Jason is loves his family and fjdklfgjfkjfh also....gift-giving as a love language is my shit.
👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!
teehee, this one is fun because I have like 5 open wips + nearly 20 just snippets sitting around.
I'm behind on the Year of the OTP stuff, so I actually have two timberkon fics going at the same time (and I'm hoping I can finish one of them before the end of the month at least). March is a cryptid-hunting road trip fic and April is Kon being oblivious af and not realizing he's been dating Tim and Bernard for weeks because I think that trope is fun.
There's also my big Jason wip that I've been working on for over a year (this was supposed to be a quick thing and it got WAY out of hand). I have a lot of feelings about it, but the basic premise is Jason gets to Gotham and starts his whole plan, but the Bats kinda realize that while he IS killing people, he's definitely more vigilante than criminal and their goals kinda align. So they decided to just work with him rather than against him (because Bruce has an established history of working with characters with different modalities on killing, both in and out of Gotham). And then Jason goes "well, now what?" and just....fails to tell them that "hey, btw, I'm the dead Robin" for like a year while he bonds with them and also gets to see how his death changed things up close and personal. (I'm not kidding, I'm keeping a timeline for this for my own personal reference and we're up to 70% of a year now. Also over 20k words. Holy shit.)
But because it's YOU asking and you get to hear about most of my fics as I'm writing them, I will add a bonus of the summary of wip I have not really told you about:
His siblings all follow Bruce's no kill rule for one reason or another, but the realities of vigilante life is never nearly so black and white. Jason’s there to help with all the grays. Or, 6 times Jason hides a body from Bruce + 1 time he nearly finds out.
🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.
Oh, you want me to talk about your blorbo. I see how it is /lh.
Trying to think of something that isn't just straight up lifted from headcanons we've already discussed....hold on.
Being a GL isn't exactly conducive to having a stable job, so when he first starts out and is in space more often than he's Earth-side, he fills his time on Earth doing volunteer work with kids because he likes helping out and it gives him something to do for the like week he's back home. It doesn't really provide income, so he usually just crashes at other people's place. Hal, John, the jl:i peeps at some point, Oliver Queen on one memorable occasion. Eventually, he gets the bar and his own place, but he still tries to keep up the volunteer work when he can.
Speaking of the bar, to me, Guy's strength in the kitchen is his adaptability, and being a GL only enhanced that. Between having to figure out what makes for good eats on various alien planets and having to come home from long space trips to the 6 shelf stable items left in the pantry, Guy is something of an expert in turning a handful of mismatched ingredients into something enjoyable. This is in direct contrast to Hal Jordan, whose time as GL has just made him used to eating whatever, and now he has the most bizarre palette and will just throw together the strangest combinations and enjoy it. (Both of them have developed a keen sense for what kind of foods will keep their bodies fueled longer and their eating habits reflect that).

I really liked titans portrayal of Gotham city and the Gotham tv series portrayal of the city, and this may sound ridiculous to say but at least for my liking there is not enough Gotham in the batman movies I get that the focus is on batman and whatever loon he's facing but giving some deeper focus to the nitty gritty and utter strangeness of the city and 'average' Gotham citizens is something that I just require lol
I really did not know all that, oh my gosh you're telling me we are legit not gonna see that little bastard (said with such affection) Jason todd version ever ever again because one dude wants his universe to be the only one!?- that is some playground level nonsense and honestly with this many characters and this many storyline possibilities it is just unfair not to make a bunch of universes and that way fans can pick and choose which ones they wanna follow. Like I know some people didn't like the arrowverse (I fucking loved it) but if there's different options you don't have to watch the one you don't like cuz it's not the only one available y'know
Bruce killed the Joker for Jason (that is so huge) heaven above let titans live on for a little bit 😢 a redhood spin off with him attempting to clean up his own mental state and Gotham city with Barbara's help and we could've gotten to see more gotham villians heck Tim could have been included here and there in it cuz he's Robin now, bestie I wanna pull my hair out. And the fight scenes in titans was like near netflix Daredevil level beauty, the brutality shown in some characters (ahem dick and jason) contrasted with how you know that they're good inside that their heart is in the right place (esp dick) but you can visibly see the brokenness
I'm just getting back into titans now, it took forever where I am for season 4 to come on netflix and I still haven't watched s4 yet (I did skip all the way til nearly the end just to watch the episode with redhood lol but oh my seeing Tim be robin was cool)
I kinda really need to see Jason dealing with what he did to poor Hank (hank was one of my favs I cannot believe he didn't get to just nicely retire with dawn 😢)
Okay no but you're right!! I started rewatching Gotham like 2 weeks ago actually lmao and the pure joy the cutscenes bring me just because the city looks so GOOD is insane hjdgfkdh Both Gotham and Titans did a really good job at showing how gritty and gloomy Gotham is while also allowing it feel very organic and completely normal for everyone living there. (like the Titans being a little confused with Gotham stuff happening but you have Dick, Jason, and Babs just rolling with the punches). Tbh I think every Batman related movie/show needs to show the city more like Titans and Gotham because I think showing how Gotham IS explains a lot of why Bruce and the rest of the batfam and villains are the way they are
Nope!! I'm assuming we'll see a version of Jason and Dick (at the very least) at some point but they won't be Titans versions and won't be the same actors. LITERALLY WHAT I'M SAYING!!!! I physically do not care what his role is. He shouldn't be able to just be the only one (again same goes for Marvel). But yes exactly!!!!! Like if there are different universes with a bunch of content for all of them, then like................that's more money?? lmao At the end of the day, studios like making money and if there is only one universe and 1 version of the characters, like you said, some people won't want any part of it because they won't like it. But, if there's another universe for them to watch, they might like that one!!! I have NO desire to watch The Flash movie and it kind of ruins it because actor. But, the show?? It's one of my favorites and I loved Grant Gustin as Barry and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally jkdfhgkdj (I mean the whole cast of the show tbh is so good). I know James Gunn probably thinks it'll work because he worked for Marvel and it worked for them but DC isn't Marvel lmao AND IT SHOULDN'T BE. DC should be different, that's what makes it fun but having to watch 30 fucking movies to understand shit is not fun when I don't like Miller or Momoa or the kid from Santa Clarita Diet who's gonna be in the Superman movie please I don't wanna watch THOSE to watch the shit I want to see (Blue Beetle, I will watch you soon). I wanna watch Titans lmao
OMG BUT TIM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE APART OF THE SPIN-OFF 😭😭😭 That's part of why I'm so angry. Jason is my favorite batfam member, immediately followed by Tim. And those two don't get along often in comics so ya know, the show was NICE and the spinoff could have been EVEN BETTER. (I also just adore Jay as Tim. He will also be MY Tim Drake). I could actually write a whole think piece of morality of Dick and Jason IN Titans lmao because yes the fight scenes were ALWAYS so good (I love the one in the alley in season 1 episode 1 with Dick as Robin idk and Dick and Jason's fight in the words in season 3 episode 4) but yeah no they did such a good job with showing how they can pull their punches but also fight to the death if they really need to but that doesn't make either of them bad. For both of them, it's about the greater good and they just have different viewpoints of what that means because they're both absolutely fucked up (which is also great because it goes the same in the comics and it makes them SO MUCH more interesting as characters). It shows no one is all good and no one is all bad.
jfghdfgfh omg it took so long!!!!! I hope you enjoy season 4!! It definitely wasn't as good as 2 or 3 imo but it was fun!! Episode 9 is really good!! I still smile like an idiot whenever I think about that episode with Jason lmao Tim finally gets his Robin suit thinking he's hot shit and Jason's like "Dude is gonna get his dumbass fucking killed LOL". Episode lives rent-free in my mind forever
Same though!! I need to know like what he did ?? Did he reach out to Dawn to offer an apology?? Did Tim tell Jason he met Hank when he died?? I don't know how he'd ever get over the guilt but I'd love to see the angst that could have brought us!! I wasn't a huge Hank fan but I was still jaw on the floor shocked when it happened and I felt so bad for him skdfh like poor Hank he didn't deserve to be exploded

1, 11, 15, and 16! :D
!!! I'm just seeing this now, guessing this is for the 20 questions to hate ask game. Glad that you've been un-shadowbanned!
1. You have to make one Robin (Dick, Jason, Tim, Stephanie, Damian) not exist permanently and never have existed. Choose which. Probably Tim, honestly. This would be an easier question to answer if I had stronger feelings on the Robins but I've suddenly come to realize that I don't. Tim is the one that I've read the least of, and the one I think about the absolute least in terms of analysis so it's gonna have to be him. 11. Kill one person permanently. (not the joker) It's gotta Hal Jordan for me. I just feel like there were richer stories going on when he was gone. Hal's villain arc and subsequent death both set the stage for Kyle, and afforded him a huge amount of depth in his feelings about Hal's ability for redemption, and not to mention Hal's becoming The Spectre, which is one of my favorite runs that expanded Hal's characterization and his inner life I miss it so bad. Second runner up is Ted Kord, Jaime was in a better position when he had to come to terms with being in the shadow of his deceased predecessor, Booster Gold had a lot of interesting character development in his grief, and Ted hasn't even really been given the proper respect since his revival so what was the point.
15. Favorite jason todd version. Under the Red Hood Jason. He's not super fleshed out since we only had the characterization for about three minutes but, I love tragic villains, I love both his genuine grievances with how Batman opposes crimes and immoralities in how he himself does it, I love that there's still genuine love between father and son that can never be rekindled because the pain runs too deep and the difference in morality is too great. Everything after that is just kind of meh, Morrison writes Jason as the most generic crazy evil bad guy possible, and the post-52 anti-hero Jason never appealed to me, especially since it feels like editorial wants to have their cake and eat it too with Jason being the brooding black sheep, but also being deeply involved with the batfam. Doesn't work for me.
16. Which character do you think is better in the new 52 than outside the new 52. Okay I have a confession to make, I am not qualified enough to answer this. I've read so few New 52 comics I can't make a judgement call. I mostly read comics that were released in the last ~3 years, or comics from the 80s-00s, I missed N52 completely. I had a couple examples that I thought maybe fit the bill and then I realized they were from Rebirth era, not N52, so I guess none.

Okay so basically I love all the bat boys. And all the Robins. Each one has a VERY special place in my heart, and I relate to them on like
Very different degrees.
But I think the one that I currently relate to the most is surprisingly (not rly surprising tbh), Jason Todd. I don't really know it's just something about him. Something so somber yk? Like, not rly in an obsession kinda way. But just, as an understanding.
He's been through a lot of shit, pretty much has been through hell and back and litterally by some force of nature has been ringed back into this shit more times than one can count. And I mean don't get me wrong everyone in the batfam is a little fucked up don't get me wrong. hell, everyone in the DC universe is a little fucked up, but it's an understanding.
In my personal life, life at times seems really weird. I like to think of it as my own form of like, weird pit rage situations, except of course without all of the green eyed rage and shit.
Just like, as if I'm behind a glass wall and I'm not really there. I'm just looking through it. As if I'm some sort of caged animal at the zoo. And like, I get these like
Weird trauma responses to shit, it's whatever I prob won't go into it but like whenever I kinda get triggered by a slight thing that brings back a memory that for some fucked up reason that I can't let go it all goes to shit. Like I can't control myself again like I'm some Rouge animal who's just trying to protect itself but ends up hurting itself and likely others in the process.
Of course I don't mean to, that's why I Relate to him so much. Because we both don't mean to. We've both been through some fucking shitty stuff and we both are at least trying to get better to a degree. Now mind you Jason is still kinda passed off at bruce and the world and such but I digress because at times I get like that too but whatever. Anyways, I just relate to him kinda I guess. Maybe not a lot like other people's favorite heros and characters but with him it's kinda somber and just an understanding. Now mind you Jason needs to go to therapy probably or something and so do I but whatever.
Anyways, all the Robin's and now them at their own Rouge hero stages and in the future and such still have a very meaningful place in my heart and I relate to them too. Depending on the universes and what you think should still be considered "cannon" or at least more tuned in it up to you, BUT personally the batfams way of dealing with their mental health I also relate to which is kinda sad considering that they don't rly have great mental health outlits...I don't fight people or anything ofc, just kinda ignore it or channel it ini my art that now I kinda half do bc honestly pushing out art has drained me.
Which makes me also relate to the batfam because I personally feel like the big bat and the fam want themselves to be on this pedestal and prove themselves to the next in line. Dick to bruce whe he was robin, Jason to dick when he was robin, Tim to Jason, bruce, AND dick. And damian to his father. And steph bc she wanted to prove her dad wrong? Idk. Anyways as I was saying, but who does bruce want to prove himself to? His parents? No body? Likely his parents. Just like his little robins. And me I suppose too. Well, not as much. As you get older at times you just get burnt out and don't care anymore, just like when bruce and dick had their big fight I guess I don't fuckin know.
Eventually you gotta learn not to give a shit, we live on a fucking floating rock in a void of endless space. And bein worried about what other people think about you is important to you? That's likely another reason as to why the batman centered series's and such mean a lot to me. Because they just don't fuckung care! You gotta learn not to care in the end. I know it's hard but like, you just gotta try at least. Damian cares but also cares about who he is and becomes. He learns not to care that people make fun of him for who he is and what he likes to do. So neither should you! (As long as it's not life threating to you or other people of course)
But...getting into the rough patch of things. Mind you this has some graphic stuff mentioned so if I liked one of your blogs and that blog is sfw or if you're easily triggered. Likely don't read after this, I'd be surprised if you got this far anyways.
So anyways. If you are really into dc, more specifically batman, per this blog. You likely are aware of some of the more, controversial topics in the Fandom. Starting off, bruce and Talia. In the comics, bruce and Talia CONSENTUALLY made damian. But in the dcamu movie where batman meets damian, we find out that it wasnt really the case there. Now people agree that they ruined bruce and Talia relationship by doing this but well get into that later.
But when I saw that part of the movie, after finding that out. It kinda hit home for me. Considering that I'm a victim of sa it just, kinda struck a nerve. And bruce stating that "it wasn't all bad" just really brought back something from me. Of course for me it WAS all bad but I digress. It just brought back some troubling thoughts for me. But despite this, I still kinda relate to him. Because in at least one universe, as much as I dontpefer the dcamus version of things. I know that he likely went through something similar to me.
Another example is the older versions of the comics, where nightwing was still discowing (long time ago amiright?) Now mind you many do discredit some comics bc some questionable stuff happened.. but anyways. People don't rly know that in those comics, he got sa'd too. Twice. Which in itself is really fucking sad even though the author regrets writing them and many dont even acknowledge it—
But to me, when I saw that, it also struck a nerve with me. Because both times, he was in a vulnerable place. He was caught off guard and the first time he thought he was doing something consensual with kori. Now even though in my case I was like 5-6 and it couldn't have been consensual either way– I still relate to him. Because we were both caught so off guard, and we can kinda see how it affected him too if you read those comics. Now ofc with the reboot and everything a bunch has changed in some comics- going as far as stating that bruce made the robin suit when actually dick did and made the suit and name in honor of his parents. Also going as far as stating that Bruce took robij from dick. But whatever.
Anyways, I relate to all the batboys and stuff om different levels and shit. Anyways thank you for reading my rant I bid you. Adu. (I can't spell for SHIT)
PLEASE talk to me about your favourite comics characters. ramble about them. tell me their entire storyline. tell me the fanon you hate and the canon you hate. tell me everything. i am so hungry for content and too tired to read a lot. please tell me things. especially about scott summers (doesn’t have an easily accessible long running solo for me to read). also all of your niche smaller characters. also all of your big characters i haven’t gotten into because i don’t understand them yet. please infodump to me its my favourite way to learn.

Fanon steph is mostly sue to either woon over her partner, eat waffles and make vine and meme refrences. She's like the "fun relatable" one
Hmm, i feel like that's somewhat similar to her Batgirl run, but y'all are really missing the point with the waffles - she eats them as a sign of reconciliation with her mother (which is a relationship she nearly lost due to the whole Leslie took her to Africa to heal for years kind of thing). She also eats them with Barbara while they talk and such. Mashed potatoes are her favorite food according to Robin 1993.
She is more lighthearted than the other characters, so i can see where the fun thing came from - but similarly to how Dick is portrayed in group settings that's not all their is to their personalities. Odd similarities on that front - both were tortued, died and were shipped off across the world to remain undercover. Steph has a villain father, and her mom used to be an addict, she was pregnant at 15 and gave up the baby for adoption, and Bruce treated her like a chess piece - a pawn to get his rook (Tim) back as Robin. She's happy and sometimes silly in Batgirl sure, but that's likely the result of years of therapy (I'm assuming Leslie had that as part of the death situation).
As for swooning, i guess i can see it in Robin 1993 to some extent, but that's Chuck Dixon writing about how he thinks a 15-16 year old girl would act and he made her prolife so idk i don't take it as gospel for the character. She still also has issues with her father in the run, but like it does sometimes come off to me as if she's just there to be a source of drama for Tim to deal with (narratively wise). She definitely swoons over Tim at first but by Batgirl she definitely is over the "swooning" phase.
Honestly i wish fandom would explore her relationship with Damian more, and maybe Dick because they've had that shared experience (now that everythings canon I'm guessing she remembers that), and of course Barbara and Cass as her mentor and best friend (and maybe bring back Wendy too). I've only read a few things with Steph, but Put All Your Faults to Bed by hauntedlittledoll is my favorite and features Steph and Damian. Idk i think there are platonic relationships on the batfam that are worth exploring more, her and Damian being one of them - she's someone who also sees him as a child first, and while he's older than her child would be, maybe sometimes she looks at Dick and Damian (and their age gap of almost 15 years) and wonders if she had kept her child, is that where she would be. Anyways now I'm making myself sad so I'll stop.
Edit: i just realized i categorized Steph and Cass as best friends when i ship them, but not in a swoony way
#i really dislike how characters get pegged as the one surface level trait they display if they're in another characters fic#Steph has gone through a ton but anon I'm guessing I'm preaching to the choir#ive seen people want to make her friends with Jason so they can trauma bond#i guess that's fine but you just swapped out Jason for Cass's canon roll which meh#which not a fan of ppl underscoring Cass's roll in the batfam to promote their faves but apples and oranges on that one#idk steph's pretty clearly on team no kill and would back Cass up if Jason and her are kept in character#like her dad's a supervillain and stuff but from what I've read so far she doesn't want him dead#which is similar to Cass and David Cain - Cass is upset when it seems he's died (same with Steph and Arthur)#idk enough about Jason to know if he'd kill his dad or not - but before new52 he'd kill most criminals so steph wouldn't be on board#also I've seen people ship JaySteph and just that seems like a recipe for disaster- steph doing all the emotional work and burning out#guys the best jayson ship is jason x therapy#i feel like as a fandom we also tend to downplay babs importance in the fam#partly because they were giving red robin tim her skills for *checks note* favoritism reasons#this fandom also just doesn't like giving the girls their time to shine - I'm guilty of this too i only write stuff about Dick#but even if you're writing about one of the guys if you include in character interesting versions of the characters you can make ppl#interested in them at the least - i got 2 comments saying they wanted to read more about duke after i had him appear in a fic once#and the fic wasn't even about him so like that's literally my proudest achievement in this fandom#rip the girls in this fandom like oof i should write more with them#batfam#batfamily#stephanie brown#anon#asks

Hey can I ask if you have a playlist of songs you think the batfam would listen to/party rock to?? Thanks love ur work
OH I absolutely can and will share my playlists.
Okay so I have links for the Spotify playlists I use to get the vibes of each character.
Dick Grayson
He's kinda all over but if you have ever seen the trend "white girl dancing" that is how I absolutely picture Dick Grayson with this playlist. I also had to add polkas just cause my eastern European heart couldn't let him live without them.
Jason Todd
Jason is REALLY into reggaeton. He is also a huge theater nerd. If you want Jason to actually clean his house those styles are the two that can get him out of bed to clean. He's also really good at dancing. Feel free to picture him dancing with a broom around his apartment while lipsyncing.
Cassandra Cain
Cass is unironicly into Lindsey Sterling. She can be seen dancing around the kitchen in the manor. She is also really into swing dancing but only to electric jazz music. Yes she's forced almost everyone to attend at least on swing dance night with her. She combines her ballet with swing.
Stephanie Brown
Stephanie hasn't let go of the 2000s or 2010s. Her favorite song is Fireflies by Owl City. Fun fact she likes to do shadow puppets to this song when patrol gets boring. She is also a fan of screaming the lyrics while jumping around her room.
Tim Drake
Tim has no clue what his favorite music is. And honestly he doesn't care. His playlist is a whole mess. He is never given aux in the car. He knows the entire choreo for Crusin for a Brusin from Teen Beach Movie. He taught it to Cass so they can dance it together.
Duke Thomas
Duke is the perfect balance between geek and actual cool music. When Bruce got him a guitar, Bruce was excited for him to learn Superfly by Curtis Mayfield. But Duke learned the power rangers theme song first. He made a whole youtube video of him performing the power rangers theme song.
Barbara Gordon
Barbara has also lost aux privileges. She also has no clue what is going on with her playlist. She is sitting behind the computer for so long she has tried almost every song type. But once at a friends wedding she rolled out to the dance floor when WAP came on and started a conga line.
Bruce Wayne
Ah Bruce Wayne. Emo man #1. Has cried in front of Gerard Way. No lie. He went to a concert with his eyeliner and double pierced ears and bawled his eyes out. Now if he is alone in the batcave, you can see him do air drumming along to "Welcome to the Black Parade".
