song recs: angel by massive attack - beware by deftones (GRRRRRRRR BARK BARK)
San couldn’t seem to stop tossing and turning in bed, forcing his eyes shut and waiting for one side of his pillow to grow far too hot for comfort, before letting out a frustrated groan and rolling onto his other side, his cheek squished against the feathered pillow. Squinting at the glowing analog clock on the bedside table across from him, San blinked a few times, his eyes getting used to the darkness inside the room. It was already nearing dawn and he still hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep. There had to be some kind of solution.
It was then that you shifted besides him, emitting a soft moan and rolling onto your back, your loose tank top lowered just enough so that one of your tits had popped out of it, creating another obstacle for San to overcome, one that wouldn’t let him fall asleep until he confronted it.
“Fuck,” San whispered to himself, pushing the covers down far enough to confirm his growing problem. With half-closed, tired eyes, your boyfriend watched his cock repeatedly throb upwards against his loose black sweatpants, as if it was begging him to do something, and quick.
Hs thought back to a conversation you had earlier that week, one you brought up after he had just got done fucking you all over the house in every position imaginable. Like many of your sex marathons, it was initiated because of something simple — you being bent over the washing machine to fill it up with a load of detergent, which, of course, led to San filling you up with his own load in every possible area of your house, including the back patio when you tried to water your poor succulents.
“Sannie, you might as well fuck me when I’m asleep too, at this point,” you giggled, running your fingers through San’s soaked hair, admiring the way he looked in between your legs, with his mouth and tongue exploring your leaking, cum-filled cunt.
“You mean that, angel? My dumb slut wants me to fuck her even dumber in her sleep?” he asked in between licks, humming softly as he continued to languidly clean you up after the destruction he caused to your used hole. It was his favorite pastime, besides rearranging your insides and painting them white with his seed, of course.
Moaning at his mean words, you tugged on his hair, rubbing your soaked pussy in his face like you always did. “Yes, I mean it, baby. Now, shut up and clean up your mess.”
Before San knew it, he was hovering over you, your thighs wide open and resting against his own, your loose, nonexistent sleep shorts tossed to the side so that he could eagerly rub his slick cock along your plush folds, his thick, calloused fingers exploring every inch of your heated skin, groping at your soft thighs, your hips and waist, eventually getting distracted by your tits, rolling your tank top up over them until they spilled out into his greedy hands. He squeezed and rolled them around, bringing his drooling mouth down to your chest to drag his hot tongue up and over your tits until they shined with his spit, pinching your puffy nipples in between his teeth until you whined out in your sleep, feeling your arousal leak out onto his pulsing cock when he finally pushed inside.
“Mmn, my angel is such a good little cocksleeve, so fucking wet for me even in her sleep,” San sighed lovingly to himself, sucking one of your tits into his mouth, spitting on it for good measure, before exchanging it for the other, moaning around your soft flesh, his eyes never leaving your pretty flushed face, even though you weren’t even awake to look down at him.
Unable to hold himself back, he began to buck his hips wildly into you like he always ended up doing when your tight, warm cunt sucked him in the way it did, the headboard beginning to bang loudly against the wall behind it. Grunting, San licked up from your spit-laced chest to your neck, sucking and biting into it, leaving his mark on you. “My baby, my sweet girl, you’re mine, all mine, even when you’re dreaming,” he whispered against your slick skin, slowly pulling back when he heard the breathy gasps you were letting out turn into full-blown moans.
“S-sannieee, I’m so full,” you voiced in a sleepy tone, reaching up to rub your tired eyes, studying your boyfriend’s rosy cheeks and lips, the way his drenched hair stuck to his forehead, a few drops of sweat landing on your face, unable to look away from his intensely dark, lust-filled gaze. “Is my pussy making Sannie go crazy?”
A low growl erupted from San’s throat, a vein starting to grow taut against his skin, now that he was pounding into you with abandon, reaching up underneath your thighs to forcibly fold you in half like you were nothing but a doll for him to use. “Your slutty cunt always drives me crazy, princess, so be good and take responsibility, hm?”
Barely able to breath now that you were akin to origami, your brain grew delightfully fuzzy from the lack of oxygen, encouraging the hazy, half-asleep state you were still in and the oversized cock that was being driven relentlessly into your cervix to work in tandem until pleasure overtook your body to the point of orgasm. “Fuck, Sannie, baby, fffuuck, I’m cumming…!”
“Oh, my dirty girl, creaming yourself so soon?” San mused with his lips quirked into a shit-eating grin, his dimples and canine teeth on display. Just as your eyes begin to disappear underneath your fluttering eyelids, San suddenly grabbed you by the chin, reaching down in between your sweaty bodies to smack his hand down roughly against your spasming cunt. “Look at me when you’re squirting on my cock, baby. You know better.”
“S-sannie, it’s so, oh my god–” you cried out, opening your mouth to moan and instead feeling his thumb slide over your tongue, your lips closing around it. You continued to suck on his thumb as he fucked you through your first mind melting orgasm of the night, biting into it when he smacked your cunt again with his free hand.
“Owww, bad girl.” San watched you lick and suck on his thumb with a lecherous smile plastered on his red, sweaty face, rubbing his other thumb roughly into your puffy clit, rolling it in circles until he felt your thighs trembling nonstop against his moving body, suddenly stopping his movements to sheath himself fully inside you, groaning heavily as he flooded your pulsing cunt with his hot load. “Mm, you feel that, princess? I’m pumping all my cum into this slutty womb of yours, so I can get you nice and knocked up for me…You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
Just as he pulled his thumb out of your drooling mouth, you clasped your hands onto his cheeks, looking up at him hearts in your teary eyes, and begging, “Yes, Sannie, I like it, love it so much. Can I have more?”
And there it was. You might’ve been the love of his life and his beautiful angel of a girlfriend, but you were still his personal breeding bitch at the end of the day — and in the middle of this hazy, sleepless night.
“Oh, yeah?” San hummed, slowly pulling out of you and running his fingers through his wet hair, just for it to fall back into his half-lidded eyes, watching as his cum began to flood out of your gaped, fluttering hole. He wanted nothing more than to eat it out of you, his mouth watering at the thought of tasting the warm saltiness mixed with your sweet squirt on his lips, but he still had to pursue his mission of pleasing his baby. “My little slut still hasn’t had enough?”
“No, Sannieee, I need your cock in my other breeding hole. Please?” you whined softly, pouting up at him, hoping you’d get your way now that you were fired up and desperate for him to fill and own as many of your holes as he could before the both of you fell victim to drowsiness.
San closed his eyes to ground himself for a second, not even fully prepared for the filth that you exuded, despite being quite the pervert himself. When he opened his eyes back up, he looked down, his curved cock now painfully stiff and twitching upwards into his heaving abdomen, somewhat winded from how hard he had been fucking you just a moment ago. “Head down, ass up, little slut. Don’t make me ask twice.”
And just like that, you were lying with your head pressed into bed, drooling heavily from both ends, getting saliva onto the arousal stained mattress, your sopping wet cunt pushing out all of San’s load and causing it to drip down your inner thighs, your weak, bruised knees wobbling beneath you, your ass being relentlessly pounded into by your ravenous boyfriend. “Gonna cum, gonna cum–”
Your warning was cut off by a sharp gasp, just as San’s hand collided with the side of your reddened ass, his fingers grabbing into the soft, sensitive flesh until you whimpered pathetically. “You’re such a filthy slut, aren’t you?” he growled between gritted teeth, smacking the other side of your ass and making you cry out before you could answer him properly. He suddenly pulled out of your ass and forced himself back into your cunt, stuffing you completely full, hunching over you so that he could put you in a headlock, loose enough so that you remained conscious, but tight enough so that you could feel deliciously dizzy. “You’re my filthy slut. All mine to fuck raw, to ruin, to breed. Yeah?”
“Yeah,” you whispered hoarsely, opening your mouth up to accept his tongue inside when he closed in on you, feeling breathless once he manipulated your body until you were back underneath him, your legs near your head, his cock so deep inside your cunt that the tip of it created a prominent bulge inside your stomach, one that San was already palming as he began to shudder, his lips, teeth and tongue attacking your neck again to leave more marks, darker ones that you would have to put concealer over before you went to work the following morning. “That’s it, that’s it, cum inside me, San, please, make me yours!”
“You’ve been mine since the beginning, angel, but I’ll make you mine again, and again, and again,” San exhaled onto your lips, wrapping his arms protectively around you, his cock completely sheathed inside you, his tip just about kissing the entrance of your cervix, your bodies so entangled together, neither of you knew where the other began. You gazed into each other’s hazy eyes, moaning into each other’s open mouths, as another seemingly endless flood of thick, hot cum claimed your womb. “I love you so fucking much, it hurts.”
“I love you too, San,” you sighed back, caressing his heated face, your fingers slipping into his hair just as he began to lower himself down, shuddering at the sensation of his lips and teeth making their mark on your chest, abdomen, hips, then gasping when he made his way to your center, his hot tongue slipping inside your pulsing cunt.
Like every time before, San ate his warm load out of you like a starved man, his nose nudging your sensitive clit as he moved his head in an up and down motion, coaxing more of the saltiness onto his tongue, reaching up to rapidly rub your clit just because he could, pleased with the way you began to cry and shake, your warm squirt pouring down his throat. He swallowed it all down with a low, pleased groan, dragging his tongue up and over your used, puffy cunt to collect the last few drops of nectar, before he finally felt tired enough to collapse down onto the bed next to you.
With the last ounce of his strength, he pulled you into his arms, pressing a kiss to your forehead, then to your lips, letting you taste your combined essence. “Bedtime?” San whispered, cradling and rubbing your cheeks with his thumbs, looking at you with a fondness that bordered obsession. He chuckled softly, giving you a dimpled smile. “I promise I won’t wake you up again.”
“You won’t wake me up, but you still might fuck me in my sleep? Huh, nympho?” you teased jokingly, cradling his face back, so close that you breathed in the same air, your eyes never leaving his, despite how heavy your eyelids began to feel. “I need my sleep, you know.”
San was in a similar state, starting to drift off, his hands leaving your face so that he could wrap them protectively around you. “Sorry, baby. I’ll try to be quieter next time,” he murmured, letting out a soft giggle, pressing a kiss to your lips just as his eyes began to close. “Just don’t be mad at me when you wake up with my cock still inside you…”
Leaving a kiss on his nose, your eyes started to close as well, completely relaxing into your boyfriend’s warm embrace. “I’ll be mad if it’s not still inside me.”

Notes: Maybe I went a little beyond the prompt, but Niji and this MC were such a blast to write I love this setting
The Vinsmoke boys were hardly strangers to a good rager, and when it came to ones that Ichiji would readily, intentionally drag himself out to, your parties were almost always guaranteed his presence. He’d even go as far as to put it in his calendar, for fuck’s sake, and it wasn’t just for the free booze.
As you perked up from the other side of the pool, Ichiji was reminded why he had gone through the trouble of dragging his brothers out in the first place. You made a show of standing up on a sturdy, expensive-looking pool chair as you waved, and to a lack of surprise, you were wearing something that left little to the imagination.
The booze was bottomless, the guest list was always impressive, and all the decor was as high-end as money could buy. Extra, as Yonji had once described it, or perhaps he was describing you. It all accented the modern pool in the center of your yard that easily cost tens of thousands of dollars in and of itself, yet all of it paled compared to the actual reason Ichiji always showed up.
By the time you dismounted and began to run toward them— with little regard for how the colorful drink in your hand was spilling over the edges— Niji had stopped mid-sentence to take his sunglasses off to reveal shining, blue, captivated eyes.
You were the one person who could make Niji shut the fuck up.
“Ichiji, baby.” He leaned to accept the two kisses you placed on his cheeks. He wouldn’t do the same for anyone else, and both of you knew it. You spared a glance just behind the eldest Vinsmoke son before returning your self-satisfied gaze to Ichiji. “Need a babysitter that bad?”
Ichiji let out a reluctant sigh. You could always clock him faster than he expected. He should have known as much; it happened every single time.
“Please just take him.”
“There’s already a drink for you at the bar.” With a wink, you swatted him away with the back of your hand, and it didn’t take much more convincing for Ichiji to wander off.
Niji had been particularly insufferable for the past week, which was saying something considering that regularly insufferable seemed to be Niji’s default state.
When you turned your attention to Yonji, you noticed that he had already taken his shirt off, grabbing it from the back collar to heave over his head and throw somewhere onto the lawn. He donned lime green swim trunks, and his brown sandals were also lost somewhere in the grass. You’d surely find them tomorrow morning and add them to the growing stock of clothes Yonji had already left at your place. He certainly passed out in the guest room enough times.
Yonji barely greeted you with a simple “Hey hot stuff,” leaning down to just brush his lips across your cheek as he bounded toward the pool. You caught something about an inflatable crocodile before you heard a loud splash behind you.
Niji was left grinning from ear to ear as you sauntered toward him, grabbing him by the loose tie he wore and pulling it tight around his throat. You tugged him toward you to plant a kiss on the corner of his lips.
”Hi, Niji.”
Niji was your favorite, and that was something he reveled in every blessed day he had on earth.
“Hey, sweetheart.”
You pulled back, still keeping a grip on Niji’s tie. Your bottom thumb swiped along the opposite corner of his mouth to clear away a bit of drool. You had him wrapped all the way around your finger, and if his reactions were any more cartoonishly apparent, you might have seen tiny little hearts in his pretty blue eyes.
His finger hooked around the band of your swimsuit.
“I like this.”
“I thought you might. It’s new; I got it this weekend—”
Niji’s touch recoiled as you led him to the other side of the pool where you had been before, pulling him by his tie. The thin, patterned tie that complimented his casual, sleeveless, black button-down draped nicely over the back of your shoulder, and you continued to play with it as you sat and leaned your side against his chest.
You sat on the cushion of the deep poolside lounge between Niji’s spread thighs with one arm draped over his shoulder. Your legs curled over his left leg. The hand over his shoulder played with his undercut, causing a shiver to go down his back.
“There was this new cafe that opened in Cocoyashi that I was dying to go to, and so, of course, I had to call up Nami because she’s from there, you know. Did you know that Nami grew up in Cocoyashi?” you babbled. Niji nodded along, a scotch neat somehow having found itself in his hand.
“That’s crazy,” Niji hummed, taking a sip.
“And so she’s showing me all these boutiques. Oh! The cafe had this blueberry danish that made me think of you. You have to go and try it…”
You usually rambled on like this, draping yourself over Niji’s arm or placing yourself in his lap to tell him all about the frivolous little treats you had bought yourself since the last time you’d seen each other. You dropped names in every other sentence, many of which Niji didn’t know nor care.
If he was being frank, when it came to your babbling, Niji couldn’t’ve given less of a shit, and if you were anyone else, he would’ve already pushed you off his lap. But you kept a few fingers running through his hair and a drink in his hand, and so, the more Niji drank, the less he cared how chatty you were.
“Niji, have you been working out?” You splayed a hand over his chest, tossing his tie over his shoulder. You knew when you were losing him as well as you knew how to rein him back.
Niji grinned widely, slouching a bit more into the couch with one arm slung over the back cushions and the other around your waist.
“Yeah,” he bragged, a light red tinge on his cheeks. “I’ve been on a cut.”
Niji had the textbook definition of a swimmer’s body. Tall, with a lean, muscular build and broad shoulders, his figure was toned and objectively attractive. A cut, he said with his second glass in his hand. You must’ve been exceptional.
“Wow, really?” you asked, letting your eyes wander as Niji began some tangent about red meat or protein something.
Suddenly, you shot up, nearly causing Niji to jump with you as you let out a boisterous scream before shooting off toward the other end of the lawn. New guests typically parked out front in your massive, circular driveway and let themselves in the main entrance and out the back door to the pool area. You bounded toward the door, just about throwing yourself at the man who had just arrived before he could even step fully onto the lawn.
Yonji resurfaced from under the water, raising his arms to hold the ledge near where Niji had been left. Niji sat at the edge of the couch cushion, elbows over his knees as his leg bounced.
“The hell is that all about?” Yonji asked, not about to see from the pool.
Niji grumbled, pursing his lips inward as he glanced toward you and then back to Yonji with a rude, pointing gesture of his thumb.
“Did you know Roronoa was gonna be here?”
Yonji turned, keeping a hand on the ledge of the pool.
“Oh, shit.”
Niji huffed again. Yonji’s reaction hadn’t exactly been helpful. Niji looked away for a second, and by the time he looked back, the group at the entrance of the yard had multiplied. Niji stood up, storming over to the other side the moment he laid eyes on a familiar cut of blond hair.
“A 2015 Château Margaux, an elegant wine for an elegant host.”
“Aw, Sanji, you shouldn’t have! You’re so sweet.”
Sanji was more than eager to receive the two kisses you offered his cheeks.
Niji passed the one guy who competed in the professional shooting competitions, who was making his way to the pool before nearly colliding with the bigger guy who always hosted barbecues at the beach that Niji never went to. Jesus, the entire crew was here.
Niji glared holes in the back of Sanji’s head, grabbing him by the back collar of his Hawaiian shirt before yanking him back. He disappeared from the group quietly enough, with everyone’s attention captivated by you while you were captivated by everyone else. The life of a host never had its breaks, Niji supposed.
“The hell you think you’re doing here?” It wasn’t the smartest question, but it was the one that left Niji’s lips.
Sanji ripped himself away from his brother’s grasp to face him defensively. Sanji had gone to live with their mother almost ten years ago, and despite Sora’s attempts to build close bonds amongst her children, Sanji hardly spoke to any of his brothers after he turned sixteen. Niji suspected he kept in contact with Reiju, but she’d never tell him and Niji certainly didn’t care. Now, in adulthood, while the Vinsmoke siblings would see each other on occasion, it was almost never purposeful.
“We were invited, dumbass.”
You knew everyone; by extension, everyone was invited to your extravagant parties. Sanji had been to them before, as had other friends you and Sanji shared mutually. They, however, were an uncoordinated bunch and rarely showed up together. Zoro was a rare sighting in and of himself.
“God damn, Zoro, where’d you get these?”
You stood in front of him, weight shifted to your hip. You held the bottle of wine from Sanji cradled in your left elbow while your right hand wrapped around Zoro’s exposed bicep. He wore a sleeveless workout hoodie and dark green basketball shorts. Your hand barely wrapped around half his muscle.
“I dunno. They’re the same size as last time.”
“No way. They’re definitely bigger. Are you gonna get in the pool?”
“Ha! Not with that bar over there, are you kiddin’ me?”
Niji came up behind you, snaking an arm gingerly around your lower back as he leaned in, trying to catch your attention from your peripheral. He made eye contact with Zoro, who immediately frowned at his presence.
The begrudgingly mutual tolerance Zoro appeared to have with Sanji didn’t appear to extend to any of the other Vinsmoke brothers. Yonji occasionally worked out with him, but they were hardly close enough to hang out outside the gym. Zoro glanced Niji up and down before crossing his arms.
Niji’s reputation proceeded him.
“Vinsmoke.”
“Roronoa.”
“Niji, come check out Zoro’s arms. Aren’t they crazy?” You were oblivious to the silent round of ocular fisticuffs that occurred out of your range of sight. Zoro stared Niji straight on, an acutely smug smirk twitching the corner of his mouth. “You must have a killer routine.”
“Kenpō,” Zoro said, popping the “p” sound.
Niji tore his eyes away from Zoro and tugged at the band of your swimsuit.
“C’mon, baby, weren’t we talkin’ about something?” he tried to laugh, trying to fight off the way he was burning up inside. Niji’s barely restrained temper usually got him kicked out of events like these, but he wasn’t about to break one of the only rules you had.
One, don’t break shit. Two, don’t steal shit. Three, no fights.
“Not really.” You shrugged off his touch, much to Niji’s dismay.
He immediately scowled. You didn’t notice, or at least pretended not to. Zoro, on the other hand…
“Hey, man, you got a problem or something?”
Zoro’s arm extended in front of you, making you step back as he pivoted to stand partially between you and Niji. Niji was forced to step back, and for once, he took a second to think carefully as a deep scowl contorted his lips. Well, he thought as carefully as Niji could think.
The usual slouch of his back disappeared as he rose to his full height, squaring his shoulders back. He had a few inches on Zoro in height, even as Zoro stood with his chest puffed out and his arms crossed over his chest. They squared each other up, moving in close before you injected yourself between them. You planted a firm palm in the middle of Zoro’s chest and then Niji’s, having to put a bit of effort into pushing them apart.
“Alright, boys, tone it down with the testosterone. If you’re gonna fight, you’re not doing it here.” You frowned, trying to shoo both of them in different directions. “Grab a drink or something.”
They held heated glares even despite your protests.
“I’m not the one who has the problem here.”
“You white-knighting, Roronoa?”
“God, just kiss already or shut the fuck up!” You snipped at the two of them, turning to scold one away before turning around to dismiss the other. You snapped your fingers before grabbing the bottle of wine you had shoved into Sanji’s arms. “C’mon,” you said to him with a huff. “I wanna open this.”
Sanji gladly followed you inside. Zoro rolled his eyes and made for the bar, and Niji, not one to give up so easily, chased after you, calling your name.
You barely reached the doorway to your house when you stopped, letting your shoulders fall with a dramatic sigh. Sanji was a few steps ahead of you. His mouth opened as Niji continued to pester you, stepping forward to get involved. But you stopped him, once again passing the bottle of wine off to Sanji as you started to get annoyed.
“Sanji, love, be a dear and open this please. I’ll be right over.” You accented your words with a pointed glance Niji’s way.
Sanji was reluctant to back off, glancing between you and his brother before slowly entering the kitchen. The modern, open kitchen was just inside the back door. Nami and Robin were already seated at the island, chatting amongst themselves as they snacked on the ridiculously large charcuterie spread.
You pulled Niji aside.
“What?” you snipped. Niji shifted his weight to his back leg and shoved a hand casually into the pocket of his shorts with a wide grin. He trailed the back of his knuckles along your cheek.
“You know I love it when you get all fiery, baby, but c’mon now—” He glanced toward where Sanji was pouring wine. — “The hell are you hanging out with my loser brother for when we were having such a great time?”
You rolled your eyes. Niji scowled as you pushed his hand away.
“Because you’re being annoying, Niji,” you pouted, crossing your arms over your chest with an upturned nose. Niji visibly darkened, shoving his other hand into his empty pocket as he hunched over you. “Maybe don’t act like a freak when I’m just trying to say hi to my friends.”
“Oh, is that what you’re calling feeling up Roronoa?” His voice dropped in tone, but didn’t lose the arrogant attitude. Niji cocked his head to the side, his face growing closer to yours. You blinked in astonishment, lip curling as you recoiled.
“The fuck?” you spat. “Have you seen the way I talk to you and your brothers? With literally everyone here? Or is it because it’s Zoro?” Niji’s expression visibly twitched at the mention of Zoro’s name. His back straightened the slightest bit before he leaned back toward you, arms crossed tightly over his arms.
“It’s different.”
“Literally, how?” You glanced around the corridor you stood in. You weren’t very secluded, but no one appeared to have followed the two of you to check out the commotion. You’d prefer to keep it that way. “Because you don’t have to like everyone I’m friends with. I haven’t seen him in a long time, Niji, so why don’t you shut the fuck up.“
“Hey, watch it,” Niji gritted. He grew closer, and you glanced him up and down with disgust.
“Or what? Are you gonna fuck me up, Niji?” You pushed him back. Niji’s arms unfurled as he almost slammed his back into an adjacent wall. “Are you gonna beat me unconscious because I’ve pissed you off?”
You were getting in his face, and Niji pulled back, pivoting around on his heel with a series of head shakes as he ran a hand over his face. He pointed a finger at you.
“That’s a low fucking blow; that happened when I was a kid, and I never would have told you that if I knew you were going to lord it over my fucking head—”
— “Seventeen is barely a kid!” —
“You’re the one who fucked off to feel up another guy’s tits.” Niji pointed aggressively in the direction of the backward. “So check your bitchy fuckin’ attitude ‘cause I’ve done jack shit.”
“Yonji’s tits are in my hands like every time he’s here, and you’ve never said shit about that, now have you, Niji?” You were screaming at this point, and you wouldn’t have been surprised if you turned a few heads of guests who were enjoying your indoor amenities. You were heated, bursting at the seams with little regard for how ridiculously your fight was devolving.
Niji rolled his pretty blue eyes. They were still pretty, no matter how pissed off you were at him. Maybe you found them pretty because he was your favorite, or perhaps he was your favorite because you found them so pretty.
“That’s because Yonji’s Yonji.”
“He’s got his own fucking drawer here, and you’re getting pressed over nothing! You can’t come here, acting like my boyfriend and starting shit when you don’t do relationships.” You weren’t expecting your words to ring out over the room like they did.
Suddenly, the energy in the atmosphere took a deep plummet, leaving you and Niji face to face. Both your eyes were wide as they stared into each other. You watched as his electric blue irises darted around your face, all the annoyance and rage he wore on his face melting into something resembling shock.
“Neither do you, so what’s your problem?” he asked lowly.
Another beat of silence overtook the space around you as you stepped back. You averted your gaze to somewhere else in the room. Niji continued to study you. You could feel his gaze.
“You know better than to pick fights here, Niji.” You shook your head, running a hand over your hair. But what seemed to mimic resignation didn’t last long as you whipped toward him to raise your voice again. “Now you’ve got me pissed when I thought tonight was going to be fun!”
“I wasn’t the one picking a fight, so you can take that to your boy toy,” Niji’s tone was simmering, deep, and level. His hands were shoved back into his pockets, and his shoulders appeared somewhat relaxed as he assumed his usual posture. A deep scowl was still present on his lips.
You huffed, backing off yourself.
“I’m done talking to you, Niji. Get out.” You turned on your heel and stormed back out into the backyard.
It was the worst fight you had ever gotten into. Hell, it might’ve been the only fight you and Niji had ever gotten into. After all, there had never been much to fight about before. The both of you tended to keep things light. He got to ramble about his petty and frivolous things, and you got to babble about yours. You hadn’t needed to go much deeper.
You were sexy and had more charisma in your pinky than anyone else Niji knew. You kept a drink in his hand. You knew the right spots on his undercut that he liked scratched, and it was something about getting attention from you that had him over the moon.
“How’s it feel being the favorite?” Yonji once asked him.
On the other hand, Niji wasn’t entirely sure why you had picked him out of everyone you knew, and you certainly knew everyone. You spent so much time and money throwing these parties— which you held regularly— yet you always carved out time to pay him some special attention. You always greeted him, gave him all the amenities he could ask for, and sat with him for the better part of the night just talking.
Niji knew of his more infamous reputation. He was nowhere as well-liked as you, and when it came to getting into trouble, Niji had paid his way out of sticky situations more times than he’d counted. He was satisfied with any excuse to throw a punch because when it came to people who mattered, who should he give a shit about anyone but his two brothers and his sister?
And then you came along. You came along with your talk— Niji made it abundantly clear the first night you met that the last thing he was interested in was talk (not when you looked like that, HELLO)— and now, for the first time, Niji worried.
“If you’re gonna be angsty and shit, can you do it somewhere else?”
Niji didn’t realize how far he had sunk into his couch cushion until Ichiji spoke. The ice in Niji’s glass had already melted.
Ichiji turned to him, one leg crossed over the other and a whisky in his hand. A neutral frown plastered across Ichiji’s lips.
“Weren’t you leaving?” he asked.
The couch Niji had found Ichiji sitting on was tucked away on the other side of the yard. A dormant firepit sat in the middle of the semi-circle seating, and the grill wasn’t too far away as a team of professional chefs made food. Seeing this seating area from the pool was difficult, but Niji could see you talking to Zoro again from where he sat.
Ichiji shifted, leaning a bit to the side as he regarded Niji.
“Why don’t you just apologize?"
“Because I didn’t do shit,” Niji snapped. But at the view of the dismayed and stern expression on Ichiji’s face, Nijij immediately simmered. “We got into a fight…”
Ichiji sighed, leaning back against the couch cushion behind him. Despite an equally close relationship with Yonji, at the end of the day, Niji was Ichiji’s ride-or-die. Ichiji wouldn’t hesitate for a second to kill for his brother if it ever came to it, and if there were ever a day Niji showed up at his door with a trash bag and a shovel, Ichiji wouldn’t waste a second grabbing something to dig with from the garage.
However, this didn’t make Niji any less annoying. If there was anything Ichiji found more irritating than Niji yapping dreamily about you, it was undoubtedly him silently pining over you. Niji looked like a kicked puppy, for fuck’s sake. It was unbecoming.
“I’m sure it’ll all blow over by tomorrow morning,” Ichiji said, returning to his whisky. “Go home, shower, order some flowers to be delivered, and make a reservation somewhere nice for tomorrow night. You’ll be fine.”
Niji immediately stood, and it was with a suddenness that communicated to Ichiji that Niji hadn’t absorbed a single thing he’d said. Ichiji’s back straightened as he sat at the edge of the couch cushion.
“Hey, what are you—”
Niji was already making his way over to you. You stood at the side of the pool, standing in a circle with Sanji, Zoro, and some other vaguely familiar faces that generally hung out with that crew. Zoro stood at your side, and Sanji at your other. The pool was directly behind you.
Niji stormed across the yard with purpose and confidence, and the group hardly had time to react to his presence as he cut right through the circle to get to you. It all happened so quickly that the words, “What the fuck, Niji?” didn’t even make it out of your mouth before Niji took your drink from your hand and shoved it at Zoro before hoisting you up to throw you into the pool.
Splash!
The shocked expressions didn’t melt into action fast enough as Niji turned, throwing up both middle fingers before smirking widely.
“Get fucked, Roronoa!” Niji proclaimed before falling backward into the pool where you were just beginning to resurface and gather yourself. The splash he made sent a wave over your head, further drenching your face and hair.
“Niji, you asshole!”
Even fully clothed, Niji made swimming the deep end of the pool look easy, quickly gathering you in his arms before paddling to the opposite side of the pool. The pool was as large as it was expensive, but Niji made short work of the distance, placing you on the ledge of seating that ran across the perimeter. The water lapped at the middle of your ribcage. Niji remained suspended in the deep end, folding his arms over your lap as he gazed up at you.
You raised your hand to slap him, but Niji caught your wrist, pinning it down to your lap as he crossed his arms again.
“Niji!”
“Tell me about shopping with Nami in Cocoyashi,” he hummed, a smug little smile on his lips. You hit the water with your other hand, splashing Niji across the face as he laughed. The stern frown on your lips didn’t falter.
“I thought I told you to get out.” Niji gathered both your hands in his, crossing them over each other to pin them down by his wrists on your lap.
“Well, I decided on more important things,” he said, cocking his head. You rolled your eyes, trying to move your hands. His grip on you was too firm but not enough to hurt. You continued to glare down at him.
“Oh yeah, like pissing me off—”
“I’ve decided that you’re no longer single.”
A solid pang reverberated in your chest. Your lips parted, agape in shock as Niji continued to smirk up at you. He released one of your hands, resting his cheek on his palm. The fingers of his opposite hand were still intertwined with yours.
“That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard,” you spat, narrowing your eyes. The feeling of his thumb swiping over the back of your hand wasn’t lost on you as a warm heat rose under your skin. “Something tells me that that’s something I need to consulted about, genius.”
“Hear me out,” Niji didn’t give you time to respond. You crossed your arms over your chest. “We see each other every weekend, drink, and chit chat… But what if I want to see you more than just every weekend?”
Niji stared up at you with a self-satisfied grin as you waited for him to elaborate.
“That’s it?” you asked. Niji nodded with a victorious hum. “That’s the speech you’re giving to win me over?”
“If you need it in more elementary terms, I like you, and you like me, so let’s do something about it.” He rotated his wrist to intertwine his fingers in yours fully. He continued to snicker, something about his own audacity amusing. You stared him straight on.
“You just wanna smash.”
“Oh, absolutely.” You noted his three-point glance as he looked you over before his gaze drifted to your fingers. He moved your hand as he talked, bringing it behind his head to his undercut. “But I’m not opposed to spoiling you a few times a week either just to call dibs. Buy all the blueberry pastries you want. Little numbers like this’ll be on me, and there’s more where that came from—” He tugged at your swimsuit. — “And I don’t know jack shit about wine, but I can probably pick out a nice one… or pay someone to do it for me.”
Niji was already beginning to run your nails through his hair before you pulled your hand away.
“I’ve got my own money.”
“I know you do, but I also know you’d do something nice with your hair if I gave you a couple hundred for it.” Niji’s grin only grew wider. “Or get yourself dinner somewhere expensive, designer clothes, whatever the fuck you wanna do.”
“And I’m not going to stop hanging out with Zoro either or Sanji just because… I don’t even know what’s going on there.” You scrunched your brow.
“Don’t worry about it, sweetheart. Like I said, I’m perfectly fine calling dibs… at least for now.”
Niji left the spot between your knees to swim to the ledge beside you. He pulled himself up to sit, leaving the water in his wake feeling cold. You turned to him, water still dripping down strands of your hair.
“You can’t just throw me in a pool and expect to buy me, Niji. I’m still pissed at you.”
“Yeah, but now you have an excuse to change into whatever evening outfit you had planned.”
You opened your mouth to respond, but for what felt like the umpteenth time that night, you found your voice stalled in your throat as Niji laughed. You did have a nice outfit planned. You always did. You pouted as Niji rose from the pool, dribbling water from his soaked clothes. He offered you a hand, which you reluctantly took.
“You’re gonna have to work hard as hell to make it up to me. I haven’t agreed to any relationship nonsense!”
Niji heaved you up with more force than necessary, catching you as you stumbled over the ledge and onto dry land. Your momentum worked against you, and in what seemed like an instant, Niji planted a kiss right on your lips. He held you for a moment, just long enough for the shock to sink in, before he pulled away with a grin.
Your mind went blank; the apparent look on your face made Niji laugh again.
“C’mon, baby, let’s get changed.” Niji’s arm snaked around you as he guided you back to the house. “Call it a trial run.”
Thank you to all who liked, reblogged, followed, and supported. Your support means so much and is greatly appreciated.

Logically, you know that healing — if that’s what you could call what you were trying to do — isn’t linear. You’ve heard it a thousand times, and on some level, you know it’s true. Knowing it doesn’t stop the shame you feel when you start skipping the train, opting instead to walk, or on shittier days, run to work.
At first you thought you’d been able to escape the anxiety that came with eating anything you didn’t know the exact calorie count of, that you’d been able to eat Carmy’s spaghetti without complication. In retrospect, it had merely been delayed, the calm and warmth afforded to you by Carmy’s presence wearing off as soon as you’d gotten into bed that night; you’d laid awake for another hour, paralyzed by your own panic.
The only solution you found fit was to force yourself into physical activity, making your travel to and from work ten times more miserable, waking up an hour and a half earlier than usual just to get to the restaurant on time and still have ten minutes to freshen up and change into your uniform. You at least managed to make the change in your routine go unnoticed, still looking presentable once it was time to open for service, or at least you thought so.
“Did you run here?” Sydney asks one morning, spotting you right as you clocked in and rushed to your locker to pull out your uniform.
“Uh, yeah, I did.” You’re a little too breathless to come up with an excuse, to properly deflect her concern and surprise.
“Okay…” She watches as you shove your other belongings into the locker space haphazardly. “Does that, like, happen often, or-“
“No,” You say, too quickly, shaking your head. “Just, uh, don’t tell Carmy?”
You look up at her, eyes pleading, hoping she accepts this one request without question, hoping she can disregard something just this one time.
“Tell Carmy what?” Hearing your boss’s voice makes you jump in shock, as he comes around the corner and spots you, hair messy and sweat still dripping down your temple.
Your skill for being unnoticeable is escaping you, that much is clear. You’re essentially caught red-handed, a deer in headlights, eyes bouncing between Sydney and Carmy as you struggle to come up with something, anything to respond with. But Sydney swoops in just seconds after you freeze, granting you mercy, this one time.
“Tell you to mind your own business, chef,” She says, her tone light-hearted so that you know to force out a laugh, and Carmy takes it. He gives a half-smile and shakes his head, heading over to his prep station and as soon as he’s out of sight, you look back at Sydney.
“Thank you,” You whisper as you head for the bathroom, uniform in hand, and she nods, still looking concerned but thankfully, dropping it.
Carmy’s the one who won’t drop it. It stays on his mind all day, even after you’ve changed clothes and fixed your hair and erased any trace of the mess you looked that morning; every free moment he has, he spends thinking of you.
He wants to believe that you’d simply missed your train. An innocent, easy mistake. But the way you avoid meeting his eyes during service hours, no matter how many times he tries to get your attention, or get you to just look at him and confirm that you’re okay, tells him it’s more than that.
He rushes through closing duties that night, just to make sure he’s good to leave before you finish closing up the front with Richie. He waits, sits in his office chair pretending to be busy until he sees you heading for the lockers, ready to clock out, and then moves to lean as casually as possible against the doorway.
“You want a ride home?” He asks, interrupting you as you pull clothes out from the locker; the clothes you were wearing this morning, he realizes, a sweatshirt and biker shorts. Like you expect to break a sweat on the way home, too.
“Nope. Thank you, chef, I’m good.” You barely even look over at him as you say it, and Carmy has to stop himself from making a face, making his displeasure visible.
“I really don’t mind,” He tries again, but you just close your locker door and shake your head, ready — and desperate — to change out of your uniform in the bathroom before it’s time to lock up. You put on what you hope is an easy smile, but it comes off tense.
“I’m okay, Carm, really. It’s not like it’s raining-“
“Chef,” He interrupts you, suddenly stern. “C’mon.”
He nods his head motioning for you to follow him, and it’s clear from his tone that there will be no room to argue.
You trail behind him while he locks up, and on the way out to his car, you can feel that frustration building up inside you again. The same resentment and irritation you felt in the hospital, when he wouldn’t take your bullshit excuses in the same way that nurse or your other coworkers would, it rises and rises till you’re gripping your backpack strap a little too tight and shutting the car door a little too hard.
You’re grateful, at the very least, that he says nothing when tears start to spill out and down your face as he drives you home.
You sit in silence for a minute when Carmy pulls into your building’s parking lot. You can’t bring yourself to leave at first, part of you still craving to savor his presence for as long as you can, even if the other part of you is too angry to even look at him.
“You wanna talk?” He asks quietly.
“Nope.” His question is enough to set you off, pushing the car door open and furiously wiping away your tears as you haul yourself out.
Logically, Carmy knows it might be best to leave you alone for tonight. Let you calm down and attempt reconciliation tomorrow morning. Knowing it doesn’t stop the feeling that he can’t just leave you alone, and let you walk away upset.
“Hey,” He calls out, opening his own door and moving to follow you. “C’mon-“
“Fuck you, Carmen.” You spit out.
He’s undeterred, even if you don’t turn back to face him once, refusing to acknowledge him tailing you the entire way up to your apartment.
You don’t tell him to leave you alone, to stop following you, to fuck off. You don’t even slam your front door in his face like he half-expects you to. Instead it hangs open as you storm into your living room, a silent invitation. An invitation Carmy doesn’t hesitate to accept, stepping through your door and carefully closing it behind him.
He’s still wracking his brain on what to say, clueless on how to stop the tears flowing down your face as you toss your backpack down and meekly lower yourself to sit on the floor between your couch and the coffee table, knees pulled into your chest.
“Will you just fuckin’ talk to me?” He finds himself pleading with you again after a minute, but his helplessness in the face of your distress makes his words come out callous, and you just scoff.
“Don’t be a dickhead, Carmy.”
“I’m a dickhead? I-I’m the dickhead, for giving a fuck?” You lift your head to glare at him, and you can see that he wants to match your anger; all the tell-tale signs of an upcoming screaming match appearing in his features, scrunching up his face as he repeats your words back to you, and you know you’re not being fair. You promised him you’d let him in, allow him to help stop you from going off the deep end again, and yet you’re the one resisting him. You wish he’d let the frustration on his face overtake him, walk out your door and leave you alone with your mind.
He doesn’t, no matter how much you will him to. His eyes meet your own, filled with misplaced ire, and all he does is lean his head back and sigh, running a hand over his face and forcing himself to curtail the urge to give in to your bait.
“You don’t wanna talk, I’ll talk,” He starts tentatively, before saying maybe the last thing you’d expect: “I’m sorry.”
Your narrowed eyes widen, the contempt in them turning to pure shock, but he barely notices.
“I didn’t mean to- if I went too far, the other day, with the spaghetti. I didn’t mean to set you off like that. I’m sorry.” The absolute sincerity in his voice as he apologizes for something you know isn’t on him — it’s too much.
You’d love to pass the blame off on somebody else. If you could find a single other person to hold accountable for causing the near-constant state of discomfort that you’ve been stuck in for weeks, the distress of living in your own body, you think you’d jump at the chance. But you can’t bring yourself to do it to the one person who’s offered to take the fault away from you, because even now, after you’ve lashed out at him, he’s deliberately gentle with you.
You can see Carmy is ready to move towards your front door, you’ve sat here for too long without giving him a response, weeping silently. And maybe that would be the right thing to do after breaking your promise, letting him worry over you till he thinks he’s the one who owes you an apology. But selfishly, you reach up and grasp his arm before he can even turn to leave, gently tugging him down to sit with you, and he lets you.
“I’m sorry,” You start once he’s settled next to you, your voice still thick with tears. “I know what we talked about in the hospital. I haven’t been- I fucked all that up, I know, I’m sorry.” He’s shaking his head, looking like he wants to refute you, but you continue on.
“I just… I’m so fucking scared,” You nearly choke on your words, but it’s a relief to get them out, and suddenly you can’t stop the rest from spilling from your mouth. “I’m scared of getting better. I can’t stand the thought of it, I don’t even- I don’t know what I’d be for, if I wasn’t like this all the time. And it’s fucking embarrassing. That’s all I feel, all the time, just- constant fear, and shame. I can’t fucking stop myself.”
You take a pause, doing your best to breathe deep and avoid Carmy’s intent gaze, so you don’t lose your nerve.
“We were good, for a bit, and I wasn’t so… out of control. But then I fucked it, and I-I couldn’t just, tell you. Felt like, for once there was someone who understood, and I just wanted to keep the rest of it out of sight, I guess.”
It’s the most you’ve expressed to anyone about this. You think maybe you’ve gone too far, that maybe now you’ll have alienated the one person you’ve been honest with in years. But when you finally look up at Carmy, he’s nodding thoughtfully, no trace of judgment or pity in his expression.
“I don’t.” He says carefully. “I don’t really understand. I-I don’t think I could, uh-” He pauses, clasping one hand over the other tightly, like it pains him to force his words out, too. “I guess, growin’ up, food was basically a love language. It was how I bonded with Mikey, it’s why I wanted to do this job in the first place. So, to avoid food… I don’t think I can imagine what that’s like.”
All you can do is nod. You shouldn’t have made him listen to you vent your emotions, you should’ve let him walk out your door-
“But, I’d like to try. If that’s what you want.” He says, interrupting your spiral. “I just need to know you’re safe. Shutting me out like this – it’s bullshit. I’m not gonna just- stop caring. Even if it’s ugly. Just don’t shut me out.”
His earnestness practically shoots you in the chest, filling you with that warm, familiar feeling that usually comes with his presence. You want to push against it, you haven’t earned it back, it’s too damn much.
“Even if I… end up in the hospital again?” You say, trying to keep your tone light, but you can’t keep the pleading out of your voice.
“I’d drive you to the hospital a hundred times.” Carmy replies, completely genuine, and now you can’t push back against the urge to throw your arms around him, burying your face in his chest.
You don’t know how long you sit there, on the hard floors of your living room, arms tight around each other, breathing together. All you know is that you don’t want him to leave; he makes no move to go.

The D-Files
Summary: Something weird happens when Dieter tries to post his X-Files fanfiction Word Count: 14,941 Pairing: Dieter Bravo x Fox Mulder x Dana Scully Rating: 18+ mdni Warnings: threesome, oral (m & f receiving), vaginal fingering, unprotected PIV, rimming, d/s undertones, poor explanation of time travel and quantum physics, it's a little cracky tbh Beta: the one and only @for-a-longlongtime obviously A/N: listen. I have ten episodes left of the whole series so if something is totally off and not accurate to x files canon just ignore me :) Also I'm absolutely aware of how completely ridiculous this fic is but I heard the voice of Dieter Bravo speak to me and could not ignore it Ao3 link
Curled up under at least three blankets, in just his underwear, stoned out of his mind (just weed— he’s California sober now) Dieter watches Mulder and Scully shake hands for the first time.
The first time for them.
He’s had to have seen this episode at least a thousand times by now.
He’s in one of those funks again. His therapist calls it a depressive episode, but that’s so dramatic. He’s just a little bit down in the dumps thinking about how worthless he is and how no one’s ever really loved him before, not even his own parents, and how he hates himself so much he’s not sure if he would ever get rid of the guilt of letting someone else love him because he knows he’d just be a waste of their time.
It’s no big deal. Nothing an X-Files rewatch, weed, and a footlong Subway sandwich can’t fix.
Except this time, the way Scully and Mulder instantly mesh so well kind of makes him feel like he smoked too much pot. His stomach’s a little queasy as he watches him give her his undivided attention, and fuck, maybe this is a job above these FBI agents’ pay grade.
He eyes that stupid notebook on his nightstand, still wrapped in plastic from the Amazon order.
His therapist told him to start writing his thoughts down in a journal. He doesn’t like writing. It’s not what he does. He can’t stand those actors who think just because they’ve starred in a few movies means they should start writing them, or scrawling down some convoluted, conceited novel. Just fucking act, y’know?
But as Scully throws herself into Mulder’s arms after knowing him for only a few days, and they both look so comfortable, Dieter rips open the packaging and swallows down the bile threatening his esophagus.
—
I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be doing here. What should I even write down in this thing? How lonely I am? Get in line, right? I’m not the only one. Even though sometimes it feels like I am.
Maybe it feels so bad because I know I did this to myself. Everyone always told me I’d always be a piece of shit. Even when I was young. And I just let their narrative take over and now here I am. The biggest piece of shit.
It’s like Mulder. Everyone always called him Spooky and said he was too ‘out there’ and he ended up in the basement chasing Bigfoot.
Except I don’t have a hot redhead in my life to balance me out or slowly fall in love with me.
And I’m not a tall, boyishly handsome, charming FBI agent.
I’m just a washed-up actor, and a slob, and a drug addict. That’s probably why.
Golly gee, doc, this sure made me feel better.
—
He writes in his journal a bit here and there. He also slowly rots away in his bed, takes far too little showers and far too many THC gummies. He talks to his therapist two weeks later and tells her he’s been writing down his thoughts and her impressed hum and “That’s very good, Dieter” has him riding a high the rest of the afternoon.
So he keeps it up.
He doesn’t leave the house much, and when he does, he just wants to get back into his permanently affixed blanket fort to watch more X-Files and get high.
He writes a little about his day, about what he’s mulling over in his mind. But as he reaches the end of season two, he’s out of his funk enough to start feeling horny again.
Who wouldn’t, watching the world’s hottest FBI agents on a near constant loop?
So who can blame him when his journal thoughts get a little spicy?
—
God, Mulder’s such an idiot sometimes. So is Scully. They waste so much time getting on each others’ nerves. This entire show is just years-long foreplay. I swear they get off on irritating each other.
I irritate so many people, why aren’t any of them ever turned on about it?
They should have just let them kiss in the first season. There could have been so much sex. All the motel rooms these two wasted! On the government’s dime, too!
Rental car sex, alleyway sex, OFFICE sex. The Sex Files. That’s what this show should have been.
I wonder if Mulder’s better at eating ass or pussy. I just know he’s freaky with all the porn and phone sex hotlines. And the auto erotic asphyxiation thing, can’t forget about that. I’d choke the shit out of him if he wanted that. With my hand or my cock, his choice.
I wonder if Scully is freaky, too? I think she’d deny it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if she was filthy kinky. She always has to be in control. I wonder if she’d be like that in bed, too? I wonder if she’d get off on torturing me and making me beg. Or maybe she’s always so in control that she wants to relinquish all of it when she’s in bed.
—
Dieter remembers that fanfiction exists shortly after that.
His dick is raw and he hasn’t even made it through half of the explicit entries on archive of our own. But everything’s so… Vanilla.
Don’t get him wrong, he’s a total sucker for tender, missionary love-making. But where’s the experimentation? Where’s the creativity? And why the hell does everyone think Fox Mulder is such a dom?
Just look at him.
He’s pathetic. Scully could have him begging on his knees with nothing but the snap of her finger and one of her sexy, stern glances. Maybe he’s projecting a little bit, but not much.
He gripes to his therapist about this while he avoids the topic of his greatest fear being dying without ever having a meaningful relationship in his whole life.
“Have you ever thought about writing your own fanfiction?”
And no, he truly never has. It seems like something so far away from appropriate given his profession. But then again, when has he ever been totally professional?
So he starts writing. At first he finds himself falling into the popular tropes— love confessions and sweet, romantic first times. Just little blurbs in his journal he ends up scrawling out with his pen. There’s enough of that already. He needs to explore the fun stuff with these two.
One night/early morning, he finally grabs his laptop from his rarely-used office. He snuggles up under all the blankets he can find, turns on The X-Files, and gets down to business.
—
“I’m sorry Scully—”
“Don’t.”
Her icy blue stare pins Mulder in place. His pouty lips close and his sharp jaw clenches as he looks down at his feet.
“You almost got us killed!”
“I wouldn’t have let you get hurt, you know that.”
Scully doesn’t know what comes over her, but she crosses what little distance is between them to grab the back of Mulder’s hair and tug.
His jaw drops and as hard as he tries, he can’t stifle the whimper that slips from his lip.
“You were reckless with your own life. You can’t— Do you know what I would do if anything ever happened to you?”
Scully’s sharp gaze softens. Tears prickle at Mulder’s eyes, partly from Scully’s death grip and partly because of the way her voice wavers.
“Scully—”
“Get on your knees.”
——
Dieter fights the heavy, sharp arousal in his gut as he writes Mulder on his knees for Scully. He just knows he’d eat pussy like a champ, what with those sunflower seeds he’s always got between those pillowy lips. He’d be great at sucking cock, too. Dieter thinks they would look so fucking pretty around his own dick.
Or Scully’s strap.
Perfect.
He stays awake for way too long, writing about Scully trapping Mulder between her thighs for hours, and then making him choke or her strap, and then making him beg and whimper and cry for it as she teases his prostate with her fingers.
Scully’s so dainty, but the idea of her fucking into her big, tall partner with fury has Dieter leaking into his boxers as he types away. It takes all of Dieter’s willpower to write the sweet aftercare scene. Scully gently cleans up his cum and sweat and tears, telling him what a good boy he was as she pets his hair and kisses his face.
As soon as Dieter writes the last words, he’s fumbling for his lube and dildo in the bedside drawer. He’s too worked up to prepare properly, and it burns, and he hears Scully’s disappointed tuts in his head as he fucks himself into a mess.
He whines her name, and Mulder’s name, as filthy images of the two fill his head.
He comes without even touching his dick. He makes an absolute mess of his sheets and just grinds into the puddle beneath him as he fucks himself through the aftershocks.
And if he cries a little bit at the thought of two beautiful FBI agents telling him how good he was as they stroke his sweaty skin, that’s between him and his open laptop.
—
“Do you think I should post my fanfiction?”
His therapist’s perfectly shaped eyebrows perk up.
“Do you think you should post it?”
“I dunno. Probably not.”
“Why not?”
“Wouldn’t it be a little weird? An actor writing fanfiction about characters his peers portrayed?”
His therapist hums. He knows that’s his cue to keep talking, but they just sit in silence for a bit.
“Do you want to post it?” She asks.
He huffs.
“I don’t know. What if everyone hates it?”
She shrugs and nods at him to continue.
“I’m afraid no one’s gonna read it. Or if they do, they’ll hate it. And leave mean comments.”
“Would that bother you?”
“Well yeah, duh.”
She hums again. Dieter rolls his eyes, half at her but half at himself.
“I know, I know,” he sighs, “I’m a walking contradiction. I crave praise but I’m too afraid to put myself out there to receive any.”
“That’s not necessarily true. You’re an actor. It’s your job to put yourself out there and be consumed and reviewed.”
“Yeah but that’s not me, it’s just the guy they tell me to play.”
His therapist smiles.
Shit.
“I think you know what you need to do, Dieter.”
He does leave that therapy session crying, thirty minutes later. If he had a tail, it would be between his legs.
It takes him six days to work up enough courage to even make an account. And then another two days to pour over every single word he wrote, change it, change it back, wash rinse and repeat.
When he finally works up the nerve to post it, his laptop dies just as he’s about to press the publish button.
You gotta be kidding me, he thinks, maybe this is a sign.
But then he thinks about what his therapist would say, that things that are worth it rarely come easy, and that he should probably stop assuming everything is a sign, and so he plugs his laptop in and waits for it to charge enough to come back to life.
It’s the longest four minutes of his life.
He stares at the black screen in silence. He blinks at his reflection as he listens to the storm brewing outside his window, only flinching slightly as lightning illuminates his dark room.
His heart leaps up into his throat when the screen lights up again. Everything’s right where he left it. All he has to do is press that little button.
He takes one, two, three deep breaths with his finger on the trigger and then—
CRACK
—
Everything hurts. Like, bad.
Dieter groans and tries to blink his eyes open. It’s bright. He’s no stranger to waking up in an unfamiliar place with a terrible headache and no recollection of how or why he’s there. However, he hasn’t touched a party drug in a year and a half, and hasn’t even been to a party for even longer than that.
He finally blinks away the sleep in his eyes. He’s on the cold ground. The grass is plush and dewy under him. When he sits up, the world spins around him for a few moments and he just barely keeps his stomach from emptying.
He checks his pockets. At least he has his phone on him. No wallet, though. And he’s in his pajamas, which is fine, not unusual attire for most of his outings.
He goes to unlock his phone but of course it’s dead.
Shit.
He looks around a bit more and all this scenery does not look like Los Angeles. There are hills in the distance that are much more rolling than the jagged peaks in California. The smell of campfire fills the air and it’s humid, he realizes. Stiflingly so.
He stands up. His joints ache even more than they usually do, stiff and popping. When he runs his hand through his hair he’s got wicked bed head.
At least he can make out a dirt path amongst the grass and trees around him. He follows it for a while, and just as he thinks he might be wandering to his own death out in the boonies he sees a little shack in the clearing just by what seems to be a lake.
It looks… Strangely familiar, despite the fact that he’s certain he’s never been here before. There’s a sign that reads “Bait & Tackle” that’s seen better days and a big giant inflatable… something tied down to the roof.
He scratches his head as he stares. He has the feeling of something being on the tip of his tongue, but it’s on the tip of his brain instead.
As he approaches, a high-pitched growl startles him out of his daze. His eyes frantically search for the source, and as he walks closer he spots it.
A tiny little yappy Pomeranian, tan and fluffy.
It hits him all at once.
He gasps and moves toward the fiesty little thing as his heart pounds. There’s no way…
It snarls and yaps at him as he crouches down to greet it— him.
Once he starts giving the dog butt pats and head scratches, it warms up to him pretty quickly. He searches for the dog tag hiding under all that fur and gasps as he reads it.
QUEEQUEG
“Oh my god, Queequeg, I thought I’d never see you again, buddy.”
The pup wags his tail at the sound of his name and Dieter goes down on his knees to accept him into his lap.
“How are you real? What’s happening?”
Tears well at Dieter’s eyes as he holds this fictional dog in his arms, who’s been dead since season 3. Sue him, he’s very confused and vulnerable and it was the most devastating death of the series by far.
As he pets the derpy little thing, he tries to wrap his head around everything that’s going on. Last he remembers, he was holding his breath and clicking the mouse pad and now he’s here, in the middle of nowhere Georgia if he remembers his X-Files trivia correctly.
Which means this sweet little pup is going to die in this… episode? And if he’s in the episode, that means—
“Hey! What are you doing? That’s my dog!”
Dieter’s heart pounds, heavy and fast, like he’s done way too much coke. He looks up with wide eyes and it’s unmistakable, her bright red hair and sexy scowl and the lanky handsome man attached to her hip.
“Scully?”
Dieter watches her face twist up in confusion, and watches Mulder’s eyebrows raise with a smirk on his face as he looks between him and his partner.
“You know this guy, Scully?”
She squints at Dieter as they walk closer. He feels very warm under her gaze. He pets Queequeg’s head for comfort.
“No, I don’t. What’s your name?”
Dieter clears his throat.
“You don’t recognize me?”
Mulder presses his lips together, trying to hide his amused smile as he nudges Scully’s side.
“Should I?”
“Wait… what year is it?”
Scully’s face turns from annoyed to concerned. She kneels down in front of Dieter and looks into his eyes, and her gaze is too heavy, it spears right through him.
“It’s 1995. Are you concussed?”
“No, I don’t think so. I mean— Maybe. Probably, to be honest. It’s 1995?”
“Has been for five months, now,” Mulder supplies.
Dieter nods.
“Do you know where you are?”
“I think so… listen. You guys aren’t gonna believe this— well, Mulder might believe it— But I’m from the future.”
Scully’s concerned gaze turns right back to annoyed very quickly, and she stands back up to cross her arms.
Mulder just chuckles.
“How do you know our names?” He asks.
Dieter feels a little weird on the ground while they’re staring down at him, in a horny way, so he gently places Queequeg back on the gravel to stand up himself.
“Would you believe it if I said I’m from an alternate reality where you guys are the main characters in a cult classic sci-fi television series?”
Mulder blinks at him. Dieter shrugs with a sheepish grin.
“Honestly? That’s more believable than the time travel.”
Dieter smirks.
“That’s such a Scully thing to say.”
“That is such a Scully thing to say,” Mulder agrees.
“Oh my god.”
“I can prove it! I swear. C’mon, let’s get this little guy safe and sound in your cabin and I’ll prove everything.”
Mulder shrugs, and gives Scully one of his looks, the c’mon, let’s see where this goes look that Dieter’s so used to seeing.
She just scoffs.
“Mulder, we don’t have time for this. People are dying left and right, you’re on a wild sea-monster chase, and half the town is—”
“Wait, Scully, look at this guy. He’s going to tell you another body’s been found in the lake. Well— half of a body.”
They all turn to the man running up from the docks, and sure enough, it plays out almost exactly how Dieter remembers from the episode. Scully’s very focused on the legs floating in the lake, but Mulder keeps eyeing him in a way that makes him wish he was wearing something more than just flimsy pajama pants.
“Scully…” Mulder mumbles as they walk back toward their car, “I think we should hear him out.”
“Hear him out!? We should be shoving him in handcuffs, he’s the only suspect we have that isn’t mythical.”
“I’d be into that, actually,” Dieter says, holding his hands out toward them, wrists pressed together.
Scully grimaces and Mulder smirks but he drapes an arm around her shoulder in a way that seems suspiciously protective.
“There’s not enough evidence to cuff him, but we can at least keep him close and see what else we can get out of him.”
“Mulder—”
“If anything, he can just dogsit for us.”
The way they’re talking about him like he’s not even there makes the tips of his ears burn.
“I’d love to dogsit! I miss Queequeg.”
“What do you mean you miss him? He’s right here.”
Dieter winces.
“Actually that’s a big plot point in this episode,” Dieter whispers.
They stop at the car and Scully glares at him, and Mulder looks a little bit like he’s just brought a stray dog home without her permission. Dieter kinda likes it.
“You never told us your name,” Scully grills.
“Dieter. Dieter Bravo.”
Mulder huffs.
“What kind of name is Dieter Bravo? Do you do adult films?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know, Fox?”
The way the giggle bubbles up out of Scully’s chest makes him preen.
“Alright. Where do you live, Dieter?”
He winces and scratches the back of his neck.
“Los Angeles.”
“Oh brother,” Scully grumbles.
“How did you get here then?”
“Y’know, it’s the weirdest thing. I was writing a fanfiction about the two of you and when I went to post it, I think lightning struck my house and sent me here.”
The two agents stare at him in silence for so long that Dieter has the time to question every single moment that has led up to this. He determines that this is all his therapist’s fault when Mulder finally clears his throat.
“You can bunk with me until we get everything sorted out, alright?”
Dieter straightens up and salutes him.
“Yes, sir, Agent Mulder.”
Scully rolls her eyes and turns to open the car door for him, but Mulder smirks.
“I think I kinda like this guy, Scully.”
——
Mulder’s nice enough to let him shower and lend him spare clothes that aren’t caked in mud and grass stains, once they’re back at the cabin. He cleans up in silence trying to wrap his head around this entire pickle he’s in, and how to go about making them believe him.
He’s got his work cut out with Scully, he knows this. But he works over every bit of information he can remember from each season, each episode, to remember something that couldn’t be denied.
They’re doing their Scully and Mulder thing when he comes out with damp hair and Mulder’s clothes on. (He definitely had to will away a half-chub at the thought of being wrapped in his things.)
They sit around the small living room with photos and paperwork all sprawled out and Dieter feels like geeking out a little bit. This is like the world’s greatest and most interactive X-Files museum.
“Okay. I’m going to try to do this in the best way I know how. Just— Bear with me.”
They sit back in their seats, and Dieter lifts Queequeg onto his lap to take his place on the couch. He waits for them to give him a go-ahead, but neither of them are responsive. He tries not to feel so aroused by their focused gazes. Maybe he should have jerked off in the shower, as a precaution.
“Okay then… let’s see… this is Season 3, Episode… 22? So. You guys just went through the whole Skinner thing, right? With his— his bad dreams lady killing that prostitute?”
“How do you know Skinner?”
“I told you, it’s a TV show. Skinner’s always busting your balls. Big tough assistant director business. He’s actually just a softy though, I think.”
Scully looks disinterested and a little annoyed, but Mulder’s starting to shift forward in his seat.
“What’s the show called?”
“The X-Files.”
Scully snorts.
“How creative.”
“Okay, okay, I know. It sounds whacky. But I’ve seen the show a billion times over, I’ve been unknowingly preparing for this moment since the pilot aired.”
He takes a moment to determine what to say and how to word it before he continues.
“Okay… Well… Your first case together was that weird kid in Oregon that kept helping aliens abduct his classmates. Scully conveniently missed the UFO though. Ever the skeptic. Then… let’s see… Deep Throat turns up in the next episode. Scully, he ended up dying in your arms and his last words were trust no one.”
“Mulder, we’ve been bugged for 90 percent of the time we’ve known each other, this doesn’t mean anything.”
Dieter huffs and Mulder shrugs.
“Keep going. Give us a deep cut, man. You gotta try harder than that.”
“When did you become the skeptic, Mulder?”
The agent shrugs and raises his eyebrows to urge him to continue.
“Okay… Scully, when you were at your god son’s birthday party, you told your friend that Mulder is a jerk.”
“Hey, what the hell, Scully?”
“No, I said he was just—”
“Obsessed with his work, yeah. After you called him a jerk though.”
Dieter hates to see the way Mulder’s eyebrows draw up in the middle. It’s kind of funny to see Scully so embarrassed, though. He figures he’ll keep what else she said to himself, about him being cute, because it looks like she’s praying that he doesn’t blab about it.
“You wound me, Scully.”
Oh, yeah, and there’s the time you shot Mulder in the shoulder.”
“You’re kind of a bully, y’know?”
Scully shoves at his shoulder to prove their point, and Mulder just laughs and leans into it.
“Do you want to know what happens in the future? Wait, if I affect the future will the show be different? I dunno how I feel about that… new X-Files episodes in 2024 would be incredible. But what if the new episodes suck, though?”
“2024? That’s what year you’re going with?”
Dieter nods.
“It kinda sucks. We have smartphones and streaming services and stuff but also, you wouldn’t believe who the last president was if I told you. Also there was a global pandemic. Still kinda is one, but everyone’s just ignoring it. Actually, come to think of it, you guys would thrive in 2024.”
“Do we die before then?”
“Oh, no, no, the show just finished. And then came back and then— it’s a whole thing. But neither of you die.”
“Hmm.”
Mulder hums, and Dieter knows exactly what he’s thinking. Scully too, by the faraway look on her face. Total idiots. Why couldn’t he have landed at least after the first kiss. Or even the almost-kiss?
“Well, I’m tired, and this case isn’t going to solve itself. And Queequeg needs to go potty, so, I think we’re done here.”
Dieter’s whole body feels hot, like the time he was stabbed in the chest with that epi-pen. He shoots up off the couch so fast that Queequeg yelps and hops down to cower behind Scully’s ankles.
“Wait! It’s an alligator. Literally. It’s just an ordinary alligator killing these people. And if you let Queequeg walk into the woods he’s going to get eaten and if there’s one single thing you believe me about it has to be this, okay? For Queequeg’s sake.”
Dieter’s got his hands clasped in front of him, pleading. Scully looks startled and Mulder looks awed, but he’s desperate to drive this point home.
“…Okay. I’ll keep him close. Thank you.”
They think he’s crazy. Scully does, at least. Mulder’s just quiet, uncharacteristically so.
“Thank you.”
“Alright,” she sighs, grabbing Queequeg’s leash and hooking him up, “goodnight guys.”
“Goodnight Scully.”
Dieter sighs and sits back down.
“She thinks I’m insane, doesn’t she?”
“Welcome to the club.”
Dieter chuckles and looks to Mulder. He’s still got that pensive look on his face. It suits him, all brooding with that fucking jawline and those plush lips and sad eyes. He wants to kiss him so bad. He almost says it out loud, so used to his horny musings while watching this guy on TV that his filter is a little out of whack.
Dieter doesn’t even realize he’s staring until Mulder tilts his head at him, confused. He opens his mouth and takes a breath but the door ripping open cuts him off.
“Mulder, there’s something in the woods; Dieter was right. I think we should check it out.”
Mulder jumps up at her beck and call and seeing it in person is even more overwhelming, how he follows her without question and trusts her, so eagerly.
“Queequeg?”
“He’s here, can you watch him?”
Dieter nods.
“Me? Yeah, yes ma’am, Agent Scully.”
He doesn’t miss the amused look on her face just before the door slams shut behind them.
He lies on the couch with Queequeg on his chest, enjoying the silence after the… everythingness of his day. He really wishes he could smoke some pot, but even if he could get his hands on some, he’s sure it would be weak as hell. And there’s the FBI agent thing.
Dieter’s not sure how long he’s been staring at nothing and snuggling Queequeg when the cabin door finally opens again.
“Did you catch the alligator?”
The eerie silence he’s met with makes him whip his head around. Scully and Mulder are staring at him. He’s pretty sure 80 percent of his X-Files fantasies have started exactly like this.
“… We did. We caught it just in time to save Ted Bertram.”
“That’s the guy with the lake monster feet, right?”
They both nod slowly.
Queequeg hops down from his perch on Dieter’s chest, so he sits up.
“I told you. You guys believe me now?”
He watches as Mulder nods his head yes and Scully shakes her head no. All he can do is shrug and start wondering what’s next for him, in the year of 1995.
“Hey, do you guys need an assistant? I could tell you how to solve the next case! I think it’s the one with the mind control cable. Mulder, are you really red-green color blind? I think that was a major plot hole. How do you tell the difference between human blood and alien blood if one is red and one is green, then?”
“Mulder’s not colorblind,” Scully says.
“Uhh… Actually, yeah. I am.”
“What? How did you pass the color vision test?”
“I’m colorblind, not an idiot. I can still tell them apart, they just look different to me than they would to you.”
“I— I can’t believe you’ve been colorblind this entire time.”
Mulder shrugs. Then his brow quirks up.
“Why does that matter?”
“I’m not sure I should tell you. It might mess with the space-time continuum and— quantum physics, you know?”
Scully’s clearly had enough. She sighs and finally kicks off her shoes.
“I’m grabbing a shower and clearing my head,” she says, “don’t— don’t let him out of your sight for now, Mulder.”
Mulder nods and half smiles at her. They both look pretty tired. He wants to remind them that he’s the one who traveled 29 years into the past today, but it seems like a pretty sore subject.
They stand still and silent in the living room until Scully closes her bedroom door behind her, Queequeg in tow.
“You heard the woman. There’s a TV in my room.”
Mulder nods toward the other bedroom door and Dieter follows dutifully.
“Does it get the good channels?”
He hears Mulder chuckle and watches from behind as he sheds his jacket. He admires all those lean muscles in his back, now that he’s not wearing one of those god awful baggy suits. Maybe he should suggest a tailor, he thinks, and wonders if the later seasons would be filled with more eye candy if he did.
“You know about that?”
“All the video tapes that aren’t yours? And the hotline lady that leaves messages on your answering machine? Yeah. You wouldn’t believe what porn is like in thirty years. You’re gonna love it.”
Dieter’s torn between looking away and staring shamelessly while Mulder unbuttons his fly. He settles for nonchalant, hoping his eyes don’t pop out of their sockets like a cartoon character when he notices the outline of Little Mulder. This is even better than the gray sweatpants in the Humbug episode.
“I was hoping to kick the habit in thirty years’ time, actually.”
Dieter shrugs and his staring contest with Mulder’s crotch ends abruptly as he slides into a pair of pajama pants. Which is weird, because usually Mulder sleeps in his underwear. Must be the fact that he’s sharing a cabin with Scully.
Mulder throws Dieter the remote and settles onto the bed. There’s no couch in here, not even a cuck chair, so Dieter settles next to him. His whole body burns. God, if 20-year-old Dieter could see himself now, he’d ruin the pants he was wearing.
The silence feels a little awkward, so he turns the TV on. Nineties TV is so simple. It’s easy to settle on a channel playing Invasion of the Body Snatchers and sink into the mattress under him.
It only takes a few moments before he realizes Mulder’s staring holes into the side of his face.
“What’s up?” Dieter asks.
There’s so little room between them it’s making Dieter’s entire body throb along with his pulse.
“You’re telling the truth.”
Dieter nods and tries to give him a reassuring smile. Mulder sighs and throws his head back onto the pillow. His eyes close and his brows furrow and his jaw does that sexy clenching thing again. It’s all Dieter can do to not bite at it and soothe the sting with his tongue.
“What happens to us?”
Dieter clears his throat.
“I mean— I know, you shouldn’t affect the future, yadda yadda. I just…”
Fuck it, Dieter thinks, if I’ve already solved the case way before the episode is supposed to end, I’ve thrown everything off anyway.
“You end up together.”
Mulder lets out a big, long breath. His face instantly relaxes. His hands flex by his sides and Dieter goes out on a big giant limb and grabs one of them.
Mulder starts at the touch, but lets it happen.
“When?”
“Way later than you should have shacked up, in my opinion.”
He grumbles.
“My opinion, too.”
“You should make a move, then. I’m pretty sure at this point she’s only waiting for you to make a move.”
“And how do you know that?”
“Oh, it’s a whole thing involving a shapeshifting guy with a tail. Trust me. She’s got it just as bad.”
They’re still holding hands. Mulder hasn’t moved a muscle. An idea so bright pops into Dieter’s head that he’s certain there’s a lightbulb floating above him.
“You know when you met Bambi on that cockroach case?”
Mulder nods.
“She was so jealous. Didn’t you pick up on that?”
“I— I thought so. But I also thought she was just annoyed with me, y’know, how she usually is.”
Dieter squeezes his hand.
“She was annoyed because she’s into you, dude. It was envy. Very, very clearly.”
He hums.
“So? What now? Do I apologize for something that happened months ago? You apparently know Scully as well as I do, how do you think that’ll blow over? ‘Hey, sorry I made you jealous because you have a big fat crush on me.’ She’d deck me.”
Dieter shakes his head.
“No, man. You need to make her jealous. So jealous she can’t deny why she’s upset with you.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, and I mean, why not just start right now, y’know? Get a head start on the whole thing. I mean, you’re here, I’m here, there’s only one bed…”
“If I didn’t know any better I’d think you were coming onto me.”
“I would love to come on you, actually.”
Mulder laughs, and Dieter deflates a little at the sound. But when he goes to pull his hand away, Mulder cinches it in his own.
“Dieter…”
“Mulder.”
“We’re doing this, then?”
Dieter nods like an overexcited puppy wagging its tail. Oh my god. Oh my god. Fox Mulder in his prime, how fucking lucky can one guy be?
Mulder glances at the door to make sure it’s open. The faint sound of running water can be heard from Scully’s room, and he thinks he smells her shampoo wafting out with the steam.
Like two nervous teenagers, they shift to face one another. Dieter brings their joined hands together on his own hip. Mulder’s palm is warm on his skin where his shirt rides high, and it makes Dieter’s breath hitch.
Slowly, Dieter urges him to keep his hand still with a squeeze before mirroring Mulder’s, creeping his hand under his shirt and feeling his solid, trim waist.
Mulder hums into his touch and Dieter realizes this man is possibly just as touch-starved as he is. He starts swirling circles into his skin with his thumb and inches forward, but those beautiful hazel eyes hold apprehension in their timid gaze.
“What if this blows up in my face?” Mulder whispers.
“It won’t. I guarantee it. I’ll make sure of it. Trust me?”
A soft grin tugs at Mulder’s lips and he nods, and it’s all the permission Dieter needs.
Christ, his lips are soft. Soft and plush and exactly how Dieter imagined only a million times better. He doesn’t think he’s ever felt this good, not on any drug, and they’re just kissing.
It’s chaste until he feels Mulder’s tongue prod at the seam of his lips and then it’s filthy. As soon as Dieter opens his mouth to him, Mulder takes it with a grunt. His blunt nails dig into the soft flesh at Dieter’s hip as he traces the arch of his bottom teeth. Dieter tries to keep up, but his brain constantly shorts out at the thought of who’s tongue is poking and prodding around in his mouth.
He’s a great fucking kisser. His tongue tickles the roof of Dieter’s mouth and it makes him shiver, makes his cock swell against his borrowed sweatpants, against Mulder.
He doesn’t seem deterred. Quite the opposite actually. He tugs Dieter by the hip and presses his own solid prick right up against Dieter’s, and they both groan into the sloppy kiss.
“It’s been quite a while,” Mulder says.
Dieter can’t tell if the huffed little laugh is directed toward the eager way he chases Mulder’s lips, or toward himself for being out of practice. He likes the thought of either.
“For me, too,” Dieter mumbles.
Mulder hums and rolls his hips. As their dicks press together and twitch, Dieter decides they are not naked enough by any means.
He presses his hand up, up, bringing Mulder’s shirt with it and grabbing a handful of his sturdy pec, admiring how stiff it feels under his palm when his lungs inflate. He gets with the program, and Dieter pulls his own shirt over his head, then promptly salivates over all the lean muscles and wiry hair and pale skin in front of him.
“Fuck,” he breathes.
It’s not until Mulder’s breath hitches does he realize he might actually be into this, not just their plan, but being here in bed with Dieter. His pretty hazel eyes are dark now, pupils blown out, and his chest is heaving, and the tent in his pajama pants is far too enticing to resist.
Dieter reaches down to cup him through the flannel material and Mulder gasps and falls flat onto his back. His eyes close and his jaw hangs open like an invitation. Dieter wiggles and shifts to press up against the length of his side and to finally press his face into the crook of his neck.
The hint of aftershave that’s been teasing him all day is now overwhelming his senses, sharp and spicy. Dieter is delighted to know that his skin tastes just as delicious as it smells, salty and heady under his tongue. Mulder’s prick throbs in his grasp and Dieter’s torn between wanting to tease him over his pants and feel the hot skin of his cock in his palm.
“Feels good,” Mulder whispers.
“Yeah?”
“Mmm.”
Dieter nips at his racing pulse first, then down to his jaw and the impressive five o’clock shadow he’s always been jealous and in awe of. The prickly hairs there tickle his tongue and lips, and he grinds into the outside of Mulder’s thigh for a bit of relief.
“You think about Scully doing this?”
The way Mulder’s dick jolts in his grasp is answer enough, but he speaks up anyway.
“Yes.”
The admission is so hot it makes Dieter’s brain spin. He himself has thought of it many times before, Scully torturing him with teasing touches, her little sharp canines digging into his flesh, but the thought of Mulder thinking of it too…
All those heated glances Dieter’s mulled over, he wonders how many of those were fueled by Mulder’s dirty thoughts about her. Wonders how many times he’s seen a flash of something in Mulder’s gaze and it’s been him fantasizing about getting Scully in bed.
Dieter huffs against the heated skin of Mulder’s neck before he pulls back. His head his thrown back, eyes squeezed shut, and he’s fucking gorgeous. He lightens his touch, teases the underside of his cock with one fingertip, and delights in the pleasure scrawled across Mulder’s face.
“How often?”
Mulder’s gravelly chuckle is cut off by a low groan when Dieter presses against his sac over his pajamas.
“All the time,” he confesses, “every time.”
“In the office?”
Mulder whimpers and nods his head.
“On the job, in the field?”
“God yes.”
Dieter hums, squeezes his balls to goad him into continuing.
“When she— when she’s so serious, it’s hot. She’s so smart, it turns me on.”
Dieter smirks. He completely sympathizes.
“You like it when she debunks you?”
Mulder whines and nods his head again. Dieter tries his hardest not to react to the sound of the water shutting off across the cabin, or Scully’s door creaking open. Instead, he shoves his hand down Mulder’s pants and hopes to god he keeps his eyes closed, hopes Scully’s ever present need to call out his name is tampered down when she inevitably hears him talking.
Mulder gasps and raises his hips into the circle of Dieter’s hand, and his brows furrow as he shuts his eyes even tighter.
“Why?”
Mulder moans.
“Because she— she balances me out. Makes me feel even. Whole.”
Dieter chuckles.
“Aww, does she complete you, Foxy?”
He scoffs but bites his lip when Dieter thumbs at his head and spreads his slick, sticky pre-cum all around.
“Tell me what you think about, Mulder.”
His breathing is so ragged that Dieter thinks he should maybe be concerned. But he can tell things are about to come to a head, can hear Scully’s little footsteps inching closer to their room, pointedly quiet.
“Her, I think about her body against mine. And touching her.”
As if on cue, fiery red hair peeks through the door frame. Dieter’s got his free hand up and a finger at his lips before Scully’s face can even twist up in concern and shock. He gives her a pleading look as she stands stock-still and wide-eyed.
“Where would you touch Scully, if she was here?”
“Everywhere. Anywhere she wants me to. I just wanna make her feel good.”
Dieter turns his head back to Mulder to confirm that his eyes are still closed. They are, positively scrunched shut as sweat threatens to penetrate his brows and slip into his eyes.
“Do you wanna taste her?”
Mulder’s breath hitches and his cock pulses and dribbles more against Dieter’s hand.
“Yes, yes, so bad. I think about it every time I— every time I touch myself.”
Dieter turns back to Scully. Her hair is damp and her silky pajama top is unbuttoned more than it was just a moment ago. It just barely hides her heaving chest and he has a hard time not giving her away when he realizes his plan is working. Her lips are parted and wet, like she’s licked them, and god he really fucking hopes they don’t kick him out once this all comes to a head.
“You do?”
“Mm-hmm,” Mulder nods, “I could spend the rest of my life down there and die happy.”
Dieter chuckles then, and Mulder does too, but he opens his eyes. It takes him just a second to blink and adjust but, ever the vigilant one, his eyes jolt toward the now closed bedroom door and Scully standing in front of it. His body goes stiff and still, aside from his prick, which twitches wildly in Dieter’s grasp.
Mulder’s voice cracks amusingly around Scully’s name. She crosses her arms and lifts one of her perfectly shaped eyebrows as she shuffles to the foot of the bed.
“Boys.”
Dieter smiles sheepishly at her. Mulder’s staring and gaping like a fish out of water, all tense now, one elbow on the bed so he can prop himself up. Dieter doesn’t miss the way Scully’s eyes trace over his naked torso or the activity going on at the front of Mulder’s pajamas.
“Is it true, Mulder?”
He’s nodding his head before she can even finish the question.
“Yeah, Scully. I—”
He cuts himself off when Dieter squeezes and strokes him, and Scully’s gaze is locked on the movement.
“It certainly feels like the truth,” Dieter supplies.
Mulder whimpers under him and Dieter swears he sees Scully’s ears perk up at the sound, like some kind of predator.
“Mulder, c’mere.”
God, the way he follows so readily, like he always does, it warms Dieter’s heart just as much as it makes his dick throb. He kneels on the edge of the bed right in front of her. His cock is protruding obscenely out in front of him, but Scully doesn’t seem to care about that.
No, she’s focused on his face instead where it’s settled gently between her dainty hands. God, the way they look at each other is so fucking intoxicating. Dieter’s bound by it, physically stuck on the mattress as he watches.
Her brows furrow slightly as she looks at him, but Mulder’s face is slack, almost dazed as he meets her eyes.
“What did he tell you, Mulder?”
Mulder shifts awkwardly from knee to knee. His mouth opens and closes a few times, and she giggles under her breath.
“You’re not in trouble.”
Dieter laughs, and god, it’s so fucking weird. It’s like he’s watching a director’s cut.
Mulder sighs, though.
“We end up together, Scully. You and me. And I— I believe it. I believed it long before this guy showed up, and it… Out of everything I believe, everything I’ve been working toward… it might be the only belief I have that keeps me going.”
Scully’s gaze grows soft as his confession, and Dieter refrains from squealing in delight at how sweet Mulder sounds and how Mulder it all is.
“Why now, then?”
Mulder huffs and tries to turn away, but she keeps his face tight in her grasp. His cheeks are so pink.
“Just worked up the guts, I guess.”
Dieter doesn’t miss the quick flicker of Scully’s eyes down to his lips. His fingers twitch with the urge to smash their faces together.
She sighs and brushes some errant strands of hair from Mulder’s forehead.
“Well,” she says, and her voice wavers with a heavy breath, “I’m glad one of us did.”
Mulder visibly melts. His shoulders slump and he leans forward into her touch. His face loses all of that tension from earlier, and his lips look loose when Scully’s own finally brushes against them.
He’s so gentle with her, in a way he definitely wasn’t with Dieter. His hands are nearly hovering over her with how lightly he places them on her waist. His lips stay slack and still as he lets her control the kiss. The only thing giving him away is the comical bobbing of his prick disrupting the front of his pajamas, and there’s no way Dieter can blame him for that.
One of Scully’s hands tangles in Mulder’s hair and produces a beautiful, high pitched sound that Dieter and Scully both react to.
She pulls away. Mulder chases her lips, but her grip on his hair tightens. He curses under his breath with a face more flushed than Dieter’s ever seen on him.
Her eyes flicker over to Dieter and he feels like a deer in headlights. Why is he still here? Is this weird, is he being a creep for staying?
“C’mere,” she mumbles, tipping her head to urge him to kneel right beside Mulder on the bed.
He does, of course he does. He wants to be good for her, for them.
He kneels, shoulder to shoulder with the man panting beside him. He grasps his hands behind his back and waits patiently as she looks the both of them over.
“What did I walk in on, Dieter?”
The way his name sounds coming from her low, rasping voice makes his spine tingle.
“It was my idea, Agent Scully. I was trying to make you jealous. I’m sorry.”
She clicks her tongue and the noise makes his cock throb.
“And you went along with this plan?”
She looks back to Mulder and Dieter shivers. He instantly misses the warmth of her gaze.
“I— yeah. I did... It worked, didn’t it?”
Scully’s eyes narrow, and Dieter can’t tell if Mulder’s an idiot or a genius for riling her up. He should have known Fox Mulder would be a brat. He thinks if he plays his cards right, maybe Scully will forget the whole plot and he can be her good boy while Mulder gets punished for his smart mouth.
A whimper falling from Mulder’s parted lips knocks him out of his daze and he notices Scully’s grip all tight in his floppy hair.
Fuck, he wishes that were him. Maybe he should mouth off too, maybe then he’ll get the attention that he craves.
“Get on your knees, Mulder.”
“I am on my knees.”
Dieter gasps as Scully tugs on his hair and leaves him no choice but to scramble off of the edge of the bed, lest she rip all that perfectly coiffed hair out of his head. His shoulders rise and fall with baited breath when he’s finally sunken his knees on the gaudy rug on the hardwood floors. Dieter whimpers and no one’s even touching him.
“You too, time bandit.”
Dieter gets whiplash with how quickly he gets on his knees for her. He breathes out a labored ‘yes ma’am’ and Mulder throws him a look of disbelief. He shrugs, what can I say?
They’re both rock hard for her, on the floor, staring up at her. She looks like an angel, or the devil, or maybe like God herself. Her breathing is suspiciously calm compared to their own, even though her nipples create tantalizing nubs at the front of her silk pajamas.
“Keep your eyes forward, both of you.”
Dieter nods at her commanding voice. He wants to look to Mulder for— direction? Comfort? Some kind of trauma bonding? But he doesn’t. He wants to be good.
He hears Scully behind them, bed creaking under her weight, sheets ruffling underneath her. There’s a pregnant pause where all of their heavy breathing can be heard and the anticipation is so much Dieter might explode on the spot.
“Strip.”
Twin breaths release from both Dieter and Mulder and he swears he hears her giggle behind them. He’s quick to comply, tugging at the drawstring of Mulder’s sweats he’s borrowed and awkwardly shuffling them off while he tries to stay kneeling.
He notices Mulder still motionless beside him.
“Scully…”
Idiot, Dieter thinks.
“Good boy, Dieter, doing exactly what I say.”
He can’t help the satisfied smirk that twists his lips up, or the way the back of his neck burns at the praise. In his peripheral, Mulder hastily shucks his pajama pants.
He has a pretty cock. Dieter knew he would. Everything else about him is pretty. It’s long and lean, just like he is, and the upward curve of it makes him jealous. It’s going to feel so good for Scully, if she lets him fuck her.
There’s more shuffling behind them, and he flinches when a pair of satin pajama pants land on the floor in front of both of them. He has to dig his nails into his thighs to resist the urge to turn around. Something nudges his arm. He doesn’t dare move his head, but from the corner of his eye he sees a pale, smooth leg and his breath catches in his chest.
He hears Mulder curse under his breath and can nearly feel the tension in him vibrating out energy into this rickety old cabin. Dieter feels a gentle hand in the short curls at the back of his neck just a moment later, her nails scraping his scalp just right, and his leg may just start shaking like a dog’s.
“You want to taste me, Mulder?”
“Fuck yes, Scully, please.”
She hums. Her hand in Dieter’s hair stills.
“Go on, then.”
A lightning flash of movement stirs beside him, but Dieter keeps dutifully still. He’s twitching in anticipation but he doesn’t dare turn to look.
Scully sighs, all breathy and high-pitched, and Dieter’s never heard a more beautiful sound. Then Mulder whimpers, and it’s muffled by Scully’s thighs, and there’s a wet smacking noise and Dieter thinks this obscene music could be a platinum album.
Scully gasps, and Mulder groans, and Dieter aches. He can smell her, a sharp and tangy scent of arousal underneath the flowery soap and shampoo. Her hand is still in his hair and it hasn’t moved since Mulder got down to business and he feels forgotten about but in the best way.
“Dieter, honey, you can watch.”
He breathes out with relief and shifts to get a good look of the action. She’s perfect, gorgeous, breathtaking. Her silky pajama top hangs open on her pointy shoulders and her perky breasts rise and fall with her breathing. Her nipples are a brownish pink that stand erect in a way that makes his mouth water like a leaky faucet.
Her toned, porcelain legs spread wide enough to accommodate Mulder’s shoulders. The man is greedy, and Dieter can’t see a thing aside from the triangle of copper curls on her mound. He wants to nuzzle them so bad, he wants to feel them tickle his nose, smell the arousal that catches there.
“You taste so good.”
Mulder’s words are squished against her center. Dieter whimpers at the thought of her flavor. Her hand soothes through his hair. He wants to touch his cock so badly, but Scully hasn’t told him that he’s allowed. Instead, he balls his hands into fists and bites his lip.
Scully moans, and Dieter watches her face fall slack with pleasure.
“Feels good, just like that.”
Dieter can’t help the sounds that eke out of him, desperate and a little pained. He’s so hard that he’s lightheaded, but Scully’s firm grip on his hair grounds him just enough.
“Don’t be selfish, Mulder.”
He makes a questioning noise between her legs. He looks up at her with wide eyes, mouth open, tongue out and flat against her slit.
“Give him a taste.”
“Oh fuck, please.”
Dieter can see the reluctance in Mulder’s motions, like he’s struggling to break free from her orbit. He looks so fucking hot, absolutely wrecked. His plush lips are red and shiny and his chin is dripping and his pupils completely usurp his irises. Drunk, drugged off of Scully.
He leans away from Dieter to make room between her legs but she tugs his hair. Then she tugs Dieter’s hair, and their noses are bumping together before either man can put two and two together.
He can smell her on his breath. It’s so intoxicating that he loses any crumb of decorum he may have had left. He licks a broad swipe from Mulder’s chin to his Cupid’s bow and groans at all the slick he’s able to lap up.
Mulder’s mouth opens up to him, and he chases the taste of her off of his tongue, his teeth, his gums, anywhere. They’re both panting into each other's mouths, exchanging breath. Dieter feels a big, strong hand on his jaw and neck, and the contrast to Scully’s smaller, gentler touch has him leaking all over the rug underneath him. He feels like he’s drowning, and he just wants to go even deeper, like even death won’t be enough.
He waits for Scully to say anything about Mulder touching him. When she doesn’t, he takes it as permission to reach up and find purchase in his hair. His fingers tingle when they find Scully’s still there, and his whole body shudders and twitches when she links her fingers with his.
“You want more?”
It’s depraved, the way they both pull away from the kiss so fast. Dieter’s nodding and looking toward her, her glistening cunt, her smooth skin and her mischievous gaze.
“Please, Scully,” Mulder mumbles.
His head lolls back against Scully’s thigh so he can look up at her. He looks like he’s just run a marathon, the way sweat is beading at his forehead and his chest is heaving.
“Yes, please, Agent Scully.”
She chuckles. The sound is torture and it’s bliss. She ruffles Dieter’s hair and he hums and leans into it. Mulder whimpers at the lack of attention, so she ruffles his too.
And then she spreads her thighs even wider, like, gymnast levels of flexibility, and both of their eyes are drawn to the way her lips spread open in invitation, puffy red, her clit all swollen while she drips onto the old comforter under her.
“Think you can share?”
Dieter curses. Mulder whimpers against her thigh.
“Play nice, boys.”
Mulder looks at him with a heated gaze that makes him a little bit scared but really really horny.
“Yes ma’am,” Dieter says, but he’s staring at Mulder.
Be good, he’s trying to tell him through telepathy, we’ll get rewarded if you’re just good.
Mulder glances up at her, bats his pretty little eyes, and licks his slick lips.
“Yes ma’am.”
It sounds more teasing than anything, but Dieter doesn’t miss the way she squirms when Mulder says it. He just has that effect, doesn’t he? Such a charming little shit.
He and Dieter look at each other, assessing, when Mulder finally goes low. It’s a little bit awkward, at first. Dieter’s jaw prods at Mulder’s sharp cheekbone as they find a good position.
He traces around her clit with a pointed tongue, delicately, so eager to work her up. He can hear Mulder’s tongue fucking in and out of her, a wet cacophony of sounds that make his ears ring. So much so that he nearly doesn’t catch the sounds of Scully’s breath hitching, her soft little mewls as her hips cant up into their faces.
He’s hyper focused on her pleasure, so lost in it that he doesn’t even recognize how turned on he is until a heavy, warm hand wraps around his cock and he nearly blows his load. His tongue presses broadly against Scully’s clit when he groans. She curses and her hand tightens in his hair and it’s so much.
He reaches out for anything, really, but Mulder’s cock is there, hard and proud and twitching when he wraps his hand around him. He finds solace in the fact that he’s leaking just as much as Dieter is, sticky and slick all the way down the underside of his shaft. His noises get breathier, and his tongue seeks higher ground just as Dieter’s travels lower. They lap at her folds together, briefly, trapping them between their tongues, trading their tastes as she whines above them. Dieter doesn’t even realize his free hand has grasped Scully’s slender hip until she squirms against it.
All of a sudden, Dieter feels her go stiff under his grasp. Her hand tightens in his hair just shy of enough to make him lose it. She lets out stuttered little sounds and Mulder hums below him.
“You like that, Scully?”
“Oh my god, Mulder.”
He groans and shifts and she begs and Dieter’s aroused haze clears enough to make him realize that he’s eating her ass.
He makes a pained sound himself and sucks Scully’s throbbing clit into his mouth. She shakes, and her stiff body loosens just enough for her to roll her hips into them.
“Don’t— don’t stop, I’m so close. I’m gonna come.”
Neither of them would dream of stopping, not for anything. Dieter works his tongue in pulses against her clit as he suckles, and he feels Mulder slip a finger in between them just as she cries out, loud, and falls apart against their tongues.
Dieter drinks up the way her clit jerks and pulses between his lips. He drinks up her gasps and breathy noises. He drinks up the way Mulder’s cock mirrors his own, twitching with pure arousal at the way she’s coming just for them.
They’re both humming satisfied sounds as they work her through it. Their hands on each other’s cocks have stilled completely, just a loose grasp as they coax every last bit of pleasure out of her until she’s lax and shying away from them.
Dieter pulls away first. He watches with a sticky feeling in his chest at the way Mulder kisses her holes gently, and the skin around them, nuzzling between her thighs so tenderly. Both his hands free, now, Mulder soothes them up the outside of her thighs as they tremble in her aftershocks.
Mulder’s babbling, Dieter realizes, once the ringing in his ears finally subsides. Just under his breath, a chant, over and over.
“So perfect, Scully, thank you, thank you, Jesus Christ, Scully…”
Dieter settles back on his heels to keep gazing at them. Scully’s hands both pet through his hair as he leaves wet kisses that make her pale thighs glisten in the dim cabin lighting. He’s panting harder than she is, and his prick dribbles and twitches, and he looks up at her through misty eyes.
“Oh, Mulder,” she sighs.
She bends down at the same time he arches up and their lips meet in a kiss so blindingly passionate that Dieter debates whether or not he should look away. Only for a split second though. Because Scully moans into his mouth and licks herself out of it and Dieter grabs his throbbing dick at the base to chill himself out.
Mulder’s fingers run through her damp hair so gently, but his jaw works and his mouth takes from her in stark contrast. They look so goddamn good together, it’s insane. He’s torn between holding off to see how this plays out, or coming all over himself in three strokes or less as he watches them together.
“Come up here, Mulder.”
Her voice is intoxicating, it sounds so fucked out and blissful. She shuffles up the bed some and Mulder chases her, always touching at some point, until she’s lying back and he’s covering her body with his own.
He dwarfs her. It’s cute, in the show, the way she’s always looking up at him with a craned neck. Now, it’s just filthy, how Mulder’s cock looks so fucking huge lying hard against her small frame. The way he has to scrunch himself up to kiss her so his prick doesn’t go anywhere it’s not supposed to, yet. The way her tiny feet rub up and down Mulder’s calves, only half their size.
The way his hand eclipses her face when he cradles it and pulls away. How his thumb sweeps so easily from her lips to her cheekbone as he sighs.
“Scully…”
She hums and closes her eyes and smiles, a sated and relieved grin that makes her look so serenely beautiful.
“I know, Mulder,” she sighs, “me too.”
Dieter huffs. Chris Carter himself couldn’t have created a more Mulder and Scully-esque love confession. It’s precious. He might cry.
Unfortunately, the sound makes them both look over. Scully’s all relaxed but Mulder’s hackles are all raised, like he’s been caught doing something he shouldn’t. Dieter slowly moves his hand away from his leaking cock and feels himself blush from his face down to his nipples.
He’s caught in their crosshairs, stuck, eerily still and silent. Should he offer to leave? He really doesn’t want to leave. Maybe he can just peek through the keyhole of the door and leave them to it.
“You too, Dieter,” Scully says, “get up here.”
Relief floods through him and makes his limbs all tingly. He’s nervous as he stands, gently making his way to the side of the bed and settling one knee on, then the other. Mulder shifts to the opposite side of Scully, their legs still tangled, as he watches Dieter with emotion he can’t quite put a name to.
Dieter practically purrs when he slides right into their space. His cock drags a sticky design onto Scully’s smooth thigh and he apologizes, but she just chuckles and gently scratches her nails along his scalp.
“Are you both going to be good for me?”
The tone of her voice makes them both shiver. Mulder huffs out a laugh but Dieter gasps as she tugs a little at his messy, sweaty curls.
“Yes ma’am, Agent Scully.”
Dieter’s voice completely betrays him. He’s so turned on. There’s so much blood pumping to his cock that there’s a real and serious threat of him passing out. He hides his face in her shoulder and tries to even out his breathing and not hump her leg like an unruly dog.
“I’ll be good for you, Scully.”
Mulder sounds a lot more in control. His deep, syrupy voice is just shy of even, only cracking on the second syllable of her name. Dieter feels the way she starts giggling before he hears it, her shoulders jostling with it.
“You’re going to play by the rules, Mulder?”
He chuckles and it sounds dark, and Dieter opens his eyes to watch him smirk that irresistible smirk.
“Hell, Scully, I’d write the rules over and over on the chalkboard to keep this going.”
She rolls her eyes at him, but she’s still grinning. His eyes flicker to her lips and there’s no hesitation this time when they kiss again. It’s tame and loose, until Scully wraps her dainty hand around his cock and he groans. Dieter matches his sound, and he just can’t help it, he rolls his hips into Scully’s thigh as he watches Mulder melt into a puddle against her. She bites at his plush bottom lip before she pulls back.
“Fuck me, then.”
“Jesus,” they both say in unison.
Scully bites her lip to keep in her giggles and it’s cute and debauched and insane. She’s insane. She’s going to kill them both, and Dieter’s going to return to his reality with 8 less seasons of The X-Files, and a season finale where Scully gets locked up for double homicide.
Mulder shuffles to straddle her. Dieter watches his heavy eyelids flutter and his jaw hang open and knows he likely looks the same. His cock twitches heavily where it hangs below him, and Scully teases the underside of it with her fingertips. He shivers, and so does Dieter, where he rocks his hips gently into Scully’s smooth skin.
“You’re sure, Scully?”
Dieter turns away and hides his heated face in the duvet. It’s too tender and raw and he doesn’t deserve to watch them love each other like this.
“Positive, Mulder.”
He hears them kissing, wet, smacking sounds that give Dieter goosebumps. And then a whimper, a huff, muffled into Scully’s mouth and he drags his face away from its hiding spot.
Mulder’s inching inside of her slowly, so slowly, with patience Dieter couldn’t even dream of. He cranes his neck to watch her take him, inch by inch. She looks so tight, and he bets she is, if the way Mulder’s eyes are squeezed shut is any indication.
Scully’s head tips back and breaks their kiss. Her eyes roll into the back of her head before she closes them. Her chest is heaving now with shallow breaths, her nipples taut and inviting.
“Oh my god,” she whispers.
Mulder’s hips stay flush once he’s all the way in and he pants too. It looks like it takes all the strength he has to just flutter his eyes open and look down at her. His brows furrow and he licks his lips and gasps.
“Scully,” he whines.
She smirks, and christ, Dieter knows she’s clenching around him like a menace. Poor Mulder. He’s got the restraint of a god, he thinks, Dieter wouldn’t have made it even halfway inside of her.
She soothes him by brushing the hair from his forehead, all damp with sweat. She does the same to Dieter and he hums as her fingertips massage his scalp.
Mulder pulls out just as slowly as he entered her. She‘s soaked. He can hear it so well in the stilted silence of the room. When he pushes back in, she sighs and tightens her fist in Dieter’s hair and he needs something. He rocks against her again, and again, and the steady friction makes him gasp.
Her hand slides down to the back of his neck and guides him to her breast. His cock throbs, deliciously trapped between his stomach and her silky skin. His tongue tests the waters, swirling around the pronounced peak of her nipple. When she sighs and arches into it, he takes it into his mouth and sucks.
The noises she’s making are perfect. High pitched, breathy, needy. She’s letting herself go to Dieter and Mulder and it’s gorgeous. He presses his cock against her even harder and closes his eyes and whines around the bud in his mouth.
Mulder’s starting to pick up the pace. Dieter can tell by the way her breast is jiggling just slightly under his mouth. And the sounds, god, the filthy slick sounds coming from her cunt. He’s leaking all over her just thinking about what it must feel like, how snugly Mulder must fit inside of her, how warm it is.
As if Mulder could read his mind, he gasps out and his hips stutter against her.
“It’s so good, Scully.”
Scully arches her back to grind down onto him and moans his name and tells him she needs more and Dieter bites down on her tender skin.
She jolts and tugs his hair and curses and he looks up at her as he soothes it with his tongue.
She’s the poster girl of pleasure. Her face is twisted with it, every beautiful feature dripping with tension. The length of her neck is so apparent with her head thrown back, and her skin is pink and looks hot to the touch. She begins to bounce when Mulder fucks her faster and harder. Dieter wants to do something, anything to make her feel good.
He replaces his mouth with his hand, squeezing her flesh and teasing her nipple with his fingertips. He trails kisses up her chest, little love bites and suction until he reaches just below her ear. Her pulse is fluttering rapidly under his tongue, and she keens just as she turns her head and presses their lips together.
They’re kissing. He’s kissing Scully. Oh god, her lips are so fucking soft against his. Her tongue ripples in his mouth and it tastes so good, minty with a hint of her arousal straight from Mulder’s lips. He whines and rolls his hips against her like he’s in heat, and he’s so close, and he wonders if she’d be mad if he came all over her warm, smooth, freshly showered skin.
She jolts against him, against them, and bites down on Dieter’s lip with an almost pained noise. She turns away from Dieter and they both look to Mulder, who’s circling her puffy clit with his thumb as he fucks her.
He’s looking to her for direction with a glazed expression. He looks like he’s hanging by a thread.
“Here,” she whispers, and takes two of her fingers into her own mouth.
Christ. The way her lips look wrapped around her two digits is sinful and debauched. Mulder must think the same, because he grabs her wrist and makes her stop.
Dieter holds his breath as he waits for his next move. Is he going to pin her arms to the bed? Is he going to stretch them over her head and make her squirm on his cock, make her beg?
It’s sweeter than that. Of course it is, with these two. Mulder brings her hand to his lips and kisses her palm, and then her knuckles. She sighs his name, and watches Mulder smile.
That soft, dopey smile gets an edge to it.
“Let me, please,” he whispers.
Dieter only gets the chance to be confused for half a second when he slips those two fingers into his own mouth.
Scully gasps and moans and wiggles against him. Fuck, it’s beautiful. Mulder’s full lips take her all the way to the last knuckle and he hollows his cheeks as he sucks them. Scully’s hips squirm and rock and the way she moves against him is a sight. Mulder groans when Scully begins to thrust her fingers in and out, just a little, not enough to choke him but enough to make him close his eyes and sigh and start slowly fucking her again.
They leave his mouth all wet and shiny. Mulder’s tongue tries to follow them and it makes Scully huff out a weak laugh.
“You’re too good at that, Mulder.”
He hums, tries to hide his sheepish smile by ducking his head. But Scully grips his chin with her wet fingers to prevent it. His eyes struggle to focus on her, Dieter notices. He can’t blame him, it’s like staring into the sun.
“Why don’t you show off to your little time traveler, huh?”
He opens his mouth, but no words come out. His eyes dart nervously from Scully to Dieter.
“I— what?”
“Don’t be dense. Make him come. Make me come. You can multitask, can’t you?”
Dieter lies as still as the dead, afraid that if he moves maybe Mulder will snap out of this horny daze and tell him to get lost. He wouldn’t blame him one bit, either, but god he really wants to see this man’s lips wrapped around his cock.
Scully chuckles at Mulder’s frozen stature. Or maybe she’s chuckling at the way Dieter’s heartbeat is pulsing through his dick against her thigh, dribbling all over it.
“I bet you’re so good at it,” she continues to tease him, “with these pretty lips?”
Mulder huffs and squirms when she rubs the pads of her wet fingers against his mouth. His tongue peeks out to taste them, coax them back inside him, but she doesn’t let him.
“For me, Mulder?”
And Dieter can’t help but grin, because he’s never seen such a visceral loss of resolve so clearly before. Mulder closes his eyes and whines and nods his head.
Scully makes a satisfied little noise, and her free hand sneaks down to squeeze Dieter’s slick cock, and he has to bite his own lip really hard to keep from losing it before the fun even begins.
Then there’s some awkward repositioning and shuffling, mostly on his end. He kneels just above Scully’s head, and when he looks down she’s grinning like the Cheshire Cat from under his cock. He has to reach down to collect some of the pre-cum oozing out of him to keep it from dripping onto her gorgeous face, but she grabs his wrist and licks it from his fingers anyway.
And then there’s Mulder, who’s slowly thrusting in and out of his partner like it’s second-nature, like auto-pilot, as he surveys the scene in front of him.
“Mulder,” Scully mumbles.
The deep, breathy, commanding tone of her voice makes Dieter shiver.
“Yeah, Scully?”
“Make us come. Then you can.”
He groans, and his hips stutter then slam into her. Dieter’s torn between looking at the blissed-out look on Mulder’s face or the mischievous look in Scully’s eyes.
“Are you— are you sure?” Dieter asks.
Like an idiot, looking a gift horse in the mouth. But how can he not? They’re so perfect, so made for each other, and he’s just some weird fucking guy.
But then Mulder’s expression turns into something darker, determined, and he nods with glassy eyes.
“C’mon, McFly.”
And that’s all the encouragement Dieter needs, really. He widens his knees to line his cock up with those shiny, plush lips. Mulder gives Scully one last glance before he’s craning his neck forward and closing his eyes.
Scully and Dieter gasp at precisely the same time, just as Mulder’s tongue swipes at his frenulum. Dieter’s eyes lose focus as he watches Mulder open his mouth wider, then looks past to see Scully’s icy blue gaze fixated on everything going on above her. It’s like an erotic kaleidoscope, the way they’re all blending together in pleasure.
He suckles on Dieter’s head, a little too hard, but he thinks it might be on purpose. He hisses and grabs Mulder’s hair in one clammy, shaking hand. His tongue works the underside of his cock as he fits more into his mouth, and Scully was right, he is way too good at this.
Scully curses under them, and only then does Dieter notice she’s touching herself as Mulder keeps pumping into her with a shaky, stilted rhythm.
“So good, Mulder.”
His responding moan turns into a whimper as Dieter’s prick slides across the back of his tongue and hits his throat.
“Fuck, yeah, so good,” Dieter agrees.
It’s more than good. It’s incredible, unbelievable. He watches Mulder’s shiny, puffy lips wrapped around him, so in awe of how gorgeous he is. His pretty eyes are closed, half concentration and half bliss as he slides in and out of Scully’s dripping cunt.
It takes him a while to find a rhythm that works, but when he finds his groove he fucking finds it. Of course he’d be good at this, too. He fucks in and out of Scully once, twice, and then sinks his mouth down as far as he can on Dieter’s cock (all the fucking way— Jesus christ) and holds there while he pumps in and out of her some more.
And Dieter’s so, so torn. He wants to be good for Scully, wants to challenge Mulder for her and keep up the show. He wants to hang on so she can crumble as she watches her partner taking and receiving so perfectly at the same time.
But he wants to be good for Mulder too. He wants to come in his mouth and give him the satisfaction of satisfying. He wants to let Mulder prove to Scully how good he is, let him make them both come and writhe under his skill and rapt attention.
And it’s like Scully can sense it. With her free hand, she reaches up and cups his balls. It makes his fucking toes curl, makes him cry out her name and slam his eyes shut to stave it off. He’s being tagged teamed by the objects of some of his earliest sexual fantasies and it takes him biting his lip so hard he draws blood to keep it together.
He realizes the noises he’s making are borderline embarrassing. He’s mewling and gasping and whimpering as she squeezes and strokes, as her fingers meet Mulder’s lips every time he takes him deep. He’s shaking with the effort it takes to not fuck Mulder’s mouth. And he’s sweating, and he hopes to god it doesn’t start to trickle down and land on Scully’s blissed-out face.
And then it doesn’t much matter, because those dainty fingers and well-kept nails travel back, across his taint, and press.
“I can’t— I can’t, oh my god.”
Mulder hums around his cock in an echo of the noise Scully makes under him. He’s teetering on the edge, tensed up, out of his mind as Scully massages that spot and Mulder swirls his tongue around the head of his cock.
And in sync, like they always are, in a way that takes him completely off guard but should be absolutely predictable, they unravel him.
Mulder takes him down his throat and swallows, and the pad of one of Scully’s fingers taps his entrance, and he’s done.
He might scream, if he’s being honest. There was never any hope for a warning, the way they ganged up to play him like a fucking fiddle. Mulder groans as the first explosive spurt of Dieter’s cum shoots down his throat. He pulls back as Dieter continues to spill with each spasm of his muscles, as he tries but fails to suck Scully’s finger up inside him. He writhes and curses and clenches Mulder’s hair a little too tight as he works through his orgasm.
Mulder dutifully collects every last drop, extremely intent on keeping it from spilling down across Scully’s face. He is such a good boy for her. Mulder whimpers when she tells him so in her breathy, sexy way she does. His hips stutter inside of her just as Dieter slips from his swollen lips.
He doesn’t get reprieve yet, though. Mulder’s long, lean body arches up, and his arm reaches to grab a fist full of Dieter’s hair and tug and oh, god, he might just come again.
Their lips crash together, and before Dieter can think of how metallic the taste is, Mulder’s pushing his own load into his mouth forcefully. Dieter takes it all, sucks it down and swallows as he pants against Mulder’s mouth.
Then he thanks him, and he thanks Scully, over and over with baited breath until he collapses to the side of them, completely spent and overstimulated.
“You did so good,” he hears Scully say.
Only she’s not talking to him.
She’s got both her hands on Mulder’s face. Her lips just brushing against his own as she whispers. He watches her hike her legs up to wrap around Mulder’s waist, watches Mulder sag into her so he’s plastered against her front.
“Scully,” Mulder whines.
“Harder, Mulder. Make me come.”
He kisses her one last time before he buries his face in her neck and obeys, pulling nearly all the way out of her before driving back in. She’s really vocal now, now that she has Mulder’s undivided attention, now that he can focus on fucking her steadily and deep and fast.
Her head is thrown back and she looks so fucking beautiful. Mulder should be looking at her, shouldn’t miss a moment of the way she looks as he’s making her fall apart. But Dieter can’t blame him, or the concentrated, almost pained look he has on his face that’s just peeking out under her chin.
It’s crazy how she seems to be fucking him from under all his weight, but she’s doing exactly that. Her toned legs pull him into her, her hips arching to meet his, so frantic and hot. One of her hands is leaving red marks down his back and the other one is petting through his hair, scraping his scalp and pulling so many gorgeous noises from him.
Dieter couldn’t look away if he tried. His spent cock is twitching, trying it’s damndest to steal what little blood is left in his brain. He wants to help them along, maybe take Scully’s nipple into his mouth, but they’re both crushed under Mulder’s body in a way Dieter’s extremely jealous of. He could touch Mulder, could grab his pert little asscheek and squeeze. But he resigns to the sidelines instead, lets them share this intimate moment with only the intrusion of his eyes and heavy breathing.
It’s over pretty quickly, anyway. Mulder starts babbling again, a great fucking look on him, there where he’s hidden in the pale crook of her neck.
“Please, Scully. Come for me— I wanna make you come. I wanna be good, let me make you feel good.”
And she’s grinding her hips up as her back arches off the bed, no doubt catching her swollen clit on that enticing patch of wiry curls above his prick. She’s panting and gasping and then she’s shouting.
“Don’t stop, don’t stop, Mulder, oh my god! So good, good boy— I’m gonna come—”
And she does. Beautifully. She tenses up and then she shakes, convulsing under him, around him. She moans and mumbles through it, with her eyes shut tight and her cute little nose all scrunched and her mouth hanging open.
It’s so beautiful that she outshines Mulder. Dieter barely even catches his groans, the curses under his breath as his hips stutter and grind into her. They both ride it out for a while, it’s like it’s never going to end. They writhe against each other and Mulder’s panting into her mouth as she tries her best to kiss his open lips. Their rhythm takes forever to slow, and even longer to come to a stop.
It’s better than anything Dieter ever could have imagined. He’s already half hard again, just watching them be together, and that fact only makes him want to leave, disappear, let them play this out without some stranger in their bed.
But christ he wants to stay and watch just as bad.
Their eyes flutter open at the same time, and the smiles on their faces are as nauseating as they are precious. Scully looks like the cat that got the cream, and Mulder has the audacity to look sheepish.
“I uh—” Mulder’s voice cracks, and he clears his throat, “I didn’t pull out.”
Scully giggles.
“I noticed.”
He huffs, and she smooths his sweaty hair from his forehead.
“I’m on the pill.”
Mulder sighs.
“That’s— that’s good.”
Idiots, Dieter thinks. The situational irony is off the charts. His huff alerts them both, snaps them out of their little bubble to look over at him.
He opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes to mind. Scully gives him an amused little smirk and reaches over to pet his hair.
“You were so good,” she muses.
He shivers at her words and her fucked-out gaze.
Mulder shifts on top of her, and they both gasp a little noise when he slips out of her, but they’re both focused on him.
Mulder looks him up and down and for a moment he isn’t sure if he’s about to kick him out of bed or kiss him within an inch of his life.
He does neither, it turns out. Instead he holds the side of Dieter’s face in his big, sweaty palm and it’s so soothing that he closes his eyes and leans into it. His thumb strokes Dieter’s cheek while Scully plays with his hair and he could die happy here.
“Yeah man, thank you. That was good— you were good.”
Dieter’s eyes open wide at that. They’re both looking at him with fondness— appreciation. His chest swells with a heavy feeling just as his eyes begin to sting.
“Thank you,” he whispers.
He just barely catches the confused looks on their faces before he hides his own, rolling over into his stomach to let his pitiful tears fall into the blanket below him. Scully ruffles his hair with a sympathetic coo and Mulder pats him on the back of his heated neck before he hears rustling and feels the bed shift.
“Oh my god.”
Scully’s voice sounds horrified. For a quick moment, his tiny little pea brain thinks of Queequeg— is he alright, did he get out while they were occupied?
“What the hell?”
Mulder’s voice sounds much more amused.
Confused, Dieter wipes his wet eyes in what he hopes is an inconspicuous move before he looks over his shoulder at them.
Scully and Mulder are both standing at the foot of the bed, looking equal parts mortified and puzzled. And they’re staring at Dieter’s bare ass.
His bare ass that he now remembers is tattooed. Tattooed with Mulder and Scully’s face on each cheek, respectively.
“Oh, ha— yeah. Maybe that could have proved it faster?”
His face feels hot. Hes had these asscheek tattoos for so long he sometimes forgets about them. He was young and drunk and high when he got them, but they still hold up. Full color portraits of his favorite FBI agents.
“What do the words say?” Scully asks.
Mulder takes one for the team and leans in closer to Dieter’s ass, and he wonders if his blush goes all the way to his buttcheeks.
“Mine says the truth is out there, and yours says I want to believe.”
Dieter lets out a nervous chuckle and shifts, a little scrutinized, a little embarrassed, a little bit turned on at the way Mulder’s gaze settles over his body.
“When did you get these?”
“1998, right after the movie came out.”
“There’s a movie?”
“Two, actually.”
Scully shakes her head and looks from Mulder to Dieter’s butt, back and forth a few times.
“I’ll give you this one, Mulder. Only because there’s no lake monster for you to boast about.”
Mulder preens, a satisfied smirk settling on his handsome face.
“Finally,” he and Dieter say at the exact same time.
She rolls her eyes.
“Brag about it in the morning. I’m tired— and my bed’s clean,” she throws her voice over her shoulder as she leaves the room.
Dieter stays put. His ankles roll around in an attempt to hide his hesitation. He stares at the empty doorway and avoids Mulder’s lanky form.
“You coming, Doc Brown?”
He’d be stupid not to follow like an eager pup.
They all nestle into Scully’s bed. She’s in the middle, wrapped up in blankets, and the guys take either side of her. Dieter rests his head on her naked breast as she kisses Mulder goodnight, as Mulder’s fingers intertwine with his own over her smooth stomach. Their pillow talk lulls him to sleep and he goes to bed happy for the first time in years.
He wakes up alone, on his couch, in his own clothes, with his face smashed against his open laptop.
A dream. It must have all been a crazy, weed and hormone induced dream. Best dream he’s ever had. He sighs, scratches his head and takes in his surroundings.
Everything’s normal, exactly how he left it. Except, when he moves to his bedroom to mourn the loss of the day he never had, he sees a red and white trucker’s hat on his nightstand.

It’s been ten years.
Ten years ago, today, your mother and father married you off to a man old enough to be your grandfather. You had been 18 years old at the time and, for some reason, believed that your parents had your best interests at heart.
That belief was quickly shattered on the day of your wedding. When you begged your mother to not make you do this, and she smacked you and told you to grow up and stop being selfish.
That specific moment was the moment you lost all faith in people as a whole.
Although, you’re one of the lucky ones. Your husband has no interest in children or a family. He married you because you’re young and attractive. “The perfect trophy wife,” he calls you as he gives you a couple thousand credits to get your hair done and have your nails done.
All you have to do is wear make-up, plaster a pretty smile on your face, and ensure that everything everyone does in his house is done to perfection. And, you’ve managed it.
You’re more than capable of managing your husband’s ridiculous expectations. You do the hair thing, and the nail thing, and the make-up thing. You’ve gotten so good at faking a smile that the other wives you regularly interact with genuinely think you’re happy.
And your husband is happy with you. Happy enough that your weekly allowance is nearly three thousand credits.
The truth is you hate them. Every single one of them. If you could get away with killing all of them, you would do it and you wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep.
“Wife,” You set the delicate mug you’ve been nursing for the last fifteen minutes to turn in your chair and regard your husband. “You’ve been staring out the window for several minutes.”
And it’s weird, and you need to stop, goes unsaid.
“Apologies, husband.” You offer lightly, “I was thinking that I should ask the landscapers to change the garden for this season. The roses did atrociously last spring, and I won’t have it this year.”
There’s the sound of a newspaper rustling, “As you like, wife.” He doesn’t say anything for a moment, and you’re about to cast your gaze back out over the garden, when he speaks again, “The other Moffs are having a gathering tonight. Formal wear only.”
You sigh silently, “I will check my spring wardrobe for an appropriate dress.”
“Good. You know what I like.”
“I will also ensure that your dress uniform has been pressed.”
“Good.” The room falls silent again, and you fold your hands lightly around the mug, helpless rage threatening to strangle you.
If only there was a way for you to be free.
Ah, well. Castles in the sky.
Later that evening, you find yourself sitting at a small table with several of the other wives. Your husband had been pleased with your choice of a dress, long and form-fitting, and a pale shade of blue that you accentuated with matching make-up and nail polish.
All in all, you look amazing. But then, so do the other women here.
You’re half listening to the woman on your left, you can’t for the life of you remember her name, as she talks about her most recent shopping trip. You wonder if she’s as vapid as she acts, or if it’s an act to keep herself safe.
Maker knows you’ve once had a whole conversation about nail polish with another spouse since you’re supposed to be a brainless trophy wife. So maybe they think you’re vapid too.
You murmur a quiet excuse to the women who are supposed to be your friends and slip out of the banquet hall. If anyone asks, you’ll tell them you need to check your make-up. But no one is going to ask.
Because no one cares.
You’ve been completely alone in the world since you were 18 years old. And it’s not fair.
You take a moment to slip your heels off, and then you pad down the hall. Escape is impossible, you know this, but maybe you’ll find a library. Or a garden. Or someplace where you can just be yourself for a moment or two.
Stars, do you even know who you are anymore? Probably not.
You push open a thick wooden door and pause as you enter the room. The room is large and grandly decorated. With a massive bed in the center of the room, though this doesn’t look like any bedroom you’ve ever seen in your life.
For one thing, the room is lit with braziers filled with blue flame. For another, weapons are covering a table against the far wall. You step into the room, and there’s the oddest sensation of someone watching you.
“Ah. So this is the Grand Moff’s kink room.” You murmur as you pad across the room to peer at the weapons, “Gross.” You pick up a blade and examine it carefully, “Maybe this is why he’s not married. Every time someone sells their daughter to him, he kills them.”
You pause, scrunch up your nose, and set the blade back on the table. “Or, I’ve been watching too much reality tv.” You’re not paying the most attention, though, and the dagger drags across the tips of your fingers. Blood pools on your fingertips, and then drops to the stone floor.
“Fuck,” You hiss, the familiar curse feeling unfamiliar on your lips after so long not using it. You stick your fingers in your mouth, to try and stop the bleeding.
It’s then that you notice that the feeling in the room has changed.
You turn to look at the room properly, your brow furrowed. You watch as the flames grow higher and higher, and you watch as the stone carving on the floor, which you hadn’t noticed until that moment, bursts into flames so bright that you have to throw your arm in front of your eyes to shield them.
You’re still blinking the spots out of your eyes when a warm hand presses against your cheek.
The man standing in front of you is not any of the Moffs in the building. He’s younger, with darker skin and curly hair. He’s also a lot more fit than most of the men you’ve interacted with over the last decade.
He’s also completely naked.
Your face flames and you immediately focus your gaze on the ceiling. Ironically, despite being married for ten years, you’ve never seen a naked man before.
The man releases a low chuckle, and you shiver at the sound, “There’s no need to be shy,” His gentle touch encourages you to bring your gaze back to him, “There you are.”
“I…who are you?” You ask, “I’ve never seen you before.”
He smiles, it’s a nice smile, “My name is Jango. I’m here because you summoned me.”
“...I did what now?”
His smile widens, “You summoned me. You’re the only person in the room, after all.”
“I…have so many questions.”
“I bet you do.” He drags his fingers down your bare arm, and then takes your hand in his. He glances at the rings on your fingers, and clicks his tongue, before removing both rings and tossing them into a brazier, “Married?”
“Unfortunately.” You’re still staring at him, “My parents sold me to my husband when I was 18.”
He hums in understanding, “Ask your questions.” Jango is still lazily touching you, his fingers trailing down your arms, and across the satiny material of your dress, before gliding up your bare back and across the back of your neck and down your throat.
“You said I summoned you?”
“You did. Not intentionally, perhaps, but you still did it.”
“Okay,” His fingers glide across your lips, “What does that mean?”
“It means you’re my priestess. You serve me, and I protect you.”
“Serve you how?”
He chuckles and moves even closer to you, and you should probably be nervous. Right? But you feel comfortable. Safe, even. It’s been a long time since you felt safe anywhere, let alone in the presence of a man.
“You can feel it, can’t you?” Jango’s voice is low.
And he’s right. You can feel something. A connection towards the man standing before you. You can feel his devotion to you, and it kind of makes you want to cry.
Jango’s fingers find the zipper on the back of your dress and he slowly pulls it down. You don’t stop him. You don’t even consider stopping him. His gaze remains locked on your face as he pushes the dress off your shoulders, “Tell me to stop,” He murmurs, “And I will.”
“I’ve never—”
“I know.” His lips glide across your cheek and down your jaw as your dress pools at your feet, “I’ll teach you.” Jango takes your heels from your hands and drops them on the floor, and then he guides you to the bed, “It’s better this way,” He murmurs as his lips move to hover over yours, “I don’t have to unteach you shame.”
Jango’s lips catch yours in a passionate kiss, and you eagerly surge into his touch. You feel cherished. Loved, even. You’ll give Jango anything, so long as he continues to make you feel like this.
He turns the both of you, so he’s able to sit on the edge of the bed, and he positions you so you’re standing between his spread legs. A glance at his cock reveals that he’s already hard, and there’s precum leaking down the side of his length.
You have the ridiculous notion that you want to taste him. Though the words seem to stick in your throat. You don’t even know how to ask if you’re allowed to.
Jango smoothly removes your panties and bra, both can be classified as lingerie, though he’s the only person who isn’t you, or the laundry staff, who’s ever seen them.
You jolt in surprise when his fingers dip between your thighs and find your clit with ease. “It’s okay,” He murmurs, “I’m going to make you feel amazing,” Jango kisses around one nipple, and then moves to the other, and you’re pretty sure he’s driving you insane.
“J-Jango, I don’t—”
He watches you calmly, his thumb moving in slow circles around your clit, “Tell me, priestess.”
“I don’t know what to do.” You whisper, helplessly.
He laughs softly, though you know instinctively that he’s not laughing at you, “I’ll teach you. Don’t worry.”
His thumb continues its slow and steady movement, and you find yourself clenching around nothing. For a moment, you worry that your legs are going to give out, but Jango seems to be attuned to you, because the next thing you know, you’re straddling his lap.
Slowly he eases you down his cock, a heavenly groan escaping his lips as he settles you completely on him. You feel full, so full. And you can’t help but wrap your arms around his neck and press your face against his shoulder.
“There we go,” he murmurs as he strokes your back and lightly thrusts up into you. How he’s managing that with you sitting on him, you’re not sure, but you’re also pretty sure you’ll figure it out, “Such a good girl,” Jango praises.
His words send lightning down your spine, and you release a quiet moan as you clench around him.
He pauses and then his arms tighten around you, “Taking me so good,” Jango continues praising, “Like you were made for me. So good.”
You whine quietly, “Jango—”
He chuckles and grips your hips tightly so he’s able to bounce you on his cock, “I’m going to take such good care of you, Princess.” Jango breathes, his voice heavy against your ear, “You’re never going to go without.”
He feels so good, you didn’t know it was possible to feel this good. You clench around him tightly and accidentally drag your nails down his back, pulling a pleased groan from him.
“There we go, cyar’ika. Mark me as yours,” One of his hands slides up your back to fist in your perfectly curled hair, pulling you back so he’s able to crash his lips against yours.
Jango’s tongue slides against your lips, and then presses passed your lips to map out the inside of your mouth, and you immediately submit to him, your arms tightening around him.
He breaks the kiss, though he keeps his lips just over yours, “Tell me, beautiful.” Jango’s hand dips between you and presses roughly against your clit, pulling a strangle moan from you, “What do you want?”
You hear him, but you’re not able to answer. There’s a coil tightening inside you and you’re so close. So very close that, when Jango stops thrusting into you and stops pressing against your clit, you almost sob.
“Shh, shh,” He kisses you slowly, gently, “I’m going to give you what you need, I promise.” Jango presses his forehead against yours, “What do you want?” He repeats.
You know, instinctively, that he’s not talking about sex.
“I…I want,” You whisper, a whimper falling from you as he starts to slowly thrust into you, “I want them all to burn.” It’s the first time you’ve ever admitted it out loud, but Jango looks pleased with your wish.
He starts thrusting harder and faster, his lips closing over yours in a deep kiss that seems designed to steal the breath from your lungs, and with a press of his thumb against your clit, you clench around him and cum with a muffled whimper.
Jango’s pace becomes a little harder and a little faster, as he chases his release, then there’s warmth as he spills his seed deep inside you. He flips the pair of you so that you’re lying on the bed, and then he pulls out of you.
You’re breathing heavily, and you’re trying to reengage your brain, but you seem to be struggling with it a little bit. You watch Jango watch you, his gaze locked on your pussy, a hungry look on his handsome face.
And then his gaze meets yours again, “Stay here,” It is both an order and a request, “I’m not done with you yet.”
You blink at him, “Where are you going?”
The smile he directs at you is vicious, “You have a wish, and I’m going to fulfill it.” He leans over you and brushes some hair out of your face, “You want them to burn, so they’re going to burn.”
Your breath catches in your throat, “You don’t have to—”
“My beautiful priestess,” He kisses you again, “I am the God of Vengence. I’m happy to do it.” Jango presses one more kiss against your lips, and then he turns to the door. “I’ll be back in a bit.”
Then Jango is gone, and you stare at the closed door for a moment wondering if, when he comes back, he’ll let you suck his cock. That’s a good reward for killing the people you hate the most, right?

hi idk if u take requests, but if u do could u write a Din x Reader where the reader gets really sunburnt and she doesn’t want to be a burden to Din so she doesn’t tell him, and then when he finds out he helps her treat it? I’d love if they admitted their feelings for each other in the end..
Din Djarin x Female!Reader
Warning: injury, mentions of blood and pain, self doubt and anxiety
Word Count: 1,890
a/n: i changed 'sunburnt' to a different injury and i hope that's okay. i only did that b/c if i wrote the reader as sunburnt i'd have to describe her skin color, and i like to keep my drabbles as inclusive as possible. hope you don't mind!
.
COMMON MISTAKE
"Pylades: I'll take care of you.
Orestes: It's rotten work.
Pylades: Not to me. Not if it's you."
.
Din told you to be careful. Actually, his exact words were, ‘Stop playing with your karking knife’. You, in all your excellent brilliance, had mouthed off a passive acknowledgement before continuing to play with your vibroblade. Although, ‘play’ was a strong word. You just wanted to get good at spinning it in your hand. Before you left Mandalore, you had seen Paz do it and since then you were determined to master that skill.
So, the summary was, Din told you to be careful, you had not been careful, and now you were bleeding. A lot. Dank farrik. In your defense, he had warned you that you were gonna cut your hand, and that was not what happened. You had tripped going up the ramp and accidentally skewered your thigh. Which, when worded that way, was ten thousand times worse. It was a good thing you hadn’t hit an artery because you would’ve bled to death before calling Din to let him know you were dying from an injury born of your own stupidity.
“This is fine. I’m fine. No problem.” You mumbled to yourself as you wrapped your thigh with some padded gauze. You refused to use bacta on this. The thought of wasting the expensive and important medication on this injury only added guilt to your shame. “Everything is okay.” It looked good now all covered up and out of sight. Your pants were absolutely ruined with a hole in the thigh and blood that stained the entire length of your left leg, but it was fine. “I’m fine.”
If you repeated the word ‘fine’ enough times then it was bound to come true. Science.
You pushed off the cot to stand and nearly crumpled under the weight. Pain, hot and unbearable, rocketed from your hip down to your toes. Your entire left leg was angry and screaming at you. With a sharp breath, you forced yourself to walk and get a new pair of pants. Your communicator chirped a message that Din was on his way back with Grogu and that put a whole new level of panic on the situation. Getting your clothing situated, you chose to stand rather than sit. There was a solid chance if you sat down right now you wouldn’t be able to get back up.
Five minutes passed when Din came around the side of the ship to stand at the end of the ramp. Grogu was playing with an unfamiliar toy in the satchel by his side. The Mandalorian must have caved and bought the kid a new toy again.
“Hey,” Din called out without coming closer, “Are you done with the wiring?”
You had stayed behind to repair some loose wiring. Your sole job on the ship was to keep the damn thing in the air, and Maker did the Razor Crest fight you at every step. You nodded. “Yes. Yupp. All good.”
“Come with me.” Din motioned for you to follow after him. “I want to show you something in the town.”
You let out a quiet whimper as he slid out of view, and with a steadying breath you marched out with the most normal gait you could manage. Honestly, you were impressed with yourself. You’d be more impressed if you hadn’t stabbed yourself in the first place, but considering your situation you’d claim this victory. The town wasn’t far from where Din parked the ship and it was a small, but colorful village nestled in the wilds of Naboo. Somehow the fact that you injured yourself while the three of you were parked on one of the most relaxing and safe worlds out there only made your pride sting that much more.
There was sweat beading on your forehead that you had to wipe away and your leg was burning in white, hot agony. Din continued to glance your way, you could feel his gaze, until he finally spoke. “You’re awfully quiet today, tranyc’ika.”
“Just… thinking.” You replied. It was a Maker damned miracle your words didn’t fall out with a whimper. Only a few paces ahead was a little shop that sold caf. Tables and chairs littered the outside patio and the second you and Din began to pass them, you drifted to take a seat. “Hey, how⏤ how about some caf, yeah?”
Din paused and just stared at you. You licked your lips and focused on taking slow breaths through your nose. Finally, Din shifted so he faced you dead on and his hands went to his hips. As if recognizing Din’s ‘lecture stance’, Grogu stopped playing to pay attention to what was happening.
“Walk to me.” He near demanded it.
“That’s a weird request.” You replied and made no move to stand. Din tilted his head at you. Dank farrik. Hands on hip and the head tilt. You were royally fucked. “Yeah, alright. Here I come.”
Just as you had guessed in the ship, the act of sitting down had ruined you. If your slow and shaky rise from the chair didn’t give you away, you took three steps before your left leg gave out on you completely. Before you could hit the ground, strong arms caught you with ease and you looked up to meet Din’s dark t-shaped visor.
“What did you kriffing do?”
“I, uh,” You offered him a sheepish smile, “I, maybe, stabbed myself. A little.”
You had gotten pretty good at reading Din’s body language which was why it was too easy to notice how his entire body stiffened. Without a word, he scooped you up into his arms, bridal style, and began to carry you back toward the ship. Grogu crawled up his dad’s side and found a home on your abdomen where he babbled at you in worry. The babbles were a fantastic distraction from the rage that seemed to waft off Din. When he got back into the cargo hold he carefully set you down after Grogu hopped off. His hands went back to his hip and you could only imagine he was glaring down at you through his visor.
“Pants off. Now.” He snapped.
You had always dreamed of him saying that to you, but it always had a very different context than your current reality. With a pained sigh, you undid your belt then carefully shimmied out of your pants before leaning back on the metal crate behind you for balance. Din ripped his gloves off, tossing them down in a fit, but when his hands found your thigh his touch was soft and careful.
Din peeled away the gauze you had applied and you realized you had nearly bled through more than half of the padding you had put down. The sound of a hiss escaped Din’s helmet when he saw your wound and you couldn’t help but wince as well.
“Don’t move.” He said. Din’s voice left no room for argument as he drifted away. He returned with the first aid kit and you watched him pull out the bacta. You opened your mouth to argue, but the second a sound squeaked out of you his head snapped up to meet your eyes. You didn’t have to guess if he was glaring this time. You could feel the heat of it cutting through the visor and into your soul.
Moments after he applied the bacta, relief began to seep into your thigh. You couldn’t hold back the soft sigh that tumbled from your lips. Din carefully reapplied a new bandage once he was appeased with the amount of bacta he spread around and into the wound. You had hoped when he was finished he would just walk away and leave you to your misery, but you always had been a dumb, blind optimist and the galaxy loved to disappoint you.
Din set his hands on either side of you, knuckles white with how hard he gripped the edge of the crate, and he shook his head. “What happened?”
“I… I tripped. Fell on my knife.”
He sighed, “Are you out of your kriffing mind?”
“No.” You replied. “It’s not like I did it on purpose! I’m negligent, not insane.”
“You tripped, fell on your knife, stabbed yourself in the thigh, and then hid it from me?” Din’s voice grew louder with each event. His words pushing out in what was basically a growl.
You twisted your lips before nodding once. “That is an accurate description of events, yes.”
“Why⏤”
“Because Din!” You interrupted him. “First off, it’s the dumbest injury a person could possibly sustain so of course I didn’t tell you! Forget the karking wound, I nearly died of embarrassment.” You huffed a sigh and shook your head. “And, secondly, I’m so tired of feeling like a burden. You’re always there, taking care of me, and I just… I don’t want to be so dependent on you all the time.”
Din leaned in and you were surprised when he rested his head against your chest. Instinctively, your hands raised to wrap around his helmet, elbows resting on his shoulders. “Gar draar suvarir, tranyc’ika.” He mumbled and you only recognized your nickname. Din lightly shook his head against you. “I want to take care of you. I need to.”
“Why, Din? Why⏤”
“I don’t⏤” Din cut himself off with a grumble. Slowly, he lifted his head back up and your hands fell to his shoulders. “I’ve never been good at expressing myself with⏤ with words. But, I can take care of you. I can show you.”
“Oh.” You replied. Was he…? Did he…? You wondered if this was an admission or if your own feelings for him were biasing your thoughts.
“So will you please, for the love the Maker, just let me take care of you?” Din breathed out.
You nodded. “Okay.”
Din’s body slumped with relief and he caught you off guard by pushing off the crate and pulling you into his arms for an embrace. His arms around you were tight⏤ as if desperate for the touch. When you leaned your weight into him, letting him hold you up, you heard him let out a soft sigh. One of his bare hands traced up your spine and cupped the back of your neck. Feeling the warmth of his hand press against your bare skin made your eyes flutter close.
“It’s a common mistake.” Din said quietly. It took you a moment to pull yourself out of the haze of bliss you had been lost in to hum out a reply. “I tripped and fell on my blade once.”
Your lips pulled up into a smile. “Wait, really?”
“Yes, tranyc’ika.” Din replied. He chuckled. “Granted, it happened when I was seven.”
“Okay, touching moment of comfort, officially over.”
A laugh bubbled out from Din’s helmet, the sound comparable to a fresh breeze with the exhilaration it brought you. He pulled away from you, but left his hand on the back of your neck. Din quickly leaned forward, pressing his forehead to yours for a few seconds, before his hand fell away an the moment truly ended. You stared at him as he collected the first aid kit to put away. Before he could leave, your hand shot out to grasp his wrist.
"I..." You paused. "I think I'm better with words. And I, I just want you to know that you're so important to me, Din."
"I know." Din nodded. He flipped his hand over so he could squeeze your hand, and it brought a smile back to your face. "Now put your pants back on. Your stab wound interrupted our date."
"Wait, our what??"

🎶Hello. It’s me.🎶
Yeah, hi. It’s 💛. Loved the second part to Number 16 Cotton Candy! It was really cute (Torchbearer gives off “I’m not paid enough for all this” vibes imo).
As you probably have guessed, either to your chagrin or joy, I come baring another request. As we all know, Josh shirtless has become a treasured sight within this fandom (and also a bit of a meme but I digress). I was wondering if you could write a one shot about the reader feeling slightly jealous over the fact that every night of tour, he has fans of all genders screaming over him being shirtless. It can be angsty or fluffy, whatever era you want.
As always, you don’t have to do this is you don’t like it. Feel free at anytime to be like, “Nah man. That idea isn’t for me.”🖤
P.S. Idk if you’re chronically online like I am, but this idea was 100% inspired by the video going around TØP twitter of Josh almost taking his shirt off out of habit during one of their recent shows.
Irrational - Josh Dun x Reader
Pairing: Josh x Reader
Warnings: Some swearing, arguments between characters, angst with a little bit of fluff at the end.
Word Count: 1581 (not me literally thinking this was going to be hard to write and turn into a long story...)
Summary: On the Bandito Tour, Reader feel jealous about fans obsessing over Josh's body.
A/N: Yes, number 16 cotton candy’s Torchbearer is literally so blunt for little to no reason and it's low key cute. Tbh would be fun to write more in that universe at some point. The vibe there is like ‘I have more important things to do than worry about your feelings’. He’s the type of person that walks so fast you have to run to catch up. Don’t get me wrong tho, he cares about the banditos and everyone involved but he’s more focused on the bigger picture. And inside he’s a massive softy, you just have to crack that hard shell. Honestly took me a while to wrap my head around this request but I got there in the end. Can't wait for the next one 💛! You're the only one requesting stuff and it's keeping me going through every day!
Every night of The Bandito Tour I’d helped Josh get ready for the show, it was our little tradition, almost like a date. Back during Emotional Roadshow, I’d done the spooky jim makeup but this tour was different. Instead of the red makeup the clique had gotten so used to, Josh began to dorn the Torchbearer outfit from the new album’s music videos, a navy green shirt with yellow duct tape strapped across the front and a yellow bandana.
“Ready?” I asked, looking up at Josh, who stood tall in front of me. He was wearing the blank green shirt he had 7 different versions of. He nodded and reached over to the table sitting in front of the leather couch in the center of the room. Not even Tyler knew how many reels of yellow duct tape we had on tour, they were everywhere. I pulled out the first piece and ripped it with my teeth, the sharp taste of the adhesive ran across my tongue. Laying it on his left shoulder, I brought it down to his hip. The second piece started from the right shoulder and ended just below his left arm.
“All done?” he tilted his head playfully.
“All done,” I smiled as he laid his hands on my waist and pulled me in close. The clique were starting to be let into the arena and we could see on the television screen everyone’s outfits, the sea of yellow stretching from one end to the other. While I loved the clique and the way they supported the boys, it was hard to show up every night and hear them scream for my person. They loved Josh. Every night after the shows Tyler would scroll through twitter looking for fan reactions. It was mainly for improvements and to get a good sense of the fandom but that didn’t stop Tyler from flaunting around his dressing room showing off every possible angle he could find of shirtless Josh. And while I wouldn’t normally consider myself the jealous type, to know tens of thousands of people every night were getting an up close look at Josh drove me insane.
“You’re on in about 30 minutes,” the stage manager’s voice ran through Josh’s in-ears.
“I heard that,” I looked up at him, not wanting to let go.
“We’ve still got time,” he sighed, bringing his arms up to wrap around me. While I enjoyed spending time with him, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed that such an intimate moment between us was so quickly forgotten by the removal of his shirt on stage. I didn’t like that everyone was staring at him like he was some commodity. We were only a third of the way through the tour and I’d already noticed that he always took his shirt off after the first 5 songs.
30 minutes later Josh was sitting behind the drum kit. Jenna and I snuck under the stage to watch, hidden from the fans. The curtain dropped and he lit his torch, the only light onstage. The show started soon after that and they ran through each song as usual–confetti, steam, drum island, all of it. The shirt came off during the Lane Boy intro and stayed off the rest of the show, thrown to the ground like a worthless rag, his bare chest on full display for the entire area to gawk at. I headed backstage during Morph, something about the whole crowd screaming ‘Josh Dun’ making me not want to be there. I knew this was what came with Josh’s job, I should expect it, and I did–but that didn’t mean I liked it, it didn’t mean I was okay with it. About half an hour after I’d headed back to the dressing room, I could hear trees playing. Ten minutes after that Tyler and Josh came running into the dressing room covered in sweat and chugging bottles of water.
“That felt good,” Josh flexed his wrists and stretched each of his fingers. I scoffed under my breath but clearly he’d heard me because his head darted in my direction. “What was that for?” Jenna turned the corner and ran into Tyler’s arms starting their own conversation and allowing me a chance to slip out before Josh could say anything else. I walked through the busy halls of the venue and out to the parking lot. It was dark outside other than a few street lamps allowing me to see the bus. Normally Josh and I slept together in the back but I’d decided to set myself up in one of the top bunks. I stared up at the roof, trying to figure out if I was insane for being jealous–or even if I was jealous. But Josh being Josh, came to find me.
“Y/N?” I didn’t answer. I wanted to be left alone. Except I felt a hand grip the edge of my shirt and creep up the skin of my back, rubbing gently. “What’re you doing up there honey?” His hands felt warm against my cold skin, his palms calloused from the drumming. I wanted to roll over and start crying about how he was mine and no one else's.
“I don’t feel well.” That wasn’t 100% a lie. I didn’t feel well… emotionally.
“What’s wrong?” His voice was full of worry, maybe I’d underestimated his concern.
“Nothing’s wr–”
“Bullshit,” he removed his hand from my back and climbed up the bunk’s ladder. “Move over,” he muttered, squeezing in next to me despite the fact there was no room. His sweaty, shirtless body sprawled on top of me, practically suffocating me. “Talk.”
“It’s nothing Josh, it’s–it’s dumb,” I shook my head. “Would you get off of me?” I tried to move out from under him but it was hopeless.
“I’m not getting off of you until you tell me why you’re mad at me.”
“Why do you think I’m mad at you?” I asked, searching his eyes.
“I know you. You’re mad at me.” It was at that moment the bus rocked. Tyler came running into bunks and pulled at Josh’s leg like a little kid who wanted his mother to buy him ice cream.
“The girl in the pit that caught your stick got a hilarious photo of you and now everyone’s making memes,” he laughed breathlessly. “And everyone thought the torch was cool too, we’re definitely making that a permanent thing. Oh! Oh! Most importantly… Shirtless Josh is trending.” That did it. The last thing I wanted to hear was that my boyfriend’s shirtless body was trending on some stupid social media platform.
“God do you ever shut up Tyler?!” I shouted. There was no going back now. Tyler’s face dropped immediately. I could tell he had no idea what to say–and Tyler always knew what to say.
“I–uh… huh?”
“Get out!” I fumed. Josh jumped down off the bunk, clearly sensing something was terribly wrong. Tyler quietly escaped the bus and Josh followed him out. I was alone again. I could hear them yelling at each other just outside the door.
“What was that for?” Tyler. He hadn’t done anything wrong, he’d done the same thing he did after every show. There was no way of him knowing he’d upset me.
“I–I don’t know what’s wrong with her.” Josh spoke. I switched bunks so I could see outside the window and watch the boys, although the condensation on the glass wasn't helping.
“Well, I definitely didn’t do anything wrong. Jenna said she was acting weird all show and went backstage earlier than normal,” Tyler looked out into the empty parking lot.
“I don’t know what to do,” Josh removed his cap and slicked back his hair before putting it back on.
“Fix it.” Tyler knew what he was doing, he was good for Josh, made him think.
“I think she’s mad at me but I can’t think of anything I did wrong. She was fine till after the show and then she ran off to the bus and lost her shit when you mentioned the trending–shit.” Bingo.
“What?”
“I gotta go talk to her,” he turned towards the bus and I darted back to the other bunk. I heard the door close and the bunk move as he climbed up.
“I know what’s wrong,” Josh reached for my hand and held it tightly in his. “Of course you’d be upset about that of all things,” he chuckled.
“It’s not funny Josh,” I grumbled, scrunching up my face.
“Kinda is considering you should know by now that I’m yours. Just because I’m famous and fans like to look at me doesn’t mean anything is different for us.” I knew he was right, but I didn’t want him to be, it just proved me irrational.
“I’m sorry… I felt jealous and I just cracked when Ty came in and started joking about it trending and–”
“Don’t apologize to me. We’re okay–me and you,” he nodded between us. I cupped his face, he knew me so well. Closing my eyes, I leaned in for a kiss, our lips brushing just slightly. “Wait.” I could hear my heart cracking, he’d stopped me.
“What?” I sighed. I’d royally fucked up this time.
“One, I need to shower before we do anything because I stink, two, we need to go to bed soon, and three, you need to apologize to Tyler,” he explained.
“I hate that you’re right,” I sighed.
“Mhm, yep,” he hummed, “always am.”

at this point, aether is used to being a test subject. he came to teyvat to find his sister, yet now he’s going to leave an unwilling hero and guinea pig—and, by the looks of it, still sisterless.
he can’t count how many times he’s gone through lisa asking him to try a new spell, or charlotte telling him to stand still so she can work on her photography, or lyney practicing a magic trick he’s just come up with. he doesn’t mind it, really, not that much—it’s better than trying to fix all the archons’ problems for them.
(he’s still hoping for diluc to join the ‘ask-aether-to-try-every-new-thing’ club, but considering everyone thinks he’s a teenager and not thousands of years old, he doesn’t think he’ll be doing a wine tasting any time soon.)
point is, this whole thing isn’t just because of his own stupidity. he made a very understandable assumption, alright?
“come here,” albedo says, writing down some notes. “i want you to try this elixir out for me, if you wouldn’t mind.”
aether nods, although albedo can’t see it with his head bent down. he walks over to the table and sees two bottles, both filled about halfway. on the right is a pale green, glistening substance, and the bottle on the left contains a much more appetising blue-purple liquid. albedo doesn’t look up from his notes, so aether takes a fifty-fifty chance and picks up the left bottle. he downs it in one go.
albedo looks up, then tilts his head. “that wasn’t the right one.”
oh.
if paimon were here, she’d panic and begin asking every question she could think of—but she’s not here, and aether doesn’t know how to panic for himself. so, all he says is, “am i going to die?”
“no,” albedo says, sounding a little amused at how flat his voice is. “but—”
“will i be in pain?”
“no.”
aether shrugs. “alright then. i don’t see a prob—lehem!”
his hands shoot up to cover his mouth, his eyes widening as a sudden sensation washes over him. albedo looks on with a mixture of pity and curiosity as he sinks to his knees. “maybe i should have warned you better…”
aether curls in on himself, arms wrapped around his middle now instead of his mouth. “m-mahahake it stohohop!” he pleads, scrunching up his shoulders to protect from invisible, non-existent hands.
albedo kneels down beside him, admiring the grin adorning his face. he’s never heard aether laugh quite so freely before, and it’s very endearing. he finds himself staring for longer than he had intended. aether is the one being tickled, yet albedo is the one blushing—that doesn’t make any sense.
“in my experience, it stops after a short while,” albedo finally says, blinking away from aether’s incredibly pretty face, “although i took a much smaller dose than you. i’d estimate ten minutes at most.”
“t-tehehen?” aether squeaks. “i cahan’t—too muhuhuch!”
albedo can’t help but smile. aether’s laugh is far too contagious. “calm down, you’ll get used to it soon enough. it won’t feel nearly as bad in a couple minutes.”
despite his words, aether whines through helpless laughter, although he keeps any more complaints he may have to himself. from what albedo had experienced, the tickling wasn’t intense at all; merely a step beyond tingling, just enough to make one laugh. for someone as ticklish as aether, he supposes it might be a bit worse, but the overall outcome should be mostly the same.
“it was supposed to be a strength enhancer,” albedo says, carrying the conversation while aether is too busy cackling beside him. “it still is, technically. it just has some…very strong side effects. i’m sure if you could manage to stand, you’d find yourself a bit better with that sword of yours.”
“plehehease,” aether begs. “mahahake it stohohohop…!”
“hm.” albedo reaches around him to scratch at his side, sending him scrambling away with a shriek.
“i hahate yohou!” he wails, then returns his arms around his waist protectively and kicks against the floor a little. “yohou’re cruhuhuel!”
“i could leave you here until it's over,” albedo suggests, making aether frantically shake his head. “maybe even make some more for you.”
“y-yohou wohouldn’t!” aether cries, although they both know he absolutely would.
albedo pokes a spot on his tummy that his arms fail to cover up. “if you say so.”

So... I’m posting this here but I’m TERRIFIED so be nice... please?
“Unknown”
————————————
“Oh for hell’s sake- what did they do?” Crowley muttered, knelt on the floor, pulling books off the shelf. Muriel had ‘reorganized’ Jim’s left over organization (If you could even call organizing half of the bookshop by the first letter of the first word of every book organizing at all). They had gone and organized everything by colour, as they had seen in a clothing shop down the road. Now it was up to Crowley to go through it and set it back the way Aziraphale had had it.
He could miracle it, sure. But he was afraid to do anything to the books that wasn’t earthly - he would set them ‘back’ and somehow they would end up in a library in Greece, where Aziraphale had found it in the first place. So instead, he rolled up the sleeves of his black mock-neck and got to work.
“How had he done this again..?” He mumbled, brows furrowed and frown long. Dewy decimal system? No... Maybe? By author? No- that’s not like Azirazphale. Too literal. Maybe by genre? Or the story alone? How could Crowley organize like that, when he’d picked up maybe ten books in all of time?
He opened the green hardcover in his hand and looked on the front and back covers. Maybe he had written in them? No- the Angel wouldn’t have defaced his precious books that way. No way in hell. It would be so easy to just ask him.
But Crowley couldn’t.
It had been three months since Aziraphale stepped into the lift to heaven with one last wayward glance towards Crowley. Since ‘the incident’. Crowley massaged his temples with his thumb and forefinger, sighing in a way that made his chest burn.
In that time, he had smashed every breakable thing in his apartment, miracled it back perfect, and smashed it again- wash and repeat twenty times or so. And even after that, exhausted, he’d still felt the rage of a thousand scorpions crawling inside his rib cage.
How? How had he been so oblivious? How had he ever thought he could be enough for him? How could he, a demon, had been enough to make Aziraphale turn down all of heaven at his fingertips? He was too righteous. Too pure. Crowley had tainted that enough already.
He had come to the conclusion that this was... better. That Aziraphale was getting what he rightfully deserved- to be seen. Heard. Understood. Crowley never understood him. Not really. It was always push and pull between them, trying their best to balance each other in the grey area they had created - he had created. Aziraphale was always good. Always an Angel. And no matter how much Crowley wanted to be sweet for the Angel, he was damned. He had made the choice to raise his fist to heaven, and now this- this heartbreak was God’s hilarious punishment.
He pulled off his glasses and scrubbed his eyes with his forearm. He’d been at this for an hour. Pulling books and trying to remember where they went, looking at the summaries, if they had it, and sorting them into piles, leaving fictional mysteries on this area of the shelf. He’d try his best to organize them how he thought his Angel would like. So that maybe, it wouldn’t be too much to fix when he came back.
If he ever came back.

So, I have written about four more (and much longer) chapters. I think I’m going to call this “unknown” because hozier’s song KILLS ME when I think about these two. I don’t know, if this gets literally no eyes on it I may just delete it and write it for myself. C’est la vie.

Day 10 - Sloth
Hey, cheers to being ten days into my writing challenge where i write a short story every day for a month!
Sloth
Nicole was a lazy writer.
Everyday, she’d stumble off of her messy bed, traverse the overencumbering few inches to her desk and stare at a blank google docs page on her desktop. Sometimes, she wouldn’t even do that much, just staring at the blankness in bed.
She’d do all sorts of things throughout her day while daydreaming about the book she was supposed to be writing. She’d pace back and forth, boil some tea, watch a movie, play a game, maybe even read for some “Inspiration”, basically anything but what she was actually supposed to do. She’d often joke to herself that she was “Too Gay to Function!” But she knew that she could do better, that nagging brain of hers would never shut up long enough to forget that.
The worst part about it was that she didn’t even have writer’s block. She knew exactly what needed to be put to words, she’d just get anxious and forcefully distract herself to get the narrow illusion of comfort. It arguably got worse after she started role-playing. She’d roleplay via text, easily typing thousands of words every day for years for her various partners. Yet nothing from her daily word count went towards her projects, her dreams… But given all the real life drama, mayhem and responsibilities around her, she felt lucky to role play, that having someone there to actually read and respond to her words gave her the motivation to keep going. She knew damn well that her word count would have been zero for an embarrassing amount of time if not for her partners encouraging her. Nicole knew that role playing wasn’t a waste of time, that it encouraged her to keep writing more and putting her creative mind to good use, even if her partners dwindled over time.
As she continued seeking the validation of online strangers since her so-called “loved ones” would never give that to her, she began to see a different side of herself. She initially thought that the roleplaying hobby she developed came from a need to express herself creatively, that the build up of her responsibilities taking up her entire day was driving her mad, and that having an excuse to write frequently would be enough. And for a while it was, as her mental health briefly improved. But there was always this lingering feeling that something was missing. That’s when she finally realized what had been bothering her…
Nicole was alone.
It was hard to notice since she wasn’t alone physically, but emotionally. She had no one to open up to, everyone around her being self-centered, dismissive and/or emotionally manipulative. But she knew that something had to change, that she couldn’t truly grow as a writer or as her own person until she finally had a real support network that cared for her. If she was to write characters who had such things, then she needed to understand what that was like.
So, the first step was to scour the internet, looking for like minded people to befriend, namely other writers. Of course making friends and establishing friend groups online was (and likely always will be) a complete crapshoot, facing lots of rejection, ghosting and drama, but she eventually did find what she was looking for.
Now that she had people in her life that would care if she lived or died, Nicole gained a new perspective on life. She’s met all sorts of wondrous people who have been progressing their own creative passions far more than she truly had. Their mere presence was enough to inspire her to do more. But of course Inspiration is only the start of true dedication, so she did all sorts of challenges, polished up her writing a bit and built a routine so she can get back to work.
With warmth finally emerging in her icy, neglected heart, she finally was able to do what she should have been all along.
Now, we can look back and say…
Nicole was a lazy writer.

My first ficlet for the Ace Omens discord server's second "20 Days of Hugs" challenge! The goal is to write 20 ficlets during the month of January, based on randomly chosen prompts.
Office Mates
Rating: G
Wordcount: 971
Prompt: Hugging the other from behind
-
Quick, light footsteps approached Furfur’s office. Furfur rubbed his eyes and made himself look busy. He knew those footsteps. Hopefully Shax would pick someone else to bother this time. Surely she'd learned from last time that Furfur wouldn’t do her any special favors, even if she still imagined he owed her for the lead on Crowley’s collusion with that angel.
There was a time when Furfur would have been glad to see Shax, but ever since she got promoted to ambassador plenipotentiary, she no longer had time to acknowledge lower-ranked demons she used to know. And Furfur didn't need the reminder of how long he'd been stuck in Requisitions while she climbed the ladder.
The footsteps did not continue past the door like he’d hoped, but stepped inside and stopped. “Oh,” said Shax’s voice.
“What do you want this time?” Furfur sighed. “Another ten thousand demons? I still haven’t got…”
He looked up and trailed off. Shax was standing in the doorway, holding a cardboard box and looking like she’d been caught in a trap.
Furfur frowned and set aside the forms he’d been pretending to fill out. “What’s all that?”
Shax looked down at the box like she hated it. “I’ve been reassigned,” she said in clipped tones. “Just. Looking for my new desk. I obviously got lost, excuse me.” She turned to leave.
“Hang on,” Furfur called after her. She stopped. “They did tell me I was getting a new office mate. Didn’t know it’d be you, though. I take it the bookshop siege went badly?”
Shax turned back around, staring at her box and pursing her lips the way she did when she was too upset to form words.
Furfur winced. Pity he hadn’t been able to get her a few more demons. He hadn’t thought it would go badly enough to bump her all the way down to requisitions. He got to his feet and motioned for her to hand him the box. “Here, let me take that.”
She handed it over. There wasn’t much inside, just some office supplies, a cell phone, and something green and spiky in a white bowl. “Is that a plant?” he asked.
“I stole it from Crowley,” said Shax. “The prize of his collection.”
Furfur doubted that. It was very small, no larger than a child’s head, and significantly less appropriate for a demon to decorate their office with. “Right. Well, it’s not gonna get much light down here,” he said, glancing at the flickering fluorescent light overhead.
“I intend to starve it slowly of nutrients.”
“Oh, great.” Furfur set the box in the corner. “We’ll have to share the desk, unfortunately, but I’ll put in a request for a new chair for you. Give me a moment.” He turned back to his desk.
As soon as his back was turned, both of Shax’s arms wrapped around him.
Furfur stiffened and squeezed his eyes shut, expecting Shax’s teeth to sink into his neck, or her claws to shred his throat. Neither of those happened. She wasn’t even squeezing him hard enough to suffocate him, just enough to hold him in place. He waited, but she made no move to attack him. If Furfur didn’t know better, he’d say Shax was hugging him.
Which she wasn’t, of course, because demons didn’t hug. Although, she had spent the last several months on Earth, so who knew what odd habits she’d picked up. “Er,” Furfur asked cautiously. “What’s this?”
“I’m demonstrating how easily I could attack you, if I wished. Since you were foolish enough to turn your back on me.” Shax paused. “But. I do need that chair. So I currently have no reason to actually harm you.”
“Okay.” Furfur relaxed, now that he knew he wasn’t in danger. The experience wasn’t unpleasant, actually. Huh.
“I am also,” Shax added, “holding you in place, so that you can’t run away. You have to listen to what I say.”
“Okay?” Furfur had no idea where she was going with this. It occurred to him that Shax didn’t actually need him to request her a chair, since if she discorporated him, she could just take his. He decided not to point that out.
Shax drew a deep breath. “I am. Sorry. That I mocked you for letting Aziraphale and Crowley slip past you. They are…more formidable than I expected.”
Furfur tried to turn and look at her, but unlike some demons, he did not have the gift of turning his head 180 degrees. “Is that all? I’ve already forgotten,” he lied. “Besides, they’ve stuck both of us down here, so I think we can call it even.”
“Quite.” Shax released him and stepped back hurriedly. When Furfur turned around, she was stiffly holding out a fist.
Furfur bumped his fist against hers. “Bad day?”
“The worst,” Shax said emphatically.
Furfur shrugged sympathetically. “Could’ve been worse, though, couldn’t it? If you went up against an angel, you’re lucky all you lost was your job. Could’ve been permanently discorporated.” He was glad that hadn’t happened. This new, humbled Shax was much better company. She was like the Shax he’d used to talk to at the water cooler, who had offered to help him and asked for only an unspecified future favor, which was basically nothing in Hell, in return.
“I suppose my punishment could have been worse, as well,” said Shax, looking around the office. “We’ll be working together again. Like old times.”
“Yeah,” said Furfur, grinning. “Except, this time, we’ve got our own office.”
Shax smiled, showing far too many needle-sharp teeth. “With our combined intelligence, the Requisitions department will soon be ours.” “Okay, one thing at a time, yeah?” said Furfur sitting down at his desk. “I’ll see if I can get you that chair, and then we can go from there.”

i think eren would kind of enjoy it though even if he pretends to hate it lol he likes her attention!!!
Him trying not to react as she smooths his lapels, gives him another one over, all before telling no and to go back in the fitting room so she can go talk to an associate at whatever fancy store they’re at!
omg anon this is so cute you gave me an idea for this scene i got inspired and i never write chronologically anyways so here's a mini drabble! (will this be the exact version idk, but hope you enjoy anyways!!!)
By no means had Eren ever been poor, his dad was literally a doctor. He had grown up living a comfortable life—one that consisted of the typical upper-middle class luxuries. His college had been paid for in full, he was treated to little luxuries like the newest gaming systems and trendy clothes, and there were certainly never any worries about finances.
But this was certainly a level of wealth he didn't think he would ever get used to. There were crystal chandeliers on the ceilings, glasses of thousand dollar champagne that were being offered to every patron, and suits and dresses lining the racks that cost more than a down payment on a house. When Mikasa told him she was taking him suit shopping, he assumed they’d go to Neiman Marcus at the most, not whatever this was.
He felt like a fish out of water as he stood around in the dressing room, waiting aimlessly for Mikasa and Petra, the sales associate Mikasa seemed to be well acquainted with, to return with their third round of suits. Eren wasn’t sure why a simple black suit wouldn’t suffice, but according to Mikasa, he couldn’t show up to a political event in a just any old regular suit, let alone a rental.
So here he was hours later being forced to try on suit after suit, nothing seeming to please her. His patience was starting to run thin and he was tired, but surprisingly, Mikasa was being oddly… nice? Given the word nice may have been him overreaching, but she was certainly withholding from the insults, and rather than speaking to him like he was a second class citizen, she was being friendlier than usual.
Eren assumed it was because, oddly enough, she seemed to be enjoying making him her own life-sized Ken doll. It was out of the ordinary for her to be directing so much of her attention towards him, let alone having her fuss over him and paying attention to something as small as whether or not the cuff links Petra brought out would match with the watch he always wore (he didn’t even think Mikasa had bothered to notice that he even wore a watch everyday).
He found himself fidgeting with his dress shirt sleeves, until he finally heard Mikasa’s voice growing closer. Eren could hear her laughing over what he assumed was something Petra had said—something he didn’t hear her do very often around the house. Before he knew it, there were three more suits being held through the curtain, the tiny peaking of her manicured hand holding up the hangers.
“Try on the blue one first, and show me once you’re done,” her voice direct, but less bossy than usual. “Please,” she added after, this time her voice almost inaudible.
As usual, he relented, but at least she had the decency to say please for once. Part of him was still annoyed he couldn’t just wear a black suit, but according to Mikasa, “all men wear black suits”, and he “needed to be different.” Why? He didn’t understand. He was just her bodyguard. But he had learned which battles to pick with Mikasa, and this unfortunately just wasn’t going to be one he’d win.
Eren was faster about getting dressed this time, after ten suits, it seemed to have become second nature, and also hoping this would be the last one he had to try on. He didn’t even bother to take a look in the mirror, throwing the curtain open and walking to where Mikasa was in the show room.
Her eyes flickered up from her phone, setting down the champagne glass she had in her other hand onto the table next her, standing up to inspect him.
Eren felt oddly vulnerable as she walked around, poking and prodding at the suit, making sure it was up to her (very high) standards. She stopped in front of him, fixing the lapels of his suit, smoothing them out. He could smell the floral of her perfume from how close she was, not used to her being in such close proximity before. Eren felt his ears growing out, but he was glad that she she took a step back before she could notice, a pleased look on her face.
“Hey, Petra! Can you bring me those two ties we picked out for this one, please?” Mikasa called out, Petra appearing with what seemed to Eren, two versions of the exact same patterned tie, placing them neatly in her hands before she scurried off to another customer. She looked between the two before settling on whichever she seemed to like more, before placing it in his hands. “Okay, put this one on.”
“Oh… Umm… I can’t tie a tie—I normally wear clip-ons,” he confessed, his ears turning red again.
“Tch, of course you can’t,” she replied, rolling her eyes. “Okay, lift your collar up, I guess I can help you. And bend down a bit—you’re too tall.”
He followed as instructed, Mikasa’s surprisingly gentle fingers working around his neck to make do with the tie. If they weren’t in public, he’d be a little scared she’d try and choke him or something, but she seemed to be in a good mood today. She hummed to herself softly as she quickly fastened the windsor knot, faster than Eren would’ve done even with help. When she finished, she lightly placed his collar back down, her fingers like ice as they brushed the skin of his neck in the process. She gave him one final pat down, fixing every little detail, before bringing him to the mirror.
“Do you like it?” The tiniest bit of excitement in her voice, almost as if she wanted to be validated in her choice.
Eren eyed himself, and he could admit that he felt like he looked nice. But it didn’t feel like it was that much different than the ten other suits he tried on. He was never one to care about things like this, but he could tell it mattered to her, so at the very least, he could give her the satisfaction she was seeking.
“Yea, think this one’s probably the best out of all of ‘em.”
A small smile flashed across her face, before she ushered him to the fitting room. “Okay, hurry up and get changed then so we can go check out then.”
Eren finally bothered to look at the price tag, his eyes growing wide once he did. “Mikasa, this is like a $7k suit, are you sure?” He asked as he walked into the fitting room.
“We’re using daddy’s credit card, remember?” She replied rolling her eyes. “Plus, this is technically a business expense—you’re an employee—and rich people just love a good tax write off.”
“Okay, fine, if you insist.”
“Of course I do. Now hurry up, we still have to go get you shoes!”
All Eren could do was sigh, hoping Mikasa wouldn’t be nearly as picky with shoes as she was with clothes.

in short: if you are emotionally or mentally vulnerable, please dni.
If someone were to ask me what time it was, I wouldn’t be able to tell them. First off, I would look down at my watch and realize that said watch was not on my wrist. I would then ask myself why my watch was not on my wrist, then I would remember, oh yeah, Will has a matching one, and I was dead to Will, so I didn’t wear the watch anymore. Time was just a construct, anyway. In the end, I’d probably mess around with the person asking and say some shit like, “It’s 420:69.” I was drunk, though, so I was allowed.
I was at some frat party, spending what was my last official night as a student at the University of Indianapolis with the brotherhood of Alpha Lambda Dickhole. I was seated on some musty couch, stained with whatever the fuck that was, with an empty glass resting between my legs and a bottle of whiskey in my hand. I’d given up some time ago on trying to pace myself. Some kind of synth-infused rock music vibrated across the floor, and I could feel the bass reverberating in my bones, which would normally make me want to get up and dance, but I wasn’t particularly in a celebratory mood; I was only halfway through my sophomore year, and had just dropped out.
It wasn’t like I hadn’t seen this coming. I had been spiraling for a long time. It all started over summer break between my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college. I never even wanted to go to college in the first place. What was the point of spending tens of thousands of dollars on a creative writing degree when I could just freelance and eventually get published? But my father insisted that I at least attend a state school with cheaper tuition, claiming, “You can’t run on ink and espresso, son. You have to put in the work and have the credentials to show for it.” On the bright side, it was a miracle that Dad had enough confidence in me to allow me to pursue writing at all. But I was on thin ice with my father, had been for years, so I agreed to at least think about college.
My friends chose their respective schools fairly quickly; Dustin had gotten in with a full ride scholarship to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Max and Lucas went to UCLA as sports science and physical therapy double majors, El went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville to pursue a degree in therapy, and Will… Will went to Chicago. Which school he went to, or if he went to college at all, I didn’t know. To study what, I had no clue. Where he lived within the city, I hadn’t the slightest idea. That’s what happens when your ex-best friend up and leaves without so much as a “goodbye.” I considered the day Will left to be the day my world stopped turning and time froze. So I took off my watch and hid it in a shoebox under my bed with the rest of my mini-shrine.
Dr. Owens and his team had arranged government-mandated counseling for all of those involved in the Vecnapocalypse. A year in, though, I didn’t see a point in going anymore. I was healed. I was fine. I was ready to move on with my life. Well, everyone else in the Party was ready to move on. Why wouldn’t I be? It probably hadn’t been the best decision on my part to stop going to therapy, but without Will in my life, I didn’t have much of a reason to stay in Hawkins at all, and I really didn’t feel like dredging up my past once a week to pick apart as if I were in an anatomy lab practical. Besides, I didn’t feel like arguing anymore with my dad. So, I begrudgingly packed my bags and headed to Indianapolis, killing two birds with one stone.
When I got to campus, I was assigned to dorm with this guy named Elvis (yes, as in Presley). Aside from his stupid ass name, Elvis Kuiken was a good roommate. He was a senior who kept to himself most days, when he wasn’t working. He was clean, at least by my standards (which were on the floor, literally and figuratively speaking), and he was also part of a fraternity. He’d always bring me along to parties, all in the name of the formative freshman experience. What this “experience” primarily entailed, I came to find out, was alcohol. Weed, too, no doubt… but extra emphasis on alcohol.
I didn’t want to admit it, at least not to others, but I became a lot more withdrawn since my falling out with Will. I wasn’t as outgoing, as daring, or as extroverted as I used to be. I was used to being an outcast of sorts, so not much changed there. Except now, where I used to have the confidence to at least approach people and introduce myself– “Hi, I’m Michael! Do you want to be my friend?” “Yes.”– I couldn’t do that anymore. It was like my communicational skills had completely disappeared. But during my first party, I took a shot of tequila and must’ve made at least ten acquaintances within the three hours I was there. If only Troy could see how popular I was now. He’d piss his pants… again. It was like a light flickered on in my head; the more I drank, the more sociable I’d become. I took this epiphany and ran with it.
One time back in— September?— or something, I had been at a party for a few hours, and came up with the idea to try every single type of liquor to ever exist. I picked up a shot glass and stood at the counter for a good fifteen minutes, downing shot after shot. I woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache, unsure of how I even got back to my dorm room. But then I looked to my right and saw Elvis’s head resting on my very shirtless, hickey-covered chest. Oh. That’s how I got home. I wasn’t able to wear any shirts with collars below my clavicle for days. I didn’t hate it, though. In fact, that wasn’t the last time my roommate and I hooked up. Stumbling through the door, making out in the dark, and whispering each other’s names into otherwise complete silence until the sun came up became a regular occurrence.
Christmas break arrived, and most of my time back in Hawkins was spent trying to avoid Will. And from the way I saw it, Will was everywhere. He was the art on my bedroom wall. He was the yellow sweater that hung in my closet, probably the only colorful item in my entire wardrobe that I hadn’t thrown out, because it was Will’s sweater. He was the shea butter soap on the bathroom counter. He was the hot cocoa mix in the kitchen cabinet. He was the D&D box buried underneath my bed that I neglected since Eddie’s death in 1986. He was the Party. So I didn’t leave my basement for the entirety of mid-December to the beginning of January, with the exceptions of family dinners and sleep. I won’t lie, I was a little bit ashamed of how I’d handled things with the Party. I definitely shouldn’t have iced everyone out. My friends made various attempts to get the Party back together, and always invited me, but I’d always have some kind of excuse as to why I couldn’t hang out with them. They eventually stopped calling.
One Saturday afternoon, I was sprawled out on the couch watching Star Wars: Episode VI– Return of the Jedi, and Nancy and Jonathan came barrelling in through the basement entrance, practically swallowing each other whole. I missed the feeling of being in love. I’d cleared my throat when it started to get a bit too steamy, causing the lovebirds to jump apart in shock. Nancy smoothed her skirt while Jonathan lifted a hand into the air to greet me. I nodded back in acknowledgement. This silent interaction had me wanting to crawl out of my skin. All I wanted to do was ask Jonathan about Will; how Will was, what Will was doing, if Will had met anyone, if Will remembered me. It was like Jonathan could read my mind, because he said, completely unprompted, “He still thinks about you, Mike. He hasn’t forgotten you.” I actively committed those words to memory.
I ran into Joyce during a last minute school supplies shopping trip to Melvald’s on my way out of town. It was bound to happen at some point, what with Joyce owning Melvald’s now. I’d expected it to be awkward, but was proven wrong when Joyce practically jumped the counter to engulf me, her honorary third son, in a hug. She’d pulled me all the way down to her level, so I was bent at almost a 90 degree angle, but I didn’t care.
“How’ve you been, sweetheart? How’s Indy treating you?” she asked. That was a loaded question. It would be spectacular if your son hadn’t left, but whatever.
“It’s treating me well, I’m mostly taking my gen eds right now, but I’m always writing my own material when I’m not in class,” I grinned, trying my best to not let it look fake or forced. Joyce seemed to buy it.
“I’m so glad to hear that. You know, I always knew you were going to become a writer,” Joyce smiled, and I nodded, staying as neutral as possible. I knew where she was going with this. “I remember it as if it were yesterday,” bingo, “that in the mornings after your sleepovers, you and Will would sit at the dining room table with your eggs and maple syrup and work on your comics for hours. Do you remember that?”
“Yeah,” I replied wistfully, “I do.” I glanced down at my shoes, trying not to let any tears escape. The amount of crying over Will that I’d done just within the time I was back home was pathetic. But Joyce didn’t seem to mind in the least, because she reached up and ran her thumbs over my cheeks, where a few stray tears had traveled down against my will.
“Oh, honey,” Joyce held my face in her hands, eyes filled with compassion, and pulled me into another hug, holding me close. I had always loved Joyce, but this mutual understanding led me to reserve a special place in my heart for her.
We engaged in a little more small talk before she personally walked (dragged) me through the store with my shopping list to retrieve the items I needed. When she checked out my items at the counter, she grabbed a pen and post-it note, wrote something on it, and handed it to me. I held it up to eye level with a shaky hand.
“That’s Will’s phone number, he’s at the American Academy of Art,” she whispered. My eyes widened, and I breathed, “Thank you, Ms. Byers. So much,” before heading out the door to my car. I sat in the parking lot for a solid fifteen minutes, causing myself to fall behind schedule, but I had Will’s phone number. That was a good enough reason to be late, in my book.
After what felt like a fucking eternity, I was finally able to return to campus. I’d set my suitcase down next to my bed, and took a minute to collect my thoughts prior to unpacking. All of a sudden, Elvis clumsily tripped over his own feet through the door, sheepishly grinning at me, having just been startled. I felt a blush rise to my cheeks, followed by a quiet, “hi.” Seconds later, we were all over each other.
It was around this time that I finally came to terms with the undeniable fact that I was exclusively attracted to men. I’d always believed my sexual preferences existed as a strict ratio of 70:30, with 70% being women and 30% being men. I’d always been aware of my attraction to guys (Will); I’d been sure of that for as long as I could remember. The confusing part about it all was when El came into the picture, and everyone and their mother expected us to start dating. I was, like, twelve at the time, so of course I went along with what everyone else wanted. That backfired majorly when El confronted me with tears in her eyes, asking, “But… you don’t love me anymore?” and my impulse response was, “I don’t even think I loved you romantically to begin with.” It took a long time for me and El to repair our friendship following that conversation, and to help me bullshit my parents into falling for some half-baked reason as to why my “sweetie pie” and I broke up so suddenly.
When I started my… situationship with Elvis, though, I began to question my 70:30 ratio. Elvis, to put it simply, was hot. He was taller than me, just by an inch, but it didn’t stop him from calling me “short.” I found that hilarious, as I stood at a staggering six foot three. Elvis had tanned skin, blonde hair which he kept in a preppy side part, and bright eyes that captured the essence of the bluest sky. He had full lips, a chiseled jawline, and a lean yet muscular build with the likeness of a Greek statue. Elvis had the most gorgeous hands. I particularly liked when those hands pinned my wrists above my head. I also liked when those blue eyes bore into my soul in the way that only one other pair of eyes had ever been able to do within my mere eighteen years of life. And I loved when that chiseled jawline, rough from lack of shaving, rubbed abrasively against my neck.
Elvis was adamant on there being no strings attached. He made sure to remind me every time we did anything remotely sexual, but over time, those words began to lose their potency, like watering down vodka to make it go down smoother. My wide eyes and “yes, of course, I understand”s were slowly replaced with absentminded “mmhmm”s. I figured that as long as Elvis never picked up on my social cues (or lack thereof), and as long as he never knew about me secretly developing more-than-fuck-buddies feelings for him, I would be in the clear. But eventually, something in Elvis had melted away, and he started calling me “my boy,” “love,” and “sweetheart,” amongst other gross (sweet) pet names. I assumed that Elvis had caved and given up on whatever rules he’d set for himself.
Regardless of the apparent stability in our situationship, my mind dwelled in a constant state of disarray. I knew I was not straight. I wasn’t even sure if I was bisexual. I became more conscious of who caught my eye in public, and what I wanted out of the people I interacted with. I discovered I didn’t feel the same way about curves, boobs, or soft lips as I felt when I saw a pair of broad shoulders, a sharp jawline, or a tapered waistI felt different.
Part of me resented myself for being different. I hated the idea of being a target, whether it be for my family, the government, or society as a whole. I'd tried to change. I hooked up with a few girls over the course of a week, “just to see something,” but I'd spent the entire time wondering when it would be over so I could go home. All of those girls either got bored, weren’t satisfied, or got mad that I couldn’t get it up— if not a combination of all three— and left. I scared myself a little when I didn’t feel the slightest bit guilty.
When my encounter with the last girl fell through, I decided I didn’t want to live my life in sexuality limbo anymore. I ran all the way back to my dorm hall, hauled ass up the stairwell, and let myself into my room. Elvis spun around from where he sat at his desk, and could barely get out a “Hey, man,” before I was ripping Elvis from his chair and pulling him in, kissing him with all my might. It didn’t take long for Elvis to reciprocate my advances, kissing back with equal intensity and pushing me back until we hit the side of Elvis’s raised bed frame. I huffed a laugh against Elvis’s lips before hoisting myself up backwards and onto the mattress, watching as Elvis chased after me. He pushed his knee between my legs, and I took the hint, wrapping my ankles around Elvis’s hips. “I want to be with you, baby. With strings, all the strings,” I had told Elvis before pulling him down for another searing kiss, and… that was when my memory cut out for the evening.
I woke up the next morning, hangover hitting me like a truck, to see Elvis already awake and dressed, lifting boxes onto a trolley that was stationed in the middle of the room. Through squinted eyes, I noticed Elvis’s side of the room was essentially bare, save for the dorm furniture, which belonged to the school.
“What’s happening?” I croaked out, and Elvis dropped the box he was holding onto the pile with a loud thump. “Too loud. Headache,” I whispered sharply through gritted teeth.
“It always is too loud, isn’t it?” my roommate laughed wryly to himself, not making any effort to be any quieter. I sat up, rubbing my eyes and ignoring the fact that I was naked and in Elvis’s bed, the only thing that hadn’t been packed up yet.
“What the fuck, Elvis? What are you doing?”
“I’m moving out today, remember?” The two young men finally gained eye contact, and I felt my stomach drop like I was on a roller coaster. “I’m graduating in a few days and need my stuff out by this afternoon.”
Move out was today? Vecna must have been back with a vengeance, because how else would time move so quickly on its own? Sure, Elvis mentioned in passing, like, a few weeks ago, at most, that he was leaving soon. But it still didn’t make sense, because it was only… What, March? No, The Phone Call™ was a while ago. Was it April? My mom called me at least a few weeks prior to wish me a happy nineteenth birthday. Plus, weren’t commencement ceremonies scheduled for the weekend of– “What’s today’s date?”
I watched the blonde in front of me unsubtly scoff with impatience. “It’s May 1st, Mike.” I could only blink back at Elvis in response for a few seconds while I tried to process the fact that my brain was capable of skipping over whole months of my life. There was no way it was May 1st already.
“No,” was the only word I was capable of saying.
“Yet here we are, baby,” Elvis sneered as he whipped his comforter off of me, leaving me exposed and humiliated. “Time flies when you’re blackout drunk. I suggest you try and get your drinking under control, before you end up having to drop out.”
It was like Elvis was a completely different person, completely different from the man who had fucked me senseless the night before. What did I do to deserve this? I didn’t do or… say anything? Oh no. Now I knew what was going on. I drank too much, opened up, and blurted out loud that I wanted to be in a relationship with Elvis, who didn’t feel the same. my face was on fire with embarrassment.
I scrambled off the bed and ran to get dressed while Elvis pulled the last of his sheets off the cheap university mattress. He didn’t fold them, and instead balled them up and shoved them in the trash. I could barely breathe. I merely stood there and watched as my gorgeous Greek (actually Dutch) god of a roommate left our shared room for the last time. Well, I seemingly dodged a bullet. What an asshole.
I was sad that Elvis was gone, but it didn’t completely destroy me the way Will leaving did. What it most likely came down to, in Elvis’s instance, was a horrible case of internalized homophobia. I was very familiar with this mindset; I'd fought a gory, gruesome battle with my own mind for my entire adolescence, at war with myself to prevent acting upon my ever-growing romantic love for Will. But one day, my feelings finally retaliated, and my life immediately went to shit.
“What are you doing, Mike? Is this a joke?”
“No, Will, I’m in love with you.”
“Don’t say that. Please don’t say that. You don’t mean it.”
Comparing the two inevitably led to some old memories resurfacing to haunt me, but I felt strangely lucky. I'd been let off easily. Despite the way I stood completely stupefied in my dorm room, I knew this was temporary, and had full confidence that I'd be able to recover from this pretty quickly. Said confidence was probably the only thing that saved me from losing my mind. Well, that, and the pressure to pass my classes distracted me for a few days. Without having done much studying at all, I army crawled through my finals and barely made it out alive.
About a week later, I moved out of my dorm hall and into an apartment about two miles away from campus. It was a pretty nice place, considering the rent he (my father) paid for it. I got a job at the local coffee shop… which I lost before the month was up, because he never showed up to my shifts. I'd been shocked when Ted insisted upon co-signing the lease, because I didn’t think my dad would be willing to help me stay away from Hawkins. On the other hand, though, it made sense when Ted told me flat out that he wanted me out of the house. I didn’t blame him; I'd been referred to by my father as a “leech” on multiple occasions during my stay over Christmas break, which pretty much tracked. I felt a little guilty about that one.
I appreciated the independence, I truly did. It was a great feeling to have my own room again, to have a more comfortable desk chair to sit at while I drew up plans for a new fantasy novel starring a gay protagonist, to have a bathroom to myself, and most importantly, to have a full-sized refrigerator to fill with all the alcohol I could ever want. But sometimes, late at night, I would catch myself getting a bit too sad.
The entire summer was an endless cycle. I would wake up and make a pot of coffee. I'd sit down and write a chapter or two of my book, and stick to doing that for a few hours. I would check the time (on my wall clock, of course) and take a lunch break, which was usually a box of Annie’s shells and white cheddar. After I'd haphazardly tossed my singular bowl and fork into the sink to be washed later, I'd go back to writing. This wouldn’t last long, because I'd get distracted after smoking a joint, and probably end up staring at that one photo of myself and Will from senior year (Jonathan captured the moment: I had, by some miracle, perched myself up on Will’s handlebars, and Will struggled to hold his bike steady because I was laughing too hard) that sat framed on my desk. I'd snap out of my trance ten minutes later and mentally kick myself for staring for so long, which led to grabbing some form of alcohol and getting wasted, like all my potential. I would make one last attempt at writing and fail miserably. I'd stumble into the shower, and drag myself through my apartment until I found my bed. Most nights, I would end up crying myself to sleep, staring at The Painting™, which I'd tacked up on my bedroom ceiling as a form of self-punishment. It was a sad way to live, really. So I vowed that when the school year started up again, things would be different.
That was how I ended up at the library in late July, browsing the mythology section, squinting at titles printed on spines while my lips formed a straight, thin line. I knew I was officially a hermit when even the library gave me social anxiety. I'd just pulled a rather old looking book off the shelf when a tenor voice behind me caught me off guard.
“Never thought I’d see the day that book would leave the shelf. You must’ve had to brush off, like, a hundred years’ worth of dust just to get to the cover.” I twisted around to put a face to a voice, and was pleasantly surprised when I met eyes with a short guy (well, to me he was short; he was probably, like, 5’9”) with dyed, firetruck red hair that fell over his forehead in a sweeping motion. I liked how he wasn’t afraid to be bold.
“You’re definitely right about that,” I smirked, setting the book down and watching as the growing pile teetered from side to side on the table’s surface. I couldn’t decide where I wanted my story to go next, let alone if I wanted to continue with my current plot at all, so I'd planned on taking a bit of inspiration from… well, everything.
“So you’re into mythology?” the guy asked, and I shoved my hands in my pockets, leaning against the bookshelf as I focused my gaze down. He had pretty eyes. They were hazel, but not too green, not like–
“Yeah, I’m a creative writing major, and I’m trying to expand my horizons a little,” I replied, sitting down at the table. “Like, not to discount the genius of Tolkein, because he literally founded my childhood, but sometimes it’s good to go back to the basics and draw inspiration from there.”
The guy shrugged, and sat across the table from me. “Nothing wrong with that. I think it’s really smart, actually. Or else stories end up getting repetitive and dull.”
“Exactly!” I pointed both index fingers in the guy’s direction, as if to say, “Finally, someone who understands!” I struggled with this concept lately; the uniqueness factor. It turned out that having a male protagonist who just so happened to be romantically attracted to other males wasn’t enough reason to get a book to sell. I needed something else, something of substance, and something that wouldn’t remind readers of other books they’d previously read. “Are you into writing as well?”
“No,” the guy shyly smiled, “I’m just into guys who write about mythology.” Pardon? Was this masculine male-dude-man hitting on me? In public? I wasn’t complaining, but I hadn’t necessarily picked up on any hints. Although, the dyed hair should’ve been a dead giveaway.
“Oh. Um, I– wow, okay,” I stuttered, diverting my eyes to my books for a few seconds to process what was being said before returning to an expectant pair of hazel eyes still looking right at me. “I’m Mike, Mike Wheeler.”
“Wyatt Bowman.”
I cleared my throat. “Are you free in an hour, Wyatt?”
“Yeah, why?” Wyatt raised an eyebrow, causing me to huff a nervous laugh, tapping my Ticonderoga pencil against my spiral-bound notebook at the same speed my knee bounced up and down underneath the table.
“I just gotta take some notes from here, then I was thinking we could… hang out, or something?” I glanced up hopefully at Wyatt.
The corners of Wyatt’s mouth curved upwards as he repeated, “Or something?”
I nodded, confirming our silent sub-conversation.
“Cool. That sounds like a good plan,” Wyatt said, tapping his fingers on the edge of the table as he rose out of the seat and headed for the exit.
“Cool,” I whispered back, reminiscent of a certain afternoon in a certain town in California in a certain room with a certain boy that made me feel a certain way. But that was the past, and I believed I was ready for the future.
When I started seeing Wyatt Bowman, we’d established that our relationship would not be serious. We were, in a small amount of words, friends with benefits. And we were actually friends. We could hang out without getting all hot and heavy. And I didn’t have any objections; I actually preferred the idea of friends who sometimes had sex over the label-less, no strings arrangement that Elvis and I had. It left less room for loopholes of chronic insecurity and self sabotage. It also, in turn, left more room for exploration.
I met Wes Butler in August at my first ever visit to an actual bar. I'd been sitting at the counter with a few of my female friends (Ruby, Alexis, and Julia), and had just received one of the fruitiest cocktails I'd ever tasted when a piece of eye candy, who might as well have been dressed in nothing, lightly tapped my shoulder and asked me to dance. Of course the girls encouraged me, not really giving me an option in the matter, but hey, good dick was good dick. It didn’t really turn into much else; once we’d had a few rounds of unnecessarily loud sex in a supply closet (ironic, but typical), I bid goodbye to my friends, tossing my condom wrappers in the trash on the way out.
I met another guy, Walker Brooks, in September at an off-campus nerd rave. He looked a lot like Eddie Munson, which may or may not have been coincidental. We left the party not even an hour after it began to go to Walker’s dorm. We fucked in between Lord of the Rings themed bedsheets, and I had to endure an excruciating hour and a half of Walker speaking Elvish rather than English. Afterwards, he invited me to join the University of Indy D&D Club, of which he was, of course, the Dungeon Master. I politely declined.
On a particularly difficult October night following being roofied followed by some unwanted advances, I slapped myself awake with one hand as I unsteadily held my handlebars with the other, biking back to my apartment. My grip slipped, and the front wheel hit the curb, which sent the bike to come to a screeching halt and throw me over the handlebars, tumbling onto the concrete. Warren Blakely, one of my classmates in English 101, watched me fall, stopped me from biking again before I hurt myself even more, and asked me what exactly had happened. Once I told Warren what had gone down, he wouldn’t let me out of his sight. Over the next two months or so, Warren kept me safe and let me take control back over my own life. Warren and I had a special bond. If I didn’t still love Will, and if I didn’t have such extreme trust issues, I would have absolutely dated Warren if provided the chance. But I couldn’t, not until I got over Will, so I ended things with Warren. This specific relationship put things into perspective for me. In the end, none of these men I slept with would ever be Will Byers. So I'd either have to get over Will, or find someone better.
On the nights I wasn’t at parties, I was at my desk, writing letters to Will. It was kind of cathartic, honestly. I'd rip a piece of college ruled paper out of my notebook, just like old times, and write letter after letter saying things along the lines of:
Dear Will, I’m sorry. I love you. I’m sorry that I love you. I’m sorry I did what I did to you. And I’m sorry I can’t take it back. I wish we could be best friends again. I wish we could have late night walkie conversations like we used to. I want nothing more than to play D&D in the basement with you for the rest of our lives. Love, Mike
These occasional letters became a part of my nightly routine… whenever I wasn’t too fucked up to focus my eyes on my own handwriting. And recently, it was more often than not that I couldn’t actually fall asleep without drinking. I wasn’t even of legal age yet, and wouldn’t be for another two years.
I stopped attending my classes halfway through the semester, so it wasn’t a surprise when my grades plummeted. My mailbox became inundated with letters from the registrar’s office, advising me to withdraw from the classes I was failing before the pass/fail deadline, but I couldn’t care less; so, not only did I fail out of my classes, but I couldn’t even retake the classes even if I wanted to, because my record forced me into the red zone. And the entire time, I couldn’t feel a thing.
In the end, I'd probably mess around with the person asking and say some shit like, “It’s 420:69.” I was drunk, though, so I was allowed.
I'd given up some time ago on trying to pace myself. Some kind of synth-infused rock music vibrated across the floor, and I could feel the bass reverberating in my bones, which would normally make me want to get up and dance, but I wasn’t particularly in a celebratory mood; I was only halfway through my sophomore year, and had just dropped out.
“Hey, by any chance do you know the time?” a deep voice asked, and I lifted my gaze up from my lap to a muscular brunette. I blinked a few times in an attempt to form a coherent sentence.
“I, uh– I don’t—” I stuttered, lifting my bare, watch-less wrist up to show to the guy, who merely lifted an unserious eyebrow and chuckled. He took my hand in his and let it down gently before sitting next to me on the couch.
“It’s all good, man. I was just using that as a reason to talk to you.”
I was surprised someone clocked me that quickly. But then again, I was wearing insanely tight jeans that I'd cut right above the knee paired with a floral print shirt. I wasn’t exactly being subtle. “Really?”
“Yeah, really,” the guy laughed, extending a rough, calloused hand. Did he lift weights? Or play guitar? Or both? “I’m Carter, by the way.” At least his name didn’t begin with a W. Or maybe it did, but the W was silent. Wcarter. Ouah-carter. Wah-carter. Double-you-carter. Dub-yuh-Carter. Cart… Chart… Astrological chart. I made a mental note to check my horoscope. What was I thinking about originally? I couldn’t remember.
Jesus. I was hammered.
“I’m Mike,” I replied, taking the guy’s— Carter’s— hand, but Carter didn’t shake it. He instead let our fingers intertwine, anticipatorily slow. Okay. I could be good with this.
“Do you maybe want to get out of here, Mike?” Carter asked, and I felt a blush rising to my face.
“Sure, yeah,” I breathed, and let Carter pull me up out of my sunken spot on the couch, down some hallway, and into an empty bedroom. I scoped out the place and noticed a photo of Carter with a dog framed on the desk; this was his room. I exhaled in relief. I didn’t want to have sex in someone else’s bed. Never again.
Carter pulled the door closed and locked it, turning around to face me before looking me up and down. I gulped. I hadn’t realized before, because it was so dark, but in the lamplight, Carter’s resemblance to Will was uncanny. He was a few inches shorter than me, and had a muscular build– that much I knew already. Thank god he didn’t have a bowl cut. He had a strong jawline but a subtle softness to his features. His lips were a light pink, the upper one a bit thinner than the lower one. The most similar feature they shared, though, was their bright green eyes, full of life, and something else I couldn’t name… intention? Vulnerability? Yearning?
In my inebriated state, I didn’t notice how close Carter had gotten until I felt two hands snaking their way up my shoulders and joining behind my neck, pulling me down until our lips met. I couldn’t move fast enough, lifting my shaking hands to rest on Carter’s waist, pulling him into my chest and deepening the kiss immediately. Carter was more languid in his movements, while I was more firm and calculated; this felt strangely antithetical. It probably had to do something with my increased tolerance. I knew I shouldn’t be doing this, but if there was one person who knew how to repress their feelings with a series of bad decisions, it was me. Mike Wheeler. My life was already on fire, what more could possibly happen to exacerbate the flame?
The two of us made our way over to Carter’s bed, where we quickly undressed. Carter kissed down my body, and I ran my hands through Carter’s hair. Then he went down on me without warning.
“Ah!” I yelped in surprise, my exclamation becoming a moan almost instantaneously. This was good. This felt nice. This is exactly what I’d imagine–
“Will…”
“Excuse me?”
And with that, the night was over. Carter stopped what he was doing, got up, muttered a “fuck you,” and left without another word. I felt the world zeroing in on me. I could just picture what I’d write in my next letter:
Dear Will,
I said your name while another guy had my dick in his mouth. Do you believe me now?
Love, Mike

See and Tell, Disgu-eyes Your New See-cret
Pairing: Alastor x F!OC (Theia, The Demon of a Thousand Eyes)
Chapter Summary: The next morning, you wake with the itch in your chest even worse. Alastor is asleep beside you. You roll out of bed, wince at the surprise you find, and dress for the day. When you go to write a note for Alastor telling him you'll be with Charlie for the day, you discover Alastor's shadow. Afterwards, you head downstairs to participate in Show and Tell.
Word Count: 3.6k
Warnings: Cannibalism
The next morning, the itch in your skin above your breasts is ten-fold. You snap open your eyes, and to your surprise, find that Alastor is actually asleep, snoring in radio static. While you find this incredibly adorable, the persistent itch on your chest distracts you from enjoying the sight of him cradling a pillow and his sleep-tousled hair. You sit up and pull back your night dress.
You groan.
There, on your chest above your breasts where the itch persisted, is another eye. You blink, and just like always, it too, blinks. You pull off your night dress and slip into your day one quietly, shaping it to avoid the new one you’ve acquired. Number thirty. You think to yourself. Is it really my—? You cut yourself off before you finish the thought. It must be. I wouldn’t have another if it wasn’t.
You sigh and go to the mirror in his room. There’s no way that I’m going to be able to hide this. It’s inevitable that everyone will notice. If only I could change its pattern, you think as you hold your dress in your hands, turning the fabric this way and that. Something splendid and mesmerizing and covered in eyes. Something that would turn heads so no one would see the new addition to my skin. Something like…you imagine one of the other options you’d considered when you’d purchased this dress. That one, you think, That one was stunning. The dress itself was a sunny yellow, and the eyes grew like blooms on a plant, spreading out like leaves.
You blink, and the dress has changed into the exact design you’d remembered. Well at least one good came of this day. You decide, and you shape your new dress to something flashy and fun, an asymmetrical hemline, high in front and lower in the back, to just above floor-length. You go scoop-neck to accommodate your new addition, and let the sleeves split and hang from the shoulders, loose, so they’ll billow about you should you go outside in the breeze. It’s exactly as eye-catching as you’d hoped. No one will even notice, or at least you hope they won’t.
You go into his living room and into the study to pull out a sheet of paper and a pen. There, you find Alastor’s shadow. They appeared to have been distracted, until you arrived. “Oh, pardon me.” You say with a soft smile. “I didn’t realize you’d be in here.”
“It is no concern, my lady. Think nothing of it. I can leave you be, if that is what you wish.” They seem to be uncertain.
You take a step closer to them. “You don’t need to be worried. I know. Al told me. It’s alright that you’ve taken a liking to me. You are a part of him, after all.”
When they’re close enough, they notice. “My lady, are you aware that you have acquired another eye?”
You nod. “I am well aware, yes. It always itches when it happens. I should have known this was coming. Can view…not tell Al, at least not yet? I’m not ready for him to see. I promise I’m not trying to hide it, at least not forever. That would be impossible.” You hesitantly chuckle. “It’s a part of me. He’s compound to notice.” You sigh as you set the pen and paper down on the desk, then turn back to look at them. “Fuck. What am I going to do?”
“I do not understand why you worry, Iris. Alastor will take care of you. He will accept you as you are, with no hesitation, even with a new eye on your skin.” The shadow, who you realize you still haven’t named, tilts their head at you.
“I know that,” You concede, yet still wary. “It’s just…seeing it always upsets me when it happens. I need some time to process. I’ll be ready to explain it to him later.”
“It pains me that you feel the need to keep it from him at all but I will do as you request, my lady. I will hold off from discussing it with him until you have deemed it time to do so, or unless it comes to light that you may be at risk of harm.” They decide.
You want to hug them. “Thank you, Ombre.” You tell them, and they are confused for a moment, then delighted.
“Ombre?” they ask, curiously, “Is this what you have decided to call me?”
You nod. “It means ‘shadow.’ It seemed fitting.”
“May I touch you, my lady?” Ombre asks, and you nod.
“Yes, Ombre. Come here.” You open your arms for them, and they embrace you. It’s odd, feeling a semi-translucent, semi-permeable being wrap you in their embrace, but it’s soothing, and you feel just as at home in their arms as you do with their counterpart. You tilt your head up, and they capture your lips in a kiss. You sigh into it, and hum. It’s even odder, kissing a shadow. You don’t really need to breathe since it doesn’t constrict your airway. You feel as if you could kiss them like this for hours. You relax into their arms. “I still need to write that note,” You tell them reluctantly, and they unwrap themselves from you so you can do so. When you finish, you say, “I’m going to spend time with the other residents of the hotel today, to give myself some time before I talk to Al. When he asks after me, reassure him that I look forward to seeing him later, and that I love both of you very much.”
Ombre looks at you in surprise. “My lady…loves me?”
“Of course I do, Ombre. As I said, I love Al. You are an extension of him. I love you too.”
If shadows could weep, you wouldn’t be surprised if Ombre would. They embrace you again, pull you in for a passionate kiss. “I love you, my lady.”
“I love you, Ombre.” You tell them when they pull away from your lips.
While you bring the note to Alastor’s bedside and set it next to the poster, Ombre goes and makes you coffee. You hum quietly to yourself, slip on the belt with your knife, then take the mug. The eyeballs they added stare at you from the cup. You take a sip and smile to yourself. “Thank you, Ombre.” You tell them happily. “I’ll be going now. I’ll see you later, little shadow.”
“Have a good day with the residents, my lady. I look forward to spending more time with you.” They say with a bow.
You exit Alastor’s rooms with far more pep than you’d anticipated this morning. There’s nothing like kissing someone you love, a cup of coffee with eyeballs, and a practically brand new dress to turn things around.
Everyone else is in the lobby when you arrive, despite the early hour. Apparently everyone was eager to start their Show and Tell projects. “Good morning, everyone!”
“Damn, Occhi, like the new dress! When did yah buy tha’?” Angel calls from where he’s sprawled across the couch.
“Oh it’s the same dress!” You exclaim, delighted at the attention for the new fabric design, and not the new eye very visible on your chest. You twirl as you reach the bottom of the stairs, showing it off to them. “I learned this morning that I can change the fabric design to anything I want! It’s the perfect dress now.”
“Wait. So every dress you’ve been wearing…” Vaggie starts.
“...is the same dress?” Charlie finishes, surprised.
“I jus’ thought you had a strange fixation with wearin’ the same pattern on every dress.” Husk concedes and you laugh.
You shake your head. “Says the cat who never wears shirts anymore.” You pull on the collar and the dress changes so it lowers in the back and the sleeves, still loose and slit up the sides, meet at the wrists so when you bend your arms, your elbows stick through. “It’s magic. I had it ordered from Envy nearly two decades ago. It has a self-cleaning charm built into it and everything. It can be any length, any shape, and now, any pattern. The perfect dress. I can also shape it into pants if I want.” You grin. “The patterns don’t have to be eyes of course. I just happen to like them.”
“That’s an incredible feat of ingenuity and innovation!” Sir Pentious declares, impressed. “Was this the item you’d planned for your Show and Tell?”
You chuckle. “No, actually. I had no idea that I would be able to change it this morning. I was actually going to show off my knife.”
Angel laughs. “So we’s can hear ‘bout the foreplay yous two performed ‘fore you woke us all up with the wild romp yous two had aftah?” He grins wickedly at you. “Don’ know if you wanna share all that to the room, Occhi. Not that you gotta choice latah with me.”
You flush. “Okay, um, lens count the dress as my Show and Tell then.” You decide.
Angel laughs harder, as Charlie asks, ‘Alright, since we’ve started, who wants to go next?”
Niffty, who’s sitting on the coffee table, waves her hands wildly in the air. “Me! Me!” She exclaims excitedly. “I’m next!”
Charlie, seeing no one else interested, says, “Alright, Niffty, go ahead.”
You take a seat in the unoccupied chair.
Niffty jumps up, runs out of the room, and then, mere seconds later, hops back up onto the table. She’s holding a shadow box frame. She slowly turns for everyone to see as she explains, “This is a mother bug I keep pinned under glass. It’s to remind the babies I’m coming for them.”
Charlie looks slightly nauseous.
Vaggie looks irritated.
Sir Pentious looks bewildered.
Husk looks bored, staring into the bottle in his hand.
Angel looks unenthused, staring at his phone.
You clap proudly. “May I see up it close, Niff?” You ask she turns your way.
Niffty nods excitedly, hops off the table, and jumps into your lap. She shows you her shadow box proudly. You look closely at the painstaking care she took in pinning this roach. This was not the ravings of a madwoman, not by far. This was cold and calculated, deliberate. “I love the detail you’ve put into this, Niff. It’s exquisite.”
She grins up at you. “I knew you’d like it!”
“Alright,” Charlie says as Niffty runs off to put her shadow box back. By the time Charlie continues, Niffty has returned to your lap again. “Who’d like to go next?”
When no one volunteers, Vaggie sighs. “I guess I’ll go.” She pulls out a drawing. It’s clearly done by Charlie’s hand, you notice. It’s of the two of them. It’s not professional quality by any means, but it’s made with love. “Charlie drew this for me. It means the world to me.”
She says simply and Charlie gets teary eyed, wraps her arms around Vaggie, and sniffles into her shoulder. “Oh, Vaggie.”
Vaggie wraps her arms around Charlie and runs her hand down her hair and then to her back. “Shh, babe, if I’d known it would get you so emotional, I would’ve just gone with my spear.”
“I’ll be alright,” Charlie says with one last sniffle before she composes herself. “Okay, who’s next?”
Husk shrugs. “I guess I will.” He stands and goes over to and behind the bar. When he returns, he has a box of cards in his hands. “These are my favorite deck of magic cards. They won’t work well for playing a game, because of a few special features, but they shuffle like a dream.” He takes them out of the box, sets it on the table where Niffty was sitting earlier, and fans them out for you all to see. It appears to be a relatively average deck of cards, but of course, as a magic deck, looks are often deceiving. “Would anyone care to see a trick?”
“‘Course, baby,” Angel purrs. “I’d love to see you work your magic.”
Husk grunts out, “Keep it to yourself, or I’ll change my mind.”
“I love a good illusion.” You tell him. “I’d be delighted to see one.”
“We’ll do something simple, then, since I’m so out of practice.” Husk says then. “Alright, who would like to cut the deck for me?”
Vaggie volunteers. “I’ll do it.”
“Sounds good.” Husk decides, and sets the deck on the table before her. “Cut it into two piles and leave them next to each other.”
She does so, cleanly in half, and then sets the one next to it.
“Alright, so, we all know what’s in a standard deck of cards, right? This deck also follows that rule. He kneels in front of the table, but everyone is far enough back that they can all see what his hands are doing. “So, to recap, how many cards are in a deck?”
“Fifty-two.” Charlie replies easily, smiling brightly.
“Right, fifty-two.” He nods. “How many suits?”
“Four.” Sir Pentious replies, uncertain of where this trick is going.
“Yeah,” Husk replies, then continues, “What are they?”
Niffty pipes up from your lap, “Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades!” You’re surprised that Niffty hasn’t seen the new eye on your chest given her close proximity, but perhaps she’s been so entertained by everyone today that she just hasn’t noticed. Or maybe she is just too polite to speak anything of it in front of everyone. Either way you’re grateful she hasn’t mentioned it.
He nods. “That’s right, Niff. What about the types of cards? How many of those are there?” Husk asks as he criss crosses the deck’s cut.
“Thirteen.” You reply easily.
“Yes, Thirteen.” Husk nods again. “What are they?”
“Two through ten, Ace, King, Queen, Jack. Can we get to dah trick, Husk?” Angel half snarks as his frowns down at his phone. You frown a little too. Tino better not being a bitch again or so help me I will end him.
“So here’s the trick.” He says as he gestures down at the deck. “I will pull out all four cards of whatever type of card you have chosen by the manner in which Vaggie just split the deck.”
He picks up the top card of the stack and reveals the card on the top of the pile. It’s a ten of hearts.
“Ten? Easy.” He smirks, then puts the deck behind his back. In mere moments, he brings it forward again. “Alright, I think I’ve got it. So first, of course, we’ve got the ten of hearts.” He picks it off the top of the stack and sets it on the table. “I had a bit of time, so I grabbed the ten of clubs.” He picks it up next off the stack, and sets it onto the table beside the ten of hearts. “I realized as I grabbed the ten of clubs that I had a bit more time, so I grabbed the ten of diamonds.” He peels it off the deck next and sets it next to the ten of clubs. “And lastly, as I grabbed the ten of diamonds, I realized I had some even more time, so I grabbed the ten of spades.” He peels it off the deck next, then fans the rest of the deck next to it, face up, to show all the other suit cards from the rest of the fifty-two card pack.
Jaws drop in the room. “How did you do that?” Charlie asks, impressed.
Husk shrugs. “Magicians never reveal their secrets. You know this.”
You laugh and clap. It’s a pretty basic trick, but it’s impressive the amount of ease with which he performed it. You’re impressed. “A stripper deck is a pretty basic one, Husk.” You raise an eyebrow at him. “Why is this one your favorite?”
Angel cackles from his place on the couch. “’s called a strippah deck? Yah got somethin’ you wanna say, Husky?”
Husk scowls at Angel, “I prefer to call it a wizard deck, dipshit.” Then he turns to you, eyebrow raised. “Someone knows a bit of her own ‘bout magic, does she?”
You shrug. “My brother went through a phase when we were kids. That still doesn’t answer my question though. Why does this one in particular interest you? There are so many wilder deck builds for an illusionist you could have chosen.”
“Other than the simplicity of it?” He asks as he holds it up, shuffles it again. The cards are simple, innocuous. To an untrained eye at a great enough distance, it is impossible to tell that there is anything different about them from the average branded deck of cards. “Firs’ thing I bought in Hell. Had to make a livin’ somehow. Street magic has always made sense. Figured someone migh’ take an interest.”
You smile at him, genuinely. “Thank you for sharing that, Husk.”
He shrugs. “‘s nothin’.”
“It’s not nothing!” Niffty exclaims excitedly from her spot on your lap. “It’s magic!”
He lets out a surprised chuckle. “Thanks, Niff.”
“Yes, thank you Husk, for showing us something so valuable to you.” Charlie says with a bright smile on her face, “Alright, Sir Pentious, Angel, and myself still haven’t gone. Which of you would like to go next? Or should I?”
Angel smirks. “I’m goin’ las’.” He flicks his hair back and poses from his spot on the couch as Husk rolls his eyes and goes back to the bar to put the deck of cards away, then decides to stay back and clean glasses instead. “I’m gonna blow the rest of yous outta the watah.”
Charlie winces. “I mean, it’s not really a competition, Angel, but if you want to go last you can. So, Sir Pentious, would you like to go first, or would you like me to?”
Pentious thinks for a moment and then decides, “I would be honored if you would go first, Charlie.”
She smiles. “How kind of you, Sir Pentious!” She reaches behind her chair to pull out a small, ornate wooden box. It’s white with red details. She spins a winding key for a bit and opens the lid. As it opens, a song begins. It’s soothing and playful. The melody reminds you of childhood, but not your own, just the idea of what a childhood is supposed to be. In the inside of the box, two larger ducks swim with a smaller one on a small pond covered in lily pads and lilies. The lilies are blood red, like the ones here in Hell. The largest duck looks like her mother, Lilith, complete with her horns and everything, the \smaller but fully grown duck looks like her father, Lucifer, with his top hat and rosy cheeks, and the smallest duck looks like Charlie, her own rosy cheeks to match. It’s both beautiful and a little sad.
“It’s so adorable.” You smile at her.
“Thank you, Theia.” She says with a soft, almost sad smile. “My dad made this for me when I was very little. I play it when I miss him and mom. We used to be so close, but it’s been years since I’ve seen either of them. I’m glad to have you all to keep me company. It’s been lonely without them.” She sits down, closes the music box, and falls into Vaggie’s arms.
“Of course, hun,” Vaggie replies as she holds a suddenly crying Charlie. “We care about you. We’ll always be here for you when you need it.”
Charlie takes a deep breath again, wipes her tears, and turns to Sir Pentious. “Ready, Pentious?”
Sir Pentious nods, stands, and slithers out of the room for a moment before he wheels in a new contraption under a sheet. He whips the sheet off to reveal…a strikingly familiar contraption. “It’s the Skin Flayer 12,000!”
Vaggie glares. ‘I said no more weapons in the hotel!”
Sir Pentious shakes his head. “While this looks and sounds like a weapon, it is in fact a very valuable defensive device. It is a warning sign to all those who might intend to do us harm.”
You roll the eyes on your face at him. “So it’s a weapon that doesn’t work that you’ve given a slightly different name. Lame, Pen. You can do better than that for Show and Tell.”
He sighs. “Alright, I may have something else.” He waves at his egg bois, who wheel away the defunct machine. “This,” he says as he pulls something small and round out of his pocket, “Is a piece of my laboratory back when I was alive. It is from the tower where I worked, one of the many gears that kept the clock running. It is the only piece that remains of my life.”
“Wow, what an insightful and beautiful choice!” Charlie claps her hands.
Niffty looks downtrodden. “Not a bad boy, again.”
You pat her head. “There are plenty of other bad boys down here, Niffty. You can let this one go.”
“I’ll always have Sir!” She brightens.
You nod. “That you will, Niff. That you will.” And apparently, so will I. Your heart is both fond and a little uncomfortable at the knowledge that you left him with a note and a slip out of the door, due to the unfortunate but not unexpected turn of events this morning at the appearance of another eye on your skin. He deserves an explanation and an apology for avoiding him. You think to yourself as Angel stands up and walks over to the TV. I just wish today had come later. It never does, of course. Eventually, it will always be my birthday again.
A/N: Happy Birthday, Iris!
This was a chapter I have been eye-ing to post about for some time! I'd known since the very beginning that I wanted this little detail to happen, and now it's finally here!
The pattern Theia changes her dress is on a website called: spoonflower.com This pattern is called 'it always feels like somebody's watching me'. They have a lot of great eye patterns I plan to use! Link
Chapter 25 will be the rest of Show and Tell and Angel leaving for the studio.

[ID: A poem.
How to stop feeling alone.
1. Call your mom. Tell her you’re sorry, lie if you have to; you have to listen to her breathe and ask what she’s eating tonight. Tell her you grew up too fast and she looks so small now, tell her she should be sorry (you probably don’t have to lie) and if she still won’t say your name out loud or if she never remembers what you remember or sounds like an automated pre-recorded voicemail occupied line out-of-space tune, I am sorry.
2. Meet your grandfather at a park. It’s spring. If you don’t have a grandfather and can’t use a Ouija board safely, meet your ex-boyfriend’s grandfather, or, your coworker’s grandfather, any grandfather that lives near the sea and has a painting of a sailing ship in his living room will do. Ask him to teach you about knots and learn every way his skin is thinner than yours; the veins blue all over like the ocean’s claimed him already, how soft and fragile the back of his hands, maps and rivers. Ask him about his dog, who died before you were born. Write a good speech for his funeral. Again, I’m sorry.
3. Cry on the bench you met with the grandfather that might or might not have been yours to cry. You don’t have pictures of him so you have to draw him. If you can’t draw, write him; write a thousand poems about grief and loneliness and old age and post them online because sad poetry’s definitely engaging, right? Hearts that bleed seawater in pixels like idiots and no one answering the call — listen to me. The only good place to cry in public is a women’s bathroom in a nightclub around 2AM.
4. Call your mom again. Leave a message pacing in your room, tell her everything, absolutely everything, that the poems didn’t work and that you hate that you were foolish enough to hope they would, that you miss her — that you miss everything she could have been for you. Just for you.
5. Ask your friends for help. Help is something you deeply need yet you don’t have the vocabulary to make your request intelligible, like a baby crying — something is terribly wrong and mama’s starting to feel the edges of a headache piercing her skull inch by inch. Maybe if you’d stuck with the poetry — Now why are you alone in the first place? Surely it wasn’t always like that. Surely there was a time you were so smothered with love you didn’t even know what loveless air tastes like on the back of your throat, so what happened? What did you do? The hands on your shoulders, did you run away from them? did you push them away? did you say something like “you wouldn’t get it” when you were thirteen and your sister was ten? Oh, angel. Did you ever apologize?
6. Okay. Bring an offering. Come up to your friend’s apartment with a cake, poorly decorated, in the elevator mirror make sure to arrange yourself so that your hair falls right, soft bangs hiding the desperation in your brows but not your eyes kiss their cheeks at the door: “hey how are you?” “I brought a cake!” you conveniently don’t have to answer the question and I am sorry to say you Fucked Up Big Time. Watch how they eat and feast on their smiles and praises, etch their indulgent chuckle at your terrible icing skills in your brain, it feels good, so good, and now every time you come up empty-handed you will miss that and why are they even letting you in when you didn’t bring anything to the table? You sip the tea their offer with guilt and everything tastes like ashes. You can’t burden them with that, of course, so you grow silent and coil around yourself and if they ask how you are you can’t even say you brought a cake.
I have a feeling this is not working. Are you sure you’re trying? Maybe you just weren’t meant to be loved. You sure don’t make it easy. Maybe you’re alone because you have to be.
7. Laugh. Now.
8. Write another poem. If you’re sad enough, maybe it will be good enough. Force your very soul into a mold of words and verses and relish in the agony that comes from being bent and squeezed and embraced at last by a sweater-shaped casket. This is you. People like it, and they are too late; now you want to be left alone and isn’t your pain what attracted them about you? Resent them, resent everything you make them stand for in your head, hate a single person like you hate every single person that came before them: your seventh-grade history teacher your first best friend Sigmund Freud your mom all of them in one fell sweep.
9. When you run out of hate, choose one single person to hate less than the rest of them make sure they know how special that makes them. Take every gram of love they can produce, and keep it be their teacher and make them unlearn love for everything that isn’t you or like you. When they are materially as alone as you feel and still smile at you hate them with all you have, because they have a reason; and you still don’t. You’ve been their dragon, who’s yours? Yourself? Me? I’ve been talking you through this because you asked me to, you could’ve just stopped reading, and what else do you have? Blame your mother because you hate Freud but you hate your mother more, also, Freud can’t watch you kill your father and ask “is this my fault?” Freud won’t cry when you look her in the eyes and say “yes.”
10. Buy a self-help book! They are more thorough than this, how to stop being the dragon in seven steps, how to kill a dragon, how to find a hibernating dragon and slaughter it in its sleep, how to convince your village that the man you slaughtered was a dragon, how to be a man. “Man” here is not a gender; it’s a status you achieve by hating enough people, hating the right people. The main two ingredients for “Man” are power and hatred. “power” is money “hatred” is fear with a sword. To be Man you must hate everything that is not Man — White is Man Strong is Man Rich is Man Hero is Man Spring is NOT Man Pills is NOT Man Help is NOT Man Scared is NOT Man To be Man the first thing to hate is yourself, but I think you’ve got that one covered.
11. Fuck the squires, Marry the princess, Kill the dragons. How did we get there? You’re way too old to believe in fairy tales and this metaphor is out of touch with everything around you. You’re not a hero, you’re not a dragon, you’re not a princess. You’re a baby and everyone knows it takes a village. Start over. Call your mom. Of course she’s not enough. Nobody is a village. Look.
12. Be weak and don’t die. Sorry for tossing you around like that. It’s that you remind me of me. Everybody in the world reminds me of me. I don’t have the cure for loneliness and there isn’t one because loneliness, like many pains, is just information. It’s a signal. There’s nothing you can achieve that will rid you of feeling alone. That’s other people’s job. I’m sorry but there’s no other way to do this, you gotta get okay with your own dependence on other people. You’ve never been alone a single day in your entire life. Read your poems to your friends. See them misunderstand. Try to explain, and understand this will never be enough; Realize they are not enough. Realize you are not enough. Realize no one should ask you to be.
13. Count aloud from one to ten. Nothing happens.

Okay it should say 2024. We're in 2024. I know that. Of course I know that.
