I’ve finished reading all the issues!
I love them SO SO MUCH! They’re so hilarious I practically could not stop laughing the entire time 🤣 The writing is immaculate and is very Sonic Boom coded…especially with the unruly amount of fourth wall breaking.
Everyone is just so sassy and silly and cute it makes me love this spin-off even more! 💛💙🩷❤️

i hate house md because immediately in s2 they’re like. i know the patient is flatlining right now. but here’s house and wilson fighting in the middle of the street like they’re in a mid budget rom com talking about how they need each other. this definitely won’t look gay at all out of context 😃

like. imagine just walking home after a long days work and seeing your cunty neighbor fighting ‘how to lose a guy in 10 days’ style with his boy best friend in front of your door bruh.

In episode 1, when Daniele and Andrea talk near the staircase and Daniele mentions that he was gonna go get some ice... For me, that was a clear invitation for Andrea to accompany him so that they could spend some time together and talk about things. Away from the eyes of their friends and acquintances.
Tumblr media
The look he gives Andrea while saying this and then he asks him what he was gonna do, he clearly wanted to be with Andrea. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that he would rather spend some time with Andrea than at that stupid party.
Which is why I think, he got really happy when he saw "who he thought was Andrea" at the gas station. He was happy, smiling with the hope that Andrea followed him out and they were gonna be with each other.

Might be blasphemy within the Danny Phantom fandom but I just cannot see Danny x Sam being an actual ship regardless of it being canon in the actual show and now book.
Even as a kid I thought it was weird and couldn’t figure out why that bothered me, and I think now it’s because I never saw any indication of Sam or Danny ever being actually romantically attracted with each other. To be fair I saw that show when I was little, and maybe I’ll see those romantic moments that the show was building to if I can find actual length videos of the episodes.
But at this moment, I can’t recall ever having seen it.
And it baffles me, because I kinda don’t feel like Sam really loved Danny, even as a friend. And I think that really showed in the episode with her wish that changed the structure of time and space so that Danny never died and she was never friends with Danny and Tucker.
If she loved Danny, regardless if it was as a potential lover or friend, she would never have allowed him to die. Not once, but twice.
The first, okay, it was an accident. Kids do dumb things all the time, the more potentially dangerous it is the better — but the second time? The second time was deliberate.
She put him into that suit, without explanation, and without assurance. Nothing but a change of his hero signature.
She didn’t hesitate to let him die again, instead of asking herself if she could stomach watching him go through that again.
What person who loved you could do that to you? Could stand to see you go through that pain?
I feel a good example of love as well, especially in the show, is Jazz. She loves Danny, as a sibling, as a friend, and with all that love she would choose to walk herself into that portal then to let Danny do it instead.
She shows that deep love for Danny to the audience by choosing to protect him from their parents so they would never know he is the ghost boy that they want to rip apart molecule by molecule because she doesn’t want to take the chance of loosing him twice.
Jazz wanted to do that.
So why couldn’t Sam?

This pic is literally the foundation for all of my Wu and Lloyd headcannons and fics (ideas)
Them and their bond are so very special to me. Wu as the father figure. He literally loves Lloyd like a son. Just them

Gonna hold off on continuing the story until I have more done, but here's some historical Vatore gameplay as a little treat. 🤭

As much as I want True Believer Jace to be real I do believe his biggest crime in the eyes of Brennan is probably being kinda complacent and cowardly. I’m very convinced the explanation for why he’s team Porter is going to be very underwhelming and mundane. However, this too is yuri. The mundanity of the very probable “I got strong-armed into it and was afraid of oblivion” is not enough to dissuade me and in fact not to be real for a minute but being given a sense of purpose and hierarchy is a big reason many people turn to religion in the first place because it soothes them of uncertainty even if the the hierarchy fucks them personally over. Jace kinda got Fantasy Pascal’s Wagered into being a believer whether he likes it or not & is that not toxic old man yaoi in its own way
Come with me. Hold my hand. This isn’t the first time I’ve romanticized the “aimless undisciplined person looking for purpose idolizes the person so single-minded in their aims it’s awe-inspiring and terrifying and enviable” dynamic and it won’t be the last

I've seen a lot of discourse about Virginia Kull's portrayal of Sally Jackson in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series, and I'd like to say that I loved her. Don't get me wrong. I love Sally from the original book series, and I, too, would fight the God of War on her behalf. But something that I enjoyed about Virginia's portrayal of Sally that we don't get in the books is the character depth. We don't hear much of Sally's backstory in the TV series, apart from a couple of flashbacks with younger Percy and that scene with Poseidon (Toby Stephens). However, those scenes do an excellent job of showing us that alongside being Percy's mother, Sally is also a young woman who fell in love with a man she could not be with and is enduring the natural consequences of having Percy. She struggles to communicate with him when she's frustrated, gets teary-eyed when she lies to him to prolong the inevitable, and actively sacrifices her happiness to ensure his safety. Virginia Kull's portrayal of Sally Jackson reinforces the character's humanity, imperfections, and determination, and it's everything to me.

something that i find really sad about modern takes on tos characters is that a potentially incredibly interesting character gets left out a lot—janice rand. i remember first watching the first season and getting two distinct impressions: a) yes, this is clearly the obligatory love interest/damsel in distress archetype and thus written with 60s-typical sexism and b) she doesn’t deserve any of the shit that gets thrown at her
like, among the three principal female characters (rand, uhura, chapel), her development was the most focused on sexual appeal and romantic subplots, but sixty years later, she just comes off as a person who does her job while remaining professional and really just wants to be left alone from drama
and i get that the fact that her appearances stop after the first season due to behind-the-scenes events and thus she has a lower profile in the cultural subconscious, but if strange new worlds can take a discarded pilot and a two-parter episode and spin a couple of seasons worth of content around that… come on. let’s get a janice rand who isn’t defined by her distress, who gets to be fun and bright and have shenanigans while kicking ass at her job, who hosts girls’ nights for all the ladies on the enterprise, who has romances without having to sacrifice fulfilling friendships… like it’s about time we had that

Fandom Gripe #23: I know that fandom is in some deep denial about its treatment of female characters that are canonically involved with fan favorite m/m ships, but do y’all realize that when you disappear female characters from the narrative wholesale to push the idea that your canonically straight fav was “secretly gay all along!” you’re making several bad implications? That 1) bi men don’t exist, 2) bi men do exist, but those who have genuinely loved a woman before cannot genuinely love a man after that (therefore bi men don’t exist in practice), 3) women cannot inspire genuine love and devotion in men, therefore any relationship with a woman is “lesser” than the one they later have a man (see previous parenthesis), or 4) to acknowledge the existence of a lovable woman who isn’t a terrible person, where if a relationship previously existed, it did not end because of “incompatibility,” is enough to destabilize the present relationship between two queer men?
Because why is the tgcf fandom allergic to acknowledging that He Xuan had a whole ass fiancée that he loved? Why does no one ever seem to remember that the kidnappings and murders of He Xuan’s sister and fiancée were the final straws that sent him on his rampage, and he still keeps a shrine to them in the present-day of the story? Why is her entire existence and significance to He Xuan as a man, character, and to his character arc disappeared in favor of pushing Shi Qingxuan—the brother of the man responsible for his fiancée’s death—into that same role, as if to say that her impact on He Xuan is significant... just not when it's from her? Why does He Xuan’s life in fandom essentially begin not just after her death but because of it?
