#I am so old to this game

Every few years or so I go "ooooh they added what to minecraft?" and then reinstall it, start a server in which I immediately get lost after I build a first house, build a second one, adopt at least one pet and then lose everything while exploring because I have no idea how the new stuff added since I last played works. I may drop into a friends' server, build a thing or two using the materials they collected and stop playing. Rince and repeat. So of course I saw a few things about recent updates, got excited and installed it again. Thinking myself smart, I went "no no I'll just do it in CREATIVE, no dying I can see the new stuff safely ! I will learn so much !" ... You know what I learned? It turns out that while yes I can use the pretty blocks to build cute stuff, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MOST OF WHAT I USE IS NOR HOW TO GET IT NORMALLY. I checked and last time I kinda knew how the game works they were teasing the parrots. IN 2017. I BARELY KNOW WHAT THE GREY GUYS IN THEIR TOWER DO (I remember they're bad but don't remember their behaviors). THERE ARE SO MANY COLORS. SO MANY WOODS. FROGLIGHTS ??? WHAT EVEN ARE HALF THOSE BLOCKS ???? HOW DO I GET THEM IN SURVIVAL ??????? I will die so many death if I don't give myself god powers, this is a terrifying world of new possibilities I didn't foresee.

Mild rant from me about Hans Zimmer's involvement in Dragon Age:

I just think it's such sellout behavior to hire expensive movie composers (Zimmer is also known to be a transphobic asshole lol) known for their blockbuster soundtracks for your game when you already had the most iconic soundtrack ever for the previous installment, except the composer was lesser known.

Most people hear the swell of violins and immediately think it must be the best soundtrack ever, but if I am really honest, the DATV soundtrack so far sounds like the most generic slopfest with the laziest leitmotif I had the misfortune to hear in a long while.

Hiring people for their name alone is something I find incredibly shameful. Like I cannot even put into words how nasty it is in my eyes, because it actively takes away from lesser known creatives in the industry who could have made a name for themselves. And it doesn't matter to me if Zimmer only did the Main Theme or whatever, because in that case, it shouldn't be his name that is plastered everywhere but Balfe's! But everyone is talking about Zimmer anyway for exactly the reasons I already mentioned.

Even just the thought of how expensive this endeavor must have been... That money could have gone to other, more important places, easily. It makes the layoffs also that much more bitter in my eyes. Idk. I adore Dragon Age and I am still a huge fan and I will play it, but stuff like that make me angry. I don't need some Zimmer who has been sitting his ass on his laurels from 10 years ago in my franchise. I'd rather have a no name person, or Trevor Morris, to get a chance again.

Born from the 3rd Circle of Hell, Gluttony, same as his track, “Eat Your Young”, Hozier examines excessive mess and overindulgence, similiar to Dante’s depiction of gluttony where it not only refers to overconsumption of food and drink but also the overindulgence in any worldly pleasure to the detriment of spiritual growth.

having seen at least the rough outlines of all the romances now I have to say that I think emmrich's is probably objectively the best in terms of coherence and completeness of story arc (with the understanding that ultimately the 'best' romance is whichever one makes YOUR heart sing anyway so objectivity is a silly thing to claim that way, it just felt like it's the arc with the most well-paced focused content and the least dangling threads)... but lucanis' is my favourite haha. just. the whole kneeling before your beloved full of reverence but without any of the distance that usually implies??? his complete undramatic certainty and calm in every scene with rook after this, having spent the whole game caught between fear and longing???? mr. lives in a pantry but it says nothing about my psyche don't worry about it it's purely for tactical reasons that I keep myself contained in a small dark room not entirely unlike a cell, love among the parsnips -- finally coming to rook in their room and it's so comfortable and comforting???? after all the times rook supports and comforts him through the game he's finally able to return the same to them when they need it while being so calm and steady and it's so fucking sweet and feels so effortless and with no price attached?????? he basically assigns himself the role of your bodyguard and he WILL stab a god over it??????????????? the turn to protector (which was in his heart all along longing to get out and find a place) of it all????? he sounds like he's found himself unexpectedly stumbling into such a soul-lightening state of revelatory existential relief, full on 'you only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves' mary oliver style, and he goes and he shares that with rook and protectively envelops them in it when they're hurting??????????????????????????? hello for the maker's sake hello can anyone hear me?????

I've finished Armored Core VI and wow. To clarify: I can't even. Simply put, I can't express how much I love this thing without devolving into screaming and keyboard-smashing e.g. "Why am I attached to these people trying to shoot me oh my heart agghghghhhhhh speaking of - Michigan <3 <3." I'm very excited to play the sequel within the next decade.
