Suddenly, she feels a cool hand grab her chin. Not terribly forcefully, but firm. Her head is slowly lifted up and she admires the hard silver chestplate as her eyes float up to meet Shin’s face. She feels her neck extend and is vaguely aware of how vulnerable her throat is so close to Shin’s hand.

Finally, they lock eyes. Sabine watches those cool blue eyes search her face, flitting from her eyes to her lips. She suppresses a shiver at the indifference in her gaze, feeling simultaneously hated and lusted after."
