After finishing the more complex artworks (that I want to post properly tomorrow) the impostor syndrome nagged at my brain and AGH. SO! I did these to shake that feeling and be proud of my chicken-scratched doodles and I ENJOYED IT A TON! I saw an interesting post a while back that said “Capcom made us [Miles and Diego/Godot] only have like two(?) interactions because they knew we would be unstoppable with a brother dynamic” and tbh it stuck with me bc it was intriguing.

So yeah that potential brotherhood, but that Godot/Diego AU I made (that I still need a name for)

Also I bet Gregory Edgeworth would have smelled like a bit like coffee, and so Diego just reminds Miles of that comforting presence 😭 (the von Karma estate was a tea household, so he didn’t smell much coffee after DL-6 and didn’t realize how much he missed it/reminded him of his father)

NEW FIC! τῆς νεώς / τήν ναῦν (MAREACH) FOR MY WONDERFUL FRIEND @poppet-seed!

This is based on Suffering - Mareach (M&LRPG: BRSH) animatic, which I was very normal and calm and collected about.

NOW, this fic may read as a little unusual. The pacing and style might seem a little strange. But there is in fact a very important reason for that - there is a secret, or "Easter Egg" if you like, buried in the story which is connected to the animatic (besides the plot itself!)

YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO FIND IT. I WILL EXPLAIN THEN IF IT'S NOT BEEN FOUND. GOOD LUCK.

(also, the title: it's "the ship / the ship" as the word is used in the actual Odyssey to refer to ships, but the first is in the genitive, which is the case employed when talking about "away", whereas the second is in the accusative, which is the case employed when talking about "towards". Yes I have to force LOTE into this or I'll simply pass away. Yes, I learned about those cases exclusively to do that title, and had to trawl thru the Odyssey to find the word because the Homeric word differs from the Ancient Greek one of πλοίον. It took me at least an hour.)

#This was really really hard and I thought it was gonna be easy.#But the concept was just so beautiful and i wanted to try and at least put in the effort that would constitute ''doing it justice''#Besides the Easter Egg whihch I've hyped up here because it's very funny to attach an image of taskmaster-#It was so fun to give it a go #And I hope the love I felt for the animatic shows in it #There is indeed a plot in that it's a fic about that scene #with my own interpretation of course #So the random Saw Trap aside I hope you like it! purple prose and all!#And it was so fun because I had to pause on every frame to study it and describe the expressions #And oohhhh my gooodness it;s so well drawn and animated

And Free! I recommend it honestly #ihnmaims #That is where this monologue comes from if you don't know #It's really great stuff #Though I listened to it like a thousand times while making this so I am a bit sick of it haha
