So, Ecosia is incorporating AI chat into their search page toolbar, like a lot of search engines are now, and we're having thoughts about it. Those thoughts mainly being "this is a bad idea that will spread misinformation more quickly, same as the other AI chats in other places do."

You can contact Ecosia through the "Contact Us" tab on their main website. Here's the message I sent them;

Hello! Unfortunately, as a longterm user of Ecosia, I think I have to step away from this search engine now. AI chat technology should not be implemented anywhere near informational search features, as AGIs are an unreliable way to retrieve facts, and often generate falsehoods in the pursuit of unique sentence structure. Incorporating this feature into or around a search engine, even just as a chat, has a great risk spreading misinformation around the internet. Many people do not understand how AGIs function and trust them in the same way that they trust general search features. Thank you for reading this email and have a good day.

It's more effective if you take my general message and write your own instead of copy-pasting, but still. Maybe we can start sending in some feedback to discourage search engines from dropping AI into their tools willy-nilly like this? Yeah.

Agnetha hurried as fast as she could in her condition (seven months along) to where she heard her husband in his bat form in his home studio. “Love, I’ll be right there!” When she entered the studio, she let out a small scream.

“I think…I overdid it…perhaps made…a terrible mistake…”

“Astarion!” She shrieked and picked him up gently in her hands. “What the—”

“You see,” he squeaked. That almost sounded like a moan. Oh dear. “I found some fat little mice and decided to take care of that rodent problem. Normally, it wouldn’t be so bad, but I…well, forgot I’m in this form. Hence, this.”

Her mouth moved for several seconds but no words escaped her. Then she nearly shouted, “How the fuck do you forget you’re a bat? How? How does that happen? That’s like if I forgot I’m pregnant. Astarion, you mad man!” She laughed and kissed his cute little head. Awww, his little ears are twitching. “You mad, mad man.”

“If I am mad, madam, I am mad about you.” He teased and doing a little bat smirk. Awwww he’s so cute I wanna squish him. Oh wait, nope. Don’t do that. “Ha! Now, I wonder what I will happen if I change back…”

She raised an eyebrow. “That is an interesting question. Do you want me to bring you to our room, put you on the bed, and then you do it?”

“Yes…let’s try, darling.”

After she placed him on his side of their bed, he changed back to his elf form---hair disheveled, expression soft, and beckoning her to lay down with him. “I think there might’ve been more mice than I thought, because I am quite full.”

It took a moment, but I am laying down…and don’t want to get up again for a bit. One of her hands reached for his and squeezed. “You didn’t have to kill the mice. I could’ve gotten poison or something—” You don’t have to do this. You don’t have to eat vermin anymore. I made sure you don’t, because I love you, and once our baby is born, you can feed from me again instead of beef and pork blood from the butcher.

He let go of her hand and put a finger to her lips. “Shh. It was my choice, darling. It makes it easier, especially for you. One less thing for you to deal with.” His hand traveled down to her belly. “You need to rest.” His gaze softened further (I can’t say no to his face. I can’t. I’m sorry but I can’t.) as he scooched closer to her. “Let’s stay here a while, sweetness. Let’s stay right here, and I’ll watch over you both. How does that sound?”

Why do I always blush so much when he uses his soft voice on me? WHY?!?!?!? I just…can’t say no to him. She closed her eyes, feeling more tired than she originally thought. “Yeah, sounds good, love. You rest too, okay?” He works long hours. He’s taken on more at home in the past month or so. He’s not getting my blood, so he’s not as satisfied as he normally is, not as sharp, and I wish I could just give him what he needs—

He chuckled. “Even without tadpoles, I can hear you thinking, darling.”

She opened an eye and pouted.

“What is going on in that pretty head of yours?”

Opening her other eye, she sighed. “I feel like if I was still feeding you then you wouldn’t have gone after the mice.” It’s stupid. It’s so stupid. But I can’t help but feel awful.

He let out an annoyed huff. “Did you not hear me earlier? I said it was easier to have me drain them dry than having you get someone in here to take care of them or getting poison or whatever you would’ve done.” His gaze went towards her swollen belly. “I made that choice. It wasn’t being forced on me, my love.”

“I know.” She reached for his chin and tilted it up so she could look at him properly. He’s so beautiful. I still can’t believe he loves me. Wants to be with me. He could’ve had anyone, and he chose me. “I love you.” She laid a hand over his. I love you. I love you. I love you.

“I love you too, my darling girl. Rest now…” Upon seeing his wife try and fail to stifle a yawn, he laughed softly and rubbed her growing belly. “My poor little butter bun.”

“Sorry love,” her brown eyes fluttered closed as she exhaled. “Now that I’m in bed I feel so tired all of a sudden…” Probably because I’m literally growing a dhampir inside me. “Probably” doing a lot of work there, Agi.

He hummed, his hand on her belly now squeezing her fingers gently. “It’s alright, sweetness. Just rest. I’ll be here when you wake—”

Naoto is also into the healing potions game along with Junpei. However, everything she makes turns out alcoholic as Sukuna-Hikona is a deity of healing and sake brewing (also hot springs, but idk how to include that)

Kanji instinctually knows when it's gonna rain.

Rise also gets magic knowledge from Himiko. If Futaba and Rise got together, they could create Haru's (Devil Survivor) sound board

Yosuke can do a really good frog impression (since Jirayah could turn into a frog) and is also really good at avoiding crowds.

Yukiko is suddenly a lot better at conflict resolution than she was before (since Konohana-Sakuya's shrine is said to prevent Mt Fuji from erupting)

They also all have the ability to speak in incredibly archaic Japanese, like SEES' ability to speak Greek (because that's really funny!).

You know what would be fun? If having a Persona leaked into the rest of your life. Well, maybe not for the users, but it would be fun for us.

In Persona 2, Reiji Kido and Kenta Yokouchi are both door-to-door salesmen who work for the same company, but Kenta is successful where Reiji is not. Kenta’s Persona Mara induces greed in customers, while Reiji’s Persona Mot induces fear.

Imagine if we saw that elsewhere. Like, what if having a Persona made you fluent in the language they’d know? (And you didn’t lose it if you got an Ultimate Persona?)

Since all the starting Personas in Persona 3 are Greek, SEES uses Ancient Greek to pass messages during the day. Sometimes at the dorm, they wind up chatting and don’t realize that they switched to Greek; this happens a few times when Ryoji is over.

Ryuji realizes that English class is suddenly a lot easier with Captain Kidd. He understands everything the teacher says! Except his teacher has no idea how to grade his essays, which appear to have been written on Talk Like A Pirate Day.

Not just language things, too. There’s some inconvenient stuff as well.

One fine spring day, Sae asks Makoto why she hasn’t cooked meat in weeks, and Makoto can��t answer. It’s only after she checks the calendar that she realizes that it’s Lent, when meat is traditionally forbidden.

It turns out that Makoto’s been subconsciously following rules laid down by the Church, because of Johanna. She doesn’t get the rules that interfere with her own set of morals, such as anything involving the subjugation of women, nor ones that are unavoidable, such as not wearing mixed fabrics, but she does wind up following the rest. When she goes grocery shopping, she doesn’t think, “I will not cook meat,” she thinks, “fish would be good for dinner.”

Yusuke can’t stand hot baths anymore, because Goemon was executed by being boiled alive. Luckily, he’s not bothered by cold anymore.

Tatsuya and Katsuya wake up at dawn every morning because of Apollo and Helios, which is good for early shifts, but they also tend to start fading after sunset. Maya, on the other hand, now has a seemingly erratic sleep schedule because the moon rises and sets at different times.

Baofu is always late because like Odysseus, something always stalls him. 

Some of the Phantom Thieves, and also Jun and Junpei, keep finding their hands in other peoples’ pockets because their Personas were pickpockets. Or they don’t notice at all and find stuff in their bags that they don’t remember buying. Yusuke finds that he keeps giving money to beggars, but it’s always money that he doesn’t remember stealing, since Goemon gave back to the poor.

But there’s fun stuff, too.

Futaba now knows dark magic. She almost makes a prototype Demon Summoning Program, but gets bored halfway through and stops. It is implied that this was divine intervention; the Nahobino is seem outside her window, sighing in relief.

Junpei starts brewing potions as energy drinks and sleep aids, since Hermes Trismegistus is an alchemist.

Jun subconsciously bends time around himself, so he’s never late, never has to wait long, and he always gets his homework and paperwork done much faster. However, he knows that his bosses usually measure work done by time spent, so he’s figured out how to work around that.

One day, the modeling company asks Ann to show off her special talent, and since ‘whip techniques’ gets vetoed, she blurts out that she sings. The manager expects some cute pop music, and is startled when she starts bellowing Italian opera.

I lost a very nice post I wrote about how much I love Rei's character, believing it was saved to drafts, but it apparently wasn't, so I'll try again: I adore Rei! She is such a good character.

There are many rivals to grumpy sort of friends and I'm weak for them every time, but Rei's so interesting because, precisely as her songs convey, while she's dressed more ~mature~ and tends to wear more revealing clothes and is definitely conveyed as the more jaded and worldly foil to Eriko, at her heart? At her heart, she's an idealist. She's just a tired, bitter, angry idealist.

She refuses to step on people on her way to the top. She's always calling out her boss (every time she calls him "tanuki-oyaji" cracks me up, although I don't recall if she's ever called him it to his face, I could just about see it!) for how he treats Eriko.

From the moment she saved Eriko's life from being run over by a car on stage, she changed her mind. Eriko's naive, yes, a child from a privileged background with a very natural talent that'd anger those who had to work so much harder to get where they are, but she has her own struggles after losing everyone and with her uncle out to kill her?! Rei's protective of her! She might not even like Eriko all that much, but she's respectful of Eriko and deeply admired and respected her late father.

You get such great lines from Eriko that even her attempts to disprove her own kindness fail, because her real motives are still so pure! "Don't get me wrong, I was only saving your life." "Don't get me wrong, I didn't do it for you, it's what your late father would have wanted."

She refused to sing in Eriko's place, despite Kousuke contriving for it to happen, because Yuusuke would have liked to see his daughter perform first. When she heard they might have someone else perform, she insisted she would, no one else will, but only if Eriko doesn't show up. They kept waiting--and Eriko showed up (pulling a very dangerous stunt and arriving via helicopter after hitching a ride on Yasuko's motorcycle and swinging over, PFFT.)

Rei sent her flowers!!!! I'm crying, these three are the cutest... this friendship is so, so, so sweet. Her signature with the cat is very interesting, it makes a good foil for Eriko (who has two dogs!) and reflects their characters well... Eriko is like a cute and very genuine, adoring puppy, while Rei is like a quiet, finicky cat, who acts proud, but loves every bit as genuinely as Eriko does. ... and Shougo knows it and will not stop teasing her about it, ffff.

Shougo teasing Rei for wanting to sing with Eriko again... all three of them are so, so, so cute. This show is so, so, so cute. Literally only the iffy fanservice (fortunately not that common for Eriko herself outside of promotional material for magazines aimed at older fans, buuuut owing to the internet, that stuff easily pops up in searches...) is the one detracting point for me, everything else is so... perfect show, I love you. I usually take forever to watch things, but I finished half this show in so few days! ;O;
