as someone who is just discovering smps with qsmp, the few I've heard about dsmp fascinated me and i need to know all the horror stories from this server. like one of those deep dive video essays that last six hours, but all about the behind the scene of dsmp and cc abandonment

im going to speak on this as someone who is now an adult who realized adults were weird to me as a minor.

the fact that dream and his fans see absolutely no issue with the fact that people were comfortable with showing porn to minors in the server and overall being inappropriate is fucking insane. "lol it was just skephalo porn" "lol tommy and tubbo were scared of minecraft characters shifting over and over again" good fucking lord get off your high horse. "minors can see porn" once again, while this is true, it is your responsibility as an ADULT not to explicitly share porn directly with them. theres a difference between a minor seeing porn online and a group of adults sharing porn around in a server when the 16 year olds could explicitly see it. i dont know why the dream smp discord didnt have an 18+ channel, but it is fucking ridiculous that they are acting like this is a non-issue. dream didnt see anything wrong with it, if he did he wouldnt of blatantly shared this information at the end of his stream for nonchalantly.

people under the age of 18 can see porn if they seek it out themselves. i know i was reading about nsfw topics when i was as young as 13, i understand minors being curious and seeking it out THEMSELVES on their own. but if you AS AN ADULT dont care enough about protecting your friends who are TEENAGERS from seeing it, the fact that people are blowing this off as a joke, then you are a fucking weird cunt. dream and whoever else on the dream smp discord involved in this do not care about their actions and dont see it as a problem. if you have a minor coming to you to tell you theyre uncomfortable with some of your behaviour, it is your job as an adult to fix yourself without making the child feel like theyre in the wrong.

going to preface this with this is a matter of my own opinion. i know theres trsmp fans here hiiii mutuals so take this with a grain of salt guyssss

i watched since day one and kept up with the server a lot so something that i immediately disliked was the actual system used to level up. i felt it was incredibly boring to watch. this is something i expressed since the first few weeks of the server as someone who was watching it consistently. it really does get boring and never gets better content wise

initially the server was advertised as being fully chill with like a minimal amount of rp, if any at all. this was expressed a lot by cc’s on day one explaining the server to people. and now its completely about rp. which is personally annoying as i was looking forward to a server where cc’s could interact and chill.

the actual rp, again, this is my opinion, is aggravating. i dont find divisions like this in servers to ever play out in a satisfying way and it always ends up with just negative feelings while watching. whether that be becoming annoyed at other teams and so forth. kinda takes away from the whimsy of watching the server when it just causes bad feelings.

now additionally to me just not liking the rp overall the whole idea of the factions event is so beyond bad. i get what tubbo and his team were going for but the weekly tasks and splitting people up just isn’t fun! and i acknowledge that for some people this is very fun! but i dont like it myself and how the factions event basically fueled this rival bit between foolish and bad and led to whatever the rp is now and all the. “sides”

more on the factions event i cannot understand why when the new players joined as red tubbo wouldve wanted all the other factions to work in unison against red. when clearly that is so so unfair towards the red faction, as new players who were completely under prepared compared to players who’ve been playing for a month now, i think the whole factions event is very stupidly planned which ig makes sense considering how fast tubbo cooked up this server. i also dont understand why tubbo would think people would work together when green and yellow were already majorly beefing. it just feels like poor planning and decision making.

now getting more meta i dont like this type of rp and factions event because have you seen the state of the fandom on here? quite literally another qsmpblr purgatory moment where everyone thinks their faction is the correct one and everyone is being passive aggressive and people are getting unnecessarily heated over minecraft again. where is the fun in that? when i started noticing this behavior i sorta stepped away from the trsmp i dont watch it daily or very much anymore. yesterday being the exception where i tuned in to tubbos stream for an hour before leaving again cause rp stuff was happening. i just despise these type of events because it takes a perfectly fine group of individuals and turns them into what i can only compare to toxic sport fans and its not nice to see or nice to read posts that are so rude. i know some people love drama and conflict and discourse in fandom but its personally not my thing.

and also every discourse that comes out of this server is so minuscule but people get so so pissed about it and its like okay please chill. calm down its not that serious. stop interpreting everything in such bad faith.

i didnt like the snails decision. which if u dont know theres admins who play snails who follow players around and can take their levels if they get too op. i was more okay with the idea when it was initially meant to be One snail following whoever had the most levels on the server. despite that being stupid it was funny so i was okay with it but then it became heres a snail for everybody. and oh look you can name them and some have accessories and this ones a butterfly now and etc etc. and i dont like that. history repeating itself and all that shit.

i dont like how the admins seemingly side with certain people and groups on the server.

i dont like how certain people keep getting nerfed and whilst i understand the reasoning it truly sucks any fun out of the server and makes it harder for the cc’s to make content they want to make on the server.

and personally i think maybe some cc’s need to have a sit down chat perhaps and discuss what is okay or not cause sometimes its evident theres a lot of miscommunication and people getting upset etc etc.

so thats my explanation. Now to be clear if roier ever got added i’d most definitely watch the server again. as is the life of a tripoier.

i do think the server has good things like the cc’s themselves especially when theyre just chilling and having a good time without the fuck ass rp.

thank you it really means a lot. ;;;; In case anyone didnt see the post I made a while back, this is the full story for clarification: This all started on April 29th when I received a DM from my co-worker Toby, saying that a Poppy Playtime fan and friend we will call Ari, who he told me was 18 and has come to know for a solid year, was set to be sedated on May 6th due to having an incurable cancer. Because of this, he wanted me to create an illustration for her before she passed which I immediately took up the offer. Now, for clarification, I don't trust what anyone says in the PPT community. I am aware of how immature and dangerous the community can be. But when it's coming from someone I know and trust, I put my trust forward on that person. I don't mess around when it comes to someone nearing their death. So I got in contact with her, made sure she saw the illustration I made for her, and for the past week after work hours, I would talk with her in VCs and chill at every chance I got to make sure she was happy and having a good time. She acted very kind and sweet to me and so many others who would join the VC as they also soon came to know of her upcoming passing as well. On Saturday, May 4th we hosted a podcast for her as a subtle final farewell to the whole server. And on Sunday evening at 5 pm, me and Toby talked with her one last time in a private vc until she had to take her final leave from Discord. At 6 pm, me and Toby stayed on call listening to the Caretaker album fully (as we both had a big fascination for The Caretaker album, Everywhere At The End Of Time) as a sort of timer to let us know when she had passed, as we knew in 6 hours she would be sedated. At 1 am on Monday morning, The album finished. We both cried so hard it gave us headaches. I only got to really know her for a short time, but at that moment, she made such an impact on me and so many others in the PPT server and community. We had made art dedicated to her and I had even laid out a post for her. Everyone was mourning over Ari’s departure and for 4 days me and Toby were a MESS of emotions of grief. That was until I received a message from Toby on Thursday, May 9th, saying he needed to speak to me urgently in call. Toby told me that he had been watching Ari's activity and found something off with it as it had recently gone active a few times. I told him that maybe it was her friend having access to her account in her passing but Toby immediately showed me proof of the activity that's been going on in another server and on her Roblox account that she had. And that's when we needed proof or confirmation. For the past 4 hours, we did our research to find leads on her. We eventually found her school which apparently confirmed that she was 14, NOT 18, and we got in contact with her parents and asked them about Ari to which they were confused about this whole thing and told us that she was here. Which CONFIRMED that she was still ALIVE. We filled in on the parents for what Ari did and she is no longer going to have access to her electronics. We were both devastated at this point and absolutely furious. Everything we did for her, and the community, was all for nothing. She used and fooled us by a means to get attention and to specifically get in contact with Toby and be forward with him as a minor. We dedicated hours and days to her, mourned and cried for her, all for it to be crumbled down into a fake death. We were beyond disappointed, me especially as I don't take kindly to this sort of thing. I don't get mad. In fact, I try to be a kind person to everyone, but the fact someone would take advantage and play death like this to us for attention is disgusting and just wrong. I have moved on from this but please don't make this a big deal. They were 14 and this will not stop me from doing what I love for the PPT community or whatnot. It's just a life lesson I will take to heart and be careful to not put my full trust in someone unless I have clarification that they are indeed going through a death-like situation like this.

IT WAS OUTSIDE THE FUCKING SERVER… IT WAS ALL IN A PRIVATE GROUP CHAT AND SOMETIMES (RARELY) DMS. everyone in the group chat was completely and 100% fine with EVERYTHING happening! everyone had said so. AITA for not liking my partners partner?

for context, i am polyamorous, as is my partner. we've been dating for a wonderful 3 years, but have been mostly long distance due to uncontrollable circumstances, and so we usually use discord to talk for ease of access. we'll call my partner dean (nb), and my partner-in-law irene (nb)

a few months ago, dean asked me if i minded if they asked irene if they wanted to go out, because its a thing in our relationship where we communicate if we'd like to see another person, and i had said i didnt mind, since i had seen the two interacting briefly before and i thought irene was nice enough

dean has this small discord server in which its me, and a few of their/our closer friends. when they started dating, they obviously added irene to the server and so i saw much more of them and what they're like. they're, like i said, nice enough and a good person to/for dean

but as the post title details, im not the hugest fan of irene. they've done literally nothing wrong for me to feel this way. they've been nothing but friendly whenever we interact, and haven't done anything for anyone to think otherwise, but i just can't stand being around them

the irrational hatred is mainly, i think, because they remind me far too much of how i was and acted years ago and it bothers me a ton. whenever irene enters a conversation i immediately want to leave it or excuse mhself from it. i feel terrible about this fact, ive never told them this and ive tried my best not to hint at it either

dean and i were having a conversation once, a decently deep one when i said i didnt really know irene well, and they suggested irene and i hang out a bit more to change that. i wasnt going to lie to dean, as that wouldve felt horrid, but i did tell them that i didnt think i would enjoy because irene isnt my, "type of person, but i like them for you!". they understood and we continued talking

i still feel really shit about thinking this way about irene, despite the fact theres basically nothing wrong with them for me to feel this way towards them
