I hate when people who have never put any effort into drawing or art tell me i'm gifted/talented at it. they often say things like "I wish I could draw/I can't even draw a straight line/I always wanted to but was never good at it"

nearly 30 years of practice and hard work with nothing to show for it is not being gifted or talented! i've always felt this way no matter what age I was

I especially think this when I see artists younger than me who have more success. they're more likely "talented" or i'd be as good and successful as them, right? be better at art than I am now with less practice and work? if I was so "talented" i'd be way better at art by now and have some kind of success, right? be able to quickly and effortlessly produce beautiful work?

I feel like art is an absolute struggle every time I do it. it doesn't come "naturally" or effortlessly. it takes me forever to finish even a simple sketch. I struggle the entire time. it's so hard. someone "talented" probably wouldn't feel this way and say art is easy. the difference between me and being "talented" is I work hard and still struggle.

1. i do actually !!!! i have a few headcanons, one being that pomni sometimes gets overstimulated because its all too much and everythingstoo loud and shes just have an awful time so she looks to ragatha for comfort just by holding her dress (shes nkt in a talking or touching mood she just wants to feel close to ragatba as it helps her), also !!! ragatha is very touch starved and she absolutely adores touching so she will jist casually always be touching pomni (like jusy holding her hand, hands on her shoulder, sitting close together so that theyre touching, stuff like that) and pomni used to always get so flustered about it but now shes used to it bjt she rarely initiates the contact (she likes to let ragatha do it or tell her to becaude .. autism .. she likes being told what to do so she can do it perfecty) i have so many mkre but just these twk for now is all i will say .. the rest i will draw or maybe write down later when i think of mkre somwtimes they jsut come to me randomly

2. you are definitely an anxiety gremlin also if my pomni reminds you of yourself like i draw her a mess !!!! like she is so fuckinh full of anxiety !!! if you look at her fucking panic whenever ragatha eeven breathes in her directikn then yes, you are an anxiety gremlin, embrace it ����💪

Hard to say how many bottles of wine the owl went through and chances were he had go for much harder after a long day dealing with the others of the ares goita. He coos happily so easily able to imagine the imo in front of himself as he happily lounges over his couch.

"I know he of a far lower status than me when it comes to the bullshit that is hells hierarchy but why should that matter? I have never and I mean never met another demon that comes even close to my dear Blitzy!" He firmly states hand in the air as he let's his talon 'draw out' the imps face that only the owl can see as he smiles happily to himself. Sighing happily as he looks to his air imagie of his Imp. "Blitz has so much mkre drive and ambition than any royal demon I have ever know included myself." He offers "and he is utterly adorable!" Stolas confesses a faint glow to his eyes as he mentions it.

"Oh and if that weren't enough?" He moves to sit up slightly swaying as he moves." He's just fun to be around. He has such a fascination for horses matches my own for plants and stars. It's adorable seeing how his face lights up over mere sight of them. He is the funniest demon I have ever met and that's not me laughing cause he's cute. I generally find him funny and don't understand how others can't?" He muses and softens his smile.

"I wish he were here now, I miss him terribly when I don't get see him. I knew I loves him fir that reason that heart tearing emotional lip ripping. That is only love funny I thought lpve was meant to only be nice but it hurts so deeply too." He wonders a moment and sighs before taking another sip of his drink. "I think I'll give him a call? thats a hard quastion but i love you for asking it ehmm its hard because i really dont know i just kind of look at art all the time and what people make and watch and experience and read stuff and 1 small piece of something inspires you until you collect enough small pieces to make 1 big thing. i get inspired by lots of stuff and tuck away whatever i like to use later or i just think alot. these days i dont really have very many OCs that are just "mine" anymore most if not all of them start off as fandom chars and i just make them more complicated until its not abt that anymore. audrey and delainey ar the only characters that i have these days that dont stem from fandom even laika actually is a fan character for my buddy henry's original universe. i like stuff i like what people make and i like that people make things and i like to dance around in them and make stuff up too YAY!

the idea for laika really only exists as it does because of the freedom of the universe theyre in, i wanted to make a character design that is complete nonsense and a premise that i like and think is fun without the restraint of grounding or rulesets, their entire being is based in "i think it would be fun if" and their design is entirely self indulgent. audrey is a different story because he is the oldest character i have and have had, he's gone through a variety of design changes and in fact did not even have a human design until i started posting him on this blog, he had existed for years and years before that. but also he is exactly like laika because he is my MOST self indulgent oc and i do whatever i want to him. having ocs is about smashing them together like barbie
