root canal complete, it only took a full blown panic attack in the chair and the ems being call on me but we got there in the end after three doses of tranquilizer👍
#all i could say was im so sorry#never had one that bad but i have extreme health anxiety that triggers spiraling thoughts like#you show me my blood pressure is like 194 sistolic im like oh. hypertensive crisis. that's stroke or heart attack territory#then i think about how my hemoglobin levels have been high which can increase risk of blood clots#so naturally when my heart kicks up and my chest squeezes i think im dying#anyway im not dying. im just anxious and stressed the fuck out#anyway the staff was incredibly kind and understanding.#they even gave me a ride home because i had to walk there... given the hold flooded neighborhood thing

before i put my foot in my mouth over the phone to the doctor i need to know if there's like. an agreed upon level of side effects you're expected to just put up with when taking longterm meds or if i have a legit grievance that is worth reassessing what i'm on because i feel like such a whiny fraud lol.....
#:)#on the life/death scale edema so bad i can't walk is infinitely more survivable than hypertension#so in a simple a/b choice between the two surely the doctor will say that it's better to swell than risk blood pressure elevation#like. will they just tell me i'm being silly and need to put my health in perspective because Feeling Okay is now permanently lost to me or#surely i should just be grateful to be alive rather than complaining because i don't feel like how i did before i got sick#feeling like i'm gonna get a bad grade in being a patient lol

Don't lower your standards, there is someone out there for everyone! It's good to open-minded as whoever you end up with probably won't be exactly how you imagined (sometimes a little different, sometimes a lot different, and sometimes for the better in ways you never imagined) but never settle for someone you know will annoy you, disrespect you or make you unhappy. That just seems like a great way to make yourself and your partner miserable in the long run. Best of luck and hope you find your person soon! (You can delete this ask once you've read it, I just wanted to give some encouragement and wish you the luck without being sappy on main.)
awww thank you so much!!! you're so right about having high standards but also being open. of course there won't be a guy who is exactly like I imagined, but indeed I will never settle for someone who makes me unhappy! happier alone than with someone who doesn't on the general make my life better!

NaClYoHo Days 23 & 24
Day 23
usual daily dishes
second doctors appointment this week
sent trial return to work forms to doctor for signing/review
called sister to check in
put in an order to take advantage of the ordinary's slowvember sale
updated Christmas shopping/budget list
Today (day 24)
usual daily dishes, laundry
threw away some expired food
threw away dead table flowers
wiped bathroom counter
moved meat from freezer to fridge so I can try to cook dinner tomorrow
I haven't felt too much more sucky than normal the last couple days, but in addition to thyroid problems and whatever undiagnosed dysautonomic problem I'm having, I also have you-feel-shitty-disease (ME/CFS), so my normal "feeling normal" is already pretty sucky. If you feel 100% normally and drop to 30%, you feel it! But if you feel 35% normally and drop to 30%, maybe it doesn't impact you as much? idk
Did lots of sleeping and resting yesterday and today, and will hopefully perk up back to normal next week to finish the month strong.
#naclyoho#salty pirate month#disabled and doing my best#national clean your home month#go get vaccinated if you can!#chronic fatigue syndrome by beloathed#after reviewing the numbers it seems that I get isolated diastolic hypertension in the range of 110!!! when I stand still. YIKES#systolic numbers are still normal to low tho#so its very strange.#upon seeing those diastolic numbers I'm interested to see what my CT scan shows when we get that far#isolated diastolic HTN is associated with higher risk of stroke#and my symptoms on the day I fainted and the next month of so after were not FAST-style stroke symptoms. but they were similar#so maybe I had a silent stroke? only the CT scan will tell#either way I'm glad that the BP numbers show something definitively off

im making this post to draw attention to the fundraiser of @wafaaresh6. this campaign has been vetted by 90-ghost here. wafaa is also the sister of @mohiy-gaza who also has been verified and confirmed that this is her account.
wafaa graduated from university and wanted to travel, work and have a chance to do many things, but the war has devastated her plans. her families house was destroyed and they've been displaced more than 10 times since then. they have no access to food, clean water or medicine and diseases are widespread. wafaa's mother suffers from hypertension, but they cant find any medication and is her condition is getting worse. the IDF has severely restricted the amount of aid that reaches gaza, and continue to send displaced people on what are essentially death marches by shrinking and changing the "safe zones".
it is hard to state how many peoples dreams, ambitions, and lives have been destroyed or cut short in just a matter of seconds. its unconscionable that anyone should have to suffer this way. to anyone reading this– especially those reading this in the comfort of their homes, in cities that are still standing– put yourself in the shoes of people who have lost everything and consider how important and life changing these donation campaigns could be.
whatever you think you would be doing during the holocaust is what you are doing right now. i think constantly about all of the refugees whos lives were saved- against all odds- through the help of many people, often anonymous strangers. this is really important and peoples lives are at risk. so please– consider gravity of this situation and help support wafaa and her family. every donation helps
€20,192 raised of €100,000

my dad's starting to come down with another sickness/infection................................
#:)#unproven but exceedingly likely that my prior covid infection was a major factor in the onset of my life threatening hypertension episode#that and maybe the Horrors putting me into an intensely distressed state that pushed me over the edge#so my dad (who brought in the covid infection that maybe almost killed me) coming down with very similar symptoms again is. worrisome!#extremely high doses of blood pressure medication save me.....save me extremely high doses of blood pressure medication.........#on account of the meds and also the fact i gotta have 3x daily blood pressure readings means that what happened shouldn't happen again#but still. i literally almost died less than three weeks ago. the thought of facing one of the risk factors this soon scares me a little!

Well it doesn’t matter if being fat has “health risks” because I’ve decided never to see a doctor again so nobody can ever blame me for any of my health issues because nobody will know about them

The Significance of Comprehensive Health Assessments for Athletes:
Apart from specialized cardiovascular screenings, thorough full body health assessments are crucial for ensuring the well-being of athletes. These evaluations offer a comprehensive overview of an athlete's overall health condition, enabling medical professionals to recognize potential risks, uncover underlying medical issues, and apply preventive measures beyond cardiovascular health.
1. Detection of Non-Cardiac Health Issues: Full body health assessments cover various evaluations like blood tests, imaging scans, and physical exams, revealing non-cardiac health concerns affecting an athlete's performance and longevity. These assessments may uncover abnormalities in metabolic markers, hormonal imbalances, musculoskeletal problems, respiratory function, or mental health, facilitating timely interventions and targeted management plans.
2. Monitoring of Nutrition and Diet: Nutrition significantly impacts athletic performance, recovery, and overall health. Full body health assessments typically include evaluations of nutritional status, including body composition measurements, micronutrient levels, and dietary patterns. By identifying deficiencies or imbalances in nutrient intake, healthcare providers can offer personalized dietary advice and nutritional guidance to optimize athletic performance and reduce the risk of nutrition-related health issues.
3. Assessment of Musculoskeletal Health and Injury Risk: Athletes face a higher risk of musculoskeletal injuries due to the repetitive strains of training and competition. Full body health assessments may involve evaluations of musculoskeletal health, including joint flexibility, muscle strength, and biomechanical imbalances, to identify weak areas or predispositions to injury. Implementing tailored exercise routines, corrective methods, or physical therapy based on these assessments can help reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and enhance athletic durability.
4. Evaluation of Mental Health and Well-being: Mental health and well-being are essential aspects of athletic performance and resilience. Full body health assessments may include evaluations of psychological factors such as stress levels, mood changes, sleep patterns, and coping mechanisms to identify potential mental health issues or sources of psychological strain. By addressing these concerns proactively through counseling, therapy, or stress management techniques, healthcare providers can assist athletes in maintaining optimal mental health and readiness for performance.
5. Screening for Cardiovascular Health: While specialized cardiovascular screenings focus on cardiac function and heart diseases, full body health assessments may include additional evaluations to screen for cardiovascular risk factors like hypertension, dyslipidemia, or obesity. By monitoring parameters such as blood pressure, lipid profiles, and body weight, healthcare providers can identify athletes at higher risk of cardiovascular complications and implement preventive measures such as lifestyle adjustments or medication to reduce these risks and support heart health.
There are many good hospitals in India offering health checkup packages for undergoing a full body health checkup. Regular health checkups can help athletes in assessing their general health routinely, as well as diagnose and treat any health problem at an early stage.
