Tell us about your current and past motor vehicles
gladly! this is gonna be a long post
this was my first car, she was a 1984 mercedes 300D turbodiesel. her name was clifford, named after a button on the dash from a defunct security system. in-line five diesel engine, sounded like a truck, was built like a truck, LOVED this car. i paid $600 for her in 2016. she had 308k miles when i bought her, and she went to the scrapyard with 314k the next year when the hood latches broke while i was on the highway and sent the hood into the windshield. i was okay but the repairs were just too much for a $600 car. she was awesome though, a real head turner even with her peeling clearcoat and plumes of diesel smoke
then there was the corolla! 1999, manual transmission. the best car i’ve ever owned. not my favorite but definitely objectively the best. bought off a friend also for $600, around 210k miles. surprisingly fun to drive, very reliable. drove from north carolina to massachusetts in that car, and then across massachusetts every week. her name was wanda, which carried over from the previous owner. drover her for a little over a year before the brakes failed and i rear ended someone
i replaced the corolla with an ‘05 mazda3 i called the tick, after the cartoon character. also bought from a friend. kept it through early 2021 i think, drove it through most of early quarantine. i didn’t love this car personally, in large part because the transmission and starter both went out on me within the first two months of ownership and the friend i bought it from was entirely unsympathetic. i sold it to my shitty roommate lol
and then for some reason my mom gave me a sports car. she bought a new honda civic and handed down her 2004 subaru wrx wagon, with the manual transmission and everything. she’d named it the millennium falcon so i called her falcon. this car was a blast to whip around. that turbo boxer engine sounded amazing and this thing RIPPED on the highway. the biggest issues with it were that it really didn’t have all that much character on the road, and it took premium gas, so fill ups were EXPENSIVE. i sold her after having her for a few months because the clutch went out and i was quoted $2k to replace it because that’s what happens when you have a sports car. sold it as is to a guy with two other wrxs who wanted to fix it up and use it as a work car
this is the current baby! bit of an older picture because she looks uhhh worse these days but this is clifford jr the 2001 jeep cherokee xj. i’ve learned so much with this car, done a bunch of the work on her myself. she’s a fixer upper im reaching my limit on but she’s served me remarkably well and is my favorite car i’ve owned. not fast, not good on gas, but god she’s got some character. just rolled over 256k miles
like i said i’m reaching my wits end with the jeep, every time i fix something two more things break, and i can’t afford for her to keep being a money pit. so i’m starting to save for something else, ideally a late 80s honda or toyota, or a panther body sedan, like a ford crown victoria or mercury grand marquis

TOM'S Corolla Turbo
The TOM'S Corolla Turbo project in 1999 was a notable effort by TOM'S Japan to bring its high-performance tuning expertise to the Southeast Asian market, particularly the Philippines. By collaborating with Kilton Motors, TOM'S aimed to enhance the Toyota Corolla Altis, a popular sedan, to compete directly with the Honda Civic SiR, which was a favorite among car enthusiasts.
Key Features and Components
Aero Kit and Turbo Unit: The project included a stylish aero kit and a bolt-on turbo unit designed to boost both appearance and performance.
Components and Fabrication: Various off-the-shelf Toyota parts, like the turbo and intercooler, were utilized to keep costs down. Custom components included a welded tubular stainless steel turbo manifold and downpipe, aluminum intercooler piping, and a 3-inch mild steel exhaust.
ECU Tuning: TOM'S used its own programmable ECU for tuning, achieving an estimated 150hp at the wheels.
Driving Experience and Performance
Test Vehicle: The test vehicle, equipped with the TOM'S kit, showcased a sporty bodykit with a hood scoop, front bumper air dam, and a tall rear wing. It also featured exclusive 15x7 alloy wheels.
Turbo Performance: The small turbo provided quick spooling and minimal lag, making the car very responsive. The engine's power delivery was strong, easily lighting up the front tires up to third gear.
Publicity Stunt: In a drag race event, the car, driven by actor and TOM'S works driver Jomari Yllana, reportedly achieved an 11+ second, 167kph run down the 1/8th mile.
Market Reception and Rarity
High Cost: The TOM'S package had a high price tag of around P160,000, in addition to the cost of the Corolla Altis, making it affordable only to a few.
Limited Sales: Despite the efforts to market the car, only a handful of body kits and four complete vehicles were sold. These vehicles are now considered rare, with some still believed to be in their original condition.
The TOM'S Corolla Turbo remains one of the fastest and most powerful Corollas ever sold by local dealers in the Philippines. While opinions on its aesthetics varied, its performance and rarity have cemented its status as a unique and notable part of automotive history in the region.

Formula 1 2026 Engine Regulation Changes - TEXT BLOCK
I wrote up this explanation of each of the engine regulation changes for my WIFE and it's good enough I wanted to share it here.
Formula 1 2026 Engine Regulation Changes:
1: **New fuel must be 100% carbon free fuel, part of the FIA's plan for "net zero carbon" F1 racing by 2030.** ARAMCO is leading the research into the new carbon-neutral fuel. The goal is to be able to reuse municipal waste, food waste, or even gas pulled from the atmosphere to fuel cars. As of now it's being tested only in Formula racing, but the goal is to slowly release this fuel for road use as well across the world. Right now the F1 cars run on E10 (90% gasoline, 10% renewable ethanol). F1 and the FIA are the best people to lead this project because they know that full electric cars are not attainable for most people in the world and so replacing fuel with a carbon-neutral fuel (carbon is pulled from the environment to make the fuel, and the same amount is emitted by the engine. This essentially maintains the carbon equilibrium.) Formula 2 and Formula 3 are already running on a fuel mix comprised with 55% of this new biofuel. F1 is really driving sustainable practices. They are the first motorsport to use FSC (Forest Sustainability Council) certified tires, McLaren is releasing their new carbon fiber recycling (first industrial scale use), all of F1's DHL delivery trucks for European races run on 100% biofuel as of last year, all 10 teams have received the FIA's 3-star environmental accreditation.
2: **Increased electric power in the cars** - as of right now its 75% engine/25% electric power. The goal is 50%/50% by increasing the MGU-K unit from 120 kW to a 350 kW generator - this is what Verstappen is worried about as there isn’t an equivalent increase in battery size meaning the current ~30 second max boost from the electric motors will be reduced to ~10 seconds with the larger motor and same battery size. Drivers will have to downshift during straights to charge the battery more often, hopefully leading to closer racing as people won’t be able to just fly off using the electric motors.
3: **No more MGU-H** (this will help people like Stake or other small teams) - this was primarily driven by the fact that we have 2 new engine producers in 2026: Audi and Honda are joining the field and will need time to develop engines to catch up with teams like Ferrari and Red Bull. The issue is the MGU-H almost completely solved turbo lag (if you notice in your car, the turbo doesnt spool up until a certain RPM, the MGU-H spools the turbo from the time of acceleration, allowing for all waste exhaust to be used for charging the battery instead of wasting some spooling the turbo). This may lead to the return of Schumacher level throttle control to keep the turbo spooled during cornering. It’s going to be a learning curve for the racers who have only ever raced with an anti-lag system like the MGU-H.
4: **Reduced fuel allowance** - cars burn through around 100 kg of fuel per race, in 2026 this will be limited to 70 kg. The new engines ARE more efficient so it should equal out to the same power for less fuel.
The FIA is also pushing teams towards focusing less on raw engine power and more on aerodynamics and drag reduction to improve engine efficiency. Essentially, this is a test bed for the future of all high end racing by developing incredibly efficient powerful engines with a smaller form factor and better

I like big butts and I cannot lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face, you get sprung
Wanna pull up tough 'cause you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearin'
I'm hooked and I can't stop starin'
Oh, baby, I wanna get wit'cha
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But that butt you got makes (me so horny!)
Oh, Rump-o'-smooth-skin
You say you wanna get in my Benz?
Well, use me, use me
'Cause you ain't that average groupie
I've seen 'em dancin'
To hell with romancin'
She sweat, wet
Got it goin' like a turbo 'Vette
I'm tired of magazines
Sayin' flat butts are the thing
Take the average black man and ask him that
She gotta pack much back
So, fellas! (Yeah!)
Fellas! (Yeah!)
Has your girlfriend got the butt? (Hell yeah!)
Tell 'em to shake it! (Shake it!)
Shake it! (Shake it!)
Shake that healthy butt!
Baby got back!
(LA face with a Oakland booty)
Baby got back!
(LA face with a Oakland booty)
I like 'em round, and big
And when I'm throwin' a gig
I just can't help myself
I'm actin' like an animal
Now here's my scandal
I wanna get you home
And ugh, double-up, ugh, ugh
I ain't talkin' 'bout Playboy
'Cause silicone parts are made for toys
I want 'em real thick and juicy
So find that juicy double
Mix-a-Lot's in trouble
Beggin' for a piece of that bubble
So I'm lookin' at rock videos
Knock-kneed bimbos walkin' like hoes
You can have them bimbos
I'll keep my women like Flo Jo
A word to the thick soul sistas
I wanna get wit'cha
I won't cuss or hit ya
But I gotta be straight when I say I wanna
Till the break of dawn
Baby got it goin' on
A lot of simps won't like this song
'Cause them punks like to hit it and quit it
And I'd rather stay and play
'Cause I'm long, and I'm strong
And I'm down to get the friction on
So, ladies! (Yeah!)
Ladies! (Yeah)
Do you wanna roll in my Mercedes? (Yeah!)
Then turn around, stick it out!
Even white boys got to shout
Baby got back!
Baby got back!
Yeah, baby, when it comes to females
Cosmo ain't got nothing to do with my selection
36-24-36? Only if she's 5'3
So your girlfriend rolls a Honda
Playin' workout tapes by Fonda
But Fonda ain't got a motor in the back of her Honda
My anaconda don't want none
Unless you've got buns, hun
You can do side bends or sit-ups
But please don't lose that butt
Some brothers wanna play that hard role
And tell you that the butt ain't gold
So they toss it and leave it
And I pull up quick to retrieve it
So Cosmo says you're fat
Well I ain't down with that!
'Cause your waist is small and your curves are kickin'
And I'm thinkin' 'bout stickin'
To the beanpole dames in the magazines
You ain't it, Miss Thing!
Give me a sista, I can't resist her
Red beans and rice didn't miss her
Some knucklehead tried to diss
'Cause his girls are on my list
He had game but he chose to hit 'em
And I pull up quick to get wit 'em
So ladies, if the butt is round
And you want a triple X throwdown
Dial 1-900-MIX-A-LOT
And kick them nasty thoughts
Baby got back!
Baby got back!
Little in the middle but she got much back!
Little in the middle but she got much back!

What about motorcycles?
Ohohoh. You thought you were going to put me in a spot of bother right here, eh? You thought you'd find me completely clueless as to what to tell you, huh?? You thought, HUH???? Well, unlucky for you, I have TWO entire BOOKS about motorcycles.
So I can just open the first one to a random page and tell you something about a motorcycle. *eh-hem* Fun fact about motorcycle...
...tits!
Okay, that was the first time I ever opened that book and I don't think it's going to top that, so let's just move on to the next one.
Well, this looks significantly weirder. What the hell are those funky things meant to be?
Wait wait wait. Folding???? "Trunk Bike"???? What do you mean????
Well, they mean that you could pull up to your Honda City Turbo II, fold down handlebars and seat, chuck it in the back and go on your merry way!
It was full of clever touches like an integrated wire lock, side bumpers so you could lay it flat, and even an optional backpack that latched onto the bike through the internal holes!
Bafflingly enough, this was nowhere near as much of a hit as was expected, failing to even hit a third of its targets by the end of its production with around 53.000 ever being produced. But what success it lacked in showroom life blossomed after, with a dedicated community of fans that spawned, among many other things, this book.
So, indeed, fun fact about Motocompo...
...tits!
Yes, this is an artbook dedicated to a vanishingly rare Japan-only early-80s folding scooter featuring manga tits. This thing couldn't be more Japanese if they drew the Motocompo as a tempura.
Although I guess it can't hurt to try.
Trust me, y'all cannot conceive how fantastically weird this book is. The picture above is not even an outlier. That's just the level. There's shoes, mini mangas, personifications, and of course...
...tits!
"Oh wow -I hear you say- look at the crazy tires they drew on that one!" And well, you're not gonna believe this:
Oh and the owner of this one has some half dozen. One of them replaces the stock 2.5HP engine with a Kawasaki unit as powerful as my car.
Oh right, forgot to mention. The book has a section dedicated to some of the finest modified Motocompos in the whole of Japan.
Why are you even asking? Of course there's itashas.
I humbly beg you to notice the tread pattern on the tire - of course, the most popular among Motocompo enthusiasts.
And I know what y'all are gonna think - y'all are gonna think I want one of these mad little scooters badly. And well, that's not quite true. I want about 10% of one, an electric motor and some batteries, and otherwise I'm good ;)
'Til then, it lays dormant in a silent prayer that my mom keeps not wondering what's up with that huge box atop the shelf with giant kanji all over it. And that the mailman hates me less than I assume he does.
Anyway, figured I would leave you with a double spread from the book featuring two quotes that have me torn on which I should get tatted on my back.
EDIT: It seems this post is shadowbanned. I cannot fathom why.
Links in blue are posts of mine explaining the words in question - if you liked this post, you might like those!
#japan is weird#and also a JERK of a country#I had to buy the thing through a business that buys things on Japanese auction sites and then receives them and ships them to you#which only exists because they don't even allow you to use those sites at all if you're not Japanese#but anyways of COURSE i bought a set of those tires#also i guess nationality doxx#and yes that was genuinely the first page I ever opened that book to#honda ncz 50 motocompo#that's its legal name#honda city#itasha#japan

Honda CR-X Hatchback Coupe Concept
What if... Honda brought back this fun compact hatchback coupe to their line up. In this scenario, it would be equipped with a 1.4L turbo inline 4 cylinder motor with an ample amount of play power. It would also keep it's front wheel drive plateform as in previous iterations of this style of coupe. And as an added bonus, an optional manual transmission that would be offered along side a CVT transmission option.

I think I mentioned this idea a while ago, but 24 hours of lemons sister series called “cheap time attach” in which you have $5k (aud) to buy a car and build it into the fastest possible three lap machine.
The kickers of this would be rules regarding cost, namely tyres. Essentially tyres cannot exceed 205 tread width, or 200 tread wear. So no matter what, you can’t just put big sticky tyres on your car to cope with the insane amount of power or weight your car has, instead you need to keep it balanced so better suit the 205 tyre. Tyres don’t count to total cost but are capped at $1000 per race meet, so you can’t go putting expensive pilot sports on your car.
The next rule is categories, which is simple. 2WD n/a, 4WD n/a, 2WD no limit, 4WD no limit, and finally fastest slow car, which compares the everyone’s stock best time with their modified best time based on either common sense, power to weight or even magazine comparison if need be.
Engine swaps are allowed and not limited, but ecus, engines and transmissions all count toward your final cost. If you win and your car has been shown to go over the $5k limit, you are stripped of your title. Forced induction can be added but again, must stay under the cost cap and nitrous is absolutely forbidden purely due to the likely hood of popping your engine.
Vehicle weights are free, but must remain safe and the chassis complete, ie no space frames. Aero is open but this counts towards final cost so there’s no point in buying a fancy wing.
Consumables or whatever can be argued to be a consumable of your vehicle also doesn’t count to your cost.
I think if I was to build a car for this to win outright I would go for something like a manual turbo subaru, an RX8, or a honda accord.
the goal in my mind is to make the car as light as possible, and have the potential to tune extra power into the car without spending much, ie aftermarket boost controller or doing some basic porting. the potential to make 200-250hp and remain under 1000kg is sort of the golden area in my mind, anything more than that and you start getting pricey.
the other thing i'd be aiming for is a platform with a good gearbox and diff possibilities. lots of Imprezas came with factory LSDs and the same can be said for RX8s and accord, but matching ratios etc gets a bit tricky.
you could also go in the complete other direction and not bother at all with power and exclusively tune your car by removing weight, especially with there being no lower limits. take a small car with good bones and a decent engine: mitsubishi mirage hatch . you can supposedly get these things down to 800kg with very little effort, and 750kg with a good amount of effort. you now have a light car for a few hundred dollars, but you have maybe 80hp if youre lucky. mitsubishi engines are cheap and plentiful, but most importantly easy to swap across platforms. get yourself a 2.4L motor from a later gen lancer and you now have 160hp, with potential for more with some messing around.
suspension is something ive been skirting around, but suspension is almost a fixed cost. people will either go for a set of BCs or frankenstein some OEM parts together to make something that kinda works. you could definitely maths your way through getting a good springs rate for your car just by finding out OEM spring rates and diameters and trying a few combos and cutting off some coils, but damping is a huge difficulty. my pick would be to find some cheaper height adjustable coilovers, drain the shocks they provide so they are essentially just linear bearings, then find an OEM damper that better suits your application and figure out a way to make it work on your car. (eaiser said than done though haha)
i think this is a pretty good idea, but obviously it needs tweaking.

Motor sports introductory car demonstrates its ability
MR2 interrupting the Impreza & Lancer
It was the beginning of fiscal 1999 when the MR2GT, which was modified around the suspension, broke the 10-second mark for the first time as a 2nd class. At present, 2.5 liters and above are the main focus, and it gave light to the two classes, which can't deny the feeling of something half-finished.
That prediction was right, and in the second half of fiscal 1999, a powerful elite model will debut. The first is the Lancer GSR Evolution. WRC to revive Mitsubishi in the rally.
This model was developed for the "". Even at a circuit with a different competition location, it still showed the speed of the rumor ", and marked the 1 second range. Although it is not as good as the MR2GT, it is a machine that you can fully feel its high potential and look forward to the future.
And the Impreza WRX. A more Spartan-polished type RA updated the time of MR2GT and secured the position of the 2nd class champion.
Lancer and Impreza There is no doubt that they will continue to compete on the rally field and on the circuit.

Forgive the Civic monopoly!!, and the Mirage begins the pursuit
It was the 1.6L to 1.8L2 class that vividly showed off the technology that had been refined through motor sports. Honda was strong. With a VTEC (Variable Valve Timing & Lift Mechanism) B16A power unit at its heart, the Civic raced through the narrow circuit.
With its lightweight body of 1040kg, affordable body size, and strong suspension with front and rear double wishbones, the Civic has the potential to compete with even the upper classes. This can be understood from the fact that not only the 1.6-liter class, but also the 1.8's supercharged engine-equipped car is ahead in terms of time.
A car that threatened the Civic's absolute superiority debuted in October. That's the Mirage from the best-performing manufacturer, Mitsubishi. Armed with the 4G92 type called MIVEC (Mitsubishi Multi-Mode Variable Valve Timing & Lift Mechanism), it is aiming for the 1.6-liter throne.
MIVEC has basically the same structure as VTEC, but the output is 175ps, which is 5% higher. The output per liter is the best in the world for naturally aspirated engines.
The suspension has a front strut and a rear multi-link, which contrasts well with the Civic. In terms of time, the difference is only 0.18 seconds, but when the conditions are the same, who will be the winner?

SO CHERRI TOLD ME TO USE TUMBLR AND I DONT KNOW HOW ALL OF THIS WORKS BUT UH HEY HERES AN EXCERPT
"The shop is scheduled to be empty tonight; Hirotsu's out on some business and Gin has just finished their shift, skulking back to wherever that oddball slinks off to when he isn't around. The shop is silent, save for Tachihara's own breathing and the sound of metal clanging on metal as he drops another wrench into the engine of this wreck of a Honda. He doesn't know who the client is, and he doesn't want to know, because he's too pissed off about having to retrieve the wrenches. But, as he was working alone though, the taps of footsteps could be heard from the edge of the garage. It was definitely the sound of someone coming, but it wasn't exactly clear who it was at first glance.
Though, as his breaths heaved and he placed what sounded like a box of parts onto the other side of the garage that Tachihara was working in, it became a bit more apparent as to who the person is, as, there's really only one person delivering goods like this in and out of the workshop; Andre. Andre is a bit of a curious subject, as iterated before. Andre has some racer blood in him; as shown in his only car being that Esprit that he used to push down the highways in. But, now, the former Black Lizard Works member is resigned to the role he occupies now... Not that he likes it, nor does he hate it with a seething passion. He just hopes that he could have something a little more exciting. As was indicated with that itch he had back in the office about racing at 300 kilometers per hour again.
"Guess the HKS Turbos that you ordered just came in the mail. Whose client is this for?"
Was what Andre curiously asked, as he wiped the sweat that pooled on his forehead with his arm, glancing his pearlescent blue onto Tachihara, who seems to be awfully annoyed in working in that Civic...
"I think it's for Gin's,"
Michizou says, wiping his eye to rid himself of the annoyance that must be an eyelash, but he only succeeds in getting grease smeared across his cheek, something he likely won't notice until he goes home and finds it on his pillow the next morning.
"Dunno what he's working on, but he's been waiting on that Turbo to put the damn thing back together."
Andre walks over to where Tachihara was, and greets him in the only way he knows how to; with a little scruffle of his head as he presumably reaches out and retrieves what fallen spanners have gone into the car. Though he was mildly annoyed that Tachihara tends to not pick up physical displays of affection if it isn’t implicitly given to him, he still does it either way, and it was his way of making Tachihara feel a little more at home, and it's those little touches that go a long way; as he experienced himself. After he did so, he responded properly to what Tachihara said about the turbo that Gin bought, and it seemed that Gin was the one all about boost... She tuned up her AW11 and even twincharged Tachihara's FC, making both cars venerable racers in the mountain passes. But, looking back at the desk that Gin has, and looking back at Tachihara, he couldn't help but smile a little, as the mess of his desk reminded him of how his desk looked when he installed that bored out motor on a customer's Silvia."
You guys will soon enough learn about Andre
Maybe jf I feel like it
