They're a void player, ofc they'd vibe with genderless stuff

They're void of gender in the most literal sense

Also, like they said, hanging with a skull cherub with space gender fuckery shit probably does change ur perception of gender

also uh spoilers for homestuck epilogues MEAT? anyways-

i’m ashamed to admit but a bit funny and good! the piece as a whole as i get further into it? FUCKING SUCKS AND IN NO WAY RESEMBLES THE CHARACTERS INTRODUCED????!?!!!?!! i cannot understand why they made jane into a supervillain fascist while mentioning that she is (but definitely was, not is) extremely kind and empathetic. this. does. not. make. sense. fuck dirk i don’t remember him being this big of a tool?? poor jake he’s just a himbo quit hurting him !!! love dave and karkat. they vibe im enjoying them. john is so depressed please get this boy into therapy and on some anti anxiety/ depression meds. WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO JADE?!!?!!! yes she grew up alone on an island, with little to no reference to social interaction, but she’s not stupid. she’s incredibly smart, i think SOME PART OF HER would’ve picked up that her advances were not reciprocated ?? or understood that 85% or whatever of her advances not being outright rejected did not mean feelings were reciprocated. maybe her doggy senses helped her to smell emotion !! IDFK! maybe she could calculate how many of her advances were being reciprocated!!! so i find it unlikely and in poor taste that she has no issues with adapting socially to some things, but is completely oblivious to others. it’s one thing if she was still and kid and oblivious socially? but she’s an extremely social person that is simultaneously incredibly scientifically minded. she would pick up on things. she would notice when things were off. god i’m upset about her characterization. she’s 23, she’s learned a lot! not just how to sleep around, she’s picked up some social stuff! and i’m fine with that part- if that’s the path they think fits her, then who am i to judge! i think it’s actually interesting in set up! but not how they substituted it for awareness. i think jade could’ve been given idk some cool marceline treatment! except werewolf? cool floaty werewolf chick that plays bass! DONT TELL ME SHE WOULDNT BE MAKING INCREDIBLE ADVANCES IN SCIENCE WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY SLAYING THE STAGE !!!!!

anyways those are mainly my thoughts as of rn; i’m on part 22? i think john being wildly depressed makes sense and has so much weight. i think my boys strugglin. i think jade could be couch surfin and dating around while she tours and studies; no time to keep a fulfilling relationship in between because she’s forced to never be in the same place for too long. i love rose and kanaya, i’m just honestly not sure how to categorize my thoughts on them at this point in the story though. dave and karkat? love you guys you’re making this readable. dirk? choke on a dick. jake? get that dick. jane? stop.

I want Meat John to be June. John had a very petty stake in the Lord English fight, having met him as a cringefail teen and beat him up for it. I want Meat June to be a narrative flashbang like Yiffy was. And I want it to be revealed that when Meat J died, she woke up as June and conked Lord English's health bar out of his jelly as a woman - the ultimate insult to his fragile ego.

But I don't think HICU is going to do that. That's too good of a narrative direction to make sense and too awesome of a story for The Homestuck Sitcom Where Nothing Fucking Happens.

i haven't read the og homestuck and epilogues for a while so maybe it's been shown or implied but like, where is John's first-adopted salamander wizard daughter Casey???? Did they just dump her somewhere after the comic ended?

She ends up in the battleship with John and Jade where she becomes part of the consorts and Carapacians playing the Ghostbusters MMO. Neither John, Jade, or Davesprite acknowledge her existence. Rose may implied to miss her as she named a library of Cantown after her. Upon entering the Alpha session, Casey would gain powers to raise the dead Consorts of said Alpha Session and would join with Jane and Jake in fighting The Felt in [S] Collide. But after that, no one knows what happened to Casey after said timeskip to Earth C's civilization. Most assume she dead. No monument given to her in the Consort Kingdom either. Not like Jake, Dirk, or even GCatavrosprite are connected to her like John and Rose. And neither John or Rose acknowledge or remember her presence in either Candy or Meat. The writing team and the fandom accepted that the consorts are NPC and mindless animals. They are unimportant like the Carapacians who aren't Wayward Vagabond, Aimless Renegade, Peregrine Mendicant, The Midnight Crew, and the White/Black King/Queen. Why should anyone care about them?

If the Epilogues/HS2 teams wanted to canonize Jade's dog dick because she was fused with Bec, they should've canonized every other sprite-fusion consequence just so they can see how ridiculous the idea was. If we took the sprite = biology throughline like the epilogues did, this is what we'd end up with:

Jade is so heavily radioactive that she poisoned every mortal she ever got nasty with.

Aradia is part frog, can get pregnant, and lays frogspawn.

Davesprite has a cloaca and lays eggs.

Davepetasprite^2 has troll-human junk. Still lays eggs.

Nannasprite has a Suspicious Plushie Pouch.

Jasprosesprite^2 has whatever deal cats and horrorterrors have. So does GCATavrosprite, minus the horrorterror.

This is why we have to be careful which extracurriculars a sprite inherits from its components. Now because of Jade inheriting a dog dick, suddenly everyone has cursed animal junk and has body functions associated with said cursed animal junk.
