Pasta That Pops
Pick fresh cherry tomatoes, or save them for later by freezing them, to cook into a pasta sauce that intensifies their tart-sweet taste. Learn to make Pasta That Pops.
We typically choose cherry tomatoes for fresh dishes, but they’re delicious when preserved and cooked. How to make a homemade pasta
"# Introduction
Pasta is one of the most beloved dishes around the world. It's easy to make, it's delicious and it's incredibly versatile. Whether you're looking for a simple weeknight dinner or an impressive meal to serve for a special occasion, homemade pasta is the perfect option. With just a few simple ingredients and a bit of time, you can create a delicious and unique meal that everyone will love. In this blog, we'll walk through the basics of how to make homemade pasta and share some of our favorite recipes.
What You'll Need
Making homemade pasta is easier than you might think, but there are a few tools and ingredients you'll need to get started.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons olive oil
Pinch of salt
Tools
Mixing bowl
Rolling pin
Cutting board
Knife
Pasta machine (optional)
Step by Step Guide
Making your own homemade pasta is easy and fun. Here's a step-by-step guide to making it at home.
Step 1: Make the Dough In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, olive oil, and salt. Mix together until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Roll Out the Dough Lightly flour a cutting board and rolling pin. Divide the dough into 4-5 pieces. Roll out each piece of dough until it's about 1/8-inch thick.
Step 3: Cut the Dough Cut the dough into strips that are about 1/2-inch wide. If desired, you can also use a pasta machine to roll and cut the dough.
Step 4: Cook the Pasta Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for about 4 minutes, or until al dente. Drain the pasta and serve with your favorite sauce.
Recipes
Now that you know how to make the dough, you can start experimenting with different flavors and shapes. Here are a few of our favorite recipes to get you started.
Lemon Thyme Fettuccine For a light and refreshing pasta dish, try this lemony fettuccine.
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
Pinch of salt
Directions: Follow the steps for making the dough outlined above, adding the lemon zest and thyme leaves to the flour mixture. Roll out and cut the dough into fettuccine noodles. Cook in boiling salted water for 4 minutes, or until al dente. Serve with a light lemon cream sauce.
Spinach Basil Ravioli For a more adventurous pasta dish, try this spinach and basil filled ravioli.
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
Pinch of salt
Directions: Follow the steps for making the dough outlined above. Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cut into 2-inch circles. Place about 1 teaspoon of the spinach and basil mixture in the center of each circle. Wet the edges of the circles with water and fold in half. Press the edges together with a fork to seal. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the ravioli. Cook for about 4 minutes, or until al dente. Serve with your favorite sauce.
Conclusion
Making homemade pasta is a great way to impress your friends and family. With just a few simple ingredients and some basic kitchen tools, you can create delicious and unique dishes that everyone will love. We hope this blog has inspired you to give homemade pasta a try. Bon appétit!"

Tonight, I went all out. I made homemade pasta, homemade ricotta cheese, homemade sauce, and made the filling for my manicotti with the fresh ricotta and the Italian cheeses that I got in NY... Parmesan reggiano, pecorino romano, asiago, and caccicavallo!!! This is the best manicotti I've ever had!! The inside filling is so fluffy and tasty, and the pasta is very tender. The sauce is delicious because I cooked the rinds of all the cheeses in it for hours. Now, I'm gonna have to make manicotti this way every time because I'm spoiled. It was a lot of work, but it was well worth it. This is sooooooo good. Petey agrees. 😊😋😍😁🤗 this was so inexpensive to make, and it's better than any restaurant food I've ever had. 😋 I'm very proud of my manicotti. I've gotta make more soon!!! 😍

I'm using the porcini that I dried a few weeks ago for the first time and I cannot stress enough how it's exactly, EXACTLY like the dried porcini you buy in Asda. Despite the porcini specimen being fucking old and spongey and soggy, despite me not owning a dehydrator and drying the pieces in a halogen fan oven, despite the fact that these are the WORST parts of the original mushroom because I ate the best parts fresh, they seem to have turned out absolutely fine! Haven't tasted yet but I'm confident it'll be delicious because it smells incredible

Magma Grunt Fact #2:
We are all allowed to utilize the Kitchen although we do have designated cooks who prepare our meals.
It is a combined effort of hired on positions as well as volunteer services. (All grunts are required to fill out a minimum volunteer hours for each month)
Though when the kitchen isn't being used grunts have permission to use the kitchen, on the basis that they clean up after they are done using it.
