I'm making my house a Murder Mystery Christmas. My newest acquisition is a Department 56 Literary Classics model of Sherlock Holmes' house, with Sherlock and Watson!

It's all set for the season with garland and wreath, a table full of tiny British Xmas foods, a Christmas tree, and three annoying carolers. Miss Marple, Father Brown, and Hercule Poirot watch over them like Guardian Angels.

Dr. Moriarty left them a plum pudding. I don't think they'll eat it.

J: Should probably mention some of this to Lestrade... you think he will believe us?

S: If he wants to remain on the nice list.

Before I start planning for a new round, I want to see if there's still interest enough to put in the work for it. Me, who has read all of ACD canon, listening to The Shoscomble Old Place:

Sherlock's diary:

Our very last stop was Glamis Castle in Scotland.

My favourite castle in Britain,  and of course John knew it.

I must talk in my sleep.

Nevertheless, the castle is opulent and most interesting.

Founded by the Lyon family in 1372.

Secrets, ghosts, and legends, like the sinful card game in the 15th century when Lord Glamis gambled with the devil.

Or the grey lady, a former Lady Glamis who was burnt for being a witch in 1537.

And there is the secret chamber where not only the cruel Lord Beardie gambled,  but also the legend of a deformed child hidden there for his entire life.

We ended our stay with a glamorous dinner and a staging of Macbeth

 ( Yes, I'm aware of the curse)

You don't need to grin, I'm allowed to be smitten.

We talk about my future husband.

It was an unforgettable journey.
