Rose's Day of Asks
Top 5 "it's cannon to me" couples.
Have a great Day💜
No. NO! NOOOOOO!!!!!! I will not pick between my beloveds! No. I can't! I won't! I shan't! No! I have too many and all of them are special to me. NO! But I will give you something because this is a good ask!
Top 5 "It's Canon to Me" Couples of 2023
and as usual, I will finesse my way into more!
Let me begin with the couples who cannot be considered for various reasons:
ToddBlack - Not Me
The reason they are being excluded isn't because they weren't in 2023. No! The reason they cannot be included is because THEY ARE CANON! Not just to me, but in the show. They. Are. Canon. They love each other in their warped way. They have fucked and will continue to fuck. And even on this day of marriage equality in Thailand, they still wouldn't get married because Black doesn't believe in the institution of marriage since the government is too involved in it and it's a capitalist tool used to push a heteronormative agenda, and Todd has a team of lawyers there to make sure Black gets everything he wants from Todd including the right to pull the plug on him, which he won't do BECAUSE THEY CAN'T KILL THE OTHER!
Guang Yan x Yi Yong - Oh No! Here Comes Trouble!
It's canon. Once again, it's not just canon to me. It's canon in the show and if people don't want to believe it, they can argue with the ghosts, but the ghosts also know it's canon because they witnessed these two fall in love with each other, so those negative people will still lose! When Yi Yong fell, Guang Yan ran to Yi Yong like his entire world was being destroyed right in front of him, and as a future doctor, he was losing his shit trying to keep Yi Yong alive. Then he stood in front of Yi Yong's mom, god, and ghost grandpa and stated directly into the microphone without any hesitation that Yi Yong was his heart and he needed him to come back to him. And if I ever get a second season, I know they'll still be sleeping in that bed, together. They. Are. Canon.
Peach x Home - Peaceful Property
This show hasn't been released yet, and the word on the streets is that it won't be a BL, but . . . it's canon to me. It's Tay and New. They are always down to kiss a homie. The pilot trailer was color coded, and although color coded boys don't have to be in love, they ARE in love. Therefore, they are canon. I don't make the rules.
Now for the actual list:
#5 - Saifah x Name - Dangerous Romance
They knew each other in high school, and when they met again as adults, there was chemistry. Name should've shot Saifah. Name should've been harsher to Saifah, yet he was granting leniency to Saifah. Then Saifah wanted Name out of the business. He wanted him to be safer and happier. Even though that didn't happen, Saifah still showed up in that jail to let Name know he would be waiting for him, no matter how long it took.
They are canon.
#4 - Oab x Guy - Bake Me Please
They were best friends. They started a business together with their other (bitchass) friend who Oab was in love with. They hired another baker to help their (bitchass) friend and Guy developed feelings for him. But . . . they actually loved each other! This isn't me being delusional either! When the dust settled, Guy and Oab sat down at a bar in the final episode, and Guy made it clear that not only was he far removed from his previous crush on someone else, but that he was there for Oab to help him get over his broken heart, in any way Oab needed him *wink*
They are canon.
#3 - Hyun Jae x Simeon - Jun & Jun
Simeon is an experienced idol. Hyun Jae was his manager, but Hyun Jae quit with no notice to go take care of the main character. The conversation when Simeon confronted Hyun Jae after he found out was thick with tension, and I do mean the physical kind. Simeon schemed his way into seeing the main character years later, but I truly believe it was a guise so he could see Hyun Jae because everything he did was to draw more attention from Hyun Jae. After that first encounter, they argued in cars, on rooftops, in dressing rooms, and standing on city streets, and I fully believed they fucked in all those places too!
They are canon.
#2 - Dome and Khatha - Midnight Museum
Dome is a god. Khatha is immortal. And they traveled through time and space to be together. The show labeled them as "brothers" but I don't know if it's because Gun and Tor could have chemistry with a broomstick, but THEY WERE IN LOVE! What convinces me even more is that Dome wasn't actually Khatha's "brother" Chan but looked like him. Khatha even confronted Chan AND KILLED HIM so he could be with Dome. Khatha made a decision to kill what we had been told was the most important part of him just so Dome could be safe. Then he ran through time to find Dome in the middle of a war with bullets flying and bombs dropping all so he could save him again just like he had the first time they met, and if I ever get that second season (MIDNIGHT MUSEUM 2 WHEN?!), GMMTV better let Gun kiss another man who isn't Off.
They are canon.
#1 - Yui x Soichiro - I Cannot Reach You
These two were just chilling in the background of every scene. TOGETHER! On a school trip? Together. At a festival? Together. Looking at books in the library? TOGETHER! Even though we never saw them kiss, their taiyaki kissed, so that's good enough for me! They were color coded (pink x green), which I think is one of the best color-coded pairs to ever exist, and Yui was giving advice to the main couple to get their shit together, probably because he was already in a loving and long-term relationship with his boyfriend!
They. Are. Canon.
#it's canon to me#but then again‚ it's canon in the show too#if you don't agree‚ ya lyin'#toddblack supremacy!#oh no! here comes trouble knows what it was doing#peaceful property#dangerous romance#jun and jun#bake me please#midnight museum#I cannot reach you#let Gun kiss other men!#GMMTV why couldn't he kiss Sing or Tor?!#SPEAK INTO THE MIC!#Inquiring minds would like to know

Peaceful Property EP 6 Analysis: Why Didn't Peach Take The Money
Alright, I've seen a lot of criticism towards Peach's decision not to take the money offered by Home's family lawyer to buy his silence and do damage control after the footage of the accident got leaked. Now, I'm all about bashing GMMTV for their mistreatment of TayNew and other actors under their label, as well as for their lazy storylines and plot holes on the final episodes of their shows, but for once I don't think you guys are seeing the whole picture. Yes, GMMTV is notoriously bad at depicting poor characters, but Peach's decision is not out of pocket. It's actually very characteristic of him and the progression of his friendship with Home.
Hear me out: First, in the beginning of the series, we see Peach and Home fight about money many times – From Home accusing Peach of trying to sabotage his Real State business by faking a paranormal event in Best's house for the sake of going viral to Home later on trying to hire Peach to exorcise said properties even though they'd just met.
Peach sees Home as a spoiled, privileged rich kid who was raised to believe money could buy anything. This conflict is explicitly shown on Episode 2, during Rak's exorcism when Home repeatedly attempts to buy his way out of a bad situation and Peach confronts him about it. First, when Home makes fun of Peach's attempt at making Rak a sandwich based on the manager's instructions and questions his abilities, then buys a feast for the ghost after Peach quits the job, arguing that she must've refused to pass on because the food wasn't to her liking. The second time it happened it's a more pronounced attempt, with Home slapping a pile of cash on the table during the commotion and Peach becoming outraged at it.
But this conflict is brought to light again, on Episode 3, when Peach and PangPang sign the ghost-hunting contract and Kan tells them they've essentially sold their souls to Home in exchange for a paycheck, as they need to heed all of his orders from now, which Home takes full advantage of right away. Now, PangPang is fine with the deal – as she's been since the start. She was the one who got Peach to agree to the exorcisms in the first place and it was her idea to go to Home and ask if he could lend them one of his properties. As long as there's something good coming out of it, she doesn't mind. Peach, however, is reluctant to agree to Home's unreasonable requests but eventually caves in and swallows his pride.
Yet, on Episode 5, we see him once again stand his ground. It doesn't matter that Home will cut his paycheck, he refuses to go back into the restaurant where his former mentor passed away (seemingly by his fault). Home has to push him to the brink, remind Peach of his current living situation – He has no place to stay in, he's sleeping under Home's roof – and consequently hurt him to convince him.
But by the end of Episode 5, Peach knows Home never cared about the money or intended to demolish the restaurant to build a 50 million baht condo out of it. Home confesses to Peach that he only acted the way he did because he knew Peach wouldn't have come otherwise and he really wanted to help Peach overcome his fear. So when Episode 6 rolls around, money is no longer a point of conflict in their friendship, right? Wrong.
Money (as well as influence) is the reason why Home is able to make Peach's dream come true in a heartbeat, after barely a day of knowing about it. He does it in grand style, in a palace, with cameras broadcasting it live and even getting Peach a do-over with Chai-Un as a bonus. But Peach doesn't feel like he owes Home, like he has to bend to his will, anymore because he knows where they stand now: they're family and family looks out for each other. Peach knows Home went through all this effort to make him happy and he rewards Home with his full trust. First, by leaving him on charge of the trickiest part of the dish that could ruin his career all over again. And second, by showing his gratitude and considering Home part of his and PangPang's family (They're the parents and Pang's the baby, as said by her).
So, he asks about Home's dream and when he realizes it's something that he can give him, Peach doesn't hesitate to do so. Home, who's grown up in a mansion, never had to fry an egg or find a job to survive, simply craves the love and comfort of a family and Peach welcomes him wholly.
So, then I ask you, why would Peach refuse the money Home's family lawyer offered him and give back what he got from the exorcisms? Well, the moment Peach found out (or rather assumed) that Home had been lying to him all this time, their friendship left a sour taste in his mouth. What Peach was led to believe Home had done out of care had turned out to be just an attempt at relieving himself of the guilt of the hit-and-run situation. Peach could be thinking Home sought him out on purpose with ulterior motives from the start, that it was all a game to him.
That only escalates once Home's family lawyer, and not Home himself, walks in with yet another contract for him to sign and an order of eviction. That is what puts up a wall between Home and Peach again and reminds Peach of their class disparities: he is poor and Home is rich. Three years ago, Home hit him with his yellow sports car while Peach was on his way home from work. Home's family took care of everything, bribed the police and buried the evidence while Peach was left with pain, guilt and trauma. Home was sent abroad to lay low while Peach lost his mentor (and mother figure), his job and his self-confidence. They couldn't be more worlds apart than they are.
One of Peach's fatal flaws is his pride. He doesn't care if he's going to have to go back to the "rat hole" he came from. He doesn't care if he's losing the chance of living a comfortable life. Peach went his whole life without generational wealth, he can continue to do so now.
So of course, not only doesn't he take the money but he goes even further and intends to give back all that he got from Home's family. Peach wants to be far way from Home and that includes his money. He doesn't care about being reasonable right now, he's just protecting himself.

I went to take some photos under daylight for my leather works at outdoors. and then My good friend - Oliver came over to see me, we're "woman's talking" lol at coffeshop in the afternoon.
We talk about non-marriage, marriage and divorce, as well as the concept of children's education, but the most talked about is a Korean drama, which tells the story of a well-known law firm, how lawyers go to court to litigate for various clients, especially It is a "divorce lawsuit", mostly for the division of property and child custody. It reminds me of my divorced back then. If I had chosen to hire a lawyer to litigate, would I and my children's life be better now? … I believe I will still make the same choice: I only want two children and our "peace and freedom"in the life, because you can just make money by yourself tottaly, but if you want to simplify the problem, you can't be greedy.
═════ ✾ ═════
In fact, there is no right answer when it comes to falling in love, getting married, not getting married, or getting divorced; it all depends on your "choice". What we should do is not to choose the right answer, but you should "try to make your choice the right answer." Life is about making choices with your best efforts and over and over again, without regrets, and then being responsible for them. This is life.

I know you’re young but I wish more of you would realize that no man is going to just let you take his money in a divorce. Go watch the TikTok’s of the newly divorced women in their 40’s crying about the ‘financial abuse’ their ex is putting them thru. Applying for food stamps and a single mom at 45 because she bought into the ditzy lie that she could just get an attorney and take his money.
It’s not gonna happen so easily. If he hasn’t already, he’s gonna tie his money up in accounts that can’t be acquired during divorce. Men are not dumb, nowadays.
Lol and don’t think a degree is going to save you. Recent grads are not getting hired, let alone middle aged women who haven’t worked since Bush was in office.
I see your perspective, that’s why education is important. That’s why before marriage knowing your states laws and prenup criteria’s are essential. I would make a great effort to protect myself 100 percent in the event of a divorce just as any smart woman should do. This is why you hire the lawyer before the marriage and not just after. As well as protecting yourself during the marriage as well. I’m not sure who said anything about just automatically receiving anything.
I know how things work, and I’m very educated on this topic. Making sure you know what his assets are, and where they are, making sure you have dual ownership or full ownership, and hiring a lawyer to help you draft your prenup pre-marriage discussing what would happen in the event of a divorce, alimony etc. for the win 🥇 I would never go into such a big commitment being ignorant. Also a lot of men are still dumb today most definitely haha most men aren’t going to think to tie their accounts somewhere and that’s very difficult to do once the courts are involved. That’s also why I care more about assets than liquid funds. I care about property, boats, cars, collectibles, jewelry, stock shares, percentage of any business he may have (I would require this beforehand) as well as alimony etc. I would make sure I have ownership of a lot of things anyways because I refuse to walk away empty handed.
As for the recent grads. They aren’t doing the right things or have limited resources to network.
Networking is the best way to ensure a career and getting hired. Learning to network is essential and is why I’ve always gotten whatever job I’ve wanted without a degree because I knew somebody who knew somebody.

Heyy
Do you have any advice on starting a real estate business as in just buying and renting out property?
Thanks 🤍
Yes!
**For the record, I have personally done a few flips/rehabs. Apart from that, I knew/know most of the realtors in this city and relating companies as I worked with most real estate/mortgage and title companies here when I had an agency.
First you need to be able to learn the market and research comparables. When looking to buy properties there are important factors to consider to make sure you are not paying overprice for a property as well as that the are is on demand, ensuring it will be easier to rent out the property.
The location of the property and its proximity to amenities like schools, shopping centers, grocery stores, transportation etc. Also that the area is safe.
You also want to look for areas that has future development plans, this will raise the value of your property.
If you have worked with investment companies, you will quickly learn that buying a property that is not in the best condition, a rehab property, could be a very smart play. You want to make sure of course to check the comparables and ensure that the property is underpriced compared to the other homes in the area. Once you rehab the property, it could raise or even surpass the value of the other homes in the area.
Any home that you would look into to buy for renting out should have elements that you intend to upgrade on. There are a lot of reasons for this but the most important one is how it raises your price and potential earnings. Redoing a kitchen or a bathroom can immediately raise the value of your home anywhere from 5-50k. A project that will cost you anywhere from 3-10k on average for a standards nice kitchen depending on your area.
Overall you still want to look at the comps to make sure you are getting a fair deal. Calculate the potential annual rent as a percentage of the properties price. This will give you an idea of the return on your investment. Also make sure that the potential rental income exceeds the monthly expenses. If not it does not make sense.
Check the vacancy rates in the area you want to purchase in, if its high there may be a low demand and not a good area to invest in.
Also you want to think about how easy it would be to sell the property if you need to. In demand areas tend to be more liquid.
So important, to understand the landlord/ tenant laws in your state. Including their rights and eviction process etc. Nothing worst than having a horrible tenant and not being legally able to remove them.
There are a lot of rate plans depending on your specific situation and mortgage rates also vary significantly by state. Make sure to get the best deal for you. Some states a first time can give as little as 1-5% down depending if you are a first time/ entrepreneur etc.
Property insurance is another cost factor to consider when working out your numbers as this varies by area.
Managing a few properties on your own is easy, but after a handful, you may want to consider hiring a property management company to handle these things for you.
I would strongly urge you to get a lawyer to draw up renter contracts.
To grow this business what you want to do, and this is a general overview: down payment for house, fix, rent out, refinance, use refinance to purchase another property and have enough to put into upgrades/repairs on the second purchase and repeat.
I can get into taxes on this too if you want.

So I was trying to find the “bitchy heroine” rec list but couldn’t find it but I did find a gifset of Norrington who has had a chokehold on me since I was 13. Any recs where the hero is like him? Repressed proper asshole that reaaaaaallly needs to get laid and preferably by someone who he finds improper/annoying and just can’t STAND THE ATTRACTION he has for them?
I really need to find a way to tag things more specifically other than "book recs" I'm sorry :(
I did make this post about controversial heroines on Instagram!
But yes!!! Norrington Type Heroes:
Rules for a Proper Governess by Jennifer Ashley is THIS. The hero is a stern, uptight lawyer with a strong sense of property and morality, and he basically ends up picking a local pickpocket girl (who's been lowkey stalking him) because his troublesome kids love her. And so he hires her as a governess. It's very "Captain Von Trapp if Maria was a Menace and he only had two kids". I think they call him like, the Scottish Hammer or something, and it's meant to be the Hammer of JUSTICE but she's like "WHAT DOES IT DO THO". He also has a massive oral fixation.
The Chief by Monica McCarty. The hero is very cold and stern and businesslike, and he ends up in an arranged/kinda forced marriage with this girl, who he doesn't exactly find annoying or improper, but he does find a distraction from WORK, which is DIFFICULT for him because he needs to WORK and not BONE.
Never Seduce a Duke by Vivienne Lorret lol. The hero wears glasses, is very stodgy and focused on figuring out the recipe for this... magical food elixir thing... and the heroine is wild, and he ends up thinking she stole his Arthurian recipe book from him (she didn't) and follows her across Europe. She bugs him sooo much.
Hotel of Secrets by Diana Biller. Uptight virginal spy guy on a MISSION (he's celibate because feelings distract from the job among other things) stays in a Viennese hotel run by the more casual, very sexy, experienced heroine. She pushes all his buttons and he's always running in to save her from zany murder plots. There's also a scene where's masturbating while thinking of him, but like, she didn't realize the door was open, and she looks up and he's watching and he goes "don't. stop." and I did gasp when I read it.
If you're down for trying an M/M historical, Something Fabulous by Alexis Hall is a hilarious romcom in which the uptight (virgin!) duke proposes to the woman he was always supposed to, because he's very proper and there are Expectations, and she's like lmao fuck you and runs off so he has to chase her down with the help of her frivolous and wild twin brother. This book's humor is basically mined from Valentine (the duke) being soooooo stuffy and repressed, and Bonny (the twin guy) being whimsical and free.
The Earl I Ruined by Scarlett Peckham. Local uptight earl who's a Secret Freak gets his reputation ruined by his best friend's flighty and gossipy little sister (he's also always been secretly in love with her). She spreads a rumor that he's into submission which... is not his kink of choice.

I am BEGGING people that have a choice to think about divorce when they are deciding to get married. Most people think “oh, if you are thinking about divorce, you WANT to relationship to fail!”
No.
What I mean is, you should think “is 6 months of dating enough for me to decide I wanna be with this person forever?”
“If we broke up 7 times before getting engaged, should I legally tie myself to this person?”
“Are I AND my partner both emotionally mature enough to fight for this relationship when things start to get tough, or do we tend to cut and run?”
“Have I and my partner ever been in an important argument? Do I know how they would act in that situation? And am I ok with it?”
“Do I or my partner have an aversion to apologizing for our mistakes? Especially when it comes to each other?”
“Is the emotional and physical labor of our relationship balanced? Am I ok with our current dynamic?”
“Do I know the marital property division/alimony/child custody laws in my state/country?”
And no, I’m not saying that the above examples are always reasons to not marry someone. My sister was on/off with her BF before they married and they’ve been happily married for years. People CAN make mistakes and learn from them and grow. But if the answer to the above questions is “no or idk” just THINK about it some more. I’m not saying “don’t marry this person because you answered ‘no’ to one of these questions;” I am just asking, for the love of all that’s good for you, for you to sit down and CONTEMPLATE. Get opinions from other people that genuinely care about you.
I have seen people treat divorce like it’s just gonna be a “tough breakup” and no man. If y’all ain’t agreeing on how to split your stuff up? You gotta get the court involved to decide what is and isn’t marital property and to decide who gets what.
You got a joint bank account? Marital property.
You bought a house/car while married to this person? Marital property.
You bought/inherited a house before you married and after you married you put your spouse’s name on the deed? Depending on where you are? Transmuted marital property.
Your retirement/pension/401k? Possible marital property.
And if you get lawyers involved? What’s the initial retainer gonna be to even start the case? (Probably thousands) What’s the attorney’s hourly rate? (Probably hundreds)
Does your state/country required mediation before a contested trial? If so, that’s more $$$.
Do you have kids together? Can you agree on a custody/visitation schedule that is going to be best for your kids (not you - custody/visitation should never be about what works best for you unless it is also best for the child)? Or are you or your partner the type to use your children as leverage in a court case?
Can’t agree on custody/visitation? You may have to hire a Guardian to represent the best interests of the children. That’s more $$$.
This isn’t some attempt at legal advice, it’s just common sense. Please THINK before making big life decisions. Just loving someone isn’t a good enough excuse alone to legally bind yourself to them.

Why Law Firms in Toronto Trust Legal Search Firms for Confidential Hiring
The legal industry in Toronto is fiercely competitive. Law firms and corporations need the best legal talent to maintain their reputations, serve their clients, and stay ahead in a constantly evolving field. However, hiring for legal positions—particularly high-level or sensitive roles—often comes with challenges that require a strategic and confidential approach.
Legal search firms in Toronto have become invaluable partners in navigating these complexities. Whether it’s ensuring discretion during the recruitment process, identifying top-tier candidates, or aligning hires with organizational culture, these firms provide expertise that Toronto law firms rely on for their most critical hires.
The Challenges of Hiring in Toronto’s Legal Market
Toronto’s legal market is one of the most dynamic in North America. With the city’s standing as Canada’s business and legal hub, law firms and in-house legal departments are constantly vying for top-tier talent. But this competitive environment presents unique challenges:
High Demand for Specialized Skills: Lawyers with expertise in niche areas like intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions are in high demand but can be challenging to find.
Confidential Hiring Needs: Hiring for senior legal positions or replacing an underperforming employee often requires utmost discretion to protect the firm’s reputation and maintain operational stability.
Cultural Alignment: Beyond technical qualifications, firms need lawyers who seamlessly integrate into their teams and uphold their values.
These challenges explain why many organizations turn to legal search firms in Toronto to manage the recruitment process.
The Value of Confidentiality in Legal Recruitment
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of legal recruitment, particularly for executive-level roles. A mishandled hiring process can damage relationships with existing employees, alert competitors, or cause unnecessary concern among clients.
Legal search firms are uniquely equipped to handle these sensitive situations with care:
Discreet Candidate Outreach: Instead of publicly posting job openings, legal recruiters tap into their extensive networks to identify and approach potential candidates quietly.
Protecting Employer Reputation: Search firms act as intermediaries, keeping the hiring organization’s identity confidential until the right stage of the process.
Managing Transitions: When replacing a senior team member, search firms help manage the transition to ensure minimal disruption to the firm’s operations.
Working with a legal search firm ensures confidentiality throughout the recruitment process for law firms in Toronto.
Why Legal Search Firms Excel at Finding Top Talent
Toronto legal recruiters offer a unique combination of industry expertise and recruitment skills, making them ideal partners for firms seeking to secure the best candidates.
Deep Industry Knowledge: Legal recruiters understand the nuances of the legal market, from emerging practice areas to shifting candidate expectations.
Access to Passive Talent: Many highly qualified lawyers aren’t actively seeking new roles but may be open to the right opportunity. Recruiters leverage their networks to connect with these passive candidates.
Rigorous Screening Processes: Besides reviewing resumes, legal recruiters assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit to ensure they meet the client’s needs.
Expedited Hiring Timelines: Recruiters streamline the search process, allowing firms to fill critical roles faster without compromising on quality.
By working with legal recruitment specialists, Toronto law firms gain access to a talent pool and expertise that traditional hiring methods can't match.
The Role of Cultural Fit in Legal Hiring
Technical expertise is non-negotiable in legal hiring, but it’s not the only factor that matters. A lawyer’s ability to integrate into a firm’s culture can significantly impact their success and longevity in the role.
Legal search firms take a holistic approach to hiring, focusing on both skills and cultural fit:
Understanding Firm Values: Recruiters invest time in understanding the client’s mission, values, and team dynamics to find candidates who align with their culture.
Assessing Soft Skills: Recruiters evaluate the soft skills that are critical for success in legal roles, from communication and leadership to adaptability.
Ensuring Long-Term Compatibility: Search firms help reduce turnover and build stronger teams by matching candidates with firms where they can thrive.
Cultural fit isn’t just about avoiding conflicts—it’s about creating an environment where both the firm and the lawyer can achieve their full potential.
Partner with Experts for Your Legal Recruitment Needs
Hiring top legal talent in Toronto requires more than just posting a job ad and reviewing applications. The complexities of the legal market, the need for discretion, and the importance of cultural fit make it essential to have the right partner in your corner.
Legal search firms in Toronto specialize in navigating these challenges, offering unparalleled expertise, confidentiality, and access to top-tier candidates. Whether you’re looking to fill a niche legal role or hire a senior executive, working with a trusted recruiter can make all the difference.

Reasons for Hiring a Whitestone Estate Planning Lawyer: Protect your legacy today!
Have you ever thought about what would happen to your assets and loved ones if something were to happen to you unexpectedly? It’s not the most comfortable topic, but it’s an important one. Many people put off estate planning because it seems complicated or something to deal with "later." However, without proper planning, your family could face unnecessary stress and financial hardship. That’s where an estate planning attorney in Whitestone comes in.
What Does an Estate Planning Attorney Do?
An estate planning attorney specializes in helping you organize your assets and wishes so that your loved ones are taken care of after you’re gone. This process includes drafting documents like wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. These legal documents ensure that your property is distributed according to your wishes, that your children are cared for, and that someone you trust will make important decisions on your behalf if you’re unable to do so.
Actionable Tips for Estate Planning
Here are a few practical steps you can take right now to start planning your estate:
Start with a Will: A will is the foundation of any estate plan. It outlines how your assets will be distributed and who will be responsible for carrying out your wishes. Without a will, the state of New York will decide how your assets are divided, which may not align with your desires.
Consider a Trust: If you have substantial assets or want to ensure that your estate avoids probate (a lengthy legal process), a trust might be the right option. A trust allows you to set conditions for how and when your assets are distributed, which can be particularly useful for minor children or beneficiaries who may not be ready to manage a large inheritance.
Assign a Power of Attorney: This document allows someone you trust to make financial and legal decisions on your behalf if you’re unable to do so. It’s a crucial part of your estate plan that ensures your affairs are managed according to your wishes.
Don’t Forget Healthcare Directives: A healthcare directive, or living will, lets you specify your preferences for medical care if you’re unable to communicate them. This can include decisions about life support and other critical care choices.
Case Study: Organizing for Mental Calm
Consider the story of the Thompsons, a Whitestone family who recently worked with an estate planning attorney after a close family friend passed away without a will. They saw firsthand the stress and complications that arose from not having an estate plan. By working with an experienced attorney, the Thompsons were able to create a comprehensive estate plan that covered all bases—from guardianship for their young children to a detailed trust that avoided probate. Now, they have peace of mind knowing their family is protected.
Conclusion: Take Control of Your Future
Estate planning is about more than just dividing assets; it’s about ensuring your loved ones are cared for and your wishes are honored. Working with an estate planning attorney in Whitestone is the best way to make sure everything is handled correctly. Don’t wait—start planning today and protect your legacy for tomorrow.

A storm starts a turn of events...
Caliban stood and stared at the closed door to Adira’s room for a full minute after she’d gone in. His cheek still tingled from the chaste kiss she’d given him on the cheek. This woman kept causing confusion within him. He walked over to Lars. “Make sure no one goes in other than her or I. NO. ONE.” Lars nodded and looked a little confused, but he knew that Caliban never did or said things without reason.
Once he had gotten into his room, Caliban shed his jacket, tie, and vest. Cufflinks were deposited in a dish atop his dresser before he began to remove his dress shirt. All the while, he was pulling up his emails and texts regarding the situation with Mircea on his tablet. It seemed the other man didn’t give a damn who killed his wife, as long as she was dead. It was a situation that still mystified Caliban after having spent the better part of the day with the woman. Granted, they’d only been “married” for a few hours, but he had to wonder what could have happened to have so soured the one between Mircea and Riona that the man wanted her dead, not divorced…DEAD.
To that end, he sent a couple of messages to launch inquiries into their relationship and the evolution of it. He wanted to know how it reached the stage it was at and all the details that could come back to affect him. It would not change Caliban’s mind about anything, but it could change his strategy for the future. Knowing your enemy was always the best approach to any situation. He had learned that early on in life from his father, and it was something he always practiced.
Then some additional news started rolling in from Theron. His best friend was filling him in on his real first impressions of Adira and the interactions both men had with her during the evening. While he expected a critical eye and lawyer’s sharp analysis, which he did receive; he hadn’t expected Theron to be as complimentary of not only her beauty, but also her intelligence. Rarely was Theron as impressed by someone’s business acumen as he was Adira’s. So impressed was he that he suggested that if there ever was a "divorce" that Adira should remain on with the operations under himself, because he believed with what he had said more than once that evening, she would be an asset. He’d have her move to working from the office as his assistant, and move to his guest house. A pang of jealousy hit him in the chest at the thought of her living even on Theron’s property, which caused him to blow out a breath and shake his head. Yes, he was losing his mind.
Then came some early intel on her marriage to Mircea. It seemed that the house staff had adored her, but reported that Mircea allowed his men to be cruel to her, even in his presence. No one had seen kindness or affection between them in over five years, but everyone well knew that you did not walk out of a marriage like theirs. There was only one way she was getting out, and that was the way she had. Reading more details of abuse the staff had witnessed, which Caliban was sure was only the very least of it, caused him to look over to the closed door that joined their rooms. The conditions that she had been kept in down in the basement of that house seemed kind compared to what he was reading from his best friend. It had him flexing his hands to and from fists and wanting to cause great pains to the man who he had been hired by originally.
As Caliban read over the first part of Theron’s message a few more times, a smile formed on his face as he looked at the door again thinking of the beauty on the other side; and it stayed in place as he looked back at his tablet and responded that he did have to thank Theron for the proposal of marriage to her after all. Without his help, the gem of a woman might have slipped through his fingers and ended up as just Theron’s assistant. Instead he had been blessed. While to someone else, it might have seemed flattery, Theron would know he meant every word.
Looking through some of the other information that had been sent to him, he saw other contracts being offered and other targets that were up for discussion. It would be two weeks before he would be considering any new targets or clients, he did have a honeymoon to partake in. Still he read through them to see keep up on all that was going on in the greater world around him. After their trip, it would be back to business and he would see the true metal of Adira. As he headed to the shower, he thought she'd be like Damascus Steel, strong and uniquely beautiful…and his.
Just as Caliban was getting ready to turn in, he heard the rumble of thunder. Somehow that seemed fitting as an end to the day that had been tumultuous to say the least, and the rain would wash things clean. He had just started to pull back the covers when a lightning strike near the mansion lit his room up even brighter than the two lamps he had on had it, and the almost instantaneous cacophony of thunder seemed to shake the walls. It would be a wonder if they had all the trees on the estate by morning.
Before the roll of thunder had stopped echoing, from the adjoining room he heard Adira scream. Knowing that no one could have gotten in with Lars standing guard in the hallway, he left his pistol on the bedside table and went running into the room. It was predictable what the cause was, the thunder clap had made him jump and he’d been awake to see the flash of the lightning. He also hadn’t been kidnapped, held hostage, and then rescued in the middle of a firefight by a complete stranger just over 12 hours prior; a stranger whose house he was now sleeping in and fake married to.
As he burst through the door that joined the bedrooms, he saw Lars was already at the bedside with one hand holding both of hers as his other one smoothed over her hair and side of her face. Not having to cross a room as Caliban had, the guard had gotten to her quicker and was already working on calming her. From what the other man was saying to her, Caliban had been right as to the cause of the distress and scream. Another similar lightning strike had all three of them jumping. Looked like it was going to be that kind of night.
“Adira,” Caliban kept his voice low and his tone understanding, even as he was once more finding a blow to the chest of jealousy he couldn’t quite understand. He waited till she turned her attention from Lars before continuing, keeping the same tone and slightly balling his fists, as he wished those were his hands on her not Lars’. “If you would prefer not to be alone during the storm, either Lars or I can keep you company for the night. There is a sofa in here. Neither of us would mind. You have had a rather…upsetting day.” The corners of his mouth rose slightly, causing the corners of his eyes to crease just a little. He fought to keep his expression soft, he was worried about the poor woman and found he cared more for her than he would normally acknowledge. The next day he would see if she would consent to talking to someone professionally, there were those who specialized in the world he lived in.
Adira looked between the two men. She felt like a fool for screaming over thunder, but she had been afraid there were more guns or bombs, and it was a raid on the mansion like the one on the house she’d been held in. Mircea could find out she was alive and come for her. It was her greatest fear. “I don’t want to be trouble, Caliban, Lars. I feel so silly having upset you both. I was just asleep. And the thunder, it sounded like a gun… And this morning… And, Mircea… I just thought..” As her upset grew, her breathing increased in speed, tears building in her eyes. Both men saw her fingers twitching in Lars’ hand as she fought with her nerves and emotions that were rolling like a tempest within her mind.
“Miss, you have nothing to feel bad about. It was loud and startling for me and I was awake.” Lars told her, gently squeezing her hands and giving her a reassuring look. He did not know who this friend of his boss was, but he did recognize the name Mircea. There was only one, and he was a sadistic bastard. If this woman had been a victim of his, it meant nothing good and he could understand her fear. It might also explain why she was sleeping next to Caliban.
“Lars is right, Adira. Your day started out in the middle of a firefight,” even though he was looking at Adira, Caliban didn’t miss Lars’ head whipping around to look at him with brows raised, “so it is understandable that you would be on edge. I promise you that neither Lars nor I will let anyone harm you from now on.” As he spoke, Caliban’s voice became more firm and resolute, but he kept his expression soft. He meant every single word.
Adira nodded, then looked between them once more. “Okay. If…if one of you doesn’t mind staying. I mean..if it’s not a problem. I just..” Her breath stuttered as her eyes closed and she tried to calm her racing heart. She was safe, both Lars and Caliban were showing and telling her this. Still, she felt like she was a burden and a bother and she hated it.
“Boss, I’ll take point in the hall again, why don’t you stay.” Lars offered. He had a feeling that there was something special going on. No one stayed in the room next to Caliban, ever. So for this woman to, there was a reason and it was not one that he wanted to step in the middle of, especially if Mircea Kalavati was concerned.
“Thank you, Lars. We will speak in the morning. You are from now on to be Mrs. Andros’ personal security.” Caliban took a deep breath and nodded toward his bodyguard. Might as well clue Lars in on who the woman in the bed was, more than just her first name. It would be around the mansion soon enough.
Lars’ brow rose as he looked between them. Mrs. Andros? That explained it; as well as why Theron had suddenly been at the mansion. Life with Caliban was rarely boring. “Of course, sir. Would be my pleasure.” He turned his head back to Adira. “Rest easy, ma’am, I will let no one harm you, especially Mr. Kalavati.” He gently squeezed her hand before rising and bowing slightly towards her, then Caliban and exiting the room. The door closed behind him with a soft click.
Caliban crossed the room to sit on the edge of the bed. “Do you want something to help you sleep? I have some Benadryl in my bathroom. Nothing heavy or narcotic, just something to help relax you?” He took her hand, watching her face very carefully as he replaced Lars on the side of the bed. If he could have, he would have drawn her onto his lap to comfort her, but that seemed a bit presumptuous.
Adira shook her head, she didn’t want to cloud her thinking. Even something as benign as Benadry might be too much. “No, thank you. I appreciate it. I hate being a burden on you.” She gave him a weak smile. “Are you regretting not just having done your job yet?’ Sighing, she raised her brows a little then dropped her eyes to their joined hands, noticing he had put on the signet ring as his wedding ring. He didn’t have to do that, she thought as her fingers lightly ran over
“Excuse me?” Caliban almost couldn’t believe that she’d asked the question, but then he thought about it. Of course she’d wonder, she knew the kind of lifestyle he lived, that her husband lived. He gently took her chin between his thumb and forefinger, raising her chin to look at him. “I do not regret it one drop. Why would you think that?”
“You now have a fake marriage to explain to people, a screaming woman in your house in the middle of the night, me in general to take care of, all coming about in one day from that decision. I’m not sure I see your upside.” She sighed, her eyes dropping to look at his chest. Caliban’s fingers were still under her chin, or her head would have dropped too.
“Adira, sweetheart,” that got her eyes to raise to look at him again, “I told you what my benefits are. You are a brilliant business woman. You even impressed Theron, and that isn’t easy to do. You are going to be a huge asset to our operations. I had a wonderful evening, so I am going to have a beautiful woman keeping me company who I thoroughly enjoyed my first evening with, even if it was discussing nothing but business. I’m being forced to take a vacation to, what was it you said, somewhere tropical? So a tropical vacation with the same beautiful and engaging woman. I would say those are some pretty big positives.” He leaned forward and kissed her forehead gently, inhaling the delicate remnants of her perfume. “And all that on the first day, I have a feeling I’ll find more as we go forward that will be just as enchanting. You are not being a burden. You are going to be earning a salary shortly, and Lars was right about the lightning and thunder. We were awake and it was still startling. I was not surprised it upset you, and it doesn’t bother me that it did. I was worried about you when I heard the scream.” Caliban’s eyes were full of compassion as he looked at her. Why was she affecting him like this? Did he care?
“Thank you.” Her cheeks pinkened even more. “I guess I just don’t know how to act when someone isn’t yelling at me. It’s been kind of a thing for a while.” Her eyes dropped again before rising to meet his once more. “Just please be patient, Caliban. Things with Mircea were…difficult.” Adira gave a small smile and a shrug, looking a little uncomfortable with the topic in general. For so long she had hidden how things were behind closed doors. To actually say these things scared her somewhat, especially now knowing that originally he had been hired by Mircea.
“You have nothing to apologize for. Now try to get some rest. I’m going to get a pillow and blanket for the couch. Just married a few hours, and already I’m relegated to the couch.” He winked, then squeezed her hand as he got up.

spn aus you say..... (please tell everything I am begging)
GIGGLING LIKE AN IDIOT!!!!! OKAY!!!!! warning this is a really long post kgjhjkgrjkd.
i've got 11 so far, but two of em (rvbnatural and spidernatural) barely have anything. rvbnatural is spn guys in the red vs. blue universe with dean, sam, and my oc jaime being a part of a special elite military project, similar to project freelancer in rvb. it's in the 2550s so it's set in same time frame as the halo games do. spidernatural is the spn guys in some sort of spiderverse, idk if it's like itsv/atsv or what, but it WAS inspired by atsv coming out. azazel is a spider demon guy wanting to take over the world with spider demon kids. he gives baby sam some spider demon blood and then little dean comes in and tries to protect him and he ends up bitten. both of them end up with spider powers and are spider-men.
but then i've got more in-depth aus! my most recent one is a modern au where jaime's family and dean's were next door neighbors for about their whole lives. jaime had to witness john abusing and neglecting his kids, and eventually he just decided he wasn't fucking having it anymore. he tricks john into coming into the woods and beats him to death with his baseball bat. garth is there and he helps bury the body.
john's sudden disappearance gets chalked up to be him going missing, sam and dean (and maybe adam, idk if he's gonna be here yet or not) go to live with bobby, and jaime thinks his problems are over. he and garth never speak of it again.
UNTIL several years later when some kids were digging around in the woods and they dug up john's body. it was obvious that john was murdered, his case is reopened. jaime becomes the main suspect. cas is going to be his defense lawyer.
there's my farmer au. sam and dean were born and raised on the winchester farm, being basically the only ones who worked there outside of their father. sam eventually goes to college, and john has to hire a farmhand. dunno who it is yet, but a few years later, that farmhand quit right before harvest time, so now it's just him and dean. he orders dean to make ads and put them up so that they can get a new farmhand.
enter jaime, who has just moved to their area of texas. he's never been living out of his guardians' house and though he thought moving across the state to be on his own was a good idea, he's sort of scrambling because he didn't have a real plan. he sees the ad and though he's never done farm work before, he has done manual labor and he figures he can pick up on this stuff fairly well.
plus, in exchange for working, he also gets to live in the farmhouse on the property, and he doesn't have to pay for food or rent (though he DOES get less pay due to this). he figures this is a pretty good deal, and ends up going to apply for the job. he gets it, despite the fact john doesn't like that he's kind of scrawny. (he reflects that dean's always been on the leaner side and he gets the job done "okay", and this is also the best he's got, so he has to go with it).
jaime and dean quickly become best friends--they're working together side-by-side almost all day, almost every day. come harvest time, dean and jaime are tasked with selling their crop at the farmer's market.
enter cas, the youngest of a wealthy family who has always been big buyers in the winchester crop. cas and dean have had fleeting encounters and both have a crush on each other tbh. jaime sees cas for the first time when cas comes to their stall on his first day at the farmer's market and definitely understands where dean was coming from.
next i've got my modern au that's got dean as a famous music artist. tbh i don't have so much for this one, but basically, dean is a music artist and he's been hitting a writer's block (or whatever you call it for songwriting) but something makes him remember his high school best friends/crushes (jaime and cas) and he ends up writing a song about them. and he doesn't use any pronouns in the song referring to them, and TECHNICALLY both "jaime" and "cas" can be considered gender neutral, so while the song is a huge hit once he releases it, there's also lots of discussion/controversy about it because "okay so are these two people girls or guys??? or one's a girl and one's a guy???" but it's funny because it's none of the above, jaime and cas are both non-binary. but anyways both jaime and cas end up hearing it on the radio and they're both like "oh my fuck he remembers me…"
and they've been living their separate lives far away from each other for many years but now they all begin reminiscing their high school "friendship" (they were all extremely gay for each other) and debate whether to try contacting each other again. i mean, dean wrote a song about them and it became a big hit and is currently being played all across the country right now. it would kinda make sense to do so. and they're all kinda missing each other, which they dismiss as nostalgia but it's really a lot more than that.
so jaime and cas find each other and then decide to attend to dean's next concert, bc he's on tour rn. they somehow get dean to notice them in the crowd (jaime's gonna do smth stupid prolly) and dean sees them and is SO HAPPY and he puts his whole pussy into that concert. and then they reunite and are all super happy to see each other again. and they can't just ignore dean's confession in the song.... they all end up getting together again, it's good.
next my merfolk au!!! MY FAVORITE HEHEHE!!! jaime and cas are two merpeople who live on the coast, next to an older fisherman's cabin owned by bobby. i'm not sure if in this au, merpeople are social beings in the way they live in pods or not, but either way, cas and jaime are rejected by basically anyone (cas is too weird, jaime is too aggressive (protective of cas!!!)) other than gabriel, who is cas' guardian, and then jaime's once he comes around (jaime's parents died, jaime ran (swam) away from the rest of his family and got lost, then found by cas).
dean has been visiting bobby's place since he was a little kid, and the first time jaime and cas saw him, they were instantly fascinated. they'd never seen a human their age before. jaime wanted to introduce themselves to dean but cas was shy and not ready so jaime was cool with that. they stuck to hanging out with bobby when sam and dean weren't there.
fast forward 15-20 some years. jaime gets captured by fishermen and sold to a freak show. cas comes up on land disguised as a human and begs dean for help (bobby's in town rn). it takes a while but with sam's help they're able to locate and rescue jaime. by this time, dean knows about cas and jaime being merpeople, and he's definitely awestruck by them when he sees them both in trueform. and they're both fascinated by him, which he finds embarrassing, because he doesn't believe beings so magnificent should find him, a measly human, fascinating.
then there's my dystopian/post-apocalypse au!!! cas lives in a glass-encased bunker that's been the "one safe place" since earth's nuclear fallout nearly 100 years before. dean and jaime are two people living outside the bunker, otherwise known as purgatory. jaime and dean have been best friends their whole lives and have gone through literally everything together--losing their parents, raising their little siblings (in jaime's case, cousin, but jackie has always been more like a sister to jaime rather than a cousin).
jaime, dean, sam, and jackie all go out searching for the bunker, wanting to see the real thing. they've heard stories about it, and the oldest people they've met remember being rejected from entering the bunker during the fallout due to the bunker being "too full". it takes years, but they do find it. cas sees them, and cas, who has been obsessed with learning all he can about purgatory for basically his whole life, is bursting with excitement about finding people on the outside.
chuck, cas' dad and the president of all the people in the bunker, is just SO MAD that his son found the outsiders before his people did. because see, ever since the higher-ups of the bunker realized there was still people surviving outside, they began to capture them, bring them secretly to secret labs, and basically experiment on them to find out how they can survive outside the bunker until they die. chuck did not stop this tradition when he became president and found out about all this.
so basically, chuck tries to find an excuse to get these four outsiders to "disappear" so that he can get them to his private labs to experiment on. there's a problem, because cas is attached to them, to two in particular really. and cas doesn't know about what chuck's doing--if he did, he wouldn't stand for it. so chuck has to try to do all he wants while keeping it hidden from cas. it doesn't end up working btw.
i've got my hunter!jaime au, which is basically what jaime's life would've been like if he'd grown up knowing about the supernatural. there is SO MUCH i have for it, i cannot put it all here, but i CAN make separate posts about it if you want me to!!!
i've got two soulmate aus--a soulmate tattoo au and a soulmate journal au. in the soulmate tat one, it's a lot like your usual au with this trope--you've got your soulmate's name tattooed to you somewhere. but sometimes, people are born with more than one name on them, or none at all, and those with more than one are mostly shunned by society, while those with none are pitied. jaime, cas, and dean all have two, ofc, and grow up with different reactions to it--jaime gets it an accepting family, though they're a little misguided in their support ("he's confused, but he's got the spirit" sort of deal). cas' is an outcast at school for it, and half his brothers despise him for it while the other half do their best to make sure he knows he's not alone. then dean gets the shittiest bit, with his godawful father hating him and definitely mistreating him for this. i'm using this au to be a thing in support of polyamorous and ace individuals, and i just hope i can do good with my representation.
then with the soulmate journal au, every baby has a journal pop up when they're born that they can use to communicate with their soulmate/s. jaime and cas talk with each other for several years and think only they are each other's soulmates, but dean is also their soulmate--john just confiscated his journal after mary died and never let him get a hold of it. however, jaime and cas fill up their initial journal and another one appears for each of them, and that ALSO makes another one appear to dean. he gets to write to his soulmates for the first time and it's a big whirlwind for him bc woah, finally, he gets to talk to them!!! but then again, the only examples of soulmates he's seen is his dad and the awful way he handled mary's death, so dean's not the fondest of the idea. he has to keep his journal hidden so no one ever finds it and takes away what becomes one of the only highlights in his life.
finally, my last one!!! this is just a regular modern au. jaime moves into a new town and tries to fit in. he gets a job at cas' bakery, and he meets dean at the mechanics shop, and they all fall in love :] it's very nice and sweet.
I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG!!! this was a lot to type out 😭😭😭

Strange development https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/economy/real-estate/kevin-spacey-home-baltimore-foreclosure-R2MTM4NNJRBA3IHNHCEMIREGDE/
Hard to believe he can't afford the mortgage payments.
I saw this too..
I think that Kevin still has some money but we all have to understand that the multi year legal process has definitely put a large dent in his finances. He hired attorneys based in Los Angeles and London so they were NOT cheap. The MRC decision was $30M and all the lawyers probably cost a good $15M. Remember, he has not made any money since 2018 and the residuals are dropping as the years go on. He's not poor but he's definitely not as rich as he once was.
Now this is my feeling about that Baltimore pier home. When I saw the size of the home & the amenities (like a recording studio) it was clear to me that Kevin was going to use this house as an office and a residence. There were supposed to be spin off productions from House of Cards so being HQ'd in Maryland was strategic. But once his career was destroyed in late 2017, the property was no longer a necessity. Now IMHO I think Kevin overpaid for the property - he paid full asking price for the property when it was on the market for over a year with no buyers & the home didn't even come with a pier slip. Also, the property taxes on the house are VERY high and the market value of the home has declined. Owning the property is now a burden on his remaining finances and its time to let it go - especially since he's barely ever there. So this foreclosure is not a surprise to me. Its actually what may be best for him. The foreclosure will be in the LLC's name so Kevin will actually be legally protected from it.
Also, BTW, I think they're also letting that entity Clear Toaster LLC go as well. It hasn't been properly registered in years.

Contested Divorce in New York| Beckerman & Granados, PLLC
CONTESTED DIVORCE
Divorce never comes easily. Even if you and your spouse get along well and approve of the procedure, there may still be issues. Divorces where the pair has genuine hostility toward one another are even worse. These divorces are rarely straightforward and can give rise to a lot of issues for months or even years before they are ultimately resolved.
There is a good possibility that the divorce you are getting will be contested. Let’s explore what this implies and how it differs from uncontested divorces to get a better understanding. We’ll then go over a few points that can help you have a better result in these situations.
What is the Difference Between Contested and Uncontested Divorces?
Simply stated, a contested divorce occurs when the couple is unable to reach an agreement or settlement on one or more of the key issues involved in the divorce, such as child custody, child support, alimony (known as “maintenance” in New York), or property division. In these situations, the couple will require a Judge who can resolve their disputes.
On the other hand, an uncontested divorce occurs when both spouses agree to the divorce and all the aforementioned key issues have been settled between the parties. These divorces don’t necessarily need to take place in a courtroom and are frequently easier and quicker.
Contested divorces typically cost more money, take longer, and have a greater emotional impact on all parties due to their complexity. Contested divorces can have a large emotion on children as well. Children of spouses involved in contested divorces often struggle to comprehend this kind of divorce because they witness their parents’ intense animosity toward one another. This is not always the case, however it is common with these types of divorces.
Hiring a Lawyer
The first thing you should do when divorce is looming over you, whether you started the divorce or just got the documents from your spouse, is get in touch with a lawyer. Even if your spouse claims they won’t hire an advocate, you should still obtain legal counsel. When going through a divorce, a lot is on the line, so you need to make sure that you are safeguarded.
Consult a lawyer as soon as you realize you’re having a divorce. Give them a full explanation of the divorce and pay attention as they suggest any additional details that you should pay attention to. It is best to work with a lawyer as quickly as possible. If you want a favorable result from your contested divorce, hiring an attorney is unquestionably the most important thing you can do.
You might be concerned about the expense of employing a divorce lawyer. Divorce lawyers can be expensive, but consider how much you stand to lose if you do not have legal representation. Divorce proceedings can become complicated, and it is better that you have someone who fully understands the process so that you receive everything you are entitled to and do not have to give up more than you should. Your lawyer should be knowledgeable about such divorces and have expertise with them, and will always act in your best interests. Change your divorce counsel if they don’t, or for any other reason you don’t feel completely at ease with them.
Remove Emotion From The Discussion
Working with a lawyer has its benefits, one of which is that they can absorb the majority of the stress of the divorce proceedings. Although it will still be a difficult and emotionally draining time, a lawyer can help guide you through it. Instead of dwelling on any potential emotions of resentment, you can start to concentrate on what matters – getting through this difficult time ensuring that you do not have to give up anything you are entitled to.
Could Pre- or Post-Nuptial Agreements Be Beneficial?
A prenuptial or postnuptial arrangement that is already in place can frequently assist with some of the crucial issues that arise during the divorce. The judge will typically abide by the terms of that agreement, but the other side may contest it. Furthermore, not all of the problems in the divorce may be covered by these agreements. However, establishing an arrangement in advance can lessen some of the difficulties associated with divorce. Of course, not everyone has already established these arrangements.
It's Still Possible To Negotiate
Another thing to bear in mind is that there may still be room for negotiation even if your divorce is contested. You and your spouse may discover that it is simpler to concur on some issues and to make compromises so that everyone is content as the divorce process moves forward. Even though it doesn’t always work, if you and your lawyer believe it might be feasible, it is always worth trying.
