I find myself struggling to grasp the strategy behind the latest announcements. One thing I always appreciated about Kevin was his identity as an actor rather than a celebrity. His statement about wanting to thank his fans through these appearances seems a bit absurd. Appreciation for fans doesn't involve extracting money from them for an autograph. It makes me lose respect for Kevin, the actor.

Can you identify the strategy behind it?

I'm going to be honest here. Kevin hasn't worked in over 6 years. He's been forced to pay a ton of legal bills and his home is being foreclosed on. The man needs a paycheck.

Kevin still has the case pending in NY state. But interestingly, the documents to that case are all sealed.

I'm not sure if The Man Who Drew God was released. Its a very small film from an indy director. Those projects often don't get distribution.

I think Peter Five Eight is coming out later this year.

There's another project he's doing in Europe (if his Instagram sightings are perceived correctly). So the man is busy.

Because the MRC case was an arbitration, the decision stands. Kevin's lawyers tried to appeal it a few years ago, but the judge enforced it. I think his lawyers are now trying to appeal the MRC legal fees that he was ordered to pay in the arbitration decision.

The documentary appears to have been cancelled. On their main website it's no longer "in development". It has been removed.

"CD" was on the court case with Anthony Rapp and now there's a "JD" on a court case that claims they are a massage therapist. Will NY courts system make "JD" say their name? This is strange. Do you think it could be the same person? Kevin can't get a break. This is ridiculous.

I read this and was like "Huh?". Then I saw the news. He's getting sued again. Ugh.

I think that Kevin still has some money but we all have to understand that the multi year legal process has definitely put a large dent in his finances. He hired attorneys based in Los Angeles and London so they were NOT cheap. The MRC decision was $30M and all the lawyers probably cost a good $15M. Remember, he has not made any money since 2018 and the residuals are dropping as the years go on. He's not poor but he's definitely not as rich as he once was.

Now this is my feeling about that Baltimore pier home. When I saw the size of the home & the amenities (like a recording studio) it was clear to me that Kevin was going to use this house as an office and a residence. There were supposed to be spin off productions from House of Cards so being HQ'd in Maryland was strategic. But once his career was destroyed in late 2017, the property was no longer a necessity. Now IMHO I think Kevin overpaid for the property - he paid full asking price for the property when it was on the market for over a year with no buyers & the home didn't even come with a pier slip. Also, the property taxes on the house are VERY high and the market value of the home has declined. Owning the property is now a burden on his remaining finances and its time to let it go - especially since he's barely ever there. So this foreclosure is not a surprise to me. Its actually what may be best for him. The foreclosure will be in the LLC's name so Kevin will actually be legally protected from it.

Also, BTW, I think they're also letting that entity Clear Toaster LLC go as well. It hasn't been properly registered in years.

What happened to the case which Kevin opened up against MCR for taking his $30 million for false accusations? (I'm super happy today!)

That arbitration decision still stands. I know he filed a motion to get the court to relieve him from paying legal fees but I don’t know what happened with that.

Unfortunately I have no idea about the UK court system. But usually pretrial reviews are when the prosecution & defense map out the evidence.

Hey there! I hope your holidays are going well. NYC has been quite cold over the past few days. Christmas Eve was freezing 🥶. But it’s slowly getting warmer. You probably heard about the snow & cold in upstate New York. That’s around the city of Buffalo where the weather was really bad. It’s not near NYC & that city is next to Canada & the Great Lakes so it’s always much colder up there. I would really like to be in the south of France. Sounds wonderful there.

It was a hearing done remotely (I think Kevin was in Qatar). The next hearing is in January.
