had a dream i got to play the final battle of ultrakill and in it you had to metaphorically but also literally claw and rip your way through tight tunnels of muscle mass (Gabriel's heart) to reach him at the center, cutting him loose from pieces of gore for one last fight.

whats your preferred ratio of water to tea bags for cold brewing? i really want to try it bc i love iced tea but i don't like the tannin bitterness when you brew w boiled water and i'm a bit tired of buying the pre made jugs when they're the same cost as a full thing of tea bags
I’m usually aiming for the classic 1 teabag/teaspoon to 8 ish ounces of water but I don’t stress if I’m using loose leaf or have a weird sized jar from my collection that I’ve decided to use. I’ve messed around on my ratios and found it pretty forgiving! I also tend to brew smaller batches since I don’t mind doing it more often so I’m usually only using two or three teabags at a time

As fucked up as the American health system is, the one thing I am envious about is that they at least get sleeping pills. They can’t sleep. Doctor gives them a prescription for sleeping pills. They get to fucking sleep.
Meanwhile the most a German doctor musters is “have you tried setting an alarm clock in the morning to get up at the same time every day? it may take months but your sleep schedule will set itself”.
Bitch, I was awake for 40 hours the other day and I still didn’t get tired.
My sleep schedule isn’t the problem here. I mean. It also is. Because some days, I go to bed at 8AM, other days, I go to bed at 7PM and then wake up at 4AM, and sometimes I just don’t go to bed at all. Did a thing where I only slept every second night for a week because I figured surely, if I don’t sleep at all, the tired must kick in early the following evening and that way I might get my sleep schedule on.
How do you recommend me I just set my alarm clock to 8AM every day when I am usually not even asleep yet at that time and when I am telling you that I did the whole not-sleeping-at-all thing too.
It just goes beyond my comprehension, quite frankly, that humans have created medicine that helps people sleep, but German doctor are just like no, go try drinking a warm drink before going to bed and not engaging in things with a screen instead.
I just want to be able to sleep. Why is that asking too much. I go to bed at midnight, I still lay awake at 10AM, not having slept a lick.
And then my father tries being helpful and asks why I can’t sleep. Surely something serious must trouble me to keep me awake. I mean, sure, if I stay awake long enough my mind will rotate back to bad shit too, but it’s not like the bad shit is the only thing keeping me awake. I just can’t turn off my brain.
It’ll spin fanfiction, replay the day, re-evaluate that movie I watched last week, write a lengthy review about the show I finished that day, visualize whatever project I’ve been working on during the day to continue that, write a tumblr post about the most random and non-pressing matter in my head. Not all of these are current, pressing issues that keep me awake.
My mind will just find something to occupy itself with if I’m laying alone in the dark for too long. If it has to, it’ll reach far, far back and get annoyed at the shit ending of a show I watched five years ago, or get hung-up on details of a movie I watched a month ago, or start planning Christmas in January or some shit.
I just want to sleep. What’s not clicking about that.

back when i had covid the first time my roommate pointed out that an easy way to measure how well i feel is whether or not i sing in the shower
and she's not. she's not wrong. i lov to sing and i sing lots in the shower and if i Don't there is Something Wrong Probably
howeverly unforch showertime is the perfect combination of things to set me off coughing, a lingering occasional cough being my one big side effect, so it's gonna be a while until i can T_T

Evening routine ideas
A proper evening/night routine can not only help you reduce anxiety but can also be really fun! Here are some of my essentials for a calm evening, for you to take some inspo!! <3
Light a candle. My current favourite is 'pumpkin harvest' from Yankee! <3
Run yourself a relaxing bath. You can add a bath-bomb or rose paddles to make it even more relaxing!!
Do your skin/hair care. Remove your make-up, moisturise and maybe try some overnight hairstyles.
Charge your phone and any device you might need.
Care for your pets and tell them you love them. <3
Go for a walk and enjoy the cool evening air. Fresh air always calms me. :)
Put on a comfy pyjama and get a fuzzy blanket.
Catch up on some youtube videos or shows. I love watching video essays; my favourite channel is Mina Le!
Make yourself some herbal tea to calm down. Some good ones are Chamomile, Lemon balm, Peppermint and Lavender.
Finish your homework and tidy your desk. Staying organised, yk.
Try meditation if your day was stressful. <3
Read for a while and listen to some music. I'm currently reading 'My year of rest and relaxation'. Should I review it?
Update your diary or journal. List some things you're grateful for.
Meal prep for the morning. I recommend overnight Oats!
Plan ahead and ensure you have your alarm set so you don't stress in the morning.
Fluff your pillows and make your bed cosy, so you can sleep comfortably.
Try sleeping early so you get your 8 hours of beauty sleep.
