Pass the Ammo- The Little Gift
“Fight the good fight of faith” 1 Timothy 6:12 “Pass the Ammo” is a true story series of unnamed (but not unknown) soldiers for Christ who stepped out of their comfort zone to obey the Holy Spirit’s call. To stay in the fight, we’ll need all the extra rounds we can get. So, praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition! Another day, another shift. The assembly line whirs and spins, the only marker…

“For example, there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name, saying: “I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number.” Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised. Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.” —Hebrews 6:13-20 (NLT)
“We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We often don’t know what to do, but we don’t give up. We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed.” —2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (ERV)
“Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.” —Romans 12:12 (NLT)
“It is the hope of Christ that makes it possible for us to persevere in times of tribulation save distress.” —R.C. Sproulm

this a bit late but I saw ur tags on that sp easter episode gifset "not my ass pulling a stan at the tender age of six" - I'm so curious what ur easter questioning origins were 👀
i was (…am?) a lil insane growing up, like ok, I have memories of telling everyone in my kindergarten class that santa wasn’t real and wouldn’t care if they cried, bc they HAD to know the truth like, how could santa deliver those gifts in one night? why does he only give gifts to kids in america/ with enough wealth? You can still love the specials, and the holiday, the characters of the santa mythos, but believing a lie told by adults just didn’t sit right with me. also bc my parents told me he wasn’t real lol. (listen. my mom grew up very very poor. My grandma told my tias and tio that Santa wasn’t real, and only existed for the gringos with money jfkfkfjf) so. yeah my religiously zealous ass is the preface for even more religiously zealous stuff
so I grew up as a conservative christian girl that read the bible like a storybook every night, but I also have memories of questioning everything, it drove everyone crazy. I would hound my pastors after service with new questions someone my age wouldn’t usually have? I knew they thought it was kinda annoying if not mildly cute but I needed answers for every goddamn thing. Easter traditions bein one of them 😅 Now, I was raised very traditionally, as in, we examined good friday and went to a long Easter service and then, that’s it. Eggs, Rabbits were worldly, and had nothing to do with Christ, and tbh the most my fam enjoyed was the after church carne asada and the trip to walmart the coming monday to get discounted candy to munch on thru summer lolol. But I asked my classmates and teachers at school like at what point did easter become abt eggs? so if you’re not christian then, what exactly are you celebrating? You’re just doing elaborate stuff to eat candy. what’s the true purpose of the bunny? where did this originate? and everyone was like, just paint ur damn plastic egg for class Cel, you’re 6. 😂😅
Well that’s done and over with and I’m completely sane now. Also I did not paint and properly prep my first easter egg and participate in an egg hunt until last year with some friends and it was cute lol.
#cel speaks#when i say i was crazy i mean that at 9 i almost tried learning hebrew bc i could not stand knowing that there was knowledge in the bible#that was untranslatable and therefore inaccessible to english readers#i was like. I would Simply Not Know things? I cannot find the source of it myself?? NO!!#but also I was nine and got fixated on sonic and barbie and shit so that faded very quickly lol#I get why at first I seem like an ennea 5 or a 6 lol the panic that comes not fully mastering one’s craft is a key#5w6/6w5 bit i’ll admit#cel answers#sorry for the long rant tldr: the origin of this? there is no origin. I was (am) just like this hfkfh I Be Questioning Shit#but also i would play devils advocate (if h could call it that?) and tell my pastors like#‘well if we put up trees#and wrap presents for christmas#yet somehow turn a fucking candy cane into a christian symbol#can we not do the same for the eggs??’#and my pastors were like no christmas is different#and i never rly got a straight answer for that tbh….#i was very much an all or nothing gal like. so the church acknowledged the ‘pagan’ origins of trees but we can reclaim them and make it#christian or just a simple american Thing#but my church drew the line at putting candy crosses or verses inside the eggs alongside candy#to tie it in to jesus?

"YES, GOD CAN STILL USE YOU!"
Ephesians 2:10, “For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above – spiritually transformed, renewed, READY TO BE USED] for good words, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” (AMP) When David first arrived at…

"I'm Not Good Enough" is Only One of the Lies
“I’m not good enough” is only one of the lies we tell ourselves. Moreover, this is what I told myself most of my life along with other lies like “You’re not good enough”, “You’ll never amount to anything”, “You’re too fat”, “You’re not pretty enough”, and the like. What Lies Do You Tell Yourself? I guess the point that I’m trying to make is that these are lies. So, why did I continue to believe…

If You Want to Discover God's Will, Here's What You Should DO
Ever wish you could know God’s will for your life, right up front? No more wishing or guessing about what the Lord might want for the rest of your life? Wouldn’t it make things easier if we knew exactly what God wanted us to do? Great news! The Bible says there are ways we can discover what that is. It’s not really too complicated, and the principles about finding God’s will are something you’ve…

Revelation 21: How Firm a Foundation
There are several clues in John’s vision of a voluminous golden city descending through the sky that lead the reader to believe it symbolizes spiritual truths. #Revelation21 #NewJerusalem #TwelveFoundations #PearlyGates
There are several clues in John’s vision of a voluminous golden city descending through the sky that lead the reader to believe it symbolizes spiritual truths. In comparison to Babylon—portrayed as a woman of excesses—the bride motif of new Jerusalem symbolizes the far superior role as Christ’s beloved, than as the world’s. The purity and luminosity of the precious materials in the city’s…

Understanding the Fear of God: Impact on Faith and Wisdom
It is vital to rest in God's love, but that love is best understood when seen against the backdrop of His awe-inspiring greatness and our own need for His mercy. This perspective doesn’t just comfort us; it transforms us, grounding us in true wisdom that
Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash Introduction Proverbs 9:10-12 provides profound insights into the interconnectedness of the fear of God, faith, wisdom, and God’s love. These verses emphasize that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that understanding leads to a fulfilling life. To fully grasp the depth of these concepts, it’s essential to explore related scriptures and their…

WHOOOOAAAAHHHHH!!!! I knew nothing about the lies being told by the modern-day Pharisees regarding Covid!
Ok, so on the subject of "deserving" sickness, or poverty, or whatever- there's a WHOLE chapter in the Bible where Jesus disproves this nonsense. It's John 9, the one where He healed a man who was born blind. And when the man was healed, he went to show himself to the priests and scribes. And they put him down and cast him out of the synagogue. Basically, they blacklisted him from all of society. Their reasoning? "If you were born blind, then you must have sinned in the womb!"
The man knew different, because when Jesus healed him, He told him, basically, "No, it doesn't work that way. You weren't born blind because of sin, but because God wanted to reveal Himself to the world through you."
As for the comment that "you must have done something in a past life"- THAT IS COMPLETELY UNSCRIPTURAL!
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27
That "past life" stuff is reincarnationism, which is 100% incompatible with salvation and resurrectionism. If someone says they're a Christian and starts talking about "past lives" or anything reincarnation-y, don't believe another word they say. They clearly don't know Jesus, because they clearly don't understand what the Bible says about how life and death and salvation work.
Predestination is a topic I will have to cover in its own post one of these days. Suffice it to say that I don't believe God lays out all our lives with no freedom of choice. He knows what the future holds for all of us, and sometimes He does do/allow things that push us to the point where we have to make a choice- but the choice is ours to make.
The history of America is something else I want to explore in posts of their own. It's not all cut and dry, and there is a lot of evil mixed in with the good. (And no, I don't believe the Pilgrims were "good, kind, sweet, God-fearing people." I've heard too much about the Puritans, as well as the European side of the story, to believe that our 1st-3rd grade history books haven't been lying to us.)
Humans are not "inherently evil", we all have the ability to choose whether to sin or not. We were all made in God's image, so we are all, actually, "inherently good," going by the dictionary definition of "inherent"- but we all choose evil. We all choose to sin at one time or another, simply because we are only human, and we don't know everything, and this flesh is just plain hard to live in, so we make mistakes and bad choices, sometimes by accident, sometimes deliberately. Jesus came to save us because we are made in His Father's image, and therefore, we were all created to be good. We just can't figure out how to do it on our own. So Jesus came to show us the way (John 14:6).

Repentance Is and Is Not...
Repentance, from the Greek word “μετάνοια” (metanoia), signifies a profound change of mind—reshaping one’s inner disposition towards God and recognizing the completed work of Jesus Christ as the sole basis for salvation. This essay explores each New Testament reference to repentance, elucidating its true meaning beyond common misinterpretations that equate it with turning from sins or “dead…

Hebrews 4:12-13, “For the Word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
