How to avoid unaswered prayer Part 4/4
By making scriptural prayers as in Philippians 4:6-7
We have looked at various ways as to how we might avoid making prayers that appear to go unanswered. A good place to start with our prayers is by making them so that they line up with scripture such as the one in:
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication (petition), with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Here is a good scriptural approach to making scriptural prayers that God is pleased to answer.
v6 God does not want you anxious or worrying , in fact worry is a sin because it doubts Gods ability to bring a timely answer. Furthermore and importantly we ought to pray with concomitant thanking of the Lord. Here is what this looks like in practice...
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you that you have heard this prayer , and that you care about the situation and will respond at the appropriate time and manner. Amen
Here is what we can hope to happen next;
v7 the peace of God comes upon you This peace given by the Lord is beyond our ability to understand it but we can be aware that such peace guards our minds from all doubt , fear and unbelief. We can rest in the Lord once we have prayed correctly according to scripture.
This in turn boosts our faith because we have reassured ourselves that God has heard our prayer and the outcome is in his hands and that the Lord cares.
Amen

Hedge of Protection
In these tumultuous times (I used that word because of all the back-stabbing rhetoric in our politics — ugh!), it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the chaos swirling around us. The uncertainty of our world’s future, the anxiety over who will lead our nation, and the constant barrage of troubling news can make our minds feel like a stormy sea. We worry about our children and the challenges they face…

The Surprising Story of Balaam's Talking Ass
The Story of how Balaam received a message from God is pretty unusual, and if you haven’t read it before, right now is a great time to do it. If you’ve read it, and it left you scratching your head a little, it’s certainly worth a deeper look. (And yeah, I know it opens the door to bad Ace Ventura jokes and that it’s PRIMARILY referred to most often by middle school boys who say, ” the word ‘Ass‘…

Understanding the Fear of God: Impact on Faith and Wisdom
It is vital to rest in God's love, but that love is best understood when seen against the backdrop of His awe-inspiring greatness and our own need for His mercy. This perspective doesn’t just comfort us; it transforms us, grounding us in true wisdom that

Count Your Blessings - Today and Every Day
  By Rob Pue, Publisher – Wisconsin Christian News   In these times of trouble and tribulation, with all that’s happening in the world today, it’s easy to succumb to a spirit of hopelessness, despair, and grief — for the deceived, lost and perishing people around us, and yes, even for ourselves.  It’s especially grievious when those deceived, lost and perishing are people we know and love. …
