If Neil Gaiman and David Tennant are having Imposter Syndrome, you're good.
(Transcript Below)
Neil Gaiman: The first problem of any kind of even limited success, is the unshakable conviction that you are getting away with something, and that any moment now, they will discover you.
David Tennant: For me, that's what being an actor is about. Sort of going, this is all, it's all on one level, it's all just a bit silly. And I can't really believe I'm getting away with this. And at some point someone's gonna tap me on the sholder and go 'Come on, you've had your fun. Move on. There are some people who can actually do this. There are some proper actors in the world. Stop pretending, and move on. You're a little wee nae from Paisley. You don't really get to do this.
Neil Gaiman: In my case I was convinced there would a knock on the door, and a man with a clipboard – I don't know why he had a clipboard, but in my head he always had a clipboard – would be there and tell me it was all over, and they've caught up with me, and now I would have to go and get a real job. One that didn't consist of making things up and writing them down, and reading books I wanted to read. And then, I would go away quietly. And get the kind of job I would have to get up early in the morning, and wear a tie, and not make things up anymore.

old books are so funny. "oh no I had to leave the horrible city and go to the nice pristine countryside because of my delicate health! anyway this is my third cigarette of the day and it's barely noon; come back later and we can drink a truly insane amount of alcohol together and stay up all night getting self-righteous about sexual perversion and youthful hedonism."

I have seen footage of sick women and children being burned alive in a tent. Lost limbs, severe burns, 2 million people psychologically fucked up beyond belief. Any doctor coming from Gaza says roughly the same thing: “They are shooting kids deliberately in the head and won’t let food get in.”
This is not a gift.
Or if it was a gift, you’d return it quickly.

Hi! Just wanted to say real quick I love love love your game and have been silently following it for over a year. This is the first time I’m sending in an ask though haha. What does Anne think of the ROs? And has she picked up on anything from Watson in their non-platonic route?
Thank you! Have cookie ❤️🍪 (I did not have kitkat.)
Anne and Neel feel the same about the ROs and it’s like this:
L: “Who?”
A: “Who??”
H: “😖 Too intimidating.”
W: “Best person ever (except Sherlock) ✨ So nice, approachable, warm ☺️.”
MC: “😳 or 🥺”
I think, at least in an opposite gendered route, that people would be gossiping and wondering about the MC and W's closeness, whether they’re platonic or not.
But I think Anne and Neel spend more time than most (except maybe Mrs Hudson, romanced Lestrade, or pining Watson themselves) about the nature of your relationship lol.
‘🤨 was Watson just being nice when they told me to save a slice of their favourite bread for Sherlock when they woke up? Could the bread be a grand romantic gesture? 😔 I need to ask Mrs Hudson again…’

lmao sorry to everyone in my inbox, this month has been a mess and I'm just not really around enough for it. someone in my immediate family got a new cancer diagnosis, my not-art job got restructured because management is a joke and it's been.... not great, to be honest! to top it off, my mom's cousin just died because the major hospital didn't have enough beds open for the provincial hospital to transfer him. etc etc etc.
anyway. it's been a lot and I'm Very Tired Of Things Happening 🙃

Day 71/100 [01/25/2025]
Finished Genetics pre-reading work
Studied Immunology (we already have a quiz this coming week)
Lifted! Not the strongest workout I've had, but I need to get back into it and refocus on myself & my goals
Read more of Kiss Me, Judas. It's honestly not very good, but I want to challenge myself to read the rest of my books I haven't read yet

Hello Klance fans and the like!
Hey yall, does anyone here go to/have in-depth knowledge on med school? I’m writing a fic and since one of the characters goes to med school I want to make sure I have the correct info and setup for that. I would appreciate someone to be able to read over and give edits on some sections in the future and help answer questions :) please dm me if you have info/are willing to help! Also, if you don’t want to read parts of the fic and you just want to answer questions/explain the journey of becoming a doctor that would also be greatly appreciated! thx

Asking professionals in medicine, what books do you recommend the public have in their home library specific to health, medicine, first aid, etc. are there any medical books we should have on hand in case internet resources like the CDC stop communicating with the public?

Dr Who: The Brigadier is a silly military man. He's stubborn, and unflappable, and extremely loyal to the Doctor and his men (soldiers). This man can deal with anything, like a champ. Water off his back, yknow?
Lethbridge-Stewart books: This dude is getting traumatised every single day and he doesn't get a moment's break. Anything that could happen to him, will. Will he cope with the trauma? not really. He's a resilient dude, but he'll just pretend most of it didn't happen, for his own sanity
