I can say that the ball chapter (chapter 6) will be split into 3 parts! And that the next part is 6.1. Which will include from where the last chapter ended to when you arrive at the ball / first moments.

Thinking about Douchestrade and honestly one of my favourite things is the idea of Sherlock just being into L no matter what (say in an AU where Sherlocks seen L pre and post). Just L terribly embarrassed at how they used to be so cocky and MC is like:

"Lestrade you were the hottest thing I'd ever seen back then." "I was an ass, but I guess I'm now dissapoin-" "Still the most beautiful thing on earth, there is always something you which drives me wild."

Something about Sherlock being weak at the knees for Lestrade always but one accepts it whereas the other needs to be forced to see it, precisely despite/because they're the same person gets me frothing at the mouth.

I'm in love with Douche Lestrade, but I miss When Depression Hits Hard Lestrade so much that I have been looking for ¿Holmstrade? fics on tumblr. It was amazing to see a version of L that feels familiar, but is so much more confident and self assured. It made me wonder if we are ever going to see glimpses of this cocky copper in the main storyline. Main timeline L is so much more cautious, closed off and risk averse. I'm excited to find out where their route is going.

Ohhh haha how's the fanfics? I imagine it's less book Lestrade and prob the BBC one? 😗

But yes—there are moments where the more self assured Lestrade can appear again, both for good and bad purposes. I think... we're all the ages and people we have been, even when we think we have escaped them. They can creep up on us—if that makes sense? 😆

You can also help them become more confident, and find their place in life again—and they for you.

Or not.

Your choice as the player.

But they won't ever be quite that person that is in the minigame again. But maybe they can be something better? Despite all the internal scars.
