Can we see more of your cat?

Of course you can!! This is my oldest girl, who was in yesterday's post. She's an absolute cuddlebug who loves to headbutt me right in the mouth and sit on my desk while I'm trying to work until I move her onto my lap, where she will stay for hours.

She is not my only cat, however...

This is my brother's cat, but she still lives in my house. She's very noisy and thinks she's a bird, so she climbs up onto people's shoulders like a parrot whenever she can. She is also convinced she is perpetually on the verge of starvation, but what cat isn't?

My mum rescued this extremely handsome boy from a fox when he was only very smol, but now he's a majestic grown-up kitty who is very easygoing and only grumbles a little bit if you scoop him up to smooch him all over.

There is also a very good pupper to keep the cats in line. She belongs to my dad, and she's an absolute treasure.

this is silly, but go with me on it anyway: the nickname Bones is, in fact, because when they met years ago, long before Kirk ended up as Captain of the Enterprise (and long before he dragged his fave doctor onboard after him) they had a one-night stand where McCoy did, in fact bone Kirk so well that Kirk's brain kinda half-melted out his ears, and then McCoy deeply obnoxiously explained that he was not in the right headspace for anything more, and declined to sleep w/ him again, and Kirk was like, obviously I will accept your decision, but I'm still going to befriend you and also nickname you for what you're good at, so that I can not so subtly remind you of what we could be doing for the rest of our lives (yes we've only known each other for one (1) day, but I'm already planning on knowing you until we die, get on board because that's non-negotiable)

and it's like. It's genuinely fine, because McCoy would in fact die for Kirk (and attempts to do so every now and again just to prove it), so it all basically worked out, even though sometimes McCoy maybe hears the nickname and is just ".......it's definitely too late now, but maybe I should have made a different choice?"

(it is absolutely not too late, he just doesn't know it/can't admit it to himself.)

anyway this could obviously be mckirk, but I'm gonna be honest:

mcspirk where Spock finds out JUST how McCoy got the nickname, and he's just. Hmm. Fascinating. There is a theory baked into your nickname (that you're great at sex) and I am a scientist interested in testing theories (we should have sex).

anyway yada yada yada they all end up together probably, i don't make the rules, I just think it would be very funny for Spock to be like ".....this entire time you've been referencing how well he performed sexual intercourse?" and Kirk's just "listen if he'd melted your brain like he did mine, you'd understand" and Spock's just. "hm. Challenge accepted." and McCoy's just "....do I get a say in this?" and they're both just "No <3" and he's like. "....okay, fine."

1. it’s my 24th birthday today, so my goal of being published by the time i’m 25 is now a one year looming monster, but i never specified what kind of published and am currently looking in various literary magazines that are recommended for writers who have yet to be published, so i’m surprisingly confident that i can make it work? and tbh even if whatever i write isn’t officially published before my 25th birthday, if i have someone in the process of being published then i’ll be happy!! no matter what though, i’m gonna try to be proud of myself for at least giving it my best shot!!

2. i honestly love that my birthday is on the ides of march because the ides of march meme shitposting is only a thing on tumblr but it also being my birthday makes it easier to like. be excited about the ides of march outside of tumblr. like even in person i can be like “it’s my birthday! i’m an ides of march babe (:” and if someone is like oh what’s that? or if they say something along the lines of oh like julius caesar? i can be like yep!! and even if it’s a small thing outside of tumblr it brings me immense enjoyment and amusement being able to bring it up off of tumblr

3. transportation situation has been very rough since june 2023 when i totalled my car, my gap insurance are being assholes and i ended up putting my foot down on the phone with them yesterday which i’m pretty proud of because i am NOT a confrontational person (something i’ve been working on this past year, so seeing some improvement with my ability to hold my ground and not be a pushover yesterday was very cool!!) i was told i’d get a response from them by friday next week no matter what, and if i don’t then friday of next week i will continue to wreak havoc upon them. but my moms car which i’ve been using since my accident broke down yesterday, hopefully it’s fixable but my parents were saying it might be done for, so trying to think of how i’m gonna get to work next week is kind of stressing me out lmao, but for now i’m just gonna focus on enjoying my birthday the best i can because i don’t want to start off being 24 with an overwhelming anxiety for something that won’t be a potential issue until monday. plus i already messaged my boss today to let her know that i’m going to do everything i can to make it work out but just so she’s in the loop and knows of the potential of me not being able to make my morning shifts (one of my coworkers said she’s more than happy to give me a ride for our afternoon shifts which does help relieve some of the stress!) and i told her i’d let her know for sure sunday so that if necessary she can have time to figure out someone to fill in for me in the mornings!

overall: life is weird and i ended being 23 yesterday with a shitty situation but a positive outlook and i am going to enjoy my first day of being 24 no matter what because honestly i fucking earned it. happy friday everyone, i hope it’s a good day for you and me both!

The Sightstealer Saga: Part 1

It had been a regular day at Sparks; everybody was going about their chores as usual, with no way to guess the turn the day was about to take...

Boop, one of our cleansweeper mechanoids, was suddenly attacked by a terrifying figure that appeared as if from nowhere!! Fortunately, Boop recalled the many tales of Stabby the Roomba that it had heard and managed to "sweep the floor"—if you'll excuse the pun—with its sightstealer foe before limping back to the safety of our main walled-in area to be repaired.

Boop's heroic victory was seen as a declaration of war to all sightstealers nearby, but despite their knack for turning invisible, they were not very good at sneaking up on us and screamed hideous war cries so everybody knew they were coming.

Hopefully, we don't acquire an unexpected newborn from this sightstealer attack. We love Ivy to bits, but one adopted child is enough; thank you very much. Hear that, Randy? No new colonists!

*sigh* I suppose that's what I get for tempting fate...

Alistair was quick, but not quiiite quick enough to avoid a few claw-slashes on his arm. It's tricky for him to fight while running and also carrying a fifteen-year-old boy with the most impeccably groomed facial hair I've ever seen on anybody under thirty-five.

In the end, though, Alistair and Ludwig made it inside safely, and everybody ignored Ludwig in favour of welding Alistair back together first. Still, it doesn't sound like the ordeal is over yet. We've sealed the gates and holed up for a sightstealer siege. Stay tuned for The Sightstealer Saga Part Two!!

Hi guys! So I just realized I haven't been on tumblr in a hot minute, I low-key forgot about it tbh because of testing n all that stuff. And there's still MORE testing coming up so yeah..*cries in finals*

For all of you people who aren't in highschool yet be glad you aren't(not saying middle school isn't hard sometimes)I have to deal with TSI, PSAT, ACT, semester exams, STAAR and finals

Thankfully summer break is coming up soon so once testing is done I will continue writing fanfiction for ya'll and I'll finally have time to finish everyone's requests

Also I'm thinking about doing a Q&A or smth just for funsies,lemme know if that's something you guys would be interested in!
