Imagine helping your daughter make breakfast to surprise the Wolf for Father's Day

"Do you want me to help you, mija?" You ask your daughter, wincing slightly as you watch the cup of coffee on the tray shake precariously as she makes her way up the stairs. Though she tries to carefully move up the stairs, everything on the tray seems to be on the verge of spilling and it makes you worried. There would be no time to do a do-over breakfast before the Wolf wakes up.

She shakes her head. "I want to carry it up to Papa!"

With a silent sigh, you follow close behind her. Your hand hovering behind her back to catch her in case she slips. But miraculously she gets makes it up without spilling anything. She walks up to your bedroom door and looks at you impatiently. "Mama, hurry!"

You open the bedroom door for her and watch with a smile as she walks inside. She spots the Wolf and instantly grins, forgetting the surprise the two of you had come up with as all she can think about was her father. Setting the tray on the floor, your daughter rushes to the bed and climbs on top of it. She jumps onto her father – which makes him let out an oomph – wrapping her arms around his neck as she gives him a big kiss on his cheek. "Apá! Happy Father's Day!"

With a shake of your head, you bent down and picked up the breakfast tray before making your way to the duo. Setting it down on the nightside beside your husband, you sat next to him as you watched him pull her to his chest and begin peppering kisses all over your daughter's face.

"Apa!" She giggled, trying to get away from him, "It tickles!" But he only tightens his grip and he continues amidst her laughter. She pointed to the tray. "Look at what we made!"

Stopping his attack, he sits up, his back resting on the bed's headrest as looks at the tray she had brought in. "Chilaquiles. My favorite!" He grabbed the plate and set it on his legs. "Gracias mi nena." He gives her another kiss on the cheek.

"Mama made it! But I cracked the eggs!" She puffed her chest out, proud of her part in the breakfast.

He ruffles her hair. "The hardest part of making chilaquiles."

Reaching out for you, the Wolf cups your cheek with his hand and pulls you into a kiss. He's careful to not spill the plate onto the bed as he tries to convey everything he's feeling at the moment. Thank you for doing this. Thank you for making marrying me. Thank you for this family.
