i had an idea about an AU my s-class hunters inspired debut or die so i'm sharing it ^^ i wrote it fast without thinking much so don't take it too seriously...

! there's big spoilers for debut or die novel so don't read if you don't want to be spoiled !l

like in canon, yoohyun left yoojin (for x reason) and yoojin is well, sad. Until one day he woke up in is brother body, several years in the past, with the ultimatum of debuting as an idol or he will die. Of course yoojin is not going to let his brother body die, and like in dod, every information about himself disapeared.

so like, contrary to moondae, yoojin don't know much about idol, so I had different idea to "help" him. 1, the system window is talking to him and giving advice (newcomer) 2, yoohyun was a solo idol and yoojin keeped track of him.

anyway, idol inc happens and for the group i was thinking on making a mixed group (discarding season 2 of idol inc).

for the group i imagined yoohyun(yoojin) as a leader/singer, yerim as a main rapper/dancer, noah main dancer/singer (inspired ahyeon) and then... i don't really know :/ i like myeongwoo but i can't really imagine him singing/dancing or rapping so... since the groupe is "young" i wondered if i could put soyoung too? but then i couln't do a jupiter "groupe", and at the same time having hyunjae and soyoung around the same age? weird. So yeah, apart from noah and yerim i'm not sure about yoojin's group. of course yoojin would take care of everyone and everthing, this guy don't change.

for hyunjae, well, it's easy to say he's taking the place of cheongryeo!

as i was typing i realised that myeongwoo could be a producer, like raebin. so maybe singer/producer? since there's a lot of singers, soyoung should be a rapper.

anyway, let's go back to hyunjae. hyunjae is an all rounder obviously, the king of everything, except he don't really do live and variety show. contrary to cheongryeo i like to think he would do a lot of solo stuff outside of the groupe.

talking of the group! of course mixed again. at this point i'm a bit strugling because i don't know if i want hyuna to be in the same groupe as hyunjae or another girl only group. if she's in a gg, she would be with riette and nonames. if she isn't, i like the lineup hyunjae, hyuna, taewon, evelyn and maybe riette. i don't know about making riette an idol if hyuna is with the other. she could be someone who work in the industry, and cause trouble to noah but have a good relationship with soyoung.

for the roles i'm not sure, but rapper/main dancer hyuna is good, singer evelyn, rapper taewon maybe?

going back to hyunjae, like cheongryeo he came back multiple time in the past to achieve the missions. and he would probably annoy yoojin a lot, but as time pass, they would reach a relation of trust and try to break the system together.

yoojin will remember about a past he forgot, his suicide and the other life of everyone (yerim, noah, myeongwoo but also hyuna, taewon and hyunjae) and how yoohyun saved his life with the system.

contrary to dod, i think it would be better if yoojin return to his body. and i have two ideas at how it can happens. 1 well, uh, magic. yoojin live in his body, but everybody who isn't aware of the system think that the idol yoohyun always looked like that and was always named yoojin. he kept being an idol, and his brother continue being his number 1 fan. for those who read the novel, it's like the arc "Company <System> update" where everybody forgot moondae. idea 2, since yoohyun got back in his body he became an idol, replacing his brother. yoojin became their's manager, and hyunjae always try to get him become his manager's group ;)

Seo Dal-Mi(Bae Suzy) ve Seo In-Jae(Kang Han-Na) ortaokul ve lise çağlarında iki kız kardeştir. Anne babalarının aralarındaki anlaşmazlıklar ile diziye giriş yapıyoruz. Yaşanılan aile için dramdan sonra Dal-Mi babası (Kim Joo-Hun) ile In-Jae ise annesi (Song Seon-Mi) ile kalıyor. Babaanne Choi Won-Deok (Kim Hae-Sook) ise bütün o kucak dolusu sevgisi ve şefkati ile hem bizi hem kızları karşılıyor. O nasıl güzel bir büyük anne karakteriydi, resmen aşık oldum. Kendine ayrıca mini bir hikaye yaratan büyükannemiz küçük bir yemek dükkanı işletiyor. Bir gün sokakta tek başına kalmış bir çocuğa yardımcı oluyor. Han Ji-Pyeong (Kim Sun-Ho) adına çok zeki ve çalışkan genç bir çocuk sokakta kalmıştır. Anne babası ve gidecek yeri olmayan bu çocuğa büyükanne kucak açar. Önce yağmurda akşam sokakta kalmaması için dükkanın anahtarını verir. Sonra aralarında tatlı bir arkadaşlık oluşur. Ji-Pyeong dükkanda kalması karşılığında büyük annenin işlerini yapar. Bu sırada anne babası ayrılan Dal-Mi’ye üzülen büyük annenin aklına bir fikir gelir. Torunu çok yalnız kaldığı için ona hayali bir arkadaş verecektir. Ji-Pyeong’dan ona mektup yazmasını ister. Bir şekilde Ji-Pyeong’u ikna edince, o günün gazetesinden Dal-Mi yaşlarında bir çocuğun adını alırlar. Ve büyük anneyle beraber Dal-Mi’ye mektup yazmaya başlarlar. Bir süre sonra mektupları Ji-Pyeong yazmaya devam eder.

Aradan 15 yıl gibi hatırı sayılır bir zaman geçer. Ji-Pyeong SH Girişim Yatırım Firması’nın en iyi takım lideri olmuştur. Boy boy fotoğrafları basılmış, parmakla gösteriliyordur.  Yatırım yaptığı hiç kimsenin başarısız olmaması ile ünlüdür. Dergi kapaklarında isminden bahsedilir, ünlü ve zengin bir adam olmuştur. Annesi ile giden In-Jae, üvey babasının soyadını almış, bolluk içinde büyümüş ve üvey babasının firmasında CEO olarak çalışmaktadır. Dal-Mi ise kendi işini kurabilmek için üniversiteyi yarıda bırakmıştır. O zamandan beri kimse kimseyle görüşmemiştir. Dal-Mi ise hala küçükken yazıştığı mektup arkadaşını aramaktadır. Ve bütün araştırmaları onu gazetenden çaldıkları isme Nam Do-San (Nam Joo-Hyuk) ‘ a çıkartır.

Nam Do-San ise Kim Yong-San (Kim Do-Wan) ve Lee Chul-San (Yoo Su-Bin) ile SAMSAN adında bir bilişim şirketi kurmuştur. 15 yıl önce kazandığı matematik olimpiyatlarından aldığı gazla kurulan bu şirket aslında üç parasız gencin hayal kurmasından öteye gitmemiştir.  Durumları içler acısıdır. Bir şekilde bütün karakterlerin bir araya gelmesi ile hikaye gelişir ve böyle devam eder.

Nam Joo-Hyuk’u “Weightlifting fairy kim book joo” dizisinde eğlenceli ama biraz itici bulmuştum. “Twenty five, Twenty one” dizisinde ise nefret ettim. “The Bride of Habaek” dizisinde biraz ısınır gibi oldum. Ve son olarak bu dizide tekrar normal seyrini yakaladım. Biraz olsun o nefretimi kırmamı sağladı. Yaşına rağmen kızlarla vakit geçirmemiş, nerd olarak büyümüş bir adamın çekingenliğini çok güzel yansıtmıştı. Karakter gelişimi de aynı şekilde güzel anlatılıyordu. Ama ne yazık ki, nefretimi kırmış olmama rağmen dizi boyunca benim favorim kesinlikle 2.adamdı. Resmen izleyiciler olarak ikinci adam Kim Sun-Ho, esas adam olsun diye imza kampanyası başlatacaktık. Kim Sun-Ho’yu Hometown Cha Cha Cha dizisinde ilk kez izlediğimde bu kadar beni yakalayamamış, idare eder bulmuştum. Burada keşke başrol olsaydı. İlk bölümlerden son bölüme kadar Han Ji Pyeong'un büyükanneyle iletişimi efsaneydi. Öyle güzel bir sevgi vardı ki aralarında dizideki en güzel aşk oydu bence. Yanlış ve geç anlaşılmaları bir o kadar dokunaklıydı. Bayıldım, ikisine de bayıldım.

Dizide başarı hikayelerinin o insanı heyecanlandıran kimyası sonuna kadar havasını korudu. İçimiz kıpır kıpır izledik. Hatta 12.bölüme kadar çok güzel bir ivme artışı vardı. Ve son 4 bölüm… Neden diye haykırasım geldi. Koreliler bunu neden yapıyor neden, neden? “Aradan şu kadar zaman geçti” muhabeti neden bitmemiş. Neden bu kadar takılmış durumdalar bu mevzuya. Tekrar hatırlayınca bile yoruldum. Ne kadar gereksiz olduğunu söylememe gerek bile yok.

Toparlayacak olursak, güzel bir başarı hikayesi diyebiliriz. Karakterler son derece doğaldı. Kimsenin hayatında görmediği o para babaları ütopik zenginler gözlerimizi kanatmadı. Güzel mesajları arka planda gizleyip ilham veren bir hikayeydi. Duygusal yönü ağır basmasına rağmen bütün diziyi himayesine almadı. Dizide beni tek rahatsız eden, aslında rahatsız demek doğru değil, mutsuz eden demek lazım, ikinci erkek sendromuydu. Öyle naif bir ikinci erkek izledik ki, gizliden ağır travmatik olduğunu düşünüyorum. Ve o ikinci erkeğe bence yeterli bir son yazılmamıştı. Keşke ikinci erkek ikinci olmasaydı diyerek izlediğimi tekrar söyleyeyim.

Bence şans verilebilir bir diziydi. Dizi müzikleri içinde ufak bir yorum yapayım, kendi adıma müzikler o kadar diziyle uyuşmuştu ki hiç ön plana çıkmıyordu. Sonrasında dinlediğimde ayrı ayrı beğendim ama izlerken sahnenin önüne geçmediği için fark etmedim. Bu hem iyi hem kötü olarak düşünülebilir. Ben başarılı buldum.

SUMMARY: When you’re born into Joseon slavery, you’ll stop at nothing to find a way out.

THIS MOVIE HAS EVERYTHING: Switches, abhorrent paternity laws, sparring, branding, fog fighting, crow dinners, greed, royal insanity, hunters, rock-throwing, questionable friendships, true friendships, robes, invasions, and loyalty.

HOT TAKE: The plot of this movie was swift and succinct, perhaps to the detriment of its believability. The action scenes were excellent, the cinematography was epic, and the resolution of the third act big-boss fight was one of the best I've seen in a while. Also, some great long-overdue comeuppance for a King that should have just shut the hell up.

That being said, our main characters were a little unmotivated, there were more 'Monty Python-esque' limbs severed than I was expecting, and some real hard choices to be made--ones I'm not sure I would have been strong enough to execute.

Thoughts on hyung in Beyond Evil.

1. Who calls whom hyung?

With the help of the scriptbook, the occurrences I could find in which someone directly addresses another person hyung are as follows:

Oh Ji Hoon (to Lee Dong Sik): 동식이 형!

Han Joo Won (to Kwon Hyuk): 형 결혼할 사람을 왜 우리 아버지한테 물어봐.

Kwak Oh Seob (to Nam Sang Bae): 형 요즘 또라이 수집해?

Lee Dong Sik (to Kang Jin Mook): 형 먹으라고 사 온 거야.

Oh Ji Hoon (to Kang Jin Mook): 형.

Oh Ji Hwa (to Kang Jin Mook): 형, 이리 와서 앉아요.*

Kang Do Soo (to Lee Dong Sik): 형 지금 체포된 거거든?

Lee Sang Yeob (to Lee Dong Sik): 근데 형... 저 어떻게든 잡아야 돼요.

* Hyung is used when a boy/man calls another boy/man older than him casually, but in the past, some women (usually in their 20s-30s) also used it, thinking oppa sounds unnecessarily intimate and/or "feminine."

2. Why does Ji Hoon call Dong Sik (and even Jin Mook) hyung instead of ahjussi?

The age gap with which you can call someone hyung is not exactly set, but personally, I feel like it is around ten years or less. Mostly, that is the case in the show:

Han Joo Won: 27 / Kwon Hyuk: 34 -> seven years

Kwak Oh Seob: 52 / Nam Sang Bae: 59 -> seven years

Lee Dong Sik: 40 / Kang Jin Mook: 45 -> five years

Oh Ji Hwa: 40 / Kang Jin Mook: 45 -> five years

Kang Do Soo: 34 / Lee Dong Sik: 40 -> six years

Lee Sang Yeob: 27 / Lee Dong Sik: 37 (in 2017) -> ten years

However, Ji Hoon is 14 years younger than Dong Sik and 19 years than Jin Mook, but he still calls both hyung. Why? My theories are: a) even though he is much younger than Ji Hwa, Ji Hoon perceives that he and she are in the same peer group/generation as they are siblings, and because Ji Hwa is friends with Dong Sik (as in the Korean way), it is natural to call him hyung, b) Ji Hoon has been used to hear Ji Hwa and Dong Sik calling Jin Mook hyung since his childhood, so it has stuck with him, and/or c) either or both of Dong Sik and Jin Mook thought being called as ahjussi made them feel old, so they asked Ji Hoon to use hyung instead.

3. Why can I not imagine Joo Won calling Dong Sik hyung (even post-canon and in fics)?

Calling someone hyung is not just about age gaps; there should be a certain level of friendliness/intimacy between the two people. And in a lot of cases, it builds on time they spend together. Joo Won calls Hyuk hyung because they have known each other for a long time and are almost like family. Also, it might be worth noting that Joo Won was a teenager when he met Hyuk for the first time; he must have been angry at and distant towards Han Ki Hwan, but a boy is still a boy, and surely Hyuk is the one who helped and was there for the younger when he was "vulnerable." If they met after becoming a police officer and a prosecutor respectively, I do not think Joo Won would have called Hyuk hyung, even if the latter tried his best to be kind and helpful to the former.

Now, let us apply the same "rules" to Dong Sik. Joo Won has known him personally for only about five months. (The "one year" after does not count, during which they did not really interact with each other.) They were not even on good terms mostly. Even though they "mend" their relationship at the end, they cannot completely forget all the grief and regret. And of course, there is the age gap of 13 years. But most importantly, Joo Won's personality is far from embracing and treating others casually -- such as easy smiles, physical touches, small talks, endearments, etc. Therefore, even if he and Dong Sik start dating at some point, what I can see Joo Won using is "Lee Dong Sik-ssi" or "Dong Sik-ssi," not hyung.
