little! zagreus x CG! patrochilles (NOT A SHIP)

zagreus was visiting Elysium, sitting on the grassy floor messing with a stuffed animal of Cerberus. Patroclus and Achilles were sitting close by to the little one this being achilles' second chance to care for a 'child'. When Zag was playing a little too rough with his toy he ripped a paw off, Patroclus caught it and could comfort him. "stranger-" achilles always corrected him when he called Zagreus a stranger. "right, kiddo. come here give me the toy I'll fix it" Zag nodded and handed his toy over to Patroclus attempting to find a needle and string. achilles patted his lap signaling for the boy to sit on his lap "Come here little lad it is all right, I um... wish to comfort you" Zag came close crying a bit that his toy was torn. Achilles cuddled him into his chest and shushed him. patroclus spoke up "Dear please lean your head a bit further" achilles did so and got a single hair pulled off "I am sorry but i do not have a thread so i am using yours and my hair to sew it up." achilles didn't complain just kept holding zag "that's my brave boy it is okay no need to cry" he kissed his temple a few times. when Patroclus was fully done he handed the stuffed animal back and patted him on the head "Here little guy" he smiled at Zag and squeezed his hand. zag's eyes lit up and he hugged the toy to his face giving achilles the perfect excuse to start tickling the boy's sides. the day ended with laughing and being close.

Caregiver Hades Headcanons (Hercules)

He often gets bogged down with work, but he can always find time to hang out with you. (And knowing he’s going to see you makes work easier to deal with.)

He’s got a bit of a temper, but he tries really hard to keep it under control around you; the last thing he wants is to scare you.

He smells a lot like a campfire, and it quickly becomes one of your favorite scents.

A lot of his successes come from his ability to sweet-talk people; but with you, compliments are just compliments - and he has plenty to give you! Your appearance, your voice, your talents, everything you do or are gets a bit of praise.

He loves seeing you try to argue for the things you want, and he often bends to your great negotiator skills.

Cerberus is a GUARD dog, not a pet. You definitely aren’t allowed to play fetch or give him belly rubs or- No, put those Bambi eyes away, you can’t… Well, maybe just this once. 

Between his high energy and his ability to teleport, Hades can keep up with even the hyperest kiddo. Also, anytime you get too far away or too close to danger, he just levitates you off the ground. Try to touch the pool of souls NOW, kid!

He knows all the most interesting Grecian villains and he’s happy to introduce you.

At first, Hades is super hesitant about touching you. If he gets too hot and burns Pain or Panic, who cares, right? But you’re different; he’d never forgive himself if he accidentally hurt you. In time, though, he becomes willing to give you cautious hugs and quick pats on the head.

caregiver demeter ❄️🌨️ [ x x x ]

demeter would be beside herself to find out she has a little one to take care of. she has a bounty of love to give, even if she doesn't let herself show it often

strict and firm. has rules for bedtime, for snacks, for playing. is not lax about her rules, either

will never raise her voice at you. she's stern, but she never shouts, and will always explain herself if something you've done has upset her and why

cold hands. she laughs when you try to warm them up by holding them. even though it never works you try all the time

some of the only times she genuinely laughs is with you, and to hear it makes you so happy

is always wearing something soft for you to touch. it makes her very easy to curl up against and fall asleep

naps are the one thing that she's lenient about. how could she wake you up when you look so sweet and peaceful?

calls you little sprout, of course

her presence becomes known to you, and you can tell when she's checking in on you after a while, even if she isn't around physically. the air cools just a little bit

she tends to stand behind you and rest her hand on your shoulder when you're together, out and about. sometimes on your head, too, but she won't mess with your hair

is always fixing your clothes and appearance in little ways. brushing hair behind your ear or fixing your collar when it pops up, brushing stray hairs from your coat

loves for you to play outside. would take you to visit persephone often, if they were in contact. she wants you to walk amongst all the flowers and produce and admire them

would tell you endless things about different crops and climates and plants. about all the different conditions to grow things in, and how to keep your soil fresh, and how you can tell that spring is coming

has many stories to tell, at that. she's got centuries of things to share. your favorite is the story about the first harvest she ever created

never wants you in contact with the winter and snow. hates to imagine you shivering in the bitterness of her own creation. steers you far from anywhere that isn't comfortably temperate

she'll conjure little snowflakes, though, for you to try and catch and look at before they melt in your palms. she likes watching you interact with it in a controlled manner where she can make sure that you're safe

worries about you coming into any sort of harm, no matter it be from another olympian or from the weather outside

she always smells so nice, especially the furs and coats that she wears.. it's hard to describe, sweet and fresh and unique to her

she leaves you with one of her coats and switches them out often, since she knows that you love how they smell and feel, and when she can't be around they're there to comfort you

very insistent that you dress for the weather always. sunscreen, raincoat, boots, whatever is called for you will have on when you leave the house with her

an independent caregiver. doesn't leave you with others often, as she doesn't think anyone can care for you as well as she can

if anyone, she'd trust you to persephone or zagreus, and that's it. she doesn't have a lot of connections and would rather eat dirt than leave you alone with most of the olympians

she struggles to avoid hovering, but you love her doting nature and don't mind the attention

So this'll probably sound kinda weird but sorta underworld themed mood board? Like Greek underworld with Hades and Persephone. For example being a little kid in the palace, a sort of gentle but spooky, vintage, royalty childhood. Also masc-neutral please, ranges from about 4-7. Thank you! This might be an odd request so I'm kinda scared to ask this but kind of a Greek underworld mood board? Like with Hades and Persephone as caretakers for maybe a five year old? Dark colors, skeletons, royal family, flowers kinda deal? But make it a bit more safe for kids? I totally understand if you can't do this btw, LOVE YOUR BLOG

Caregiver! Hades Headcanons🔥💙 (with a sensitive little <3)

-Protective. Like "won't let you out of his sight for even a minute" protective. It's not to be strict or hard on you, it's because the Underworld isn't safe.

-Honestly, he can be quite...scary at times. Intimidating at times yes, but when he gets mad, he gets mad.

-It's never really at you though. Mainly just the Fates, demons, gods, etc. Really anyone else who lives in the Underworld except for you.

-He tries not to lose his temper as much, especially when you're around. He has his moments sometimes, but he's working on it and reassures you that he's not upset with you.

-Aside from that, he adores having you around. He's not typically one for anything that isn't evil/cynical or associated with mortals, but you're the exception. He finds it fascinating and honestly endearing that you regress, although he'd never admit it.

-He already doesn't have a filter and isn't the most kid friendly. Because of this, he tries to watch what he says and does around you, but it's not easy.

-Despite his cold demeanor, he really does care. Especially when it comes to you and how you're feeling. Someone was mean or just an ass to you, he won't hesitate to smite them. Angry and just not sure how to feel? You can rage all you want, even at him. He encourages it! But, he makes sure you don't do too much that you end up hurting yourself.

-Isn't really strict on rules other than not to go anywhere without him. For obvious reasons. Other than that, most of them are just about taking care of yourself like remembering to drink water.

-So many dad jokes. (Never at your expense, shockingly enough.) They're not always funny, but you laugh nonetheless. He just wants to make you smile.

-Talks to you about everything. He doesn't mind if you don't respond or don't understand, it's just out of habit. (However, he does try other forms of communication when you're overwhelmed or nonverbal.)

-Doesn't really baby-talk at you. He talks to you the same as he would normally, just a lot nicer.

-"Look at that constellation! Do you know which one it is, Sunspot?" "P..pegasus..?" "You are learning! Good job kiddo!"

-Definitely uses his powers to his advantage. If you need a quiet place, want or want to go somewhere special, or if you just want to be with him, he'll do it in a heartbeat.

-Very gentle surprisingly. He knows there's a time and place for everything, so he tries to be softer when he can. Especially when you're going through it.

-"Hey hey...it's okay. There's nothing to be afraid of, I mean, other than myself, but you don't have to be scared of me. I'm here for you, kid. Do you wanna talk about it? Oh Sunspot...I'm sorry. That must've been really hard to deal with on your own, hasn't it?"

-When you want to be alone at night, you have your own bed and plenty of room, so he won't bother you. But most of the time, he falls asleep holding you. Not just for you, but because it comforts him to know you're there. He likes having someone there. Especially when that someone's you.

-As odd of a pair as you might be, an all-ruling god and a little, he wouldn't change it for the world. You make his days brighter and that means more to him than you could know.

Caregiver!Hades (Hadestown) 

has an easy time spoiling you with expensive gifts: bracelets for your wrists that make rattling sounds when you shake them, the softest blankets, whole boxes of gemstones that shine in the lights 

much more indirect when giving you meaningful gifts: leaves stuffed animals on the bed and won’t acknowledge them until you’ve had them for a few days 

of course he gets caught up in his work, and you have to come and bother him: you might have to play quietly by his desk for a while, but he never kicks you out of the office, and when he’s done he’ll sweep you up and get you both home

hums you to sleep: he only sings when he’s happy and not paying attention to himself 

lets you stand on his shoes so he can dance you around the kitchen

always smells like factory smoke, you’ll have to get used to it 

doesn’t seem to sleep... at least, you’ve never seen him sleeping 

rough and calloused hands, but he’s gentle when he combs your hair and helps you button your pajamas 

wears little details on his outfits to match yours: bright pops of colour on his socks or handkerchief square that he didn’t used to wear before you 

pretends to be reluctant about reading you a bedtime story, but always lets you ask for one more
