Listen hear me out…. I’ve just been thinking so much about how Caleb is such a sweet talker… I feel like even if MC/you started out saying no (“we CANT, sure we aren’t blood but we are still siblings- we can’t do this-“) it wouldn’t take long until you found yourself stunned and confused about how he ended up inside you. Weren’t you just telling him you can’t? How did it get here, to where he’s spooning you so gently from behind and taking things a thousand times too far… he’s still whispering sweet nothings in your ear so you can’t find it in you to complain but- how???

no you’re literally SO right though. caleb is smooth and charming and he has a knack for twisting things until they make seemingly perfect sense. he knows exactly how to use words as his weapons to get what he wants, and the sincerity straining his voice paired with those yearning puppy-dog eyes—just begging you to understand, to see it from his perspective—only helps strengthen his case. it’s hard not to believe that what he says is gospel when he has such a trusting face and a comforting presence—something you’ve sought out countless times before, something you’ve always been able to rely on.

For havenfall is for family all I can imagine after the USJ Incident with AFO being told that the deal protecting him from JD is off is him going full “This is fine. We can rebuild. They can’t get me faster than I can put my plans into motion.” and just laying low for a while (the incident in Hosu was an accident really… the kid was just in the wrong place at the wrong time)

And then the training camp happens and AFO needs to find a god to pray to very very quickly even if there was no kidnapping

AFO is scared. He won't admit it but he'd been very thankful his father arranged it so that his siblings couldn't interfere. And that most supernatural couldn't unless he crossed them. He kept his head down. Most Japanese mythos kept to themselves anyway, with a few exceptions he'd picked out being able to see through all magical disguises.

(He is the son of the Devil himself but all he could do was see through magic. If it hadn't been for his Quirk he'd be nothing. Just like Yoichi. Weak, needing someone to take care of him.
