Writing songs is not easy

Pairing: idol!asahi x reader

a/n: i suggest reading this fic with any sad song you know for extra emotional damage. THIS WAS SO FUN TO WRITE so i hope you enjoy this fic that destroyed me. This is the official opening?? or start of my page and i decided with sharing angst YEY! stay tuned for more fics and i will create my carrd asap so you would know more about what im about to do with my acc here in tumblr so enjoy this fic for now! feedback would be very much appreciated :DD

Writing was hard — something asahi was very familiar with. The constant wracking of his brain to write lyrics that people would love. Working at ungodly hours to write 3 lines of lyrics that were all over the place which, most of the time, ended up with multiple pieces of crumpled paper, or even ended up sleeping on his desk with multiple scribbles on different sheets of paper. Despite the numerous love songs under his belt as a producer, asahi never really understood the concept of love. He felt like he was missing a specific emotion or feeling to add more essence to the songs.

Until he met you.

With you, writing came so much easier. It was easier to put his feelings into his writings — expressing the love he wished to express towards you. You knew this, of course. The subtle eye contact, soft whines of protest, and the delicate touches he leaves on your skin. You knew he was trying on his own ways, and you absolutely adored his ways of showing love to you.

But it was never easy.

It may seem like a walk in the park for others, or even romanticizing these subtle acts of expressing love. But loving another person was never easy, especially if expressing it was not their forte. He always wished to meet someone where he may be able to express himself without having to worry about his frustrating hesitance toward love. Though he may be infatuated with different people from his whole lifetime, or even have friends that he knows would stick by him, he never really tried to meet his person because of the fear that they might grow tired of his antics. He just convinced himself, basically. Platonic may be the only thing that he could have, and he’d have to rely on cheesy romance films or anime for him to know how a relationship happens.

“You think a relationship is hard?” he got asked by one of the members when they were trying to write lyrics for their upcoming album. He didn’t have an answer back then. Every bit of knowledge he had with relationships came from films, never really having the experience because of the hectic idol life he has now. He was contented, to an extent. But he remembered how much he smiles whenever he’s with you. How he finally experienced what it's like for his day to seemingly be better just by thinking about you. How he blushes when a member brings you up. How he unconsciously brings you to whatever conversation he was having; always wanting to connect his story about you. How he really tried his best to keep the relationship despite all the shame, hate, doubt, and every negative feeling there is.

He could never forget how hard he tried to get you to be his in the first place. A simple flower with a note: I wish to see you smile like that every day because you shine the brightest in my eyes. I hope you will allow me to be with you more, just like the orange sun. Having to find the right timing with you, to make sure you were comfortable and in a great mood. Constantly thinking about what happens then if you said yes, then worrying too much if ever you said no.

He felt like the happiest man alive when you said yes. Though he doesn’t really know what’s the next step in a relationship, he chooses to revel in the feeling of love? no, that’s not it. He doesn’t really know if it was the love he was feeling. But he didn’t mind it. He’s got you, he thinks. He’ll soon figure out his feelings for you eventually, he hopes. So, there were days that were long, days where he wanted to stay in it forever, and days that will hold a special place in his heart.

He remembers the way you hold his figure whenever he gets stressed about his work. The sweet nothings he hears while he lays his head on your figure as if melting in your embrace. It was the most comforting thing. Being with you erases the negative thoughts he has throughout the day. He hides his emotions, as he usually does. He doesn’t really know what to do with it, and he sometimes wished someone would instantly know how he was feeling whenever it started to get tough. But you always seemed to know his emotions. You were reading him like an open book, yet other people struggle with the simplest emotions he feels. Even his members sometimes didn’t understand his emotions. You were always there when you needed him.

He was the happiest. He always had the motivation to write songs because he finally found his inspiration. He finally found someone he could confine himself to without worrying about forcing himself. He knows you were there, you always were, in whatever situation there was.

But, he wasn’t there for you.

He didn’t know what to do on your off-days. He didn’t know what makes you happy. You’re holding him, but he isn’t holding you – That was the hardest part of your relationship. He was content with your treatment, but he doesn’t reciprocate it back to you. Yet, you kept quiet. Despite all the constant neglect, late-night calls that leave you unsatisfied, tears in the other room while he’s busy being happy. Even the I love you’s that holds the deepest meaning in your relationship felt empty. Even the way he says it was empty. It honestly felt like a slap in the face, when you realize your relationship is different now.

He couldn't understand it at first, the sudden change in your relationship. He was doing fine, you’re doing fine, he thinks. He might just be overthinking things again, just like what he used to do before he got into a relationship with you. You were always there for him whenever he had his off-days. Ever since he saw you with a frown on your face every time you were there to comfort him against his own demons, he swore to himself that he’d try a bit harder to remove those thoughts so you wouldn’t have to worry again. Plus, it’s a way for him to see you with a smile on your face, just like how he wanted to see you.

But one thing led to another, and you both were at your tipping point with each other. The moment you walked out of his life was the moment he never wanted to relive ever again. The eerily silence in the room when you asked him for a talk. The monotonous voice that held much more weight every time he remembered your words to him. He notices the slight tremble in your voice as the words you were releasing start to frustrate you. The amount of emotion in your voice when you told him you were tired snapped him back to reality. He didn’t know what to say. What else could he tell you that could at least help calm you down? The only indicator he had of time was the sun setting on the window of his studio.

“What am I in your life, asahi?” you asked, with so much exhaustion and desperation in your voice. You wanted to know what you were in his life.

“You’re my girlfriend, obviously!” he said with frustration that almost seemed like he wanted to get away from the situation and just wanted to lie in your arms — forgetting the whole thing ever happened.

“Well, it doesn’t seem like it anymore.” You exclaimed. You were tired of all of it. As you were still telling him about all the frustrations in the relationship. Asahi was constantly telling himself that everything was going to be okay. He wanted to tell you that, but he felt like he was convincing himself more than you that the relationship was okay, even if it was in its final steps.

You couldn’t even look at him anymore, at that point. Too tired about the whole ordeal, you broke it off. As much as he hated the whole situation and himself, he couldn’t help but stare at the setting shining sun that always reminded him of you. He knew he tried, but he wished he could’ve tried harder for you.

The wave of emotion hit him, finally coming back to his senses and realizing that you were actually gone. He couldn’t even stare at his desk because it was full of trinkets that came from you. A drawing of you was also on his wall, almost taunting him about the way he handled the relationship. A picture frame then came into view — it was a photo booth print you both went to on his birthday. Both of you were smiling so wide for the camera as if nothing was wrong with the relationship. He smiled a bit, remembering how thankful he was that you went out of your schedule just to be with him the entire day.

A snap from his member brought him back to reality. Repeating the question to him again, and waiting for his answer. “No one writes songs about the ones that come easy.” Asahi said, a bit of falter in his tone as if on the verge of breaking down the more he thinks about it. He doesn’t know how long he was keeping it together until he heard a soft click of the door and his member not in the room with him – assuming he left to leave him alone with his thoughts. To help relieve the pain for a bit, asahi went back to writing music but without the lyrics. He felt like he just needed to get lost in his own little world without any thoughts bothering him.

He doesn’t really know what time it is, but he assumes that he stayed up again in the studio for another time. But he did get a good beat out of it. Immediately opening his phone and quickly going to your contact to tell you about his beat, he instantly had a frown on his face.

It was the last text he got from you before you broke up with him. He hadn’t realized that he left you on read that time, he couldn’t even remember what he was doing that day for him to forget to reply to you. And just like that, he realized that when was the last time he replied instantly just like you did for him? When was the last time that he did something great for you? When was the last time that he even had to comfort you, despite him hearing you complain about your workspace and difficulties in life? Every single insecurity and guilt came crashing back down to him, the guilt eating him up that he felt like he couldn’t even breathe properly. He knew what to do – at least he convinced himself he knew what to do in a relationship. He just didn’t know how to express it. His harsh breathing racked his body while he tried to calm his mind from the frustration, trying to stop his thoughts from consuming his already tired night at the studio.. He’s done it multiple times ever since you left. But just for tonight, he allows himself to fully come to terms with his feelings and it was evident from the way he sobbed that night, scribbles of words and phrases he wished to tell you all forgotten.

Writing was easy for him, yes. But writing about love will never be the same because he knows what love is now – it was everything he never was.

Leviathan, Asmodeus, and Belphegor with an MC with Chronic Pain

A/N: There’s a small reference to Belphegor controlling dreams. I’m bringing this up because I can’t remember if it’s a popular headcanon or if it’s actually canon. This is the final one for the brothers dealing with an MC with chronic pain, but feel free to ask for a related request for this series or for a different fandom I write for! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this :)

➸ Leviathan

Leviathan has absolutely zero clue on how to help, but will ask if there’s anything he can do

If you ask for ice, a heating pad, pain pills, or anything else, he will gladly go get it for you (unless he has to leave the house, then he’ll grumble and complain but still do it)

He’ll offer to watch anime with you or have you watch him play a video game

He would prefer for you to be in his room if you don't want to be alone, but if you really would rather stay in your own room he’ll do it

You were lying down on a pile of pillows in Leviathan's room, earlier deciding it was best not to lay in a bathtub on a bad pain day. He was sat on the floor with you, his computer balanced precariously on his knees as his dexterous fingers pressed key after key causing combo after combo. His gaming ability was genuinely impressive. You could easily view his screen without craning your neck and silently said a thank you to him for tilting the screen in your direction. He seemed to be having fun, playing a new single player RPG he thought you would like. Seeing his excitement when he wanted to share his interests with you was almost enough for the pain to be a little less bad. You continued to hear the clicking of keyboard keys as he played, and for some reason, despite the pain, you were content.

He’s one of the least affected if you’d like to be alone; he understands that sometimes you want to be by yourself

That isn’t to say he doesn’t sulk somewhat as he’d very much like to be there for you

➸ Asmodeus

Will jokingly offer to perform intimate activities with you

“You know~, orgasms are an amazing painkiller~.” “Asmo, stop.”

Will pamper you if you’re okay with it; this includes face masks, painting your nails, a massage (as they help some people with pain), or even style your hair

During the whole thing he’ll be incredibly gentle with you

He would prefer to have you in his room since that’s where all of his stuff is but if you’d rather stay in your own he’ll bring a -suitcase- bag full of products to pamper you with

If you’d rather be alone he’ll definitely verbally complain but leave you be

He may end up texting you reminder messages

You had just woken up from a nap when your DD rang. You looked over and picked up the phone, clearly seeing Asmo’s name light up the screen. You unlocked it and read his message. ‘Don’t forget to drink water babe ♡ hope you’re feeling a bit better than earlier, I’m here if you need anything (ɔˆ ³(ˆ⌣ˆc) ‘. A smile involuntarily spread across your face at the text. You sent back a quick thumbs up sticker and reached for the water bottle at your bedside table and took a sip.

➸ Belphegor

He’ll offer to cuddle or nap with you

If you’re in too much pain to have someone touch you, then he’ll sleep near you

You had softly asked Belphegor not to cuddle with you today, your pain being too much to have to deal with the physical pressure of another human body on yours. Although you could easily see the disappointment and hurt on his face, he respected your wishes. Much to your dismay, he ended up making himself comfortable on your floor, already dozing off once his head was on his arms. You smiled at his sleeping form, appreciative of his respect for your space and somewhat in awe he was already asleep.

On these bad pain days, if you’re okay with it, he’ll pull a chair up next to your bed and hold your hand as he dozes off

Belphegor had dragged one of your desk chairs over to your bed, creating a grating sound in the process. You were lying down and choosing to move as little as needed due to the pain. Belphie pointed to your hand. You put your arm out palm up in response. Belphie placed a light kiss to the center of your palm and interlaced his fingers with you.

“Get some sleep.” He said, and you began to feel a bit drowsier. You both dozed off, hand in hand.

He probably won’t get up to get you anything unless he absolutely has to; he ends up asking Beel to grab things for you

He’ll control your sleeping and dreams by inducing sleep and giving you good dreams so you can sleep through the pain; he’ll also try to do anything he can to make sure the pain doesn’t make its way into your dreams too

He may not outwardly show it all the time, but he is concerned for you

( let’s say you chose Corazon from OP and chose.. Heart), [ Name or You ] and Rosinante had been together for quite a while and naturally, you know how late Rosi can be when he comes home from work so you decided to bake him some snacks for when he gets home!

However, Rosi comes home a little bit earlier and finds you in the kitchen, humming a tune to yourself as you baked the cookies and just enjoyed yourself, the tv playing in the living room for some background noise.

Seeing you smiling and enjoying yourself brings a warm smile to his face at the sight and he goes over to you, before wrapping his large arms around your figure and hugging you from behind.

The action is enough to startle you and jump, and somehow, you end up giving him a face full of flour while you were making the dough. And so he falls backwards, releasing his hold on you.

He sits there a little stunned before erupting into a bit of laughter as you start rapidly but quietly and stammering out an apology for the action- not knowing it was your husband. Rosinante just waves it off with a large grin.

“No worries, my love. It was a nice move to fend off a possible predator that broke in, even if it wasn’t on purpose. I see you’re making cookies, and since I’m home, can I help?”

I’ll do small headcannons / mini dates they’d take you on sorta? For example,

Despite not being much of a baker himself, he truly admires your passion and when he gets a free day, he’ll take you to the bakery near the park to enjoy some sweets without making you make them, as you enjoy this small date with each other. You two end up getting many free samples of different sorts because the owner seems to think of you and Rosi as quite the cute couple~ lol idk

i grew up under the impression that English is the basis of intelligence. i grew up watching influencers and shows that use English. i grew up paying a peso for every word i say in Filipino, despite living in the Philippines, for my school was an English speaking one.

i live today in a world where people would learn English just to get a job, just so they won't be told off by others, just because they're made fun when they speak their own language.

don't you think that's messed up?

if i remember my sixth grade history right, Filipinos learned English because we were colonized by the Americans. those Westerns tried to make us one of their states, and declared our Independence Day on the 4th of July. imagine.

(thank goodness Philippine Independence Day was changed to the 12th of June.)

we still continued speaking English even when the Americans left though. can you blame the Filipino, though? we were under the impression that the Americans are better, and by speaking their language, we'd be more like them.

ah, colonial mentality at its finest.

i feel like English became the world's "standard language". i don't know if it's actually a real thing or what, but it would make sense.

i acknowledge that language unites people. it lets them share their ideas and exchange. it gives them common ground, it's the bridge between finding out about each other's experiences.

but for people to bring others down for speaking their native language?

i've heard of people making fun of other's accents and languages, including Filipino. it's disrespectful and wrong to tell off other people for speaking in their own tongue. we grew up with our own language, and we're the ones adjusting to keep up with the English speakers.

every language is beautiful, but people need to learn how to respect each other.

and i'm voicing these thoughts out right now because it's Buwan ng Wika in the Philippines. In English, Month of Language. i just can't help but think about the whole "being bilingual" and "English is the basis of your intelligence" takes.

well, your ability to speak English is a basis of intelligence, but it isn't the only basis. some people would take your ability to speak as the only basis, and that's wrong for me. however, we have to keep in mind the main language people use - and in this world, for most jobs, it's English.

a minor thing i want to bring up that's kinda in the topic is the language content creators use.

most people nowadays are on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, watching or creating content. and most of the time, at least the creators i watch, English is still the language used. creators that'd use a language other than English would tend to not be as famous as those that do speak English.

i'm someone that wants to be content creator, (i mean, i technically am being one now). at the same time, i'm more comfortable with speaking in Filipino (which is my native language) instead of English.

do any of you reading this think i'd make it far if i speak/make my content in Filipino instead of English sometimes?

and just in general, actually. do y'all think content creators that use English along with their native language(s) would have as much as a shot in the creation game as those that just speak English?

i apologize if i had any grammatical errors in this. this post is a more "free, spew what i'm thinking" post, haha.

Toko! I was thinking of creating an ask the character blog for IDV or Genshin Impact and wanted a few tips on how to start off. Anything you can share?

ey yo my dude!! thank you so much for this question, now im lowkey tempted (again) to make a genshin ask blog sjadhlkshgkahshglsaj anyway my 1.5 cents is under the cut, yall know how much i talk here HAHAHAHAH

uhhhhhh so i guess we start with picking a character u really Vibe with tm? I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE COMMON SENSE BUT LIKE ive been considering making a genshin ask blog for a while now but i never really got to it cos i couldnt really decide on a character (plus the fact that their outfits are. so intricate. is also a hmm since i try to follow details to a t) (at first i wanted to do zhongli, but i feel like to be able to muse him well u need to know the lore super super well, which i dont n im too lazy to research on that aha. n u know how much i respect characterizations, especially for such a complex character like him. i also considered xiangling for a period of time mostly for guoba but also like i have 2+1 blogs here n having one more might not be a very good idea aha) (as for aesop he was my Hyperfixation Character tm also cos i looked at his kit n went Yep i could work with this. probably)

so assuming ur not a dumbass like me n u kinda know who u wanna pick, id actually say to snoop around here for other ask blogs n kinda get a feel of the... scene? is that the word? or like u know, other blogs that u can potentially vibe with. ive run a couple of ask blogs before this current one (both that have died for different reasons) n from my experience interacting with other blogs (if theyre okay with it, i think most should be) is pretty fun. it also kinda helps get ur blog around to other ppl on other blogs so they can go Oh whats this cool shit n check u out, n its also a reason why we kinda reblog promo posts for other blogs (also cos we’re always excited when someone new comes on, its really the more the merrier. we see all :eyes:). interacting with other blogs is also an option when ur inbox is looking real roomy too

another reason why i havent exactly done a genshin blog is that idk i cant actually seem to find genshin ask blogs around (i have seen rp blogs, or those that answer asks with mostly text instead of art, but thats. not my thing since i hate my own writing aha) (i did find one aether blog some time ago, but for some reason i hardly see them around anymore??? idk man i might be wrong). its not like im trying super hard to find them ask blogs, so im sure they exist out there (hopefully?? im not sure but im being optimistic). i mean theres nothing wrong with just starting an ask blog without others around, but for me i do find a difference when i interact with other ask blogs n when i dont, n i prefer when theres others to have fun with (unfortunately i couldnt find any ask blogs to interact with in my previous fandom. i tried, but the blogs i approached seemed to go inactive shortly afterwards...) plus u get to meet friends that way too :D (i made a lot of friends via idv askblogs n its really been a joy vibing with others)

as for the idv scene. gestures around me. unfortunately there are a lot of ask blogs that arent that active anymore, but theres still some of us who are alive n kicking empty inboxes, n im sure everyone would love to see a new face around. winks at u. also there seems to be a lot more blogs popping up lately, which is really heartening to see.

then u kinda just. make ur blog? n a starting introduction post so ppl can reblog it n spread the word XD n yay u have a blog i guess??? XD

i gotta say tho. dont expect ur blog to take off immediately (especially for smaller fandoms like idv, tvbh i didnt think my blog would even get half this far when i started cos of how non existent idv tumblr seemed to be) n ur inbox will probably be looking pretty empty a lot of the time (or at least filled with some that u havent quite thought of how to reply to yet aha) (but also like empty inboxes happen pretty often, im sure most of us here have experienced this problem)

in the case of the first ask blog i ever started, it never really took off at all. ngl it was kind of demoralizing n depressing but to be fair i had picked one of the more obscure characters in the series, so obscure that many ppl in the fandom would have never heard of this character before. if u wanted to know, i took a character that only appeared in the 2nd musical of the series, who also made a very brief cameo in the manga to acknowledge his existence within that universe. thats how obscure my character was, but i went with him purely because he was my favourite character. i will say though i did enjoy it while it lasted n i learnt a lot from the experience, n i think thats whats important really.

i guess this kinda leads on (not really but let me digress) to the whole uhhhh thing where if u choose a more popular character, u get more attention. which is fine i guess? if u really vibe with the character, i mean theyre popular for a reason. n choosing a more popular fandom (like genshin) would objectively also get u more viewers n numbers. but like honestly i believe that ask blogs are meant for u to have fun with, n like trying to get popular gets tiring pretty fast (this shouldnt be like a main goal, but u know sometimes u subconsciously also want that gucci follower count n bomb ass notes or something. i used to be guilty of this until i realized it isnt worth it) especially if ur not enjoying yourself in the process. (case in point: my previous fandom was considerably larger n my blog got about 700 followers within a year or so, but it got very tiring n stressful to maintain after my interest in it died, n no one was really interacting with the blog even though i tried which kinda made it even more depressing despite the so called success n popularity of the blog)

anyway on a less serious note, theres a lot of fun stuff u can do with the ask blog, like some ask blogs have really fancy tags that i really like n try to do but also like not really HAHAHAHA. i kinda just channel what i want to see in an ask blog into my own ask blogs (good art is one, i try very hard for it to be good :,DD another is characterization, n others is just extra miscellaneous arts n stuffs like au ideas or memes. these are also somethings u could work on during ask box downtimes perhaps)

uhhh another side thing is like a posting schedule i guess? like ppl would be more likely to interact (i think) if ur blog is relatively active, n this is usually determined by the last post u made (i think XD). but like generally for blog maintenence id say try to kinda find a frequency that ur comfortable with?? cos i know my once a day posting is kinda insane if i wasnt so hyperfixated on all of this n fight the urge to dump all ur replies when u finish them XD (though ive seen some blogs do that n they do it pretty frequently so its pretty nice to know once u see their post u can spend some time going through the latest batch of posts XD) the queue function is pretty useful here even though i truthfully have never really used it, i kinda just post from my drafts really but it also helps to space out ur content to seem somewhat active especially when u dont have the time to be working on replies sometimes. i hope u know what im trying to say here aha

ANYWAY that was like my 1.5 cents cos i dont even think its worth 2 cents HAHAHAHAH these are just my thoughts from running all my blogs up till now, some that are still running n the others that have just died a natural death. i wouldnt actually delete them (theyre still around actually XD) cos theyre kinda like archives n i can look back at what i did last time. cos ngl i made some high quality stuff back then, n i dont even know how i managed to do that aldhflhdsgk. also ppl do look at archive blogs every now n then for the content thats there yknow

5 times Yizhan choose each other over something else + 1 time we can do the same for them

Disclaimer: Treat this as fanfiction, because it’s actually based off a bjyx fanfiction prompt on ao3: “5 times yizhan were asked to make a choice between love and any other thing”. I saw this prompt over a month ago and it stuck with me. Since I don’t have the patience to write an actual fanfiction, I started to observe if I can realistic instances to fit this prompt.

1) Gg chooses dd over his pride. During the TJ fan-meetinng, the host talked about gg and dd’s thin waist. Dd was extremely unhappy and rudely rebutted the host. Afterwards, it can be seen that gg is telling dd that it was fine and he should’ve just laughed it off. Here, gg is more worried about dd being seen as “rude” and would rather take the hit than to cause harm to dd.

Easter Egg: The tone here is almost scolding, warning dd that his straightforwardness could be misinterpreted and use against him. Gg is usually polite but this lecturing response shows us that he treats dd as someone that he cares about, someone that is close to him.

2) Dd chooses gg over dancing. I’ve mentioned more in detail here. But basically, dd loves to synchronize his dance moves exactly with the beat of the music. Usually when dancing by himself or with others, he’s more focused on the dance moves. Even with his own trainee, he is more focused on demonstrating the right moves (becoming a role model) and hoping they can catch up to him. However, when dancing with gg on variety shows, he’s more focus on synchronizing with gg and making him feel comfortable. (People joke that he’s watching his face and not body.) He would repeat moves he already did or moves backwards when gg did in order to match him. Of course there is also the difference between dancing for fun vs dancing for a performance. But we can all see how happy dd is after he dance with gg regardless.

3) Gg chooses dd over his schedule. This comes directly from Bombology (great video btw, highly recommend.) Gg was suppose to be filming a commercial for two days. However, dd wanted gg to attend the 11th anniversary of ttxs where every host brings their “musical partner”. (Strange right? They’re acting partners, not really musical partners. But the key here is that gg’s attendance that day was NOT to promote The Untamed.) The director of the commercial later said during a live stream that they had to condense their 2 day filming schedule into 1 because gg had to go film ttxs. What goes into this change in schedule? For someone as polite and serious about their job as gg, it probably took him a lot of apology and coordination with the other cast and crew to achieve this, not to mention extra work now that they have to fit 2 days of filming into 1. And then when he went to ttxs, he had to learn the aforementioned dance routine on the spot. Did he seem mad about all this? Nope. He did it in whatever way to make dd feel happy.

4) Dd chose gg over motorcycle. Everyone that knows WYB knows how much he loves motorcycle. His fans are even call “motorcycle jie jie” because he once said his motorcycle is his girlfriend. So this became a shock to me when I noticed something. This may be over or mis-interpreted so don’t quote me on this. Remember the bts where gg said that dd sent him 5 high-def photoshoot images? Dd then refuted with “What no, you sent photos to me first.” Gg then said “I send you photos of helmets.” (The sub here said selfies but if you listen carefully, it’s actually helmets. It’s probably helmets that gg is asking dd to choose for his birthday present.) However, dd didn’t hear the word helmet and continue to argue, “You sent me selfies.” Then gg admitted that he sent selfies but that they weren’t high-def photos with large files. The point here isn’t that dd misheard selfies for helmet, but the fact that gg did indeed sent both helmet AND selfies. But what did dd pay attention to and remember more? The selfies. Yes, dd has found someone that grabs his attention more than motorcycle.

You think this is stretch? dd mentioned before in order for him to want to talk to you, you must have some similar interest with him like skateboard or motorcycle, etc. However gg has 0 interest overlap with him yet he talks to him the most.

Easter egg: One time, during an interview, the host ask dd what he would respond to fans saying “You only have us.” He said “No, I still have my motorcycle.” What is interesting is that when he said motorcycle, he looked over at gg who was sitting next to him.

5) Gg chooses dd over rest. During the filming of The Untamed, you can see dd having more energy and wanted to play with/bother gg. But gg has significantly more lines to memorize and scenes to film so he’s usually either tired or trying to memorize his lines. There are of course instances when he does play around with dd. But what’s more telling are the times when he needed some rest or some time to focus on his lines and dd is just frankly (to me), being annoying. However, gg never once demonstrate any body language or words of finding him annoying. Yes he does tease him like saying “shut up” or telling others to ignore him (I think that roof thing had something more to it though, related to something that happened earlier that day but I’m not really sure). But even during these times, you never feel like he’s annoyed at dd. Instead, even when he’s busy, he’s creating a safe environment for dd to just play around and be himself.

I just want to point out that even though they made each “choice”, none of these are “sacrifices.” They willing did these things for the one they love and they never have to feel like they’re giving up a part of themselves for each other.

The 1 time we can choose them over ourselves: Respect them. Do not give false media the means to harm them by ignoring negative, berating news. Do not give stalker videos or information attention so they’re not encouraged. Support all their works, even if certain contents may “ruin the ship” because that’s part of their job. And if bjyx turns out not be real, be happy for them anyways because they found people that can make them as happy as they are now.

In our holiday spirit, we—@stardustlogan and @viclouis—decided to host this year’s Sanders Sides Secret Santa! (Ah, the alliteration. My 8th grade English teacher is trembling.)

You may be familiar with how Secret Santa works, but just in case, here’s what’s going to happen:

1. Sign up by filling out our sign up form here.

The information you provide in the form will decide what kind of gift you’re going to create and receive, so be sure to fill it out as accurately as possible!

You can specify which characters, ships, types of gifts, and more on the form. Your safety and comfort comes first, so please make sure that you mention it if certain characters/ships trigger you (e.g. Deceit, Remus, ships with either of them, etc.)

2. You will then be matched with a giftee, for whom you will create your gift according to their Secret Santa wishes.

3. Once you have finished making your gift, you will submit it to us via email or a file sharing platform (i.e. Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).

4. Gifts will be posted on this blog starting on Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) for your giftee (and the fandom :D) to enjoy.

Posting will be spaced out over the span of around a week so that your creations don’t get buried under everything else that’s being posted, so don’t fret if you don’t see your gift or your creation posted just yet on the 25th!

At this point in time—this late in the game—people probably understand that Roland is the default for me when dealing with ask memes, so it’s understandable that askers would want variety and ask about different characters. That, and I don’t typically receive a lot of asks… Unless you meant that statement in a different light. But, don’t be fooled. I am always at the ready for Roland, and always appreciate getting asked about him or sought out for expertise.

FYI AND DISCLAIMER: all answers are in relation to Digital Devil Saga unless stated otherwise. There is a couple of places I very briefly glaze over Quantum Devil Saga, but nothing that could be considered an actual Spoiler is said; no plot points. Considering QDS 3-5 are not translated, I feel a need to address that point, specifically with Roland.

ROLAND:

How I feel about this character

In short: he means a lot to me, more than I could ever try to explain. In length: not to sound like a fictionkin or get personal, but I feel a sense of kinship and understanding—friendship, too, even—with Roland. Although, this is due to the fact I’ve dedicated a lot of my time over years in understanding every possible encompassment. This bonding had grown from a conglomeration of both similarities of situations and years spent with him as a coping mechanism and hyperfixation, so connection and reverence seems like an unsurprising conclusion.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

1) Adil (OTP).

2) Greg, but only under certain circumstances. If his wife is involved, and she is not deceased, I don’t particularly ship Roland and Greg together. However, if the relationship is treated as one-sided (Roland’s side), past romance, comfort in confusion, or similar; then I’ll ship it.

3) Gale. It’s more of a “for fun” ship, since I couldn’t see them in serious, lasting commitment or domesticity, but being paired through their dynamic as two intelligent men tied through Lupa/Greg and Fred is interesting and entertaining.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Adil and Greg, the BrOT3.

My unpopular opinion about this character

A short answer is that Roland was an apt leader and a poor coward. His Avatar wasn’t Indra wrongly.

He doesn’t get the credit he is due. Many of his accomplishments get dismissed because something is stated in word and accepted as is rather than evaluated by his whole. The scripter/translator choosing “Actions speak louder than words” as his dialogue in the moment of a turning point within him is not solely about his loyalty to the Embryon. Its concept is the foundation of his story arch and how it’s framed. Two oppositions clash: the division between what he and others say about him in comparison to what he actually does and accomplishes in canon.

Then, there’s a different answer before I had thought about the leadership comment, which is less of an unpopular opinion, and more of not being a fan of seeing Roland and his drinking caricatured for comedic purposes. If there is one trait that has the possibility of being over exaggerated or backhandedly addressed, it is his alcoholism. I know I’m the one who just stressed that Roland’s story is framed in a specific way and that this part of his character (qualities and constitution) isn’t meant to be the primary focus. However, although his drinking habits is more of a precursor, it’s not something meant to be disregarded either, and separating it apart from his hardships (trauma, grief, stress, anxiety) corrodes its nature and severity. It’s not a punch line, and making it one devalues it.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wish DDS Roland also had QDS Roland’s background as an EGG Facility employee. Even though his character makes sense as is, it’s very shallow and monochromatic. Having this extra context enriches his place and purpose within the overarching story. Each playable character and the series’ antagonists have ties to the Society in some way—except Roland. Instead, he’s just some random fellow who simply got lucky with surviving that long. If he had this background context, it would be akin to Angel, Sheffield, O’Brien, Real Argilla, etc. It’d simply make more sense.

I also understand that there is the possibility that this particular part of his character was not fully developed by the time Godai left the team and ATLUS finalized how Digital Devil Saga was going to pan out as a video game. However, I am not going to give Tadashi and ATLUS that credit, because the more that this information sat within me, the more I recognized reasoning and logics behind some of the things he says and does.

The game may never have said he was Karma, but it also never said he wasn’t Karma.

GALE:

How I feel about this character

He’s relatable—a steadfast and loyal tactician devoted to his role and service, struggling to understand (his own) emotions, and more readily understands through textbook knowledge. He is cautious with cause, creates conclusions based on the most reliable information, and is not one to trust in chance. Then in Quantum Devil Saga, he over explains and is excessively wordy: a trait I love in him. These points also connect back to generally liking keeper and the-brains-of-the-group type characters.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

1) Lupa.

2) Jenna Angel.

3) Roland. Refer back to the reasoning in the answer for Roland’s section.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Cielo. The two of them have the “one character is fun, energetic, and easygoing; while the other character is strict, static, and steadfast,” which is a good, clichéd combination because it works. They’re opposites that work well—and believably—with each other instead of clashing against each other. Their competition to convince God to revert the world “back to normal” in DDS2 shows how they’ve learned from each other; Gale being more laidback to grandeur and Cielo gaining some seriousness (outside of determination).

My unpopular opinion about this character

The closest thing I can think of is actually a popular fandom opinion, North American and Japanese, but it’s against what the writer has said. From what I’ve seen, Gale’s age is the “[We] recognize the council has made a decision, but given it was a stupid-ass decision, [we’ve] elected to ignore it” of Digital Devil Saga.

An excuse would be that his AI’s model was meant to be 20 years old while David Gale is a separate age, but considering Heat and Serph’s models’ ages match up with O’Brien and Sheffield, I don’t think this was the (intentional) case.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

An answer doesn’t come to mind, so I’ll say I’m happy and content with how Gale was treated.

CC Creators Questions

I saw this on my dash and got so excited -- a questionnaire for CC makers! :D

1. What was the hardest project you’ve worked on so far?

Y’all have no bloody clue how many unfinished projects I have given up on, and how much time I spend/waste on CC I never even finish. I often have no idea what I’m doing, and once I reach a certain point where the effing thing just won’t come out right, and I don’t know who to ask for help, or I do and never get a response, I just lose total willpower to keep going.

2. How long have you been creating cc?

2010-ish -- that’s when I first started uploading to TSR at least, ider. Early on it was just simple wall art (an effton of murals) but I kept reading the tutorials at BPS & MTS & TSR, and once I figured that out I started trying out rather craptastic conversions that are still up for DL, if y’all wanna point and laugh at me. :P Effing sad. Some of it turned out pretty okay though, IMO.

3. What’s your most favorite thing you’ve created?

At TSR my favorite CC uploads are the Clutter Bug and LOTR Scribe sets.

The admins gave me such a hard time when I first submitted this, and I had to throw out like half of the objects included in the set, cuz of the effing UV Maps and blah blah. But the rest of it came out cool.

I am constantly using those objects in my lots. Constantly. The LOTR period was also the very first time I learned about making Alpha Channels on .dds textures -- that opened up so many possibilities! Single objects I’m also really proud of over there are the Ivy/Flower Column, and the Vintage Art Collage, which I also use a lot.

At Tumblr this is a lot harder for me to decide on, since after I came here I could do and make so much more than what was allowed at TSR. I think I had the best time converting from The Witcher 3. I effing love that game. But I also think just the process was the easiest for me, cuz I’ve been doing this crap for a while now and finally knew wtf I was doing -- except the CAS stuff. O_O LAAAAAWD! I gave up on that junk quick fast and in a hurry -- NOPE! Not today, Satan! But yeah, I really like some of the stuff I did from that game, like the Peacocks (duh) and everything I shared for my Lupo Bianco gameplay.

4. What’s your most hated thing you’ve created?

Things I hate don’t get uploaded. XD Y’all think I complain about the crap I DO upload -- that’s cuz I’m being honest when I tell y’all that my work has flaws that I don’t know how to fix, or don’t have the energy to work on anymore. Practically all of my CAS CC is a raggedy amateur mess. I hold on to a lot of crap that I just can’t upload in good consciousness, cuz I know how I react when I install others’ CC and I’m using it thinking wtf, did they upload the wrong file by accident? :P

5. What inspires you to create?

When I first started, it was cuz it was still early in TS3, and the game was still pretty empty, and I didn’t have any of the EPs/SPs/Store CC yet, so I was desperate for content. Then once I started converting, and realized that I could extract stuff from other games myself, I immediately knew that I wanted to recreate my favorite games in TS3. I’m inspired by the fandoms I’m part of, and my style of simming mostly revolves around me trying to create my own extended version of other games and shows I like.

6. What gets you unmotivated to do anything or to delete your project?

Failure. When things start going wrong, I quickly get frustrated and lose patience. I post WIPs sometimes that I don’t even end up revisiting. I just can’t fix the crap, so I rapidly lose the energy or desire or interest in the entire project. I often blame it on laziness, when really I just give up. :\

7. What��s one thing you wish you knew how to do/do better?

I generally just stick to what I know and am comfortable with, which is why y’all don’t see me making build mode stuff, or much functional buy mode cc, or mods/scripts, or creating skintones or poses, or any of the cool stuff I’d love to make but just can’t figure out for the life of me. U_U

8. How long does it usually take you to make something?

Depends on the project, and my motivation to see it to the end. Some stuff will sit on the back-burner for literal years before I finally go back to it. I’ll tell myself I’ll work on it later. Lies, mostly. ^_^

9. Is there a certain schedule you stick to when publishing?

Unless there’s a certain holiday/event going on, where the CC needs to be finished now! now! now! (Halloween & Lunar New Year are my busiest times), I just do what I want. I get so distracted, and often I’m working on a zillion things at once. Sometimes I’m running on pure adrenaline and not sleeping, to make sure I finish the CC on time. I feel bad if I miss something going on that I could’ve participated in, but most times I just tell y’all the CC’s still in beta, and it’ll be ready when it’s ready. :P

10. Your favorite programs to work with?

Crazy as it sounds, Milkshape. :P I effing hate Blender. I don’t understand it -- there are too many buttons and controls and everything’s just a confusing mess. 3DS Max is easier for me! O_O I legit can’t even figure out the frikkin view/camera in Blender! And you constantly have to switch between modes, and everything’s buried under all those effing THINGS on the sides, and I can’t stand it. >_<

11. Who do you look up to (creator wise)?

For CC in general, I worship Sandy/AroundTheSims; always have. Everything they make is just so clean and professional and works splendidly in game. Jelly.

12. How many projects do you have at the moment?

An ungodly number, half of which will no doubt be abandoned before y’all even get the chance to hear about them. :P

13. Screenshot your wips folder (if you have one)

Cute of you to assume I have just one WIPs folder, in one fixed location. XD

That’s what my backup’s thematic specific folder looks like, but that’s not where I keep any of my other game conversions WIPs -- those are all over the place. I’ve had to restart several projects after my external harddrive broke, and now especially I’m keeping everything in different locations and on different drives.

14. Do you plan on creating for a long time or is there a certain period you know you’ll stop?

Dunno if I’ll ever stop, but I know I’m slowing down; I have been for a while now. I’m tired. I hate making CC. It’s stressful, exhausting, time-consuming, and no dang fun, especially when crap is going oh so wrong and you have to keep quitting the game, doing crap over, loading the game, seeing if it’s fixed, and trying not to cry when it’s not. I do this crap out of desperation, when there’s something in particular that I want that I can't find a good substitute for in the game or community at large. So as long as I’m still simming, I know I’m gonna keep being forced by necessity to make crap. But I doubt I’ll ever go back to the workhorse nonsense I was up to in like 2015/6 or whenever my “heyday” was, when I was still experimenting like mad and learning everything.

15. What helps you keep focus during your creating process?

I play a lot of music, that fits the theme of the CC I'm working on, or is lifting my spirits at the time. I can’t work in silence. IDKY, it just makes me bored and tired.

More DD Prompts

Another prompt by @kriladoodles, this time with the words wood, fairy, salt and blood.

Dismas could draw the grain of the wooden table from memory, of that he was sure. He knew its rough surface, every bump, notch and stain. It was his table, in his favourite dig – the kind of place where the air was thick with the scents of smoke, spilled beer and sweat. Hot animal odours, coming from the breath and bodies of too many men packed inside the room.

The rumble of their voices rose and fell, a constant murmur without meaning. Warm condensation dampened the walls of Jubert's taphouse and the glass of his porter, both.

Dismas took another drag, savouring the bitter taste. Like everybody else, he was here for the alcohol, not the company. Unlike everybody else, he might not leave alone, if he was lucky.

This was where people drank to forget their everyday lives, their unhappy marriages, where it did not matter what you downed and where drinking wasn't an answer – because those doing so had long since given up on finding one – but a purpose.

Amidst all of it, one figure stood out. There was just something about his rigid posture that screamed military. He was seated by the bar, his mug untouched for the last half-hour. The short distance between them meant that Dismas could make out his features; short but messy brown hair and beard, and the body of someone who took to workout with the devotion pious men reserved for religion.

He had been watching Dismas from the moment Dismas had set foot in the bar, and he hadn't bothered to be subtle about it. For now, Dismas was content to wait and to keep up the cat-and-mouse game where their gazes would meet and flutter away again.

Let this play out as it would. He could be a patient man, given the right incentive.

Meanwhile, Dismas wondered what the stranger's hands were like. Rough? Gentle? Either way, he knew they'd be large and strong. Strong hands were important, especially if you wanted them to hold you down as you were fucked through the worn mattress of some shabby motel room.

A swivel of colour in his glass alerted Dismas that somebody had approached and was doing their best to intimidate his back.

"You might want to move over," a deep voice said impatiently, when after a while Dismas still showed no signs of having noticed their presence.

The corner of Dismas' mouth twitched at the tone. Seemed like he'd made some friends already. Meant they could get to the next level, up close and personal. That too was why he liked to come here. Jubert wasn't finicky about blood stains on the furniture and the floor.

He turned around, slowly, and seized up the speaker. He probably had a hundred pounds on Dismas, who barely stood as high as the other man's chin. His buddies were big fuckers too, and they were in their cups already. It was easy for Dismas to put a label on them. Thugs who had learned to use their combined size to intimidate in order to get their way.

Fun fact; with shattered kneecaps everyone was smaller than he was.

"And why's that?" Dismas asked in a deceptively friendly voice.

"'Cause you don't need a table this big all to yourself," one of them said.

"And you saw me being lonely and wanted to offer to ease my loneliness, that it?" Dismas drawled. That did not go over very well. "Don't bother, yer too ugly for me. And now piss off!"

"Why? What's a lil fairy like you gonna do? Sprinkle some glitter on us?" the original speaker asked.

Someone in the back snickered. A circle began to form, the patrons of the bar sensing a change in the atmosphere. Lazy, alcohol-induced sedation was suddenly charged up with the expectation of a fight.

Maybe they had something against earrings. Maybe Dismas had checked out the wrong arse. Either way, front guy was going down.

Dismas chanced a quick look over to the bar. Soldier boy was sitting up straight, a fine line between his dark brows, but he did not move to intervene. Maybe he liked a show. If so, Dismas would be happy to provide him with one.

"You know," he began, as if his intention was to talk. It wasn't. It just served as distraction when Dismas stomped on the high arch of the nearest foot, not pausing to relish the crack of breaking bone or the subsequent howl of pain, before he put the heel of one hand in the other man's solar plexus, punching his throat with the other. From there on it was get a hold on a tattooed head and bash it into the table – his table.

The salt shaker fell over and broke, spilling its contents all over the wood, white and gleaming in the low light. If Dismas' mood had been foul, that would have been teeth.

But tonight he was one right jolly fellow, and just let go of the now unconscious man, scooping up handfuls of salt to toss onto the slumped figure.

"There's yer fairy dust, ya flatwankin' piece o' shite."

The fight was over and done with before anyone could so much as move a muscle to intervene. This was the dangerous part, where the crowd didn't know how to react yet. In his back pocket, Dismas could feel the comforting weight of his trusty switchblade, a far better friend in dire situations than the two open-mouthed goons had been.

"Anyone else wanna get cute?" Dismas snarled at the shocked audience. He had spent the free hours of his wild and wicked youth in the cages in backrooms of establishments like this, fighting with his bare fists and razor sharp knives alike. And now his blood was up and he was ready and willing for more, but they had the common sense to back up. In the space they created, the owner of the bar pushed his way through.

"Trouble?" Jubert asked, cracking his massive knuckles. He was a man who knew how to use his size to his advantage, as Dismas knew from having seen him break up countless brawls.

"You know me, Jubie," Dismas said, spreading his arms in a gesture of innocence. "I'd never."

Jubert snorted, then looked over the two thugs who had managed to pick up their still passed-out friend. "There's the door. I suggest you see yourselves out," he said, pointing.

Dismas got away with a warning look that he duly noted and disregarded. He picked up the stool that had fallen over, then sat down again, the crowd around him dispersing now that the entertainment was over.

As if by a miracle, Dismas' drink had survived the scuffle. He chugged the last of the beer in one go, set down the glass with a thud and stood, his mind made up. A moment later he could see how the object of his interest observed his approach in his glass, and smirked.

Alcohol, sex and violence; the cheap thrills of Dismas' life.

"Hey there, hot stuff."

If the soldier reacted positively, he might get laid tonight. If not, he'd have another, and hopefully better fight. Either way, it was a win-win.

The man turned, not bothering to feign surprise, and scanned Dismas: from the scuffed leather of his steel-toed boots to the worn red scarf around his neck, an old favourite of Dismas'.

His brown eyes held Dismas' own for a long time without blinking, before he finally offered a single word, "Reynauld."

"Dismas," Dismas introduced himself with a grin.

Reynauld broke into a matching smile and flagged down the passing barman.

"Two beer."

Dismas chuckled and fully settled on the stool beside Reynauld. Seems like tonight was his lucky night, after all.

Last September, A Geek Girl’s Tees joined a growing array of small shops specializing in t-shirts emblazoned with fandom-themed quotes, slogans, and designs.

Geek blogger Michelle Stallings launched A Geek Girl’s Tees after custom-making a trio of Haunted Mansion shirts for a trip to Disneyland. A Ravenclaw who enjoys geek culture and playing games, her motto is, “Flaunt your fandom.”

Her goal in starting A Geek Girl’s Tees was to tap into more niche fandoms and create merchandise with original designs she wasn’t seeing in the marketplace.

Stallings has long been active in the geek community, creating the blog A Geek Girl’s Guide in 2015 as a “place to be openly geeky about things I love.” The website features reviews, recommendations, guides, how-tos, and other geeky content.

She also founded Geek Blogs Unite, an online community of geeky creators that includes a Facebook group and Instagram and Twitter accounts.

A Geek Girl’s Tees offers tees, tank tops and hoodies, children’s shirts, baby bodysuits, bags, mugs, and stickers. The shop’s designs pay homage to everything from movies to video games, science fiction to anime, and tabletop gaming to Broadway.

Stallings’ designs feature playful quotes and graphics plucked from such properties as The Witcher, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Star Wars, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kim Possible, as well as Disney movies like Frozen and Moana. Some are instantly recognizable. Others allow fans to advertise their passions in a subtle, sneaky way.

Theater aficionados will appreciate the musical-themed tops referencing such productions as Hamilton, Les Miserables, Wicked, and Hadestown. Good, old-fashioned games are also well represented. Examples include Dungeons & Dragons, Settlers of Cataan, and Clue. And if you’re into girl power, you’ll find plenty of items to add to your wardrobe.

Stallings prints every item to order, allowing customers a broad choice of styles and colors.

Temple of Geek Chic recruited a group of seasoned cosplayers to rock A Geek Girl’s Tees at the Santa Monica Pier. The group included Rae , Alexandra, Christina, Madison, and Aaron.

Wicked Witch Women’s Flowy Top

What we love about it: The highlight of this Wicked-themed scoop neck tee is its flowiness. The cut is stylish, flattering, and bears a slogan inspired by one of our favorite songs from the musical.

Model Rae found the top “very comfortable.” She’s a fan of the witchy, Elphaba-green lettering and appreciates that it’s “kinda blousey,” making for an attractive fit. Rae wore a size medium.

The fabric of this top is a little sheer, so you might want to layer it over a tank top.

Mandalorian Mantra T-Shirt

What we love about it: We, too, are obsessed with Baby Yoda, but it’s nice to see some merchandise saluting Best Dad Mando. Our favorite thing about this design is that it’s simple but recognizable. It features The Mandalorian creed in a Star Wars-y font beneath the silhouette of the bounty hunter’s signature helmet. The white on black is an understated alternative to flashier Mandalorian merch we’ve seen.

Aaron modeled a large. He liked the fit and feel of this tee.

Hogwarts Heartline T-Shirt

What we love about it: We’ve never seen anything quite like this Harry Potter-themed top, which features a subtle outline in striking Gryffindor red. That’s saying something, considering the wealth of wizarding merch that exists in the Muggle world. The clever design is ideal for Potter-philes who want to advertise where their true home and heart is.

“I like that it’s reminiscent of a heartbeat,” model Madison said. “For those people who breathe Harry Potter, it’s perfect.”

Madison wore a size small. She liked the fit of this comfortable, flattering basic tee.

Grinning Ghosts T-Shirt

What we love about it: Disney has released a slew of Haunted Mansion apparel since the classic dark ride celebrated its 50th anniversary. However, as with the 999 Happy Haunts, there’s always room for one more. This distinctive design depicts the silhouettes of the Mansion’s famous Singing Bust Quintet, complete with bowler hat-wearing Cousin Algernon and toppled-over Uncle Theodore.

The spooky font features a favorite lyric from the “Grim Grinning Ghosts” song against a cheery turquoise that pairs well with “Haunted Mansion purple.” This is a fun alternative to official park merchandise.

Alexandra modeled a large. She said the fit is true to size and noted this style features a heavier cotton. She liked the top so much, she planned to wear it to Disneyland after our photo shoot.

“It’s perfect to throw on for a Disney day if you don’t want to go really aggressive with a bound,” she said. “It’s simple and unique, which is nice to see at Disney.”

Kuzco’s Poison Women’s Curvy Top

What we love about it: We’re happy to see underrated gem The Emperor’s New Groove getting more love lately. This homage to the animated classic – yep, we said it – is an ode to one of our favorite villains, murderous sorceress Yzma. We especially love the llama in the middle of the circular emblem with the not-so-subtle label signaling Kuzco’s impending doom.

Christina modeled a size 3X and illustrated how you can use the tee in an Yzma bound. She tends to size up her tops for comfort, so she liked the fit.

Overall:

While there are other shops that have been offering similar lettering-based apparel for years, Michelle Stallings brings her own creativity and original ideas to A Geek Girl’s Tees.

We love how the lettering and minimalist images blend seamlessly with the look and feel of the fandoms they represent. Stallings is obviously a super geek who has put thought into her designs.

Another great thing about the shop is the comprehensive and diverse selection of fandoms represented. Whether you’re into D&D, Disney, or a dose of female empowerment, you’ll find something you like.
