The recent Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero conversation once more got me thinking about my old pitch for if SubZero’s existence hadn’t been so violently rejected, so here’s a model sheet that’s Totally Definitely 100% Official.
#honestly after staring into the depths of so many style guides to get the colors right#it was kinda wild to realize that officially the highlights on Freeze’s timeskip design#are just 75% of an add layer of his teal#anyway yeah I’m committing to Koonak’s alias being Subzero for branding reasons#I need to finally make myself watch more Batman Beyond to say for certain#but honeslty aside from the obligatory ‘we’re two superheroes meeting for the first time so we have to have a misunderstanding and fight’#he’d probably get along really well with Terry#though he does worry about the young man#(he’s 13 in SubZero so he’s in his mid-thirties at the start of Beyond)#if there’s one thing he knows very well it’s taking up the mantel of the aging father figure you have a very strained relationship with#(victor’s still alive he’s just. mostly retired.)#(likely to rapidly become un-retired if anyone where to threaten Subzero)#(which given the kinda people who’s enterprises you ruin by refreezing the artic… is more likely by the minute)#my art#Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero#Mr freeze

me, hyped up about Star Trek Enterprise again after finishing my beloved season 3: I wonder if there are any posts about it on tumblr *searches*
me, twenty minutes later, closing the results: ah. I see. it has suffered from fandomification, where fans threw out canon and replaced it with fanon. one hundred and thirty seven polls asking "what was your first/favorite star trek" and it is at the bottom of every one. this between 14million other posts about every other star trek series. some funny memes thrown in for ~flavor~. great. wonderful. I'll just go back into my happy little corner with my parents who unironically enjoy the show with me then.
#star trek enterprise#I don't know what I expected#I mean I didn't really expect anything I was shocked and excited to see posts... at first#now I'm just sorry I asked#for the purpose of answering every poll I came across: star trek enterprise WAS my first exposure to star trek#and yeah it imprinted on me a little#I was definitely in a space era after watching battlestar galactica (1978)#and I loved it#I still unironically love it#not a single post I saw talked about how amazing season 3 is I must fix that#if I have to see one more post talking about how captain archer is an idiot I will go insane#people can be smart and intuitive and still make stupid decisions sometimes without being 'himbos' internet#the man managed to befriend at least 47 different species of alien INCLUDING establishing an alliance#with the aliens who wanted to DESTROY EARTH#Idk maybe I'm just relating to the show on a subconscious level now#because I'm an adult who has been thrown into situations over her head and been forced to use intuition#because no one trained me or guided me#AND THAT'S LITERALLY THE WHOLE POINT OF STAR TREK ENTERPRISE#IT'S HUMANITY'S FIRST TIME IN SPACE AND THEY HAVE HAD NO TRAINING#OF COURSE THEY'RE GONNA MAKE MISTAKES#'star trek enterprise is funny and stupid uwu' THEY HAD TO STOP THE XINDI DEATH STAR SHUT UP#THEY SURVIVED THE EXPANSE THAT THE *KLINGONS* WERE AFRAID OF#HHHHHHHHHHHH#ugggggggh okay I'm getting worked up I should stop

Ayear or two ago i bought this lil Razor Crest snap model and tonight decided to assemble it. Also was able to get a couple of the bigger stickers on it but the individual windows? forget it. Still fun to do while having something on the background.

I could glue em well enough.#I remember the 3-ship model kit (TOS/movies/TNG enterprise). the big 3 foot separating enterprise d (I think I had help on that one)#The Star Trek VI Kronos One. Oh there was also the bridge set#and like 15 years ago I got an Enterprise C. water stickers are also my bane. this one was not water soluble ones but I didn't see any info#also half the instructions were in japanese#but I found the sticker guide/colour gide online#personal

Star Trek: Pitch & Guide> Guide part5--An Overview Of The Sets
BW Media Spotlight's Star Trek: Pitch & Guide> Guide part5--An Overview Of The Sets
Last time we met the rest of the crew. Today’s entry is going to be short because there won’t be as much quoting as usual and will be more of an overview than a deep dive. That’s because there isn’t as much to talk about as when the sales pitch did their set listing. In that, they had to let the network and production company know how much it would cost to build the important sets, at the time…

Cloud Migration Benefits | Transform Your CX Strategy
Discover the range of benefits you can experience by migrating to a cloud contact center solution.
For businesses at the forefront of digital transformation, the shift to the cloud is not just an IT upgrade—it’s a critical strategic move. The migration to cloud-based infrastructure enables businesses to re-architect their customer engagement strategies with increased agility, robust scalability, and an unprecedented capacity for innovation.
The real question isn’t why you should migrate to the cloud—it’s why not. Companies entrenched in legacy systems face more than operational inefficiencies; they risk falling behind the curve in delivering dynamic customer experiences. The article, written by Peter Suciu, discusses the USS Long Beach, America's first nuclear-powered cruiser, detailing its history, technological advancements, and operational service from its construction in the late 1950s through its decommissioning in the 1990s. The USS Long Beach, built by the Bethlehem Steel Company, was notable for its nuclear propulsion, which provided it with unlimited range and led to its inclusion in significant naval missions like Operation Sea Orbit and the Vietnam War. Despite its groundbreaking design and capabilities, the article highlights the challenges and costs associated with the decommissioning and disposal of nuclear-powered naval vessels, drawing a parallel to the ongoing efforts to recycle the ex-USS Enterprise (CVN-65). The USS Long Beach's legacy includes influencing the continued use of nuclear power for U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and submarines.

CISA’s "Secure by Demand" guidance is must-read - CyberTalk

CISA’s "Secure by Demand" guidance is must-read - CyberTalk
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Earlier today, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), distributed a new “Secure by Demand” guide.
The intention is to assist organizations in driving a more secure technology ecosystem by ensuring that cyber security is embedded from the start.
“This guidance is a wake-up call for any company that missed out on the costs and outages caused by Solar Winds, Log4J, Snowflake and CrowdStrike,” says Check Point CISO Pete Nicoletti.
Why the guide
In cyber security, procurement teams tend to grasp the fundamentals of cyber security requirements in relation to tech acquisitions. However, teams often fail to identify whether or not vendors truly embed cyber security into development cycles from day one.
The guide is designed to help organizations discern this type of critical information when evaluating vendors. It provides readers with questions to ask when buying software, considerations to work through regarding product integration and security, along with assessment tools that allow for grading of a product’s maturity against “secure-by-design” principles.
More information
The Secure by Demand guide is a companion piece to the recently released Software Acquisition Guide for Government Enterprise Consumers: Software Assurance in the Cyber-Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) Lifecycle.
While the latter focuses on government enterprises, this guide broadens the scope to encompass a wider range of organizations across various sectors.
Key points to note
The two guides work in tandem to provide a comprehensive approach to secure software acquisition and supply chain risk management.
While the software acquisition guide targets government entities, the demand guide offers insights that are applicable to private sector organizations, non-profits and other institutions.
CISA strongly advises organizations to thoroughly review and implement the recommendations from both guides.
Each guide offers practical, actionable steps that can be integrated into existing procurement and risk management frameworks. Yet, that alone is not enough, according to Check Point Expert Pete Nicoletti…
“In addition to implementing this guidance, companies should add supply chain-related security events to their incident response planning and tabletop exercises to ensure they can recover quickly and with less impact. Further, review supplier contracts to ensure that expensive outages caused by them, offer up their cyber insurance, rather than just recovering the license cost,” he notes.
