Security Breach Halloween Special
Silence - @snoozinginspace
Summary: Something is wrong with Freddy but Gregory can’t notice as his trust in the animatronic is too strong. This trust costs him his life in the worse possible way.
Warnings: Child Death, Gore
There wasn't much time left. Every second was gone instantly but his movements felt slow. Gregory was communicating to Freddy through his Fazwatch through the whole ordeal. It was just two a.m. and Gregory was trapped after grabbing a security badge. He was stuck in the Backstage security room with Monty and Roxy at the four doors banging the power out of them. Not only did he have to zap the animatronics while they banged on the door, Gregory had to run around looking for Freddy waving at all the tv monitors. What made his anxiety worse was the fact that Vanny knew where he was and she was on her way. It was too much for him to handle all at once but he has to if he wants to live.
Each step Gregory released a deep shaky breath. There was no time to stop and rest. He needed to clear the path for the animatronic bear who was his only hope. If it wasn't for that lucky second wind, who knows what could happen to Gregory. Gregory ran over to a security door and slammed his hand on the button. Monty screamed in pain and backed off just to pace around the door. The child started running to the other side of the room but saw Freddy on screen waving. Gregory pressed the button and witnessed his friend run through a, now, opened door. He continued his run to the other side and shocked Roxy. Fear crept up Gregory's back in a wave of shivers when a loud noise was made behind him. The crate to the vent was being moved. "Jump down," that safe voice shouted.
Without hesitation, Gregory ran to the opening and jumped down. Freddy was quick to catch the boy and gently placed him on the ground. Gregory's face lit up with relief. "Freddy! You saved me!"
The animatronic bear chuckle, "of course. I promise to keep you safe."
"I couldn't find any lift controls in there," Gregory pulled out a disk from his pocket. "But I did find this weird disk thing."
Freddy looked at the disk in Gregory's hand. He was slouched forward with a hand on his stomach. The animatronics head twitched as his eyes met the young boy's. His eye lights flickered for a second, a small flash of purple appearing. Unfortunately the child didn't take notice. Freddy was a person that had all his trust. Gregory tilted his head and lowered his hand that held the disk, “um, Freddy? You don't seem to be doing so well."
Freddy blinked, seeming to break out of whatever state he was just in. "Sorry, superstar. That is a program disk for the stage show. If you use it in the sound booth, you should be able to run a showtime program which will activate the lift.”
The child looked down at the disk in hand. Freddy was depending on Gregory to help him. It's the best he could do to return the favor. Gregory spun around, ready to continue his task to help Freddy. "Alright, let's hurry."
Freddy took a step closer to the child while his back was turned. His hands dropped to his sides as his posture straighten up. He hovered over the child, staring down at him with a slack jaw. The twitching of his head worsened. "Gregory, how about you climb into my chest cavity. It will be a lot quicker for both of us to get out of here."
Gregory turned around and took a quick step back. His nerves were still getting to him but he didn't expect to see Freddy standing so close behind him. The child looked unsure to Freddy's words. "Are you sure that's safe? You look horrible, no offense.”
"I promised to keep you safe, did I not?" Freddy's eyes and ears twitched. His stomach hatch opened slowly. The emptiness invited Gregory inside.
"Okay," Gregory said with a small sigh. If they need to go quick, then they needed to go quick. If Freddy wasn't safe enough for Gregory, he would have said so. The boy moved over to the bear and climbed right inside the small space like he's been doing all night long. He had to scoot around until he fit in perfectly. He waited quickly for Freddy to get moving. When Freddy didn't, Gregory spoke up. "Hey, we can get going now."
There wasn't any reply which worried the child. He felt relieved when there was finally movement. He was just about to relax when something hard pressed against his side. Gregory turned to see one of Freddy's gear pressing dangerously close. His head whipped to the other side as something began poking him. He tried to stay calm but the panic began to rise. "Freddy! What are you doing? "Gregory knocked on the hatch. A sudden throbbing pain stabbed into his back. He inhaled shakily with shock and horror as blood began to trickle beneath him. Another metal gear pressed against his head, slamming it against the hatch. "Freddy," the child screamed and tried prying the hatch open. His nails scrapped against the metal as everything around him got tighter. Gregory let out a scream of pain as the metal on his sides pierced through his skin. The tears rolling down his cheeks dripped down to mix with the pooling blood. "Freddy! Please! You're hurting me!!!" At this point he was unable to do anything. Everything kept pressing deeper into his body. His legs began to crack in multiple areas, the snapping of bones echoing through the tunnel. The child screamed in agony until a gurgle of blood came out. He couldn’t tell if his vision was going out as he was encased in the dark. He stopped withering around as his skull cracked against the hatch. He couldn't feel anything under his waist. Gregory's finger tips felt cold. He tried to scream for help until he couldn’t. The moment that metal crushed through his skull, everything went black.
______________________________________________________________________
Freddy turned on in his room just like he had earlier that night. He looked at himself in the mirror. His disheveled looks were completely fixed and cleaned off. That's right, Gregory must have taken him to Parts and Service and must have done maintenance on him. The animatronic whipped around scanning the room for the chid. He was unable to reach connection to the Fazwatch. "Gregory!? Where are you?” Freddy was relieved when he saw the child sitting on the red couch leaning back against the pillows and plushies. The animatronic took noticed at Gregory’s look. The child just stared at the floor with dark bags under his eyes as if he were crying. "There you are, superstar. I do apologize as it seems my system crashed again. We can continue finding a way out of here," the bear smiled.
Gregory lifted his head and glanced at Freddy. There was an unusual glow from his pupils. "I think I'm just going to rest here" he mumbled.
Freddy walked over to the couch and sat besides Gregory. "Is there something wrong?” The animatronic scanned through his system but realized that it had been messed with. Had Gregory touched his system? There’s no way a child could do such a thing. Maybe it was just part of the reason why he crashed. There was a portion of memory missing starting after they were discussing about the showtime disk. "How did you get me here?" The child said nothing which worried the bear. The time was," six a.m.? But it was just two a.m.! Have I been out for four hours?" Gregory nodded and looked up at the animatronic. "I am so sorry. I did not mean to leave you for so long. Since it is six in the morning, the entrance doors are now unlocked. I can walk you there if you would like that."
"Don’t worry, I'll protect you for now on,” the child smile slightly. "I won't let him control you again."
Gregory sat up, "I don't think I can leave now." He leaned against the confused animatronic.
"I... do not understand." Freddy's ears lowered. Had something happen while he was out? "What do you mean you cannot leave?" Did he fail to protect Gregory??
"Gregory, please tell me what is going on." The animatronic felt panicked. Something was wrong and he couldn't figure it out. He could feel it though. He could feel that he knows exactly what happened but he doesn’t know. It didn't help with Gregory making no sense at all. The child leaned his head against Freddy's metal body. Freddy was going to say something but didn’t. He had the feeling that it was best to stay silent. Silence was all that was left.
Notes: I tried writing gore lmao. I kinda like this concept so I’m thinking about making a short series of Freddy and Ghost Gregory

no you DONT know queer pain unless you've seen the end scene in the series finale of hit 2004 show house md everybody lies when you realize house and wilson are simply now a shell of what they once were ending as they had began, freeing each other from cells they didn't want to be in with bail money they didn't have but at least they were together when it all went to shit

One of my favourite examples when talking about how well Wilson and House know each other, is the episode where Wilson becomes convinced that House has a gun. The fact that Wilson even knows House has a gun in the first place shows how much they know each other. But in the episode, they both trick each other and Wilson breaks into House's apartment and House tries to stop Wilson, but eventually Wilson outsmarts him and ends up going through House's apartment and everything he owns, all while House is insistent that he does not own a gun.
And then, at the end, Wilson pulls up to House's office, brandishing the gun, going, "Ah ha! I knew it." And House rolls his eyes and tells Wilson it's fake and Wilson doesn't believe him, and House eventually hands him back the gun and tells him to shoot him. So Wilson is standing there holding a gun with House encouraging and trying to goad him into shooting him to prove that it's fake. Eventually, Wilson gives up and gives House back the gun and concedes. And then, at the end, it's revealed that the gun was real, and House's bluff was to try to get Wilson to shoot him with a loaded gun as a way to earn his trust.
This is such a good example because I feel like it wouldn't have worked the way it did with anyone else. House was betting his life on how well he knows Wilson, he was so sure that Wilson wouldn't risk shooting him even with a fake gun, that he handed him a loaded weapon and tried to convince Wilson to shoot him. He only did that because he knew Wilson wouldn't. Wilson, on the other hand, knows House well enough to know that he definitely had a gun, and there was always a chance that it was real even if House said it wasn't. He took the gun with that knowledge and refused to do what House was encouraging him to do. He knew House well enough to know that House knew him well enough that there's a chance he'd pull a bluff like this. And so Wilson didn't risk it. They know each other so well that House can hand a loaded gun to Wilson, convince him it's fake, tell Wilson to shoot him, and then be secure in the knowledge that he's not in danger because Wilson wouldnt do it.
I feel like 90% of the characters would've just shot him because they fell for it and wouldn't have believed House would pull something like that. And I don't think House would've pulled that with anyone but Wilson.

wilson saying “I need to do this. for you.” is fucking insane actually. in the same episode where house is deciding whether or not he should commit suicide as a result of wilson’s dying. They are each other’s lines between life and death. humans have a biological instinct to preserve their survival at all costs; house has an addiction that governs his life. but they were willing to forgo all of it for one another, because they couldn’t fathom it being any other way. IM SICK

i find it a very interesting choice that house md ends on enjoy yourself rather than you can’t always get what you want or maybe even the actual lyrical version of teardrop by massive attack.
enjoy yourself is the most optimistic of the songs and i’ve seen people complain that it kind of comes from nowhere and the actual meaning of the song especially considering that post-canon, wilson will die and house is dead figuratively (and will probably die literally with wilson), the song is not only a call to the viewer to live their lives to the fullest but asks house and wilson to enjoy the time they have left as they drive away from us, their stories are fundamentally over.
enjoy yourself is only referenced one other time in the show when hallucination amber sings it to house at a restaurant just before the hallucination finale of season 5. this presentation of enjoy yourself by “ghost” amber, someone who haunts house from his guilt over her death and near destruction of his relationship with wilson as a result is also a callback to her death in the first place. house is so scared by hallucination amber singing this song to him he begs wilson over the phone to pick him up, the exact request that killed amber. the optimistic song about living out your life to the fullest sung by the manifestation of his guilt, someone who died too soon also coupled with kutner dying 3 episodes prior to this, just makes the final use of this song so fascinating. the house writers obviously called back to this moment because it was house’s fear of death and change that made the initial scene scary. meanwhile house accepts wilson’s death and his death in the finale after healing and growing. this is why i think enjoy yourself is the perfect finale song. the house writers are telling us that they accept that their time is up and we should too, even though death is horrible and tragic and scary at the same time, everybody dies.

y'all ever think abt how it was julie having the affair and it is even said multiple times that she was the one who left him, yet wilson was still the one who left their home and moved in with house. like. he couldn't bear to stay in their home alone. he immediately ran to house and stayed on his couch for weeks. suffered through his pranks and his laziness and his manipulation. telling him he wants him gone while sabotaging his attempts to leave. and he only left once he got a girlfriend again.
#chyanne speaks#house md#hilson#hate crimes md#gregory house#james wilson#i think his inability to be alone is such an interesting quality of his that isnt touched on enough#like yes we all haha at his long string of unsuccessful relationships but we dont talk abt it all stemming from his inability to be alone#his first wife leaves him and then he remarried quickly#he cheats on the second wife and remarries quickly#the third wife cheats on him and leaves him and he immediately moves in with house#and then starts dating a patient and immediately moves in with her#but!!! then he moves into the hotel and is alone for like almost a year! and honestly he NEEDED IT#bc GROWTH happened in that year and he meets someone who doesn't fit his M.O. who breaks away from the mold#although he does immediately move in with her too but still. amber was different. she was the step in the right direction#and then she dies.#and then wilson throws himself into the left field. everything needs to change. he's spent so long fearing being alone.#so he tries to leave so he is completely and totally alone without house to fall back on#but house needs him. he needs him too much. they need each other too much.#and he falls back to house again. and he's content that way. he's always the most content when he's with house. always feels the least alone#and then sam comes back into his life and ruins e v e r y t h i n g#he falls right back onto those old patterns. kicks house out and moves her in. and then what happens??? of course??? she leaves him. again.#and then he's alone again and it hurts. he gets a cat that we only hear about twice and then never gets brought up again#but wilson has his kitty. he has house. he's not alone. he can be content.#and then house fucks everything up. he goes to prison. wilson is alone again.#im honestly SHOCKED that wilson didnt remarry in that year they were apart but he was rly trying to change!#he was working on himself and trying to make changed he thought would be good for him#and then house comes back. and house won't LET wilson be alone. he wont leave him alone.#and it's exactly what wilson has been yearning for since the day he drove that car into cuddys house#and in the end. as long as he had house that was all that mattered. as long as he had house he wasn't alone.

In one of my older Judgement Boy posts someone left the tag "Oh this guy has DID for sure" and at the time it was not intentional but *grits teeth really hard* now it is. Don't worry about it.

Thinking about how last night, at 1 AM, my sister (who isn’t into Ace Attorney) and I were at ihop, and I was very tired and my ADHD meds wore off hours before, so I was rambling about Ace Attorney and trying to explain to her why I don’t believe Gregory Edgeworth was 5’9. I was trying to tell her that, at least in my head, he was 6 feet tall.
And she goes “You say he’s 6 feet? Yeah, 6 feet underground” and I didn’t know how to respond
