Jetzt hat völlig überraschen Google sich dazu entschlossen sein neues Pixel Fold Smartphone vorzustellen. Nähere Infos soll es auf der I/O am 10. März 2023 geben. Die große jährliche Entwicklerkonferenz wird als Zeitpunkt für die Präsentation weiterer Informationen zum neuen Pixel Folde ganz offiziell hervorgehoben. Jetzt veröffentlich Google zudem eine erste Video-Animation auf der das Pixel Fold zu sehen ist.

Damit hat Google allen bisherigen Leakern den Wind aus den Segeln genommen und Google hat nun selbst, in einem ganz öffentlichen Beitrag auf seiner Website und auf Twitter damit bestätigt, dass das Pixel Fold realität werden wird. Das Unternehmen steht derzeit staark unter Beschuss und einige Kritik ist sicher auch gerechtfertigt. Leider hatten sich ein paar Pannen gehäuft und Kunden auch sehr verstimmt.

Um so mehr haben aber Nutzer und Fans auf richtig gute Nachrichten gewartet, die Heilung für die Wunden bieten würde. Und auch die neue KI von Google mit der Bezeichnung Bard war eventuell auch viel zu sehr in die Negativschlagzeilen geraten. Während man den Mitbewerbern im Thema Künstliche Intelligenz Fehler gestattete, war man bei Google nicht bereits Zugeständnisse an ein Produkt zu machen, welches sich ja eigentlich noch in der Entwicklung befunden hatte.

Ein echter Hit musste also her. Etwas auf das eingefleischte Fans schon seit langem warten, etwas das auch die kritische Fachpresse einmal dazu bringen würde von etwas anderem, ja etwas neuem zu berichten. Auch etwas, dass ein bischen wenigstens von den Peinlichkeiten der letzten Wochen ablenken kann. Und da gab es eigentlich nur eine Sache die genug Potential hatte, um die Fans und Presse von den Socken zu hauen. Eine Sache die auch das Smartphone Geschäft ankrubeln kann, bei dem es scheint, das Google hier dezeit alles richtig macht. Und das ist ein

faltbares Smartphone von Google!

Es ist eine absolute Sensation mit großer Reichweite und Wirkung. Auch wenn viele sich zu Beginn dieses Gerät wohl eher nicht leisten können werden, so dürfte es beim nächsten Tausch oder Hardware Upgrade im laufenden Vertrag mit dem Mobilfunkanbieter ganz oben auf der Wunschliste stehen. Gut gemacht Google!

LiDAR reveals vast ancient Maya city and complex networks hidden in Mexico's Campeche forest

Archaeologists have uncovered thousands of ancient Maya structures and a large city named Valeriana in Campeche, Mexico, using aerial LiDAR technology to penetrate dense forest cover.

The discovery, which spans around 47 square miles, includes urban and rural settlements with reservoirs, temples, and roads, resembling other major Maya cities.

Previously overlooked due to its inaccessibility, Campeche is now recognized as a vital part of the Maya Lowlands, revealing complex urban planning and extensive connectivity among Maya cities.

The findings challenge the view of Maya cities as isolated entities, instead suggesting a vast, interconnected network.

Experts consider LiDAR a transformative tool, reshaping understanding of ancient Maya civilization and its environmental adaptation, organization, and conservation needs.
