There’s still good people out there - today at a very busy and big public transportation station, an elderly man fell of his bike on a road. I was quite far away but immediately wanted to go towards him to help him up and within no time 4 people that were close to him ran towards him, helped him up and got him and his bike off the road safely 🥹 they made sure he was able to walk and felt okay before they left. It almost made me cry seeing there’s still several people willing to help without even thinking about it.

I Hope he‘s fine and I’m so glad so many people helped and I’m sure more would’ve helped, had it been necessary!

Long Time No See!

Sepekan terakhir ini disibukkan dengan ketemu teman-teman lama. Rabu dan Jumat kemarin, aku dateng ke acara wisuda Unpad. Hari Rabu ada teman-teman satu jurusan yang wisuda dan hari Jumat ada teman satu LDK wisuda. Seneng banget bisa ketemu mereka. Seneng juga bisa melihat bestie-ku wisuda. Ada Diah, Teh Cipa, Tasya, Fityah, Anni, dan kawan-kawan lainnya. Pertama kalinya (sepertinya) Himasa ngarak wisudawan dan wisudawati walau tidak seperti arak-arak-an ITB. Setidaknya Himasa sekarang menyambut para wisudawannya. Setelah kata sambutan serta ucapan selamat, dinyanyikan bersama untuk mereka hymne dan mars Himasa. Malunya, tidak seluruh mahasiswa Sastra Arab hafal dengan lagu kebanggaan jurusannya sendiri. Berarti mereka tidak terlalu bangga, bukan? Aku pun sudah lupa lagi. Hal yang bikin malu juga karena pada saat bersamaan ada himpunan dari FPIK yang sangat heboh mengarak para wisudawannya. Heboh dalam artian mereka menggunakan perkusi serta asap warna-warni begitu. Ya, apalah jurusan kami. Tapi, aku tetap bangga dengan himpunanku.

Aku bisa bertemu dengan teman dari LDK. Sudah setahun lebih mungkin tidak bersua. Mereka masih sama menyenangkan. Tapi mungkin karena aku sudah lepas dari dunia per-LDK-an sejak tahun lalu, aku jadi tidak bisa nimbrung dalam obrolannya. Untung aku pergi bersama temanku saat itu jadi bisa pulang duluan.

Setiap pulang dari acara wisuda atau datang ke sidang akhir teman, pasti sedikit terbebani dalam pikiran. Terbebani bahwa aku masih begini-begini saja. Semua orang sudah melanjutkan hidupnya. Ah, bicara soal terbebani, sebelum datang ke acara seperti ini pun aku selalu merasa terbebani. Terbebani karena harus memikirkan mau ngasih hadiah apa untuk mereka. Seringkali aku sedang tidak punya uang saat itu tapi ya mau bagaimana lagi, bukan? Aku merasa bahwa sekadar ucapan selamat pada momen seperti ini tidak terlalu berkesan untuk mereka. Tapi aku berpikir, hitung-hitung ini sebagai kegiatan memberi hadiah kepada teman. Yuk, dilurusin lagi niatnya, Asmi.

Terima kasih kawan-kawan yang telah membersamai selama ini. Kalian pergi duluan, tidak apa. Toh, pada akhirnya kita semua akan saling meninggalkan satu sama lain. Semoga di lain kesempatan bisa bertemu lagi. Semoga kita sama-sama di surga-Nya nanti (kata aku si pendosa). Kata-kata yang terucap ketika bertemu nanti bukanlah kata-kata judging melainkan “Long time no see!”
