Just a little ghoul ramble, basically about Rain

The ghouls cannot speak human language, so it doesn't really make much sense that Sister Imperator insists that they attend the clergy's meetings. Most of the time, the ghouls just sit there, bored, staring into space. The only ghoul who is completely engrossed in the conversation is Rain. Ever since he learned one sentence in English, he feels like he's an expert at it. The fact that he doesn't even know exactly what his one English sentence means doesn't matter at all.

Rain beams with joy as he blurts it out during a brief pause when no one from the council is speaking.

"Are we doing an encore?"

His pronunciation is a little uncertain and he mumbles a bit.

Impressed, envious looks from the other ghouls, irritated and uncomprehending looks from the clergy.

"Okay," says sister imperator after a few stunned moments. "Thank you for your...valuable contribution, water ghoul."

Rain's smile widens and he bares his sharp fangs. He doesn't know what she said, but it sounded positive. Satisfied, he leans back in his chair, slid closer to Dewdrop, who pats his thigh with an admiring expression and catches Mountain's gaze, who gives him the thumbs up. Rain looks proudly over at Copia, who is obviously struggling to keep from laughing and then to Phantom, who stares at him with big, violet eyes as enthusiastically as if Rain had just hung up the moon and the stars.

Rain did a great job, he knows he did.

The siblings of sin avoid the ghouls as much as possible.

The clergy doesn't like it when the ghouls attack humans, but it does happen from time to time. (And to be honest - nobody cares if a sister of sin is missing...)

That's why it's common for the siblings to always have a spray bottle of holy water with them. As hellish creatures, the ghouls do not like anything blessed. The holy water burns on their skin like hell.

To keep Dewdrop or Swiss at a distance, the siblings of sin sometimes have to spray an entire bottle empty. Aether, Cumulus or Mountain keep their distance on their own, but they are so polite that the siblings don't see them as a threat anyway.

Rain is normally not a threat but he is really, REALLY curious about human things and and therefore sometimes tries to get a little closer. If he gets a little too close, the siblings scare him away with clapping or loud noises.

This only works badly if Dewdrop is nearby and hears his beloved water ghoul being scared away by the noise. Then the siblings of sin definitely need more than one bottle of holy water to save themselves...

Another character class appreciation post! This time it’s the Clergy class from Disgaea!

They’re the male healer units in the Disgaea series, and I love how he’s designed! The twin ponytail doohickies are especially cute, and I love the huge cuffs!
