Bridge had just wandered into Miguel's office after handling matters separate from the mission, and she is no less befuddled by the sight of the form Miguel has been forced to take. Beans. This man--thing--is full of beans. And everyone was just hovering around him like he was some kind of science experiment. May as well be, with how obscure this metamorphosis was. She can still remember the sounds his body made whilst undergoing the transformation... Horrific. She shudders.

"Greetings... Apologies for my absence, I had other matters that needed attending. How is, erm...?"

Her gaze wanders over to the Blob-guel. Her eye twitches in inherent discomfort. She doesn't want to know how it must feel.

"... How is... Miguel?"

Horrible, she imagined.

Miguel wasn't sure when or how the mission today went wrong. It was just another run-of-the-mill dimensional displacement-- a rogue villain got suckered into the wrong place and brought havoc, and Bridge and Miguel had to be the custodians to clean it up. It was supposed to be simple. Routine, even. The villain was a B-grade 19th century alchemist who was so edgy he named himself after the devil, for shock's sake! A great calm field mission for the weary droid.

Unfortunately, God must have a massive vendetta against Miguel O'Hara.

The fight already was a headache in and of itself. This Diablo wasn't quite so B-grade-- he just had to come from a universe where alchemy wasn't just a bunch of crock dreamt up by lead-poisoned old men who thought they could turn rocks into gold; he was an actual super-powered, god-assisted mage-in-all-but-name.

Qué maravilla.

Not only did Miguel have to call for back-up; no, that wasn't humiliating enough. Right before Miguel could get the hard-light netting around the alchemist, the bastard full-force threw something at him faster than his (already battle-fatigued) reflexes could allow him to dodge.

Now... he can't exactly remember what happened after. Maybe his brain blocked it out or something. There was the impact. Excruciating pain, so raw and visceral; bones crunching and muscle and skin warping in ways that should never, ever be possible. The muffled voices of Bridge and Peter.

And then...

Well. He woke up back in HQ.

And he couldn't speak. Couldn't scream. Couldn't move. Was suddenly far too small and far too vulnerable. In the place of hard muscle and worn flesh was some odd soft, gelatinous filling, poorly held in by some odd, stretchy membrane like a water balloon. Strong limbs gave way to nubs of flesh, unjointed and stiff; barely able to support his unwieldy new body.

And he was about 5 inches tall.

And Peter was shocking cooing at him and poking him and- and- and-

Christ. Okay. He can- he can solve this. He's smart. Nobody outside of who was with him during the mission would have to know! He'll just shut himself in his office and... hop on the keyboard to make some elaborate lie about being out of commission due to some injury. Wait until either the spell wears off (it better shocking not be permanent) or for LYLA to make an antidote.

This is- fine. Controllable. Pantshittingly terrifying? Yes. Some sort of new personal hell? Yes. Extremely humiliating to the point if it ever got out, Miguel might never be able to show his face to the damn Society again? YES.

But- it'll.... it'll be fine. Surely.

Now if he could just squeeze his way out of the hand holding him, that'd be great too.

with the inclusion of the more intimate scenes between Geralt and Yennefer in Sirens I do wonder if those were some scenes they wanted to include but he refused to do it ( and refused to have a body double do)

I also wonder if this is an indication that there will be some spicy Yenralt flashbacks in season 4 because this is clearly how the characters behave in the book and this is how the writers want to portray them ( and it wont take up a ton of time those scenes were effective and they were only like a total of like 2 minutes)

or is it an indication that they did it here in animated form because they dont want to do it on the main show for pacing reasons or some other reason

i think it’s most definitely an indication of how they wanted to write Geralt and especially his interpersonal relationship, especially with Yen and Jaskier, and I also think it’s a hopeful indication of how he’ll more or less behave in s4 (considering the depressive slump that he’s in during BoF) especially seeing that both the writers who wrote Sirens worked on s4!

It was so lovely to see a more emotionally mature Geralt who visible cares about Jaskier and Yen like wow it felt so good !!

I also believe 100% we’ll get Yennefer Geralt scenes in S4, whether they’ll be flashbacks, deems, or current timeline I’m not sure, but with everyone expecting to see Liam and Anya’s chemistry there’s no way they’d deny it, and I’m SO excited

“M’sorry,” Angel says, barely above a mumble. Nowadays she only does this when she’s stressed, and for her it’s been a while since drugs haven’t taken that edge off. Valentino’s appearance impacted Cherri more than he thought. Guilt licks through him, shame in its wake. He can handle Valentino just fine…but not everyone can.

“Bitch shut up,” she snaps, smacking her palm to his forehead and completely derailing the start of his spiral.

Husk huffs a laugh. “There’s fuckin’ two of you.”

“The fuck is that supposed to mean?” Cherri glares at Husk.

Angel’s shoulders rise toward his ears again, tension threatening its return.

Husk chuckles warmly, though, instead of getting defensive. “You both’ll call anyone ‘bitch’," Husk says, grinning at her. "Friend or foe. Did Angel get that shit from you or did you get it from Angel?”

Cherri shrugs, mollified, and Angel laughs as his stress now fully dissipates. He and Cherri have been friends for so long and been fucked up for so much of it that he can't even remember. She confirms the same for herself when she says, “I’ve got no fucking clue, old man. It was probably me who said it first, I’m the cooler one.”

That has Angel scoff. “Yeah right!”

“Tonight even proved it!” Cherri says, smirking down at him.

“Uh, I’m the one who told an overlord to fuck off in a crowded club!”

I have been writing this fic for the last six months and chapter one is FINALLY now up!

This is a deep dive into Angel Dust’s character arc and how that impacts his relationships - romantic, sexual, friend, or familial. And just because he’s not the main character of the A plot of Hazbin Hotel doesn’t mean he’s not a big player, no matter how desperately he tries to avoid other people depending on him.

Can’t let anyone down if they don’t expect anything of ya, right?

Huskerdust endgame but it will be a long journey. Like I-have-started-writing-a-sequel journey. The Valangel relationship will end but it is shown and depicted in the meantime.
