Hey everyone! A lot of things have been happening on here recently, and I know a lot of people may still be processing things. I have a few things to share:

I'd like everyone to know that Vern's Hometown will start in September and will be rolled out in parts, each one lasting about a week. This way, everyone a chance to interact with it if they wish in some way!!! I believe a couple other accounts will now be joining in, too?

The Silver/Steel mod has been kind enough to give their permission to write for Steel, and I hope his mod likes what I come up with. I'm crossing my fingers that I do Steel some justice!!

I know I've teased and delayed this a few times over, and I'm so sorry! Life got crazy. It's being pushed back a little bit again because I'm now working Steel in alongside Vern and his crazy hometown cast

I hope you're all ready to meet the other seasonal sprites Vern's neighbors with, I'll release some picrews and some info on them shortly! I will also release Vern's Ceremonial Robes Vignette on my birthday (yes, it's this week!)

Anyways, Bisharp are actually the sweetest fucking things imaginable if you actually get to know them. Gilgamesh likes to play with bubble wrap and (used to) cry because he couldn't wear cute little dresses like my Cinccino could. Still gets sad that I won't carry him around in my arms like I did when he was a Pawniard.

Shifting to prop an elbow on a knee, and then his chin in his palm, the Saber's expression remained much the same. "You don't have to, just. I'll listen, if you do." He was doing this... 'considering other people's feelings' thing right, right?

Fate Series - Roleplay

Hello! My name is Hazel, and I'm looking for someone that is interested in the Fate Series and loves to write a lot, like me! I am 21 and I have 9+ years of roleplay experience.

A bit of information before we proceed.

-If you like the Fate series, roleplay regularly, write literate, and are over 18+ (❗NO MINORS❗) then please message me, or like this post, or reblog so more people can see it!

-I have lots of OC's. Masters and Servants. They are all made up, and have their own lore/history/and the like.

-I would prefer it if you played canon characters, given I know how they act and the like. You can use your own OC's too with the CC's.

-I only roleplay on discord. So we'd make a private server for it.

-NSFW is fine! I just don't want it to be the main focus. Mana Transfer is normal of course. I do love Slow Burn and romance- but the angst is amazing too haha.

-Please, don't spam me if I don't reply right away. Usually I do, but sometimes I might be eating or doing something.

-Please don't contact me just to ghost me. That's happened before. Tell me directly if you aren't interested anymore.

-There will probably be canon divergence from the original plot, but we do need to stay within the plot so we don't go too off track.

-I don't mind AU's. Apocalypse AU's, SCP AU's, ect. I love those the most! I have lots of ideas for different AU's. As well as entirely new Grail war's. :]

Online roleplayers are very often trans. Here are some transmasculine perspectives on online roleplay and how it can be useful for gender exploration!

I played a lot of male characters when I was younger since I couldn't be seen that way in real life. Now I mostly play male characters, but I'm more comfortable playing characters of any gender since I'm very socially male now. Playing a female character no longer feels like a stab to the gut.

"I nearly always RPed as guys -- at first because the fandom I first RPed in was mostly male characters, but even afterwards when I would RP with OCs they'd usually be men. Now that I've realized I'm NB and transmasc, I think I might have been exploring gender back then (especially since this was combined with me identifying more with male characters ever since I was a kid)."

I roleplayed as Gilgamesh, the Master, and other male characters before I came to terms with being a trans man, also roleplaying helped me be more okay with being gay or exploring gay scenarios before I could picture myself as a man.

"By being able to play men I was able to explore the idea of being something other than a girl for a bit before I realized I wasn't a girl at all. After that, it was often one of the only places I could act like I was anything but a girl. It's also allowed me to explore transmasculine identities, desire surrounding them, and general queer desire in ways I often could not express in my day to day life due to being mostly-closeted."

"Before I knew for certain that I was trans, I used to roleplay as men to "test the waters" as it were. I only roleplayed one woman and it made me uncomfortable so this didn't last long."

I often use roleplay to act out my male based fantasies in order to cope with my dysphoria, specifically my genital dysphoria. I learned that I could only feel satisfied sexually by fantasizing about two men, then learned that was because I AM a man. Funny.

A lot of the transmasculine people I spoke to were very worried about being labelled a fetishizer of gay men. They often carried guilt with them about their roleplaying habits, feeling as though it was wrong to portray themselves as boys or men online without disclosing their assigned sex.

Once they lost this shame about the practice, transmasculine people were much more comfortable and found roleplay to be a fulfilling way to be viewed as a man without question.

"I used to feel so guilty that I was “tricking people” for so long as I used a male persona online, but I realised this was my transness showing at an early age!"

"Roleplaying was a freeing experience for me as a closeted trans man because I was able to express my desire to be a man without facing any social consequences."

We'll Make Home On a Battlefield

Okay, I ran my intro by some friends and they helped me clean it up.

First of all, it's good to meet you. My name's Marten Antheo, callsign Dragstone, and I'm the residential survival expert and assault lead of the free company Mud Wasps. We've operated throughout the Himalaya line and to a limited extent in the Long Rim; our focus is in jobs with significant environmental hurdles, particularly trans- and sub-terrestrial ops and clearing of hardened locations thereof.

Basically, I've fought in a lot of very deep caves. AMA.

That I'm still here today is a testament to my friends, Threadline, Square Head, Bluelack and Nestor, and especially to my best friend, SEKHMET-class NHP No Future, who helps me run my modified Gilgamesh chassis of the same name. Together we've done all we can to make and safeguard homes in even the worst of conditions.

It was all of them who insisted I make this account, now that I'm seeing a lot less action these days. I'm not exactly the best people person, and my memory's... It's not the best. So apologies if I sound a lot more brusque once I'm off the rehearsed bits, but I'm really excited to get to know some more people out in this galaxy. I think it'll be good for me.

This is more for mun, than for Finland in rp. and this isn't a question. My sister and I had discussed the human names in Hetalia and that Himaruya isn't the greatest at them. We got to Finland, and talked about his last name. We learned that he's a mythological figure. ok cool. the more we talked, the more we made some headcanons. Finland is canonically... bad at naming things. His name choices for the dog, before settling on Hanatamago were strange. (1/?)

((That is a fun hc! I will say though, Väinämöinen actually doesn't sound unrealistic as a Finnish last name. :D

Names of figures from Kalevala are more often used as first names (such as my two cats Kyllikki and Kullervo :3), but Ilmarinen and Tapio are good examples of last names taken from the mythology!

I haven't encountered Väinämöinen as a last name in the wild so to speak, but a shortened Väinämö does indeed exist both as a given name and family name. (It actually happens to be our current president's middle name!) So a whole Väinämöinen as a last name would probably be rare but not raise eyebrows here!

(EDIT: according to a quick search on the civil registry there have been exactly 7 people with the last name Väinämöinen, though none currently living. (unless...?) I also looked up my last name and it's only ever been owned by 83 people, living or dead, so hey a pretty special boy over here >:3)

Yeah, I'm not much for code either. I mean I can wire a shaped-charge baton into primary fire control, but that's about it. Not much use for system warfare when you're creeping through tunnels lined with RA-knows-what.

Wouldn't want to run into much fire down there, though. That'd be a time and a half.
