The Cursed Eyes Edits

It all started in the memes channel where we were all complianing about May's design in MOTR and then a sleep deprived Half-life edited May's eyes onto a statue of Gilgamesh.

A while back, the NA server for Fate Grand Order had an exclusive GSSR banner as part of their countdown to the upcoming Losbelt 7 chapter, so I gave it a shot and got Semiramis.

They also released several exclusive banners for the 20th Anniversary of Fate Stay Night and I got Gilgamesh in one of the banners!

eugh it's so hard to find people to roleplay with these days, everyone is in private cliques and discord servers

so anyway here's my last attempt at screaming into the void to find interactions, these are all the canon characters I write in all the different fandoms. I write para/multipara, just about any genre (esp angst and fluff and smut) m/m ships only and 18+ for various nsfw themes, and I'm open to canon compliant threads and AUs. Vish accidentally got tangled up in being a hero and whatnot, but he’s handling it pretty well! Also got hit in the eye by magic and is blind in it (the purple one!!) Big found family advocate, and calls all his Miqo’te friends (and also Thancred) “mi gatito” (he’s sposed to be russian+icelandic but shhh). He enjoys literally any and all affection, and will fold like a wet noodle. He enjoys being a hero because he’s able to cheer on other adventurers, and the adrenaline rush is fun overall. Also gives superb hugs (muscle + slight squishiness combo), & is a short king himbo that’s got a lot of self confidence <3

He was roped into this 'Warrior of Light' business because apparently, he's the only one who does anything around Eorzea. Outside of his heroic adventures, he usually likes to play with his Gaelikitten or any other cat themed minion he may have, as well as fashion.

Vals' adventures in Vana'diel

So. I've played every Final Fantasy game except XI. I've always been curious about it but heard it's not as user friendly as modern MMOs.

You lose exp when you die, you can't do stuff solo, etc. An XIV FC member recently told me they kind of made it more user friendly by adding trusts (npcs in game that you summon to party with and do stuff with in game) , the xp death penalty isn't as nasty etc.

Back on May 10 the game and it's expansions was on sale for $10 (this happens quite frequently through out the year) and I had been close to purchasing it in the past but this time I took the plunge.

I have to say the hardest part of FFXI so far was installing and setting up the damn game lol You have to have a PlayOnline account (anyone remember PlayOnline from the FFIX strategy guide days? LOL) It took me about an hour to install and set everything up. You literally need a guide to set the game up and get it going.....I had to use one.

Game straight up crashed my whole computer the first time I launched it (off to a great start eh?) but I finally got in and got going.

Now XI is a 20 year old game. You literally have to have a wiki pulled up while playing to do anything cause the game does not hold your hand. The quests give you the bare minimum info on where to go, what to do.

Needless to say the music is fantastic. There are still people playing, granted some servers are smaller then others (there's apparently three larger servers that everyone went to. I chose a small server)

The story is slow going but it's starting to pick up and I heard it's great once you get into it (think getting past ARR in XIV lol)

I also wanted to give it a shot since the new alliance raid in Dawntrail is gonna be from FFXI.

So far I'm level 27 WHM. I started in Bastok. Last night I went to San d'Oria and Windurst, the other two starting nations (took about an hour on foot to travel to them both) Picked up the ability to get a support job. Haven't gotten my Chocobo yet even though the quest for that is level 20 (I have not been to Jeuno yet where the quest is)

The boats in game travel in real time (had to wait 6 mins for it to arrive then had a 13 minute boat ride to the other area) While you're on the boat enemies can board the boat and attack (monsters, pirates, etc)

But I'm enjoying it enough to want to continue past the free 14 days I got for signing up.
