Mija's Halloween

Alexia Putellas x Baby!Reader

Summary: The twelfth of my Halloween-centric fics

It wasn't often that the staff let them have too much fun on camp.

There were breaks for team bonding and a few game nights but nothing like a party, especially not a Halloween party.

But the RFEF could be fickle at times and Alexia knew better than to look a gift horse in the mouth so just nodded along when the staff told her of their plans.

Besides, it just meant that she could finally dig out the Halloween costume from her suitcase and put you in it.

You'd worn it once before at the store to check it was the right size but that was it. The tags were still on it by the time Alexia puts it on you for a second time.

"Mija," She coos," Over here, look at the camera."

You do no such thing, looking down at the scary pumpkin face on the front of your body. Your little brow furrows in confusion as you touch it.

"Mija," Alexia says again," Look, it's our friend Bun-Bun!"

At the mention of your bunny, your head pops up and you watch as Alexia dangles your best friend behind the camera.

"That's it," She says," Big smile. Smile for me, Mija."

You giggle as she makes Bun-Bun do a funny dance while she takes enough pictures of you to fill a whole album before finally returning your bunny to you.

"Oh!" Alexia says," Big kisses for Bun-Bun. Does Mami get kisses too?"

You lean forward and give her more of a big wet puff of air than an actual kiss but Alexia accepts it all the same, finally placing the hat onto your head so you can be a proper pumpkin.

"Now," She says, as she changes into her own costume," You need to remember to laugh when you see whatever silly costume Tia Jenni is wearing, okay? Osita will be a fox like always but Tia Jenni will wear something silly."

You babble a bit back at her, chewing on Bun-Bun's ear until Alexia lifts you up and onto her hip, pointing at the mirror.

"We're pumpkins!" Alexia says," Can you say that? Pump-kins?"

You babble something that kind of sounds like that but also not really.

Alexia takes it as a win, kissing the top of your head before making her way downstairs to where the party is already in full swing.

Just like she predicted, your cousin Osita is dressed up as a little fox complete with ears and paws and a cute bushy tail that you briefly wonder if you can pull.

You don't get the chance to though because Alexia gently presses a kiss to the top of Osita's head and continues walking through the hall, bringing Osita back to Tia Jenni at the same time.

It's not difficult to find the others, hidden away in the corner like they're simultaneously too old or too tired to take part in the quite vicious game of Spoons that the younger girls are partaking in.

"Jenni..." Alexia says," Are you a...?"

"Fork? Yes, yes I am."

Jenni grins proudly back, hands on her hips as she shows off her fork costume.

"And the fox ears are because...?"

"Osita wanted to match." Jenni looks down meaningfully at the bottom of the table, where Osita has hidden herself away with some food and her IPad. "But I've had this fork costume for ages so we compromised."

"You had this fork costume...for ages," Alexia repeats, completely deadpan.

"Since last Halloween," Jenni replies, nodding like she's done something particularly impressive by not assaulting everyone's eyes with the costume until this Halloween has rolled around.

"Mija," Alexia coos, getting your attention again," Remember what I said when we see Tia Jenni's silly costume?"

She tickles your tummy and you burst into a peal of laughter.

"That's exactly right! We laugh at Tia Jenni!"

Jenni rolls her eyes as she gestures towards Irene.

"At least I didn't just bring a sheet and cut holes in it!"

Irene, dressed plainly as a ghost, shrugs.

"This party was very short notice," She says," They're lucky I went out and bought a sheet rather than just cutting up one of theirs. Besides, Matteo wants to be a ghost this year. We can match."

"Well, Alexia knows all about matching. Two pumpkins in a pumpkin patch," Jenni teases.

Alexia rolls her eyes. "At least I'm making my little girl's dream come true. Fox ears? Really?"

"Hey! Osita likes them! Besides, Mija can barely talk. How do you know matching costumes is what she wanted?"

You hear your name and lift up your head from where you're playing with Bun-Bun.

Tia Jenni and Tia Irene are looking at you but you look away because Alexia is looking at you too.

You lean your whole body weight against her, tucking your head under her chin and reaching your hand out to play with her fingers.

Alexia grins down at you. "I think Mija is very happy with our pumpkin costumes."

"I think Mija," Jenni says pointedly," Is up past her bedtime."

Your train of babble has slowed down now and you're more of less gnawing on Bun-Bun's ear like you do with your dummy sometimes.

"Osita too," Alexia says, spying the way that Osita is leaning more heavily against Jenni's legs," I think this is a bit too much excitement for them."

"Well I guess they don't want any sweeties then."

You don't know a lot of words but you recognise that one, blinking blearily as you try to sit up though Alexia's arms cuddled around your body restrict a lot of your movement.

Irene shakes her little bag of sweeties and even Osita pops her head up to take a look.

"Mami!" You whine, kicking your little feet when Alexia doesn't let you lean forward to collect what Tia Irene is offering. "Mami!"

Alexia laughs at the stubborn look on your face, cheeks puffed out in outrage before she finally gives in.

"Maybe we eat this tomorrow, Mija," She says to you as a big yawn racks your whole body," You're very sleepy."

Her finger swipes down your nose and you go cross eyed trying to follow it. Your eyelids feel all heavy and droopy and Alexia is so nice and warm against you.

"Well I think she's out for the count," Alexia says softly, adjusting you in her arms until your head is pillowed against her shoulder," I think I should get her to bed."

A content, sleepy noise leaves your mouth that has Alexia melting as she puts you in your travel crib, smacking your little lips together.

"Your bottle isn't for another few hours," She coos, stroking a finger over your cheek," And then we can cuddle in bed."

You make another soft noise and Alexia just can't help herself.

"You're right, Mija," She says," Let's cuddle now."

Amaimon and the Exorcist (6)

Sorry if there are any mistakes; feel free to let me know if you notice them. If there are, Grammarly has let me down. But really, I've been staring at it so long, I'm reading over any mistakes.

Seti has to deal with so much bullshit he needs a holiday. But really, he's kept reader protected for so long, and suddenly, some demon king pops up interested in her, but Seti can't do anything because reader is an adult. Shame

“I'm sorry, but I have to go back to work now since my arm is mostly functional,” you tell the demon king, who is standing in your living room while you read through the orders you received. Essentially, you're just babysitting. “I’ll call you when I’m done, alright?” Amaimon looks at you with a blank expression. “Can I go?”

“No. A demon king following around an exorcist-“

“They’d probably execute you.”

“Thanks, Seti.”

You turn back to Amaimon, but before you can say anything, his lips are pressed against yours. “Okay. Bye.”

As the door shuts behind him, you turn to Seti. “I feel like that was too easy.” He snarls back at you. “You’re going to jinx yourself.”

At the amusement park, while keeping an eye on the exorcists in training, you would soon come to the realization that you had indeed jinxed yourself. You found yourself standing in front of a food stall, wishing it were open when suddenly, it happened.

An earthquake nearly knocks you off your feet, and Seti huffs in annoyance beside you. “What was that?!”

Seti’s tone is dry. “A demon.”

“Why is there a demon? It was supposed to be a child’s ghost! Damn it, let’s go.” You start running toward the area where you believe the demon is hiding, only to realize that the fox isn't following. “Seti?!”

He sighs, “Go ahead, I’ll catch up. You have enough weapons.”

What is wrong with him? However, you can’t afford to waste time on the temperamental fox, so you shift your focus and run toward the demon.

The first thing you notice is Rin, bloodied and beaten, lying on the ground. The second thing that catches your eye is the demon king looming above him, lamenting his boredom. You push the arrogant figure aside and kneel down to assess Rin's injuries, your focus solely on him. “_____! No," Rin cries out, panic rising in his voice as he sees the demon’s expression shift from emotionless to furious. “Get away!" Ignoring the teenager's frantic warning, you concentrate on examining his wounds, observing that some are healing right before your eyes. Your gaze shifts to Rin’s sword, now in Amaimon’s hands. “Give me that," you demand, swiftly grabbing it from him and placing it beside Rin.

“Don’t touch him.” Amaimon growls, shifting his gaze from the son of Satan to you as he grasps your wrist and pulls you closer. “Let me go; I need to check on Rin.” You struggle to break free, but Amaimon’s grip is unyielding. “I said, don’t touch him!” Amaimon demands again.

“Why did you attack Rin?”

“I wanted to play, but he’s boring.” Amaimon sounds slightly childish as he complains about Rin. “You play with me instead.” He complains. “What are you talking about? No.”

“Why?”

“Why would I want to fight a demon king?”

“I didn’t say fight.” He tugs on you again.

In the heat of the argument, Shura appears seemingly eager to help but hesitates at the strange scene unfolding before her. It’s clear that Amaimon has done a number on Rin, yet as she watches him go back and forth with you, it almost feels like a domestic dispute. “_____?” She cautiously calls out to you, “Are you okay?”  

“Come with me,” Amaimon insists, lifting you off the ground and into his arms. 

“Amaimon, please stop,” you plead softly. “You’re my girlfriend, so you need to come with me.” Thankfully, his voice isn’t loud enough for anyone else to hear him calling you his girlfriend. “I know, but I can’t. You’re a demon, and I’m an exorcist. They’ll think you’re controlling me if I leave with you. You’re not stupid, Amaimon. Let me go.” Frustration clouds the demon king’s face as he notices others beginning to approach. “Kiss me, and I’ll leave.”

“Are you kidding me? Amaimon, I—” His warm lips press against yours. Just like that, it was over as quickly as the kiss had begun. The demon king departs, leaving you standing alone amidst the bewildered group of exorcist trainees. The suddenness of his exit left you feeling both relieved and disoriented, and it took a moment before you could fully comprehend what had just occurred. 

Shura breaks the silence first. "The hell was that about?" she asks, her tone a mix of concern and bewilderment. Seti emerges from behind a nearby tree, apparently having finally chosen to make an appearance. His ears are pinned flat against his head, clearly signaling his annoyance. 

"Damn demon king," he mutters under his breath, his fox eyes narrowing. "Always causing trouble." 

You let out a heavy sigh and move back to Rin's side, redirecting your focus to his injuries. "I have no idea," you lie to Shura. "But we can't worry about that right now.” You brush off the concern, but she glares at you before snapping at Rin to hide his tail. 

After rambling about the situation at the amusement park, you hurry back to your apartment, eager to escape before Shura can confront you alone. The others might buy your story, but the way she looked at you made it clear that she demands more answers.

Upon entering your apartment, the first thing that catches your eye is Amaimon lounging on the sofa. He has shed his jacket and vest, now sprawled out in just his green arm warmers and a black and pink short-sleeved shirt, his golden eyes watching your every move with intense curiosity. “Why did you attack Rin today?” 

“I wanted to see how strong he is; it was disappointing,” Amaimon admits. 

“My friend believes you assaulted me, and now she’s discussing it with Mephisto,” you say, narrowing your eyes at the demon king. However, Amaimon remains unfazed; after all, he should be able to kiss his girlfriend whenever he likes. “What am I supposed to tell her?” you ask, standing before him. Amaimon shrugs, then pulls you into his lap, softly pressing his warm lips against yours. When he pulls away, his cheeks are slightly flushed. He’s simply adorable. Even if it’s his inexperienced vessel responding, you can’t help but find it endearing. While you gaze at the rosy hue on his cheeks, his claws gently trace your own cheeks. You’re both blushing. 

As you pull away, you begin to look around. “Where is Seti?” Amaimon simply shrugs. Instead, he draws you in for another kiss. 

As soon as you break the kiss with Amaimon, your phone rings, causing you to jump slightly and pull away from him. You quickly grab it from the coffee table and see Shura’s name flashing on the screen. Your heart skips a beat, and you notice Amaimon's golden eyes narrowing at the sight of the caller ID. 

“Ignore it,” he commands, though a trace of desperation lingers in his voice. He wants you to leave it and doesn’t want to hear anything that could result in your separation from him. Amaimon is possessive; he’s deeply obsessed with you, in an almost unhealthy way.

You lean down to plant a quick kiss of reassurance on him. “I can’t,” you reply, easing yourself off his lap and walking into the kitchen for a bit more privacy. 

Seti materializes on the counter beside you, his fox-like eyes filled with annoyance as you begin to answer Shura’s call. "You’re such an idiot.” 

“Thanks, you’ve told me.” You remind him as you answer the call. “Hey Shura, what’s up?”

“What’s up? Let’s start with you explaining a couple of things: 1. Why did the demon king kiss you? and 2. Why didn’t you react?" She continues when you don’t answer right away, "Your silence isn't helping. You’d better start talking."

You swallow hard, casting a glance over your shoulder at Amaimon, who is unabashedly eavesdropping from the living room. He remained sprawled across the couch, watching you intently as if you were the most captivating thing in the world. 

Seti interjects, "She's not going to explain anything to you, and frankly, it's none of your business." His frustration with the entire situation is evident. 

"I don't remember asking for your opinion, fox," Shura snaps over the phone, prompting Seti to flatten his ears against his head in annoyance. 

Ignoring them both of them, you center your thoughts and strive to come up with a believable explanation. “I didn’t react because he caught me off guard,” you finally reply. 

"And the part about him being your boyfriend?” 

“You heard that?”

“Yes.” 

"It was my first time meeting him, so I have no idea what he was talking about.” You lie through your teeth.

"Right," Shura says, stretching the word, clearly not buying your lie. Seti lets out a snort. You shoot him a pointed glance before returning your attention to the conversation. 

"And you never met him before today?" 

"No." 

"But he said-" 

"I know what he said, Shura. I'm telling you, I don't know why he said it."

A pause hangs in the air on the other end of the line, and you can almost hear Shura's gears turning as she attempts to piece everything together. "So, you mean to say he just showed up out of the blue and declared you his girlfriend?" 

"Yes." 

"Uh-huh." Skepticism drips from her voice. "Fine, don’t believe me,” you retort, annoyance creeping into your tone. “Can we move on?” 

“I suppose..." she murmurs, clearly unsatisfied. The conversation shifts to the incident at the amusement park and its aftermath, yet it's evident that Shura hasn’t let go of her suspicions. You assure her that you'll meet tomorrow, and after a reluctant huff, she finally hangs up. 

The moment you hang up the phone, Seti's gaze locks onto yours, his expression unreadable. “You really are an idiot,” he reiterates.

“You’ve mentioned,” you retort dryly, placing your phone back onto the countertop and leaning against it.  You’re going to keep track of how many times he calls you an idiot throughout the day. For a moment, you wonder if he ever called your grandfather an idiot when he was younger.

Amaimon approaches the bar, his golden gaze flickering with detached curiosity between you and Seti. “Are you done?” he asks, his tone aloof as he strides into the kitchen, the long, claw-like black fingernails of his hands clicking softly against the countertop.

You nod, avoiding his gaze. "Yes, I'm done."

Amaimon steps in front of you, his presence commanding your attention. His piercing gaze scans your face briefly before he reaches out, gently lifting your chin with his claws to ensure you meet his eyes.

"Are you alright?" he asks, his tone as detached as ever, yet the concern in his eyes betrays his genuine worry.

"I'm fine," you shrug. "I just need to come up with a way to show Shura that I don’t know you and that I’m not your girlfriend.”

Amaimon tightens his grip on you. "You are my girlfriend," he insists, his words slipping out in a low growl that sends pleasant shivers down your spine.

“Yes, I understand. But the order must remain unaware. I can’t believe you kissed me in front of Rin and Shura.” 

Amaimon raises a brow, his golden eyes lighting up in amusement. "But your lips are too tempting," he says, drawing you closer and pressing yet another kiss to your mouth. 

"Stop distracting me," you grumble, though you don't pull away. You enjoy the warmth of his body pressed against yours, his soft lips brushing against your own. His arms encircle your waist, drawing you even closer. 

Seti watches the scene before him with a look of disgust on his face. "Disgusting," he mutters under his breath, jumping off the counter and padding away. 

Ignoring Seti's commentary, you allow your hands to wander up to Amaimon's shoulders, enjoying the feel of his muscles under the fabric of his shirt. "You're distracting me," you murmur against his lips. “From what?” 

“Thinking of a way to reassure Shura that nothing is happening between us.” You run your fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck, “Whatever, I’ll just tell her no. I honestly don’t understand why you didn’t hurt me. That kiss completely caught me off guard. My mind was on protecting Rin. That’s all there is to it.”

A flash of annoyance crosses Amaimon’s face, but he doesn’t argue. “Nobody can know.”

“Brother knows.” 

“Nobody important can know.” 

Seti is perched protectively on the sofa, his watchful eyes fixed on the scene. One of Amaimon’s hands pressed flat against your lower back as he leaned in to kiss you again. The fox growled softly, observing as the king clearly pushed the boundaries, his hand sliding lower. “Keep your hands above her waist.” He snaps. 

Amaimon lets out an exasperated sigh but complies with Seti's demand, keeping his hands above your waist. “The fox is annoying,” he grumbles, leaning in to gently kiss your neck.

“He’s just being protective,” you respond, tilting your head to allow him better access to your neck.

Amaimon's kisses grow increasingly urgent as he trails them up your jawline. A small gasp escapes your lips when his teeth graze a sensitive spot on your neck. You pull away, eyes wide, covering the place he had touched. “I- uh.” You didn’t even know that spot was sensitive. Amaimon’s pupils dilate, and he leans down toward that place again, but you push him back, embarrassed by your response. The demon king doesn’t resist; instead, he steps back, a thoughtful expression crossing his face as he reaches for his own throat. He doesn’t need to voice his thoughts. He’s clearly pondering whether he has a sensitive spot as well, and your face flushes even more at the idea of discovering that spot on him. 

He drops his hand and leans in toward your mouth once more. You barely notice as his right-hand slides from your waist to your shoulder until he glides the sharp claw of his thumb against the spot on your neck. You jolt and jump back again while covering the place. “Amaimon.” You whine, taking another step back. 

“You’re sensitive.” 

“No, I’m not.” 

“Yes, you are.”

“I am not.”

“No?”

“No.”

“Then you won’t mind if I—”  

“I’m going to make dinner. You go sit on the sofa with Seti.” You gently push the demon king toward the sofa. “What do you want to eat?” 

“Wait, I want to bite you.” 

“No.”

How is Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight's relationship after the truth is revealed? I know you said he died in the battle and I wanted to know if in your version of Squirrelflight's Hope would they meet in starclan?

So after The Great Battle StarClan is pretty much inaccessible so unfortunately they don't meet like they could've from a Squirrelflight's Hope point of view.

After the truth is revealed, Brambleclaw is devastated and breaks up with Squirrelflight right then and there out of grief, but has more conflict because Squirrelflight is actually pregnant with Alderkit and Sparkkit at the time in my rewrite. He can't ignore her - she's carrying his kits. He visits the nursery and makes sure she's eating. Brambleclaw knows the kits Squirrelflight is carrying, that he can literally see her pregnant with, are his - he's saddened he wasn't trusted with the secret between Leafpool and Squirrelflight, but doesn't believe she cheated on him. By this point Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight have raised three grown cats, they know each other well. He knows why she did what she did, but isn't sure how to navigate it. Furthermore he's wondering how Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze are doing.

When Alderkit and Sparkkit are born, Brambleclaw is so excited - this is the first time he got to see her kit. Even if Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze weren't his by blood, he hadn't been able to pace outside the nursery, be right there after his kits were born - here he was. His issues didn't stop him from poking his head in, albeit with an uncertain gaze at Squirrelflight. Still, the moment shared between them when they gazed down upon their kits reminded them of their days when the three were kits themselves. They were a family and ultimately Squirrelflight had lied to protect that family. Brambleclaw was hurt, but he didn't want to raise Alderkit and Sparkkit any differently than they had with Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze. By the time Sparkkit and Alderkit are bounding around the camp at 3 moons old, they're happily mates again.

But that happy reunion didn't last for long as the Great Battle came. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw both wanted to stay with their young kits to ensure their safety, Lionblaze being the one to guide them from the camp. Brambleclaw is carrying Sparkkit while Lionblaze carries Alderkit, Squirrelflight still taking it easy after her kitting and getting milk. In the haze of battle they're attacked by Hawkfrost, Lionblaze's Dark Forest mentor and Brambleclaw's half-brother of course.

Dovewing sees this event occur from across the forest with her power, informing Hollyleaf so she can get to them. Hawkfrost is using the kits to his advantage, Lionblaze and Brambleclaw caught so off guard that getting away from Hawkfrost to set them down safely is near impossible. However, Brambleclaw and Lionblaze - father and son - are not going down without fighting.

Hawkfrost deals a fatal blow to Brambleclaw, slashing his brother's throat in same spot the fox trap had got him in his own death. Lionblaze is horrified, and in it his Fury reaches its max power seen thus far. That power allows him to overpower Hawkfrost, beating him in combat for the first time ever in their interactions. Hawkfrost's ghost fades, but Lionblaze knows it'll be back (because ghosts can't die). Hollyleaf arrives a moment too late, horrified to see her father's body, Squirrelflight screaming and crying as she begs him to get up. Alderkit and Sparkkit shake their father and ask him to stand but... he's gone to join StarClan.

Hollyleaf managed to receive her nine lives as the battle ends, just before StarClan is locked away alongside the Dark Forest. Brambleclaw was the cat who granted Hollyleaf her 9th and final life - the life for Family. The life that would keep her caring for her clan, her kin, and friends for the rest of her days, right until the end.
