im kinda meh about ear and tail gears. yes, they look fashionable if you can work it. but beyond that? theyre not much beyond that for me.

they're not my ears or my tail. my tail just flicked, but the physical one that is supposed to resemble it is still as dead. my ears just moved to check that sound out, but the ones you see didn't. because theyre not my ears, or my tail.

shoutout to chronically ill therians who can't do a lot of things that other critters can even though they're the same creature.

shoutout to fat therians who struggle to do quads.

shoutout to mute therians who can't bark, meow, whinny, growl, yip or make any other sound to do with who they are.

shoutout to deaf therians with theriotypes that are known for their amazing hearing.

shoutout to aquatic therians that can't swim, whether it be due to a fear, disability, or anything else.

shoutout to therians that don't quite know which animal they are yet, it's okay. you have all the time in the world.

shoutout to therians who don't have friends or a pack to rely on. you'll find your folks.

shoutout to therians who aren't white and feel isolated in the community because of that.

shoutout to therians who don't have the time or resources to fully be themselves yet.

shoutout therians who struggle to accept themselves as their type just because they're not a "popular" animal to see around.

shoutout to therians who are the complete opposite to that last part, no matter how common or uncommon your type is, it's still okay. you're still you and that is lovely.

shoutout to ALL therians. you are all important and wonderful, if you don't believe it then i sure do. i love you all.

one thing as a therian that I’ll never really relate to is, why must I say I “identify” as an animal.

I am. I simply am. Therianthropy is an involuntary experience, so why would I say I “identify” as a dog and a horse??

I tell people that I AM a dog and I AM a horse.

Unless it’s educating a normie, then it’s “I AM a dog therian” and “I AM a horse therian”

Like ys, this animal is not me in the same way pthers are, but i has become a part of me, and probably always has been, in a way that is so truly incredible. It impacts how I view the world, how I act, where I go, all while not being it in the same way. It might even impact me more on some levels. My heart is of this beast and it is wonderful.

sad to think of how many alterhumans & nonhumans miss/long for their community back.

ants, bees, wasps & termites missing their colonies

canines that miss their packs

horses, deer, elephants, bison and more missing their herds

feral cats that miss their communities

parrots, pigeons, robins, flamingos, geese and more that miss their flocks

dolphins, whales, and numerous amounts of fish that are missing their pods and schools

dragons and cavemen that miss their tribes

I hope you all find that missing community in this life. You're not alone; especially if it affects you very strongly. I'm with you.

the way I see my physical therianthropy is I am a dog I am I am, and that doesn’t reflect what I see in the mirror.

I know I am a in a humans body, but I wouldn’t say I’m a human in any aspect.

The way I explain it is, I wouldn’t call myself a duck just because I’m wearing a duck costume.

I’m a dog and a horse in a human costume.

I am not human.

I wish other alterhumans on therian guide and tiktok were more understandable and respectful of physical therians, because we are just as valid as other therians.

God didn't make me a mare because I would be too happy. I was made for dressage and salt licks and hair ribbons. Not course work and crippling pain.

Oh my god now Im questioning being a horse therian after seeing some horses playing around on a video. Tho Ive been questioning this for longer but kinda then forgot it to not be a polytherian, but I am polytherian!!! Nothing wrong with that. So heck, Im a Friesian Horse!

Might be restarting therapy with a new therapist soon and the eternal mental war of “do I tell them about my alterhumanity or not” is back again 😭 I’m no longer a minor [like I was the last time I was in therapy] so there shouldn’t be any issues, but that ofc only depends on if they uh. Uphold confidentiality 🫠

My alterhumanity affects a lot [if not most], of how I deal with my trauma and see the world, so it would be helpful to be able to talk about that, but of course most of the people around here are extremely conservative xd

All of that said, though, I wouldn’t even consider telling them until I’d had at least two or three sessions and time to feel them out. I haven’t actually met her yet so I’m not even sure if she will for sure be my therapist, it’ll depend on if we vibe or not xD
