throws up. i think about this so much and so fondly.

he's literally just an oversized lapdog, a german shepherd who thinks he's a chihuahua. loves the way gale never points it out, always lets him feel tiny when he wants it, feels so safe and small when gale's got his arm looped over his waist, broad chest pressed against his back, fingers interlaced with john's.

out in the light of day, john plays the role of protector, spends his time being loud and yappy and glued to gale's side like his big ol' guard dog, but when it's just the two of them, he feels safe to let his walls down and be taken care of and gale thinks it's the sweetest thing he's ever seen.
