Disclaimer. Steven Universe AU lore. I’m just gonna lore drop about my boys and some basic infos. You gotta wait for the others if they even wanna post it.

With that out of the way, here’s a timeline

So basic info, instead of the Diamonds working together like in SU, here they’re divided into 4 clans/court

Diamond Authority:

Foot Clan —-Red Diamond, Oroku Saki, Lord

Big Mama —- Purple Diamond, Big Mama, Mother, Mama

Draxum —- Pink Diamond, Father, Boss, Commander

Hamatos —- Green Diamond, Splinter, Lou Jitsu (fake form ala rose quartz), Father

Gems call their diamonds Father/Mother or Commander

The timeline is divided into 3 (maybe 4 now) era: Before, During, and After the Gem War, the fourth one is after the invasion and homeworl shenanigans

Kinda s1 big bad is Draxum and s2 big bad is Big Mama

Gem War is when the Red Court (the Foot Clan) led by Oroku Saki attacked the Green Court (the Hamatos). Nearing the end of the War, Oroku Saki gets shattered on Earth. The other Diamonds, (Big Mama and Draxum) corruption beamed the Earth to get rid of the mess, and left Earth to rot. The War ended. The rest of the Foot Clan scattered, some staying in the Homeworld and integrated into the other courts and some snuck away to try and revive Saki. (Guess whats the Shredder gonna be). The Hamatos remnant are roaming the earth in their corrupted forms. Life continued on, Big Mama and Draxums influence grew and took over Hamato and Foot Clan territories

So Cerulean:

● Lee was created on the reef as part of Big Mama’s court. His batch came out really high quality. All of them are distributed to high ranking army commanders.

● Lee was given to a Demantoid Garnet Commander and joined the ship’s crew. There, he learnt about battle strategy and planning, how to distribute armies, how to expand the empire, how to fight and how to defend.

● The Demantoid Commander was shattered by someone Earth. Lee was devastated because said commander was kind enough to him, and even taught him a lot. He kept a few of the Commander’s shards

● Since some of their army still alive, Lee included, they’re all brought back to Homeworld. Most lower ranks were culled. While the higher ranking ones were repurposed.

● Lee was supposed to be shattered too, but he managed to curry favour with one of the higher rank gems (maybe Frida), that gives him a chance to prove himself to BM. He did manage to earn her curiosity.

● Lee became BM’s personal pearl, now basically doubling as her secretary and negotiator. Got preferential treatment most of the time.

Angelo:

● Angelo emerged early post war, perfect in cut and colour ala Jasper in SU.

● After oneion is dicovered as a spy and was rejuvenated by 1D, Angelo took over his spot as a commander while Oneion was bubbled and kept away somewhere.

● During his off time not out conquering planets for the glory of the empire, he frequents the Battle Nexus, now turned to a punishment zone instead of just an entertainment sport. Saying hi to the geminis while they enact their punishment to the traitors

● He also visits and hangs out with Father’s personal weapon maker, a hidden gem called Ronin and his bodyguard Red. Sometimes One even joins them

Getting sent to Earth (listen this lore is developed a few hours ago lmao)

2D was given a chance to redeem himself by Draxum, so he was sent to Earth to check on the remaining corrupted Hamato gems. Lee was sent along to monitor him as a gesture of friendship from Big Mama. 2D and Lee do not get along at all. Their ship malfunctioned (or did it?) and they crashlanded on Earth. After roaming around for a bit, bitching all the while, they were found by Oneion, who was sent to rescue them. Oneion took them to the Avocado Temple, where they met One, Poptart, and Sprout…. Who looked… familiar. Wait. This is Lee’s commander’s shatterer. Lee pulled his weapon out and swung. A fight broke out.

One day Ronin and the now halfway corrupted 1D stumbled into the temple. Ronin snuck out by ship from homeworld and 1D was playing around with a corrupted gem shard so he got infected, they met in the wilderness somewhere

Even if Lee hates Sprouts guts they gotta stay together cause there’s corrupted gems outside and Lee doesnt wanna get shattered. Days passed, and Lee noticed Oneion keeps sneaking out of camp when no one noticed. He followed him and saw that surprise, surprise, Oneion’s reporting to Draxum. There’s a gem in his ship that has a direct line to the Diamonds. The next day Lee asked what did Oneion report and Oneion have no idea what Lee is talking about. Turned out the gold rim around one and oneions gems have a nefarious purpose. Lee called BM from the gem line, and with Draxum there with her during a Diamond meeting, told them everything.

Running away Ronin, theres still some uncorrupted remnants of Hamatos, Oneions betrayal and Sprout shattering his commander, so boom Draxum decided to come to Earth himself

There’s still a ton of other lore for each characters like I said, 10 pages or more now, of combined lore lmao. I might draw the sprout confrontation and the diamond call later, who knows

this is, if i recall correctly, one of the first scenes i wrote for the gemini heist (over a year ago now, whoops). i might have already shared it somewhere and it's honestly a little silly but it makes me cackle a bit every time i read it.

“Why not just turn me in, then?” Illiana asked, wary. “How do I even know I can trust you? You’re a criminal, aren’t you? Why wouldn’t you take the money and give me up once I’ve given you what you want?” Leo leaned back. “I’m an honest criminal, Heir,” she began. The shorter, chubbier of the two minions spoke for the first time, muttering under her breath, “I’m pretty sure ‘honest criminal’ is an oxymoron, actually.” The taller, muscular one reached over and gave the short one a little smack on the arm. “I don’t think the Captain appreciates you calling her a moron, Gabi,” she scolded. Leo’s overall expression didn’t change, but Illiana didn’t miss the exasperation briefly flashing through her eyes.

MARTIN - 28, 5'10, he/him, December 23rd(Capricorn)

BIGGEST heart on the team. Sees good in everybody

He's like if someone gave a golden retriever a human suit.

BANNED from the kitchen he CANNOT COOK at his ancient self

He pulls the 'big brother card' a LOT

He LOVES to sing, but nobody has the heart to tell him he sucks so they just...let him

He loves so easily

Martin makes the stupidest dad jokes

He labels his things with a blue sticker so he can keep his stuff organized... he still loses things

He taught himself Mandarin Chinese out of sheer boredom; he is now almost fluent

He needs people to like him or he will DIE

Do not give him coffee; he will be insane and hyperactive and then go awol for the rest of the day

CHRIS - 24, 5'8, he/him, July 19th(Gemini)

Burned-out gifted kid? Yes

His experiments normally consist of him using Martin as his guinea pig for payback for all the jokes he got pulled on as a kid

Loves cinnamon-flavoured anything

He also has a pretty high spice tolerance

Used to be friends with Zach in preschool, but it stopped not long after that

He climbs trees because he's a sensory seeker.

Chris is an avid tea drinker

He is also the best dancer on the team

Chris was such a geek in high school, he didn't 'glow up' until he was 17

Since the Tazzy incident, Chris occasionally has cravings for raw meat but chalks it up to low-iron

The only one on the team with a consistent sleep schedule

AVIVA -26, 5'5, she/her, April 5th(Aries)

Her dad raised her to be tough and strong, therefore making her a perfectionist and a maniac lol

Aviva loves Hot chocolate with Marshmallows, and watching nostalgic cartoons

She has a nasty habit of comparing herself to others and gets ridiculously insecure when anyone challenges her opinion. She masks it by being defensive and doubling down

Beautiful by default(duh) but she doesn't see it

She has a nasty older brother who was the stem of all her insecurities

She found a grey hair once and cried

She was cheer captain in high school, hence her athleticism

Aviva is messy as hell. Like, more messy than Martin.

She also dislikes mud

The worst dancer on the crew(I'm sorry), but she's the most talented singer

NEVER lets her hair down, it gets in the way too much.

KOKI - 27, 5'4, she/they, Feburary 13th(Aquarius)

Raised by a single dad(parents divorced)

Grew up basically rich, but was kept humble

Koki's uncle taught her mechanics before he passed away when she was in middle school

She had a pet canary named Booboo

She has pent-up anger issues

LOVES Zytago music as her family comes from New Orleans

She 100% has muscles and biceps. Martin is jealous

When it comes to cooking, she's Jimmy's sous-chef

Had a very normal childhood. Like, eerily normal.

Everyone in his family is a Ginge except for his mom

Jimmy can speak nearly fluent Korean because he took a gap year in South Korea after High School.

He studied software engineering but dropped out to attend culinary school instead

A OnePiece (LuLaw ZoSan NamVi end game) Au in which the Strawhats all start out on other crews

Zoro is a Buggy Lieutenant, Nami, Vivi, & Usopp have a crew of grifters & pick pockets, Sanji & Law grew up together & are both Donquixote Lieutenants.

Luffy was raised by Crocodile & shares Baroque Works 2nd in command w/ Robin. They're code named the Gemini Twins. No one knows if they're actually twins or even really siblings.

They don't know if they're siblings either, Crocodile gets extremely evasive anytime the subject of who Robin's biological father might have been. She only knows he was a higher up in the revolutionary army.

Luffy grew up believing in both his dads' visions for a 🌈 utopia until Alabasta falls. Finding out Crocodile doesn't want freedom for everyone, but to lead a world he thinks is perfect for him, that Dragon lied about Sabo being dead, that neither of them had really been doing much revolution for all these decades. It was the final straw for Luffy.

By the end of the Alabasta arc he's not mad at his dads exactly, just disappointed.

He was raised to believe in something they're not even really actually living.

Realizing his dad's dreams aren't his own, is a turning point for Luffy. He realizes it's time for him to strike out on his own. So leaves Baroque Works determined to figure out and pursue his own dream.

Robin goes with him bc she's intrigued by his determination before he even knows what he does believe in, what he wants his dream to be. Neither of them were raised to believe in their own dreams, only their parents'.

She thought it would be interesting to see what Luffy would do with his new found freedom & this unrelenting faith he had in himself and the people he chose.

And if it turned out that it was feasible to pursue their own dreams... well she had a few secret wishes of her own. She could be convinced to believe... maybe.

The first place Luffy goes in figuring out what his dream is, is to visit uncles. Mishuggy did a lot of raising him & they're the first ppl that come to mind when he thinks of dreams.

While they visit Shanks gets his dad's hat out of storage and gives it to Luffy. He tells Luffy that that's for dreamers. Luffy swears he'll cherish it, honor it by finding his own dream.

Luffy & Zoro immediately hit it off. Zoro isn't unhappy in Buggy's crew.

Buggy found him when he was lost. Buggy never judged him, taught him about the power of dreams & belonging. But Zoro's never had his own dreams either, only Kuina's, only Buggy's.

Meeting Luffy is life changing. Zoro doesn't really know what his own dream might be yet and he's still determined to become the greatest swordsman in the world, but he's curious about the possibility of his own dreams.

The potential seems important.

Zoro & Luffy make a pact to find their own dreams together. Luffy doesn't know he wants to be Pirate king yet but he believes in himself, he believes in them.

They find Usopp in some no name village on a no account island.

Luffy immediately adores him & his stories, calls him family when he finds out he's Yasopp's son.

He invites Usopp to travel with them for awhile. Usopp accepts.

3 Islands & some hijinks later, Nami confronts them. Luffy was supposed to be their crew's mark but Usopp couldn't go through with it by the time they got where they were going. He'd been dodging her for two Islands, unsure what to do.

Usopp has always been so full of dreams. He wants to believe, he wants to find his own most important dreams too.

Luffy isn't upset they were gonna steal from him. He thinks it's pretty funny actually. He hadn't had anything to steal since he left Baroque Works. He invites their whole crew to travel with them to find their own dreams 2gther

Besides Nami, Usopp, and Vivi, their crew consists of Bepo, Penguin, Shachi, Chopper, Carrot, & Franky.

They'd been targeting Robin & Luffy, for Vivi, because they thought they were still Baroque Works. The fact that they'd both left... specifically because of what Baroque Works, what Crocodile did to Alabasta, changed things... though Nami and Vivi weren't sure exactly how yet

Nami scofffs at the idea of traveling with two ex Baroque Works agents and some grumpy green haired freak from the clown crew. She didn't believe in anything... definitely not redemption... well she hadn't before she met Vivi anyway.

Usopp knows Nami though , they've been best friends since she accidentally helped him trick The Black Cat Pirate Captain into exposing himself to the whole of Syrup village and leaving in disgrace.

It turned out there was power in the right story told at the the right time.

So Usopp knows Nami, maybe better then he knows himself. Though contradicting her makes him cringe, he can't help himself.

"Nami!!! You're just scared he'll convince you too! It's not that easy to betrayLuffy !!"

Nami scofffs at that too but ultimately let's her pride convince her to agree

... and to make sure Luffy and Robin really are reformed (and broke)

Sanji is the Donquixote warlord style ambassador to Iva's Revolutionary Queens, so he's kinda dual enrolled.

He's a Donquixote Lieutenant but he spends half his time working with Iva & the Queens. His knowledge of statecraft, the celestial dragons, & world royal families, make Mr Princess almost indispensable to them.

Sanji is enthralled by Luffy's determination to find his own dream... & maybe maybe Zoro a little too. He knows there's always been someone else he's supposed to be besides a apy. When Luffy finds out Sanji cooks, loves to cook, misses cooking, he loses his mind with excitement, asks if Sanji would cook for him. Sanji's shy about it at first, he hasn't cooked for anyone but Law & Cora for years & those two... well getting them to eat anything was a chore. Much less anything new or experimental.

But Sanji's a master chef & Luffy loves to eat. He needn't have worried.

Iva encourages him to go find himself & his own dream. Iva promises to handle Doflamingo so he wouldn't have The Donquixote Brothers outraged over his leaving.

Sanji joins them on their travels. Luffy is delighted to have a chef on staff... and Zoro... well Zoro would never admit it out loud but he thinks he might have met his match in Sanji. Sparring with him is one of the most exciting things he's experienced since the first time he picked up a sword, since the first time he put Wado between his teeth.

All he ever wants to do is fight with Sanji, Sanji is more then happy to oblige him.

They argue constantly, neither of them have ever been happier.

The Strawhats meet Law later, they're getting notorious in their own right by nos. While they're not out for blood, Law was sent to collect his wayward blood brother and bring him back home.

Doffy doesn't like feeling left behind. It makes him extra twitchy.

Of course Luffy convinces Law to travel with them too, while he's finding his own dream.

Law swears he's doing it against his will... at first, just to convince Sanji to come back home so he doesn't have to listen to Doffy's theatrics for months.

As they travel looking for their own dreams, Luffy gets increasingly frustrated with how many of their new friends aren't free to pursue their dreams either. Frustrated that children aren't allowed to grow into the people they want to be, that so many people in the world are to busy trying to survive, to have the luxury of really living.

Law cynically tells Luffy that no one's free to pursue their own dreams. His whole pursuit is naive. He should give up

(secretly Law hopes he never does)

Law, frowning: The only person who's completely free in this world is the king of the pirates. So unless you're planning on becoming the king of the pirates, you're out of luck.

Luffy, smiling so wide, he looks like he could eat the world in one satisfied bite: That's it Torao. I'M GONNA BE THE KING OF THE PIRATES!

Law isn't used to believing in things, but being around Luffy these last months has been changing him. Amazingly enough he believes Luffy... he believes in him.

Under his fluffy hat Trafalgar Law smiles a small secret smile. The pirate king, what a ridiculous dream. If it was anyone else he would laugh... But Luffy might actually be able to pull it off.

Law: pirate king huh? Well show me what you're made of Strawhat ya, make me a believer.

And oh yes, Luffy would. He made everyone a believer eventually. He could convince Trafalgar Law to believe in him.

That was just who Luffy was...
