Some kid in my class said they choose not to inform themselves on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict/genocide because of their “mental health”

Seriously?!?! The privilege of that statement is insane, people are dying and you’re concerned about your mental health? We are privileged to be in the US, and fortunate enough to have food, water, shelter, etc. I get not wanting to see disturbing images/videos from the attacks, but that doesn’t mean you should stay neutral or just not care about Gaza

Their home was demolished by a bombing from the Israeli occupation. While shelter is crucial, they also urgently need food and water. All of their necessities were taken away.

so for anyone who doesn't know, the last few days of the global strike (jan 26-28) are where people are supposed to amp up posting about palestine on their social media. if you can afford it, please use the remainder of the strike days to mostly engage w content spreading awareness about palestinian genocide. some people might find this a tall order, but it really isn't. it's just three more days, and the content you typically consume isn't going anywhere. and if you're keen on not giving a fuck about palestinian genocide, do everyone a favor and don't engage by leaving "how can i filter political things like this?" comments on posts about palestine. the people who're concerned w advocating for palestine have other things to worry about than disturbing your internet bubble. save yourself the trouble of typing that up. i assure you nobody cares.

Gaza has a large disabled population. Wissam is just one of tens of thousands, who need medication and care, facing the devastating choice of being slaughtered at home or out on the streets. All districts in Gaza but one have been declared combat zones.
