1984 Gal Gadot Wonder Woman is a rapist.

In this particular instance, that is how she was written. Poorly and in a way that generally does not reflect the character but is very much like her father.

Evidently, so is the written X-Men Angel in a particular instance.

If there is someone legitimately involved who can't consent during sex, whether through unconsciousness or body snatching—something that blatantly violates individual consent to begin with—that is rape.

We don't get to side step the issue in certain circumstances because two people who are completely disregarding the life of an entire other human being are being so disgustingly selfish that how this person feels was never even considered.

The thing people keep forgetting is that the body snatching makes Steve Trevor, who participated, also a rapist. As well as Psylocke. Neither considered the body and life of the person they were snatching because that person was nobody to them. But an analogy makes this more easily seen when you consider a scenario where this nobody is someone who has a life, a spouse or family, and yet is still stolen from it and their body forced to have sex with someone they don't even know.

Let's use another. What if this person does know them? Consider it to be a spouse of the Wonder Woman or Angel in the scenario, who is body snatched by their former lover.

Do you think that person wouldn't have every right to be furious upon discovering that the person who is supposed to love them used their body to have cheat on them with someone they formerly loved? By all accounts, this would be considered spousal rape and cheating.

It makes no difference whether a spouse is involved or not though, it's still rape because their body is being used and they can't consent. On the other hand, I highly doubt Wonder Woman or Angel would simply allow their bodies to be used by someone else to have sex with other people. Reasoning should be apparent. If someone were to body snatch them and do stuff like that we know it would be portrayed as traumatic for the victim and villainous for the perpetrator. It does not change simply because we see a character generally portrayed as a hero doing so and no amount of seeing it is going to make it okay.

Just to add to the record. If there's an unconscious person and you have sex with someone else on top of their body or use their body to have sex with someone else or perform sexual acts. That is still rape. It really should not be difficult to understand this in this day and age.

If they can't even say yes to wanting the tea, do not make them drink the tea.

Snow White's trailers

If you are (still) a Disney fan, you have probably saw the trailers of the upcoming (but not awaited) movie SNOW-WHITE

(But not SNOW-WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, because the actress won't be saved by a prince, but neither by her friends, as if needing help was supposed to be bad...)

So there is the first trailer, where I was so afraid because it was like the real movie but made uglier :

The second trailer, where we discover Jonathan, her male love interest, but also the song "Waiting for a wish", that seems to be a really good song :

And the new trailer, where we discovers her childhood. At least it makes a difference from the original movie where we didn't knew anything about her parents.

It doesn't looks as bad as I feared it would be.

Even though the CGI are awful 😱

Rachel Zegler as Snow-White... Well, I don't hate her, but I don't like her. I won't talk about all the problematic things she said or made. 🙄

 I'm not judging on her beauty, but, god, the costumes are so bad. She is supposed to dress like a servant, but it's so ugly 😱

 But, honestly. She is supposed to be the most beautiful woman? In the inside, maybe? I mean, I am not judging her body, but her haircuts in the movie is so bad 🤢

I'm not mad at her for being a Latina actress even though Snow-White is supped to have the whitest skin. They can changes her origins, okay. That's already been done with this movie with Miranda Richardson as the Queen. You can watch the entire movie :

But what's the point of changing her personality too? We already got Kristen Stewart and Ginnifer Goodwin as "strong female characters" versions of Snow White.

I've seen countless of videos mocking how "weird, weird" Rachel Zegler is. It's not that I hate her, it's just that the way she talks about Snow-White is disrespectful and not sincere.

Gal Gadot playing Evil Queen

So far the only reason I wanted to watch the movie was Gal Gadot as Evil Queen / Queen Grimhilde 😍, and based on the trailer she looks exactly like the character in the movie. However, her costumes on promotional pictures are... well, it looks god on her, but il not sure it looks regal enough. It looks more like Madame de Tremaine, Cinderella's stepmother, than Evil Queen.

But her costumes in the trailer are awesome (maybe too dark though, but it suits the character), and at least she changes a lot.

The Huntsman played by a Black actor

Gal Gadot would be my only reason to watch the movie, but now I've discovered that the English actor Ansu Kabia will play the Huntsman 😍 Since he is a Black man, we can be sure he'll play a more important role in the movie and won't be killed by the Queen.

If the movie was as woke as people says, maybe it would end with the Black huntsman capturing the whiteboy or white prince and taking him as his sissy boy lover 🤣.

That's why Devin Dickie invented a story (Snowden White & the Evil Queen) where the Prince is transformed into a Princess to serve Black men and white women as their slave.

Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, not Prince

The only thing I wanted to discover from the trailer is Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, a new character who isn't Prince Florian.

It's seems that him and Snow-White will meet in the Queen's castle, because he is a thief. I don't dislike his haircut...

At least they will have time to talk, I hope.

What's sure is that Jonathan is supposed to be a "Robin Hood".

He is so beautiful, and i want their love story to be interesting, convincing and moving

Rachel Zegler said that Snow White "won't be saved by Prince Charming". Yes, since he isn't Prince Florian here, but a new character.

We'll have the "I don't need your help" moment, even though he protected her.

Thanks to the trailers, we already knows they'll meet at least twice before the end of the movie, including one when Snow-White is living with the dwarfs.

I think I'll always prefer MIRROR MIRROR and the SNOW-WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN saga. First because there was my two childhood gods Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott (MIRROR MIRROR) and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman (SNOW-WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN) 😍

Hollywood sure knows how to cast actors for the role of an Egyptian, but some producers just feel like following the Afrocentric agenda (yikes!)

While a lot of Hollywood productions that feature Egypt(ians) are nothing but.. embarrassing, whether it was before or after the trend of Afrocentrism, as they were "played by non-Egyptians in bronze face" (Nour), like The Mummy (1999), Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014), and others.

Nour writes, "Actual Egyptians, and Arabs more broadly, usually performed the roles of a bumbling sideshow act in these movies: stealing treasures from ancient tombs or summoning evil spirits with the help of the occult; typifying the very worst stereotypes of Orientalist fantasy."

There is a not-very-fine line between cultural appropriation and appreciation, and this line needs to be drawn as bold as possible here.

There is definitely no shortage of Egyptians who can speak flawless English and have the talent to be starring Hollywood movies, a few of them would be: Oscar-winning Rami Malek, Omar Sharif, Mena Massoud, Rosaline Elbay, and May Calamawy (some of whom were actually casted in Egyptian roles). Yet, for some reason, Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, was chosen to play Cleopatra --- and it is her in one production, or Adele James (black actress) in another. I mean, hello? Egyptians and Greeks are still here and would like to have a say in the representation of one of their most iconic historical figures?

I agree with Nour's argument when he writes that "the historical persona of Cleopatra is not some imaginary idea which can be re-created according to people’s whims and wishes. She is a Queen of Egyptian history and it is the right of the Egyptian people to have a say in her portrayal. As the son of Egyptians, who is proud of his eclectic heritage, his people and his culture, I say, boldly and defiantly: I am Cleopatra."
