The thing about au!sunshipduo being the only happy variant is how incredibly hopeless they seem. Them loving each other and living through it should be literally impossible.

Aimsey is a demon from literal hell. They are mean, they are stubborn, and come from a very different background from Guqqie, who is kind and considerate. That's all they have been told about each other throughout the server. Countless people coming to Guqqie and telling them that Aimsey is bad news. Scott coming to Aimsey and trying to tear them away.

Aimsey has not had an easy life. They've never been shown love. They, again, come from literal hell. He had only read of love only a short time ago. How do they even know what love is? Well, xey don't, not really. It isn't easy for him to love, and it isn't easy to love him. But he's trying so hard when it would be easier, and safer, to just give up. But he isn't.

Guqqie has seen hundreds of other versions of themself get abandoned, forgotten, and even killed. She's had first hand encounters with the results of a relationship between her and aimsey. She KNOWS the risks. She isn't going in blind at all. And despite what they've seen, despite the threats and the incidents, she keeps loving this demon, even if they're cursed and doomed by each and every universe.

Aimsey and Guqqie know the odds are against them. They know that they've been given an awful hand. They know that their chances are barely better than zero. And they keep fighting! They've decided that they love each other enough that nothing else matters. They aren't hoping for a perfect relationship. They know this can't end well for them. I am gripped by the idea of Kas!Steve.

But specifically...broken Steve, who’s been tortured and tormented and mind-controlled by Vecna, until he’s been sharpened into a weapon, his old King Steve persona pulled on like reshaped armor but now so much worse than Steve himself had ever been.

Kas!Steve who’s cocky and smug, who spews every cruel thought the gang has ever worried he’s had about them, clawing at each one of their insecurities with piercing accuracy. Because he knows them, from years of being friend and confidante. Their beating hearts, their strengths and weaknesses. So he taunts Robin by spilling every precious secret they’ve shared. Mocks Dustin and all the kids for being pathetic and snot-nosed, following in his footsteps like lost puppies. Needles Eddie about how obvious his crush on him is. Tells Nancy it really is their fault, what happened to Barbara all those years ago.

And it’s all so pointed, feels so specific, so...real, the group can’t help the worry that gnaws at each of them (just like Vecna would want), that this is what Steve really thinks.

Even more so when some of his barbs draw attention to the ways they’ve treated him. When Steve laughs at the thought of them overpowering him when for years they’ve been relying on him to be the tank, to take all the hard licks. Do they really think they can take him down? Like this? It’s as comical as it is pathetic, this new, dark Steve, the betrayer, the bloody, tells them, and Dustin sees the way that Nancy flinches, catches Robin’s pained eyes, guilt gripping each of their throats.

The question lingers, even hours after Steve has slunk back into the shadows, another battle they barely scraped out of alive behind them.

How will they do this without Steve?

Every time I look at this CG and read the adjoining part of the story it feels like being hit by a bus. It gave us many things, none of which I am sane about.

1. Wataru only eats proper meals when he's by himself or with Eichi. This is so?? Sad and sweet?? He thinks eating makes him an imperfect actor so he doesnt do it in front of other people, EXCEPT Eichi, because he trusts him deeply and is trying to show him more of his true self since giving up his mask to him

2. THEY TAKE PICTURES TOGETHER ON THEIR DATES. Wataru's phone is probably FULL of pictures like this of him and Eichi, looking SO happy that they're just in each other's company that he doesn't really show anyone else.... god.

3. LOOK AT HIS PROUD FACE. IN BOTH THE PICTURE AND AT THE TIME. LOOK AT HOW HAPPY HE IS ABOUT THAT PICTURE. AND HOW PROUD HE IS OF GOING ON A DATE WITH EICHI. He loves him so much its actually ridiculous. I absolutely adore how Wataru completely subverted his initial intention of getting to know Eichi just to be his replacement for Tsumugi, and to be the bluebird that stayed by his side, but he unintentionally fell in love with him and abandoned the script 😭😭😭😭😭😭

You know - I keep hearing people say that Wille didn't need to run after the car and could've just called Simon but I don't think that's true.

I honestly like the fact that Cole and Vania don't end up as a couple at the end of season 13 cus throughout the show majority of the show when a ninja is paired up with someone of the opposite gender and they become friends they always end up as a couple. Like it's so overused and I like how Cole and Vania stay friends cus yeah a guy and a girl can just be friends.
