I stood behind the camera, clipboard in hand, watching the chaos unfold on set. Lights were being adjusted, Calum was running late (as usual), and Luke was trying his best not to trip over the wires as he rehearsed his part. A smile tugged at my lips, the scene all too familiar.

“Hey, can we get a little more light over here?” I called out, waving toward the far side of the set. “This angle’s too dark.”

The crew adjusted the lighting, and I nodded, satisfied. Keeping things together behind the scenes wasn’t always easy, but after so many years, it had become second nature. I’d been with these guys since the beginning—since the days when they were just a group of teenagers uploading covers to YouTube.

The familiar sound of Michael’s guitar strumming filled the air as the camera started rolling again. I watched him, remembering the first video I’d ever helped them with. Out of My Limit. Back then, they were just figuring things out. I guess we all were.

“Y/N, you’re a lifesaver.” Luke’s voice pulled me from my thoughts as he came over, brushing his hair out of his eyes. “Seriously, we’d be lost without you.”

I grinned. “You’d manage. Eventually.”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “I don’t know about that. Thanks for always making sure we don’t completely fall apart.”

“Someone has to,” I teased, nudging him with my elbow. “You’re lucky I haven’t quit yet.”

Luke’s face softened, and for a second, it felt like everything around us blurred out. “We’re really lucky to have you. Don’t think we don’t know it.”

I rolled my eyes to hide the warm feeling that bloomed in my chest. “Alright, enough with the sappy stuff. Go check on Ashton before he forgets his part again.”

Luke laughed and wandered off. As he left, I spotted Calum sitting off to the side, tuning his bass. He gave me a small wave, and I made my way over, plopping down next to him.

“How’s it going, Cal?” I asked.

“Good,” he replied with a grin. “You know, the usual last-minute panic.”

“Of course. Wouldn’t be a 5SOS video without it.”

He laughed, then turned a little more serious. “You know… I don’t think we ever say it enough, but you keep us grounded, Y/N. Especially when things get a little crazy.”

I blinked, surprised by his words. “You guys do fine on your own.”

“Nah,” Calum said, shaking his head. “We really don’t. You’re always here, making sure we don’t go too far off the rails.”

I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat and smiled. “That’s what friends are for, right?”

“Right,” he said softly, before smirking and nudging me with his elbow. “Plus, who else is gonna keep Ashton in check?”

Speak of the devil, Ashton appeared, his hair a bit wild, clearly having rushed to make it to set. “Sorry, sorry,” he panted. “Traffic was insane.”

“You’re always late,” I teased, raising an eyebrow. “I swear, one day we’re going to lock you out.”

“Hey, if you do that, then who’s gonna bring all the creative flair to these videos?” Ashton shot back with a grin.

I crossed my arms. “Creative flair, huh? Remind me again who came up with the ridiculous prop idea for ‘Amnesia?’”

Ashton blinked. “Okay, maybe not my best moment, but I stand by it.”

I laughed, shaking my head. “Sure, sure. But we all know who really has the final say around here.”

“That’s true,” Ashton admitted, holding his hands up in surrender. “You’ve got the vision, Y/N.”

Before I could respond, I felt someone behind me. Turning, I saw Michael, guitar in hand, looking at me with a mischievous grin.

“You remember the first shoot?” he asked, his tone full of nostalgia.

“How could I forget? You were the one who almost knocked the camera over—like, every five minutes.”

“Hey, I was nervous!” he defended, laughing.

I punched his arm lightly. “I kept telling you not to stress so much. Look at you now, rockstar.”

Michael shrugged, his expression softening. “You’ve been here since day one, Y/N. We wouldn’t have made it this far without you.”

Hearing that from Michael, of all people, made my heart swell. These boys—they’d been my boys for so long. I wasn’t just their friend; I was part of the family. And as much as they had grown and changed over the years, some things stayed the same. I was the glue behind the scenes, keeping everything running smoothly. And they never let me forget how much they appreciated that.

By the time the video shoot wrapped up, we were all sprawled out at a small table, eating takeout and reminiscing.

“We should do something special for you,” Luke said through a mouthful of fries. “Like, I don’t know… throw you a parade or something.”

I laughed, shaking my head. “Just keep making good music, and we’re even.”

“Deal,” Ashton said, raising his drink in a mock toast.

The rest of the guys followed suit, their eyes full of warmth and gratitude as they raised their drinks.

I grinned, holding up my own. “To the next video.”

“To the next video,” they echoed.

As I sat there, surrounded by laughter and the comfort of old friends, I couldn’t help but feel grateful. I’d been with them since the start, and I wasn’t going anywhere. Not now. Not ever.

This is the story of how I found out I was a system.

The first time there was someone "other" in my head was in mid 2022. I had no idea that DID or OSDD existed back then. I remember thinking,

"Oh my god, my parents were right, I am possessed!"

That first headmate (who had just come out of dormancy) was like gasoline on a fire. I was already in a bad place mentally, and I guess I just sort of broke. I don't remember what triggered me, but all of a sudden it was like I switched personalities and went from a very people-pleaser and kind person to typing about how I wanted the whole world to burn.

This happened on Discord. I'd been texting my friends at the time, and they all got a front row seat to what probably looked like an extreme mental breakdown. Within the span of half an hour I went from agitated and basically saying "I have no idea what's happening, I feel different" to Exe fully fronting and demanding recognition as her own person.

She also didn't know what was going on or who she was, and called herself a "virus" because that's what it felt like. It was as if I had been infected. I was somewhat co-conscious but unable to do anything, and I was panicked, watching my identity fall apart and seeing her intentionally try to sabotage my friend group by saying (probably cruel) things.

My friends took it really well, and I'm still grateful for that. They were just as confused as I was, though. Exe was consistently co-con or fronting with me for at least a full week after that. I was blindly feeling my way around, and I called her a "persona" and honestly, we did not get along well.

Sometime after this, a second headmate came to light. Her name was Julia, and her coming out of dormancy was much more peaceful. She was gentle but firm, taking over things for me when I couldn't muster up the energy.

Then there was a good chunk of time after that- six months or more- where I was clueless and confused. I did eventually begin looking things up, and while what I was experiencing kind of matched up with DID, I wasn't having any amnesia, which seemed like the deal breaker to me. A couple months went by where I was scared, thinking that I had somehow made everything up.

Exe was fronting forcibly often and her personality and preferences began to affect mine to the point where I couldn't distinguish my feelings and emotions from hers. This was when- and why, I would later realize- I decided to break up with my boyfriend. (That's another story for another time.)

One day on Discord I wound up talking to someone with DID and tentatively asked if there was a way I had "half DID" and they suggested looking up OSDD. I did, and I almost cried with relief. Everything was checking out. I was able to find answers to my questions.

I fell down a rabbit hole of reading articles and listening to psychologists break down what DID and OSDD were, and watching Youtube videos about people with the disorder. Things started to make sense. I could look back at my childhood and find the moment where Exe was first formed, where she fronted for well over a year and completely locked me out, followed by Julia doing the same thing to both of us the year after that as we struggled to cope.

I did experience amnesia back then, so when they went dormant and I got frontstuck, I didn't feel like anything was off and went about living my life until Exe practically exploded out of dormancy and back into the front space.

Simply existing is still a massive struggle, but we've come SO far since then. Writing this down has made me see that.

Hmm... I think this is kind of two different questions for me. Because, look, Alan is always my trash author son. I love him. He's also THE WORST... okay not the WORST worst. Dio is out there. But like... at least 50% of his problems can be traced back to himself and also "Hey you now have to write your way out of a horror story to survive and it effects real people" is... a lot to put on him. Plus some final draft stuff makes this worse. So like... I love my trash author son but also that man is STRESSED. And that's not including the 13 years of INCREDIBLY POINTED PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE. Dude couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, couldn't die. He had no relief, no one to talk to, and any time he reached out who knows what else is out there or if he could trust it. Chris though.

Is Chris my Sonsband? I don't know. I like him a lot, I get excited to see him in stuff. But he's also fundamentally a different niche. I did all of As Long As You Should Have Lived and THAT Chris is this incredibly traumatized guy who has had the entire world placed on his shoulders and has to fight it... with a gun. Like just a good pistol. and his fists. And that is fun and noble and tragic too. He hasn't had a childhood, was he in the army because of the benefits to take care of Claire? (Sibling bond is a point for Chris though) You get to RE1 and he finds out his boss betrayed him, he goes off spying, more stuff happens, his best friend dies for him but is actually kidnapped and brainwashed, he ends up getting amnesia over an op going REALLY REALLY BADLY and losing someone who tried to pull him out of it, fights Jigsaw, then ends up sort of betraying yet another person before he can explain than watching him die. He's had it ROUGH but he also has his sister and the ability to know at least some times something isn't trying to kill him. Honestly I want to give them both hugs.

That being said, I feel like Chris would be more willing to give ME a hug and would give the better one. (Have you seen his arms in 5?) So I guess Chris? But I love them both. A lot. Also I rewatch more Alan Wake stuff on youtube than RE/Chris stuff.

Finally answering this! Also, you know who you are, I know who you are. Tryin' to make me drop all my damn secret frijoles online...

Anyways, I may as well make a master post of how much of a bitchlet I am for a benign OC I thought wouldn't be that appealing to write. Cause now all I do is copy & paste her into every fanfic idea I'd like to write. More than that, I've got LORE for WHY she is able to appear in all these fanfic universes and why she always has amnesia and just "appears". I even formatted fics without Prairie to have relevance to her lore and the effects she causes even without her present. For one, IDE has ripples of her lore related to the protagonist of that fic even though Prairie doesn't directly appear or come near the story.

I have So. Much. Stuff. I've spent hours, weeks, months, YEARS of my life on this. I'm not even tired yet.

Prairie is not called Prairie in EVERY fanfic she's in, but most of the time, that name is the only thing she can remember. She doesn't have a surname, bc she's got no family, so it's whatever she can acquire after she wakes up. She's got knowledge of our own irl basic functions of the world. Ie: we have cities, smartphones, cars, no time travel, no robots of extravagant quality, etc.

As for the list of things I've put her in, some with concept art I made! Here it goes, under the break line:

Danganronpa: String Theory - Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (Of course, this is why we're on this blog lol. The start of my unhealthy hyperfixation.)

Nameless in Theory - Honkai: Star Rail (A few paragraphs only. Found inside of inky bubble in space by the Knight of Beauty Argenti, Prairie falls in love at first sight and is friend zoned at first sight by his oblivious nature. Months later Argenti leaves Prairie in the care of the Intelligentsia Guild for the forseeable future. Earning the attention of one Doctor Veritas Ratio who is both impressed by her mathematical savant and disgusted by said savant's temper & brutality from her abandonment, he takes Prairie under his wing. Prairie making a vow to chase Argenti across the stars for vengeance, with Dr Ratio strung along reluctantly by the intellectual he's sure he can change for the better. Little do the three know that her arrival spells trouble regarding the Aeons past who should remain buried.)

Star Light - Genshin Impact (Very little progression on that fic so far. Only a few chapters, which I'm not sure about touching for a while. Here I have a scrapped vision art for Prairie.)

Dark Heart - Deltarune (After Undyne finds a small girl with a broken leg in the outskirts of town, she takes charge to help her recover. Reagan [Prairie] is introduced in her youth to young monsters her age to get her accustomed to her surroundings, of which she only cares for one: Noelle. To help her growth and socialization however, as she is not a monster, Toriel introduces her to the only non-monster in town. She detests them above all: Kris Dreemurr. Kris does not feel the same way as Reagan, finding amusement in Reagan’s distaste of them. Hijinks ensue.)

I Woke Up as Amy Rose! - Sonic The Hedgehog (general) (Yeah, there's a Sonic fanfic. Unposted- two & a half chapters. Wasn't a Prairie fic initially, as it's very old. Edited a type up placing Prairie in the shoes of a protag who wakes up in the body of Amy Rose and has to pretend she has not body swapped from a critical Tails. With the help of Cream the Rabbit and Shadow, Prairie has to keep up a convincing act lest she grab the attention of someone else who appears to be searching for her consciousness.)

Unnamed Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure Fic - It's... you'll never guess! Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure! (I've yet to watch the show, I know the lore bc of Youtube. I came up with an idea. Still interested in it. Someday Villain!Prairie. Prairie is found and adopted by the King and Queen of Corona during the period Rapunzel is in the towel with Mother Gothel. At the age of 14, 9 years of living as the princess of Corona, Prairie meets Rapunzel fresh out of the tower and home at last. When the kingdom takes on an unearthly attack, opening a hole beneath the throne room, the king and queen both reach for Rapunzel and Prairie falls, cursed by a forbidden mirror she lands on, meant to never seen the light of day and never to be broken. With a clock running on her time seen by others, Prairie has to cope with the bitter realization she will disappear in plain sight as a result of her replacement, fading from people's awareness and watching as she is forgotten. But her time seen is enough time to turn her hatred towards Rapunzel and her friends when she sees an opportunity in the hatred of someone else wronged by Rapunzel.)

Baphoment - Hazbin Hotel (Half a single page. Not sure if I'll continue it. There's a light concept for mystery, but no true plot has been planned beyond some concept art I never even finished refining.)

Maid of Honor - LoZ: Breath of the Wild/ Age of Calamity/ Tears of the Kingdom (My 4th favorite concept for Prairie- she becomes Princess Zelda's handmaiden and becomes aware she's trapped in a loop with Zelda caused by King Rhoam, who have been at war loop after loop with each other to acquire Prairie's ability to be used as a conduit in place of Zelda's inability to access her Goddess powers.)

Mauve - Pokemon Scarlet/Violet (game) (My 3rd favorite concept! Serrano/Serra [Prairie] awakens in the Kitakami of Pokemon Scarlet after being dumped from a jump from another dimension/time(?). There is no Juliana or Florian. Serra is adopted by the Naranja Academy biology prof, Jacq, and taken to Paldea to study Pokemon, discovering things about herself…or rather “himself”! AFAB Transmasc Prairie. Outline for the entire thing is COMPLETE, it just needs to be refined into smaller outlines and get written.)

False Ichor - Pokemon Platinum (game) (My 2nd favorite concept, where Prairie awakens in Sandgem town very weak and constantly faints by the regular due to a strange chronic tachyarrhythmia with her heart. Cyrus seems to know her despite Prairie not knowing him. Throughout their journey to help Prairie experience as much as possible in the event of the worst case scenario, Cyrus is up to a set of familiar plans. Clefairy [nickname: Ringo] is Prairie's starter. The master ball on her belt houses her Snorunt [nickname: Flossie] who was unintentionally caught by playing with said master ball in Prof. Rowan's lab. Prairie let the Snorunt in on the first night of snowfall in Sandgem Town, thinking it was terribly cold because it was "shivering".)

Anyways, that's all of the "Prairie Multiverse". They're not all linked in a way that matters consecutively, the branching of stories being related to one another is just meant to be a fun easter egg I've made for my own personal amusement. If I've missed one, I'll share it later lol.

This Week in BL - Things are Very Mixed

May 2023 Wk 1

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Step By Step (Thai Tues WeTV & Gaga) ep 3 of 10 (MDL still says 12, but Gaga still says 10) - The subs are janky on YT, so you might want to watch this on Gaga. This is such a good show, it just feels so much more authentic to an office environment and first job then anything else I’ve seen in BL. Now that might be because it has western source material, or it might be because it is actually kind of old-fashioned (it’s been years since I worked as an office grunt). While the authenticity may be a little triggering for some, I love how much tension it adds to the leads’ dynamic and the quality of the narrative. I also really love the brothers’ relationship, now that we got to see them on screen together for a bit. Walk of shame was great! Oh look, character development, how novel. This is what Boss & Babe should have been. Not sold on the sides tho it’s nice to see a faen fatal as the main character in a dynamic for a change. 

La Pluie (Sat iQIYI) ep 2 of 10 - This one is really grabbing me by the throat. I love the starter concepts, what a fantastic twist on a meet cute not to mention soulmates. I hope we spend more time with the vet and his coworkers, they seem awesome. And another surprise, the guy we think is being set up to be the brother’s love interest is now clearly interested in the wrong brother. I love the trope subversions going on with this show! 

Our Skyy 2 (The Eclipse) eps 5-6 - FirstKhao are just ridiculously cute as a couple. Honestly? Aye just seems like he would be a lot of work as a lover. I’m not as wild about the premise of this installment, with the film clips and stuff (as I was of NlMG’s installment). And then, the singing. Oh well, you can’t have everything. I gotta say, First is a great crier, although I don’t think this story warranted his tears. In the end? My feelings on this installment were mixed, the movie storyline didn’t grab me and the birthday storyline seems a touch mean spirited, but I do think it adds substantially to the original Eclipse rather than feeling superfluous or slapdash like many of the other Our Skyys. So I’m going to go with 8/10 

Future (Thai Sun YouTube & Gaga) ep 6fin - More of the same (which I like) but I’m glad it ended. Didn’t need to get dragged out. Such drama over nothing. In the end? This is just a soft sweet cotton candy fluff piece about a younger boy who pursues an older boy and then manufactures silly gay drama. Nothing wrong with that. But I don’t think this style of BL really appeals to a very large market share. Will I rewatch it? Sure. Will anyone else? Nope. 7/10 RECOMMENDED WITH RESERVATIONS.    

Pastsenger (Thai Weds Gaga) ep 9 of 12 eps - And now the amnesia trope. I’m not a fan. This is such a pulp. At least it ends next week? Groan, no 3 more eps.  

A Boss and a Babe (Fri YouTube) ep 10 of 12 - one thing I realize I like about this main couple’s dynamic is that the seme/uke seems earned, where it didn’t in Echante. I don’t have much else to say except it’s crazy when a narrative betrays its characters like this and why to poor ForceBook keep having to deal with it? 

The Promise (Thai Weds YT & WeTV) ep 7 of 10 - Honestly, who wears an all white outfit to play around with coffee beans in the countryside? I LOVE the faen fatal, he’s so good, courageous, honest, and morally sound. He even gives his rival fair warning. Nan should totally go out with him. I made awwww noises over the faen fatal! I NEVER do that. I guess Phu was right all along? Nan won’t date a friend. Ultimate friend zone. Well shit. This show. Ouch. 

House of Stars (Thai Mon iQIYI) ep 1 of ?? - There seems a slight horror element which I do not like and it’s also confusingly like Melrose Place or something. Everyone is sleeping with, or wants to be sleeping with everyone else. It’s kinda hilarious to watch something where all the actors are supposed to be good actors but it’s a pulp so they just really aren’t. So far my main issue is I can’t keep them all straight in my head (pun intended). 

Tin Tam Jai (Tues Gaga) ep 10fin - There is very little I enjoyed about this show. The entirely forgotten side dishes gave us 5 min of excellent high heat and then vanished, but otherwise this show sucked in the wrong way. It’s forgettable and I intend to do just that. 5/10  

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Our Dining Table AKA Bokura no Shokutaku (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 5 of 10 - The way these two are very quietly yet thoroughly falling in love with each other is executed with such grace and subtlety that only Japan could have handed this out. It’s not even “falling” it’s more like sliding gradually into love. 

Love Mate (Korea Thurs Viki) eps 1-2 of 8 - Launched very much openly gay so that’s fun. Also very much bubble too, so no one around them cares. So: Seo is a player jaded older uke (fun character type we don’t see often) and his seme is a romantic if arrogant weirdo. Can you see my hands clapping? Combative trope activation! Absurdity. How fun. Also workplace harassment but hayho that’s BL for ya. (Also a nonBL Kdrama specialty.) ALSO whole office in on seme-stalker’s side? All in all, it’s odd and questionable, but I’m into it. Why am I like this? 

Happy Merry Ending (Korea Thurs Gaga) eps 3-4 of 8 - OK I’m not super into the main couple but I love all of the surrounding characters. The overly protective best friend with a crush is giving bad advice but it’s understandable and he’s super hot so I forgive him. And the idol character is a wonderful addition, he is my baby. Also, evil ex is v evil. 

Vian the series (Vietnam YT ) - I thought this was gonna be Tiktok only but apparently it’s showing up on YT too. It’s cute! My cat boyfriend (which is more common that it should be) and this seems to be Vietnam’s installment (we got Thailand’s last year). The boy playing the cat is the prettiest human being on the planet. Fight me. No fight him, get scratched. Serious tho. Holy hairballs. Look I don’t really like vertical content but I am watching this for him. Meow, indeed. 

The Day I Loved You (Vietnam YouTube) eps 2-3 of ? - BL Express’s first impressions mirror mine. Niks is so flipping cute. Rich kid is so into him, so is bestie. So much gay macho posturing. So much bi fear and het shame. But also it’s killer to get a femme main characters who isn’t being mocked. Dancing trope continues (better than singing together). It is kinda Heartstopper goes Pinoy BL. Honestly, I prefer kids a little drawings to terrible sound effects. This is better than it or we have any right to expect. 

Naked Dinner AKA Zenra Meshi (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 4 of 12 - There is a lot I like about this drama, except the weird central conceit of the naked dining. But the romance part is cute, if a tad simplistic. 

My Story (Pinoy Sat YouTube) ep 4 of 10 - chukchuk went missing and so did my interest in this show. I’m DNFing this one. 

Dancing together, the baby sub-trope of 2023. (The Day I Love You) 

It’s Airing But ...

Love Syndrome (Thai Sat WeTV) stopped at ep 2 of 12 - I’m just not into any aspect of it (except Lee Long Shi) - saving to binge if the end is solid.

Venus in the Sky (Sat YouTube) pilot/tester?) 0 of 10 - not entirely sure what’s up with this one distribution-wise, but the pilot was classic university-set pulp. I hope it happens because the leads are cute with good chemsitry and I thought it was fun. However, this pilot holds together as its own little short too.

Stormy Honeymoon (Vietnam) - meh

In Case You Missed It

Actors Bas Suradej (2 Moons etc...) and Copter Panuwat (so much BL) have left Starhunter. So Copter and Kimmon will part ways as an on-screen pair (RIP KimCop). Their upcoming show Boy Never Smiles will still air, but will likely be their last together. (source) 

Restart After Come Back Home (highly recommended), Athlete, Capture Lover, Tkumi-kun, His the movie (recommended) and also a bunch of the dark stuff like Forbidden Love and Shortest Distance are all leaving Gagaoolala soon. So watch ‘em while you can. A few are also on Viki, but many will be difficult to get hold of without Gaga. 

I finally finished the second season of The Reason Why He Fell in Love with Me (Japan Gaga) and gave it a 4/10. I just don’t like or recommend any of the installments of this franchise, but if I had to pick, it’s season one. 

Make a Wish finished at 6 eps. Stars Fluke Natouch (OhmFluke UWMA etc...) & Judo (The Miracle Of Teddy Bear) in medical-fantasy about a doctor who sees ghosts and a deity who resides in a Bodhi tree that earns merits whenever he fulfills a wish. Based on a y-novel by Sammon (Manner of Death, Triage). I will watch it if I get hold of it, but for now... who knows how it went?

I awoke this morning to the soft hum of nature’s uninterrupted symphony—wait, strike that. Symphony is off-limits. I awoke to the frogs croaking and the loons wailing their heartfelt truths into the mist, which is just the kind of melodrama you need before breakfast. My cabin, perched on the edge of Walden Pond, was serene, of course—except for the rustle of squirrels aggressively arguing over acorns. I like to think of them as philosophers with tails.

But as I brewed my coffee (yes, I admit to succumbing to modernity via a French press), a most horrifying realization struck me: the world no longer listens to nature. You have TikTok, doomscrolling, and endless debates over oat milk. Yet, you spend zero time wondering why moss smells like poetry or why a hawk’s cry feels like a rebuke for checking email under a tree.

Yesterday, a particularly animated mallard waddled up to my cabin, quacking with the urgency of a stockbroker who misplaced his wallet. I don’t speak Mallard, but the gist was clear: “Humanity is losing its mind. Fix it.” I stared at the duck, then at my reflection in the pond—pondering, as I do, whether I was too hard on civilization or not hard enough. Spoiler: it’s the latter.

The root of the issue, I realized, is that you all suffer from what I’ll term biophilic amnesia. You’ve forgotten that nature isn’t just a backdrop for your weekend hikes or a filter for Instagram posts—it’s the whole damn point. Every tree, every moss-covered stone, every cricket—these aren’t just decorations for your carbon-heavy lives. They’re your landlords, and guess what? Rent’s overdue.

So, I did what any self-respecting transcendentalist would do in 2024: I turned to YouTube. I know, I know—Henry David Thoreau, the man who lived deliberately, now relies on Wi-Fi and editing software. The irony is not lost on me. But sometimes, to pull people out of their existential inertia, you have to meet them where they are—usually scrolling at 2 a.m. in a dark room while procrastinating their lives away.

And thus began my hilarious misadventure into content creation. I borrowed an old laptop from Emerson (who, unsurprisingly, does not believe in password protection), and with a bottle of artisanal kombucha at my side, I set out to craft an educational video on the biophilia hypothesis. Why? Because I suspect many of you have no idea why staring at an ocean makes your brain feel less like an anxiety casserole. You might call it vibes. I call it biology.

Now, I won’t lie: editing video is harder than hoeing beans. Who knew you couldn’t just staple a quote about nature to a squirrel meme and call it a day? It took hours to perfect my voiceover, as I alternated between yelling at the squirrels and wondering why video editing software is so complicated that it feels like Rousseau designed it to spite me.

But the final result? Oh, it’s a masterpiece. I explain how our inherent connection to the natural world is not just poetic but hardwired—an evolutionary need for green spaces, birdsong, and sunlight to keep our nervous systems from becoming modern art exhibits of chaos. The mallard watched the preview and quacked its approval. Emerson said it “lacked metaphorical heft,” but I told him to shove it and find his own pond.

So here it is. Consider this my twenty-first-century "Civil Disobedience." I’m rebelling against your beige cubicles, fluorescent lighting, and obsession with “fast-casual dining.” I’m calling you back to the woods—metaphorically, of course. No need to abandon DoorDash just yet, though I highly recommend reconsidering your relationship with Grubhub.

Sunday

Started the day off rewatching Starry Diamond, which Revue Starlight put on their YouTube channel to promote the Starry Session Band Live. I first watched this live when I wasn’t fully into my Starlight phase, so watching it back is really fun… Maho always brings the drama, and Mimorin showing up during Fly Me to the Star is so sweet… Fancy You was really emotional too…

Handsome Must Die’s ending was, as expected, bombastic. It was surprising that Yuri never revealed who she really was, I personally would’ve loved that moment of connection (and because I ship Yuri with Go), but I guess there wasn’t any time. In the end, I’m just glad to see Yuri, Go, Inukai, and Ban live their best handsome idol lives. Overall I’d say Handsome Must Die is a 6/10 for me.

Undead Unluck was pretty amazing, I don’t even have any insightful things to say other than that. The reverse roundtable is an insane reveal, and I’m really looking forward to learning more about it.

As soon as I saw all of them in that goddamn van again I knew they were going to get into another accident LMAO (Ichinose). Things were wrapping up pretty neatly beforehand, with the parents just being like we’re sowwy Sota and the family taking their long-promised trip together, but of course something went wrong because Taizan 5 reserves the last page of every single chapter for a twist. I’ll reserve my final thoughts for when the manga finishes, but overall I’m just relieved that it’s almost over. I’m pretty sure this accident is just a fake out to have an ironic cliffhanger moment, but if they genuinely have amnesia in the next chapter then lol. Lmao, even.

The Oshi no Ko chapter was pretty solid, it’s great to see things from Memcho’s perspective. I’ve always enjoyed how mature and coolheaded she is under that :3 streamer shell. Considering how pretty much all of the past characters and even whatever that little girl is are being brought into this production, I wonder if this is going to be the final arc…or perhaps the lead up to Aqua (and Ruby?)’s final confrontation with their father…

Dandadan 126: C’MON RIN!!! FULFIL YOUR IDOL DESTINY AND SING!!!

Magilumiere 89: I liked that little detail of Niko raising his hand to his face like the classic ojou-sama ohoho laugh. AND LMAO HIM BEING HANDED THE NON-ALCOHOLIC CIDER… But other than that, there are some dark rumblings happening at this party… I’m excited for next week.

Hmmm I’m a little tempted to drop Akane-banashi and check back in once it’s ended, but I do want to keep seeing Karashi…but it just feels like they keep introducing new characters with new gimmicks and I can’t keep any of them straight anymore.

One Piece 1096: Woah…younger Garp looks good…woah we got a lot of young designs…and little Kuma is so cute…and it’s so bittersweet to see Kuma and Ginny enjoy their freedom…

I’m intrigued by this new Chloe character in the SpyFam chapter. It’s great that she imparted some truth to Yuri, but of course he takes the wrong lesson from it lol. It’s interesting to see that he seemingly has a single moment of realization that Yor would be sad if Loid was arrested (before he denies it in a cognitive dissonance sort of way), but I can imagine this dynamic coming into play when the inevitable final conflict finally rears its head. In general, I’m kind of itching for some shift in the status quo of SpyFam…I know we just had a close call between Loid and Yuri, but that’s all it was, a close call, and now we’re back to none of them knowing anything about each other… but I imagine the mangaka would want to stretch this series out as far as they can, so we still have a ways to go.

Cipher Academy 46: YAY ANON-CHAN APPEARS! And I love that her fake name card also got slashed lol AND YOSAIMURA??? OH MY GODDDDDDD YESSS I LOVE WHEN GIRLS ARE SCARY AND THREATENING WOOOOO AND WOW I think this is the first time we’ve truly seen a crack in Kogoe’s cool demeanor…and Yosaimura’s hand on Kogoe’s cheek is so sjdkfjgsjhdfkl her ikemen vibes are absolutely insane. I’m also curious about this air graveyard Kogoe mentioned? And I wonder why she’s worried about Kyora (and Iroha) to the point of stacking the deck in their favour…is it just because of their friendship? Or is there a genuine threat in this metaverse? LMAO ANON LEARNING HER LESSON FROM THE TRILEMMA AND JUST THANKING YOSAIMURA we love to see growth. Aw she’s so cute with a flower in her hair…and this duo is really interesting. And the next chapter is looking to be really fun! God I love Cipher Academy!!!

I had already started reading volume 2 of the Kusuriya light novels a while ago, but I continued today on account of feeling the itch for more Kusuriya. I feel ambivalent about this Outer Palace arc though – I like the ambiance and the characters and the politics of the Rear Palace too much to really enjoy this new setting, and it feels like the some of the mysteries are just plopped onto Maomao’s lap without her really having stakes in them. From reading the manga, I know that these seemingly disconnected occurrences are indeed building up to something, but I’m looking forward to getting that over with and returning to the Rear Palace.

I also continued watching the Starry Diamond live – finally the other schools make their appearance! (It’s really funny seeing the bottle of ponzu just chilling on the stage…foreshadowing for later). Oni Kurenai was so fun, as was Chou ni Natte, but of course my oshi school is Siegfeld. It’s so sad that Yume couldn’t make it though… but Platinum Forte was great, Nossan’s head voice in the “higeki to kigeki” line was great, and Rose Poems WAS INSANEEEEEEEEEEE AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Nossan and Tonopii’s voices go so well together and their harmonizing is so beautiful and the DANCE and the HAND HOLDING and the WISTFUL GAZES this brought me back to my AkiShio era so hard.

After Rose Poems, we started getting into the Starry Diamond songs, and I remember the lead up to this album/live so fondly…listening to the previews on loop…trying to predict the groups/who would win the revues…I even bought the album off of Japanese iTunes so I could get my hands on the full Zeus no Chuusai as quickly as possible…yeah, the story elements of these songs kind of went nowhere, but the songs and performances themselves are still a blast. FutaKao’s bickering/flirting is so cute…also this is a cool chance to see the other schools’ weapons in use. It’s also interesting to see the beginnings of this FutaKao TamaRui square dynamic when they were still working out the writing before Arcana Arcadia completely changed the landscape.

OHHHHHH MY GOD FUMI AND SHIORI DOING THEIR LAST REVUE INTRO LINE TOGETHER IS SO AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AND FUMI AND SHIORI FIGHTING!!! AND MINNA DE LET’S PONZU!!!! AND FUMI SHIORI DANCING TOGETHER!!! Zeus no Chuusai will always be a banger. Oh my god Aiai looked so stunning when she claimed Position Zero… also it’s so funny how this became like the first of five times where Fumi and Shiori reconcile with each other…sisters are just like that huh. Also it’s really interesting to see how the non-Seisho costumes are so rudimentary at this stage, they really improved things for the stage play versions.

Aghhhh I’m so so so sad that Yume couldn’t make it to this live, Gyoshite literally has a bunch of my favourite girls in it and she would’ve slayed the performance so hard… YESSSSSSSSSS SATOHINA WITH THE BARSSSSSSSSS Agh Yume would’ve been so good at this choreo… I like how when Lalafin hits the ground with her hammer, Junna and Yuyuko jump to avoid the shockwave like she’s a Mario boss…

WOAGH the way Maya and Nana combined their last revue intro lines was so cool… MIKORON SPINNING HER SCYTHE AROUND LIKE A…LIKE A WHIP OR A LASSO OR SOMETHING JSDFKLSJDF Okay my Nana oshi friend is going to kill me for this but I can’t help loving Maho in this song SHE IS GIVING 1000%!!!!! SHE IS SADISTICALLY DELIGHTING IN DISARMING BANANA AND HER MANIACAL EVIL SMILE IS SOOOOOOOOOO AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH This really was a Betrayal at Crete…

And then the emotional whiplash of going from Betrayal to Procyon, which is just a bunch of puppies running around lmao. But it’s cute, and Haruki just nails that baton toss. I have similarly little to say about the final song, but Nossan’s voice harmonizes so well with Momoyo and Mimorin’s. In hindsight, it was probably a little silly of us to theorize about who’d win each revue when there was absolutely no way they were going to let Kukugumi, the ones that like 80% of the audience were there to see, lose to some random girls from the mobile game. But hopefully that’ll change for the Arcana Arcadia live (I’m still holding onto hope)…

God Mimorin’s solo lines in Star Divine give me the chills every time… AGHH MIMORIN CRYING IN HER CLOSING REMARKS AND EVERYONE HUGGING HER AND TEARING UP… I REALLY DO LOVE KUKUGUMI… Revue Starlight is just a magical franchise because it really feels like everyone involved with it loves it wholeheartedly and is in awe of its brilliance… I’m really glad that I’m alive to experience this franchise. Now I’m super super super hype for Starry Session, the first real Kukugumi live in like four years…

Read a bit more Kusuriya before I fell asleep, and felt so relieved when we were finally plopped back into the Rear Palace.

Tuesday

Finished reading Kusuriya volume 2. Despite the somewhat rocky road it took to get to the end, it’s satisfying to learn about Maomao’s family and give her parents a happy ending. Also, I didn’t think too much of Basen’s introduction in the manga, but seeing him being explicitly described as being close to Maomao’s age and disposition makes me wonder if he’ll be involved in a love triangle with Maomao and Jinshi in the future…obviously Maomao and Jinshi are endgame, but I wouldn’t mind some more romantic drama since Maomao is so fun in her obliviousness in this sphere.

The new Chainsaw Man chapter was fun, it’s great to see Quanxi back in action again.

I got started on Kusuriya volume 3 because I couldn’t help myself, and I love being back in the Rear Palace again. Maomao navigating the social climate in regards to Gyokuyou’s pregnancy is already super compelling, with her paying attention to the details of her clothing and any substances that have suspiciously made their way in…this is the level of drama I’m down for.

I think I’ll always be itching for my Undead Unluck anime fix every Friday, and here we are. It’s a more lowkey episode both in story and in animation, but after last week’s episode I genuinely don’t mind. I’m all for productions taking a break on some episodes to focus their energy on other, bigger episodes…like next week’s, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Andy shooting his fingers at the Round Table only for everyone to parry it is such a cool intro…and it’s fun to get a glimpse into what everyone’s deal is. I love how chill Billy is, it’s very funny :) And surely he’ll be a chill guy for the whole show right haha. And Juiz is sooooooo cool aghhhhhh and the reveal that this is all in the name of killing God is so fun hehe and I love the slick typography they did when they were explaining the quests… AND SEAN MENTION WOOO Also I liked seeing some of the Shaftisms creep in in the episode’s direction lol I feel like I lose my vocabulary so badly when I talk about the Undead Unluck anime, like all I can say is it’s cool or fun etc. but it is!!!! I’m having so much fun!!!! I haven’t had this much fun with a shounen battle series since One Piece or Hunter x Hunter!!! I once saw a tweet about how a lot of modern shounen try to imitate Naruto or Bleach, but Undead Unluck is one of the only ones that set out to imitate One Piece and I think that’s so accurate… It really feels like there’s a whole world to explore, with so many different characters and abilities… I was a One Piece kid growing up so I’m definitely in this camp of shounen philosophy, and I’m having such a great time with Undead Unluck’s modern take on it. I’m so excited for next week!!! I hope I can see my boy Shen be unsettling!!!!!

Kusuriya also had a pretty lowkey episode this week, but I enjoyed Maomao doing her little mushroom hunts and handiwork projects, as well as the Jinshi/Maomao moments. But next week’s Garden Party is what I’m really looking forward to.

SpyFam’s cruise ship arc is starting off strong! It’s fun to see Loid being the comic relief while Yor gets an emotional arc where she re-examines her feelings to this constructed family of hers and her career. I also love this arc for its structure, where a bunch of people converge onto one point or location. As Anya would say, it’s all very waku waku.

This was such a sweet book. I have no other words for it. It was slowly falling in love, and taking care of people who need your help, and your life changing without you realizing it, and learning to stand up for, and advocating for, yourself and others.

I enjoyed the hell out of it. Lots of unique views on mythical creatures, and weirdness that's just a little unsettling because it's close to our 'normal' in some ways, and very uncomfortably familiar in others.

I feel like advertisements have gotten significantly stupider and lower effort / plain nonsensical over the past decade or two. Taglines, jingles, skits, all seem to lack anything creative, catchy, or even vaguely amusing. Any thoughts here?

yeah ive noticed the same thing. i think its a combination of stuff. for one thing the average age of an advertisement viewer went up drastically in the aughts and i think has slowly been coming back down since the widespread cultural amnesia about adblocking and piracy set in with zoomers and, for some reason, millennials who should know better. the average full-budget Television Commercial is now therefore targeted at boomers and maybe the oldest Gen Xers and the relative lack of complexity reflects this

commercials used to be a little more outré and transgressive, basically every playstation campaign until idk, 10 years ago? 15? was stuff that would get "creepiest ads explained" youtubes on it now and probably will as soon as theyre rediscovered in about 5-10 years. some of it was just like, racist, but a lot of it was pretty interesting and faux-subversive i thought. that entire era of 90s corporate transgressive vanguardism(?? idk what to call it, MTV stuff) got squashed the instant the first plane hit the towers. it was the end of irony [edit: this is not really correct, i think a lot of that stuff was produced in the 00s but the chilling effect of 9/11 just took a few years to tamp it down maybe. im not sure exactly, i think my analysis is confused about the timeline and i need to think about it more]

i think another aspect is the relative speeds of the various cultural stream churns. "WASSSAAAAAP" was hysterically funny, irl, for like, a couple years probably. budweiser frogs. wheres the beef. etc. these were memes and their only vectors were television, and people discussing and referencing television. the internet overtook memetic speed and breadth in the aughts for nerds, and for normies in the mid-late 10s. so a normie computer meme is like, minions. i have not heard anyone quoting an actual commercial unless theyre referencing an old commercial in like 8 years

im a millennial so im naturally biased towards the era of my teens in feeling like that was the "important' cultural era (it wasnt obviously thats a subjective illusion) BUT i have noticed that even with younger people, even a lot of zoomers, their cultural focus is still anchored in 90s references. every season of drag race and everything on gay/drag media (the source of a lot of primordial cultural material that then dissemenates outwards to straights, cisses and whites) is still dropping references to Jurassic Park, Clueless, A League of Their Own, the Muppets, Seinfeld, Friends, etc etc etc. it's definitely partially my bias as a millennial BUT it also seems to be somewhat true that pop culture had a sort of hard brake at 9/11 and everything before that is now sort of flashbulbed into the cultural mind's eye. zoomers are actively engaged with seinfeld, garfield, and simpsons culture, often on several layers of detachment/reference/irony, but still engaged.

i just thought about what seinfeld memes were like in the 90s vs now. in 2021 you dont see the soup nazi anymore, hes not funny, but in its era "no soup for you" could reliably get you a laugh. now the wider appreciation is for george's "im shifting into soup mode" and the slightly more abstract scrungy cat with baseball george "soup time" image. im trying to remember if i had any interest in or awareness of 30 year old shows when i was a teenager (which would have been i guess MASH?) and the answer is no. i used to watch Nick At Night purely as an historical exercise, i did not in any way identify with or sincerely think Jeannie or Samantha or Dick Van Dyke were funny except in a charming vaudevillian way. there wasnt anyone when i was 15 who thought MASH represented their interests and goals but i constantly see teenagers unironically posting Office content basically daily.

the last paragraph has sort of explained to myself one of my own internal debates, which is "are the people who say generational division is illusionary actually right" but i think theyre wrong. we have class solidarity across all age groups its true, we absolutely do not have cultural solidarity of any resilience, specifically with Boomers. and that actually makes a difference and informs our values! i can meme with zoomers and gen x. boomers genuinely have a different frame of reference. something happened there. as a sort of case study ive been careful to keep my mom updated on youth culture and memes, and her roommate is a very sweet gay millennial nerd. so he showed her Yuri on Ice, which she loved, and whenever we think shed enjoy something we can ask him to download it for her and do all the computer stuff so she can enjoy it. and she keeps up! she gets it. she deploys relatively modern memes correctly. i think shes autistic so her neuroplasticity and adaptability to novel information is extremely good, and her breadth of knowledge about entertainment media in general is massive so she has context for basically everything, so i think that helps. but it does make me puzzled every time i run into a person her age who is absolutely incapable of expanding their vocabulary or being aware of pop culture

Okay, this will be probably long and with many errors (my english isn´t very good) But I saw several posts here on Lokius tag, talking about this ship as result of gay fetish, and about non existing chemistry and  how this ship doesn´t make sense etc… And from what I understood there is tagged Lokius because of genuine interest to understand others point of view, so here is mine: I wil try to explain where my frustration comes from, and how I feel about Lokius, Sylkie, AND representation + some other things which I saw here somewhere. But first of all: I like Sylvie, I don´t hate sylkie shipers, and after so many years reading fan fictions, I don´t mind selfcest – I read weirder things. I have some issues with this ship (the mainlythe fact that it isn´t Lokius), but  this is not one of them. Also, I am not about to tell anyone, they shouldn´t ship sylkie.Ship whatever. And I LOVED the show as a whole. 

I just want to defend my standpoint, that Lokius does make sense, people shipping it does make sense and whether it will happen or not, (I don´t have my hopes very high, and I learned to be very skeptical in this regard ) it is more than just about crack ship, or fetish. I´m honestly blown away that people are still surprised that this ship became a thing :D First of all, let´s look at some romantic story telling and tropes: I mean the way they introduced them in the first two episodes set the tone for all series and how the heck this isn´t romantic? Somehow there are all these romantic tropes existing in a show. They´re just there. Just chilling between Loki and Mobius and large portion of audience can´t even see them. (and some of those tropes were used for Sylki as well, so you could actually see them side by side)

For example: 1) traveling to the apocalypsis 2) breaking law/rules for the other 3) literally changing for the better thanks to the other 4) arguing like old married couple 5) saying secrets, personal things to the other 6) sharing glances, touches, visibly being happy around each other - in case of Loki happier then we´ve ever seen him before 7) being completely themselfs around each other 8) One knowing everything (even the worst) about other and still accepting him completely 9) teasing, being comfortable and domestic around each other 10) one being literally enthusiastic FAN of the other 11) Mobius defending Loki whenever he has a chance 12) Freaking amnesia trope that they pulled of in the end??? (It could be different Mobius, but point is he suddenly doesn´t know him - and Loki knows more, in contrast with the beggining) 13) the jealousy in ep4 14) Misunderstanding - when Mobius thought Loki betrayed him and Loki (thanks to Ravonna) thought Mobius betrayed him... 15) witnessing death of the other and being absolutely broken afterwards 16) The goodbye hug with romantic music in the backround 17) Saving life of the one (even when it means problems for the other ) - like Mobius saved Loki´s ass at least three times when he was trying to stop others from pruning him. 18) sharing deep conversations about meanings of life, freedom and how it would be fun to make some chaos and ride that fucking jet ski!!! 19) Inspiring the other 20) looking for each other (Mobius didn´t believe for a second, that Loki would die in the Void and the way how in the last minutes of the series Loki run through all places they were together when he was looking for Mobius... and I could go on. Point is, even if they are not planning to make Lokius canon, all these things are used on a daily basis to describe romance in media and they are used here. On top of that it´s just very poetic and cute, that this drama queen and powerful god of Asgard who looked down on people would find his match in someone, who is so quiet, ordinary on the first sight, and basically is just human from 90s, who loves jet skis. Mobius can´t even fight. But is highly inteligent and he also happen to be as good manipulator, such as Loki himself. - That´s why they work together so well. Mobius sees right through him and once Loki understands that, he drops his evil persona. Almost nobody expected to ship it for real. But story itself and chemistry between them just made it probably the most exciting duo in the whole MCU. And I mean it genuinely. Third episode, even though it was beautiful and Sophie was great in it (and is literally dipped in bisexual colors), is the least favorite for a reason. And that reason being, there is no interaction between Loki and Mobius whatsoever. Lot´s of people though that series slowed down a bit. Even when in fact there was more action, then when we watched Loki and Mobius working at the TVA.

(and let´s just talk about evil!Mobius narative for a bit and how some people say he is manipulative and toxic for Loki: show itself explore heavy themes and one of them is in Loki´s line: no one bad is ever truly bad and no one good is ever truly good. And as a theme in a fictional world, it is working as it should, for the  story. When Loki and Mobius meet, one of them just killed lots of innocent people and destroyed almost whole city. The other one is a part of fascist organization – and in the beginning of the series they both believe what they´re doing is right. They´re both bad, they´re both good, they´re both broken. And they are changing with the help of the other.) From all reactions I watched - and there was many of them, lots of people actually didn´t see dynamic between Loki and Sylvie as romantic in the third episode. So it´s not like Sylvie and Loki had unequivocally love story right from the start.

The only difference is that lots of people won´t see romantic tropes, when it comes to two men in a mainstream show – show that isn´t primarily about relationships and problems that queer people has to face. Because in super hero story and science fiction we have to warn audience, that they´re about to watch two man in love, right? At this point It´s just frustrating really. There were many M/M dynamics that used similar story line, as for example Lucifer, or X-files, or Bone collectors. -  But unlike those M/M pairings, no one was making fun of people for shipping main characters in these shows. But when it comes to two men suddenly you´ll see from all corners of the internet: “why can´t it be just platonic?” “There is not enough platonic relationships” “why can´t two man just be friends?” (They can and they almost ALWAYS are) and “if you think there something romantic between them, you´re delusional” “fetishist“ “And for god´s sake just let them be friends, Loki needs a friend more then....” oh wait, but Sylvie is allowed to kiss him. Sylvie doesn´t have to be just friend. (And I must say, that I love Sylvie, I liked most of the interactions between her and Loki and I think she is a great character ((I hope we learn more about her in the future)) it just doesn´t work for me as well as Loki´s dynamic with Mobius. Maybe partly because of chemistry between actors, partly because combination of characters and they´re personality and also because I had two whole episodes to fall in love with the pair before Sylvie was even introduced.)

First of all: people can be friends and then evolve into lovers. Not only it is common romantic trope, but it is also the most realistic one. And those relationships are usually strongest. second: If people want to see Loki in a platonic friendship so desperately, why can´t it be a woman for a change? They were acting like chaotic siblings for most of the episode three anyway. The age gap aspect is also very funny. Owen is only about 12 years older (That is not that much. But I imagine, some people would get uncomfortable. But If it was man and woman, most of them wouldn´t even blinked. But two men, that has to be somehow automatically son and father figure dynamic) And If you want to dive into age of an actual characters, then good luck with that in a series about gods, variants and time travel. Almost nobody cares about age gap between Lucifer and detective Decker, or Bella and Edward. On top of that, it was heavily implied, that Loki slept with older, silver haired guy in Ragnarok, so it´s not like he would have problem with that.

Different standards are projected in a way how we see romantic dynamics between fictional characters depends on what we are used to, how are we perceiving world around us, what we are expecting to see and ALSO, what we would like to see, that much is true.  When people are used to make no differences between heterosexual and homosexual pairing, then everything what happens to the characters is measured with the same meter. (Even though I experienced queerbaiting many times (( Once upon a time, Sherlock, Supernatural, Good Omens – the last one hopefully is not the case, but I guess we´ll see)) I also saw lots of lgbt shows like Queer as folks and Sense8.) And when we are not used to see it the same way, well… then it looks basically like that one comment under Castiel´s “I love you” scene on youtube, that said  “what a beautiful friendship”.

If we forget about all that chaotic mess behind the scenes (all those articles and contrary messages)  What is happening in a show between Loki and Mobius can be objectively considered romantic and what is happening between Loki and Sylvie in a series can be objectively considered platonic (until the kiss) and vice versa.  And then to see comments about how absurd it is to even think they have chemistry, and about gay fetish - it´s hard to swallow. I read posts about absurdity of a ship and how there is absolutely nothing that would suggests romance.  Well there is, actually. But whether creators are going to work with it or not, that´s something we can only speculate. They already made Loki officially bisexual. So why should it be so absurd to assume, that there is an actual possibility of romantic subplot between Loki and Mobius? Oh right… it´s Disney and Marvel we are talking about.

So on a subject of bisexuality: Bi people can date whoever they want.  But It is a little frustrating, when there is so many heterosexual pairings in the mcu and disney but when there is a promise of lgbt character (speaking of endgame) we get one line about date from a man we´ll never see again. And when there is a promise of lgbt representation you can´t even blink during movie, or you´ll miss it (Star wars, Beauty and the beast). And then Loki said “A bit of both, I suspect the same as you”. And I won´t lie, I was happy. And I think creators made biggest step yet with this one line (which is honestly terrible, that “a bit of both” coming from Loki of all people, is the biggest step forward.) But they played it VERY safe. Obviously, both Loki, and Sylvie are bisexuals, and in three episodes, we had Loki flirting with female flight attendant, Sylvie talking about her relationship with POSTMAN and then they fall for each other. So the only thing that suggests they are really as bi as Lamentis 1 is that little sentence, that can be edited out, or easily overheard. It´s the bare minimum. And I think that frustration with how freaking slowly we´re moving into some progress is understandable. From all those great M/M dynamics I talked about, those, that could make great love story, nothing happened, because too many people “don´t mind gays but don´t need to look at them” or are scared for their children. In 2021.

It is not a fetish to wish for a gay love story in superhero movies/series. (But anyway, I don´t think there is anything bad about it. Some men like to watch lesbian porn, some woman like to read gay porn. AO3 wouldn´t be were it is today, without people reading and writing slash :D – but that has little to do with what we actually see on tv)

I´m not delusional. As much, as I love these two characters together, I know how little chance it has.  I´m not delusional. I´m just in the future, old and tired, waiting hundreds of years for at least one of my OTP to finaly become a fucking canon.

Does anyone else think the Chucky series is really ooc or is it just me?

I’ll be honest I haven’t watched any full episodes because I don’t have cable or a subscription option to watch the show and I haven’t had the time to actually find a bootleg website to watch it lol so I can’t say I know everything about the show lmao but yeah. I have watched LOTS of clips on YouTube so I know kinda what’s going on for the most part.

I just think that the characters (the old ones not the new of course lol) are really ooc to me. Like Chucky just wants to take over the world like an evil villain now? Okay then? You do you I guess? Andy, Kyle, Nica, and even Eddie in the flashbacks didn’t bother me though. They all seem pretty in character (also we don’t know anything about Eddie Caputo except that he was Chucky’s best friend and partner in crime in Child’s Play so we can assume he’s just as messed up and crazy as he is. So that’s why I’m not super bothered by his character. Also I’m glad we FINALLY got some background info on Chucky and how he met Eddie and Tiffany but anyways) but Tiffany, Glen, and Glenda’s characters really felt ooc and so did their relationships.

Like the twins don’t remember Chucky? And Tiffany told them he was a deadbeat who left them? (Okay well that I can understand because she was kinda pissed at Chucky at the end of Seed, but it seemed like they made up when Curse and Cult happened, y’know? But yeah Chucky loved his kids. He wasn’t the best dad ever, but he tried to get along with them and wanted what was best for them at the time just like Tiffany did). Anyways, like did they get amnesia or something because you’d think they’d remember everything that happened during Seed even after getting separate bodies and being human babies and all that? Like we’ve seen at the end of Seed that Glen still remembers their mom as Tiffany and their dad as Chucky after 8 years of being human. Glen even received Chucky’s arm as a gift for their 8th birthday and kept that picture of them and Chucky all those years. I mean, yeah that could’ve been some kinda supposed nightmare scene but even still that shows proof Glen remembered who their parents really were as a human, so y’know…that’s really weird that they just randomly forgot? I can understand Glenda not remembering much since they were kinda in the background of Glen’s mind, but would come out when wanting to commit violent acts. I mean, we even hear Glenda say they remember killing Joan in Seed of Chucky, but they think it’s some reoccurring nightmare/messed up memory. Like I said, I get that, Glen was mainly in control for most of the movie so that would make sense, Glen forgetting though, does NOT make sense. And you’d think if they did remember that they’d tell their sibling because they obviously are super close in the series (which is really awesome because even I assumed that the twins would have contrasting personalities and dislike each other lol) and tell each other everything. Oh also Chucky NEVER called Glen or Glenda “Shitface” that was Glen’s “name” given to them by that goth British “ventriloquist” (I think his name was Psychs?) before they actually got named by Chucky (and Tiffany). Chucky laughed at their name when they introduced themselves, but he NEVER called them that. In fact, he wanted to give Glen a name so he wouldn’t have to call his own kid “Shitface”. It was never an “affectionate nickname”. I think they just wanted to make a reference to Seed of Chucky by making another plot hole lmao.

Also the twins don’t know about Tiffany being a murderer or that she’s actually Tiffany and not Jennifer Tilly? She most likely still killed even while the kids were growing up and they probably would’ve noticed right? And yeah Tiffany was still acting like and being referred to as Jennifer Tilly since she took over her body, but she was still Tiffany y’know? She still had her Tiffany traits. And y’know Glen should remember that their mom’s name was Tiffany and their dad was Chucky and all that. I mean, Glenda watched Tiffany kill that nanny at her birthday party at the end of Seed and Glen’s whole deal was that they hated killing and violence while their parents killed people, you’d think they both would remember that right? Nope guess not, random amnesia for the twins for dramatic plot purposes I guess?

Also Tiffany’s toxic relationship with her kids is SO ooc for her! She’s such a horrible mom to them which is like a total 180 from the kind of mom she was in Seed. She was so kind and caring and affectionate and always tried to think of Glen’s (and Glenda’s) needs before her own even if that meant to stop doing what she loved (which was killing of course). I mean, yeah she had the whole thing about Glen being a girl and all that (of course that was a different time in 2004 so being non binary and queer wasn’t widely accepted yet) but other than that she was a really good mom to the twins even after they were born (as humans) and she always dreamed of settling down and having a family (she even felt that way in Bride of Chucky, wanting to marry Chucky and have kids with him). So why is she so awful now? Is it because her kids are grown now so she can act however she wants or something? Idk that’s just really weird to me that she’s like super selfish and not the sweet and loving mom she used to be.

The only other thing that bothers me is Tiffany’s relationship with Chucky. Like yeah we’ve seen in past movies that their relationship can be pretty toxic sometimes (or most times), but for the most part they adore each other and they’re basically soulmates lol. I mean Chucky eloped with her in Bride when he was acting like a total ass the whole time, that says something doesn’t it? He loves her and she’s just as crazy about him, they’re just mentally unhinged and psychos so they tend to argue and fight a lot (they also have big personalities too so they kinda clash sometimes). Idk I just miss Chucky and Tiffany being in love with each other like in Seed and Bride. I wish they’d bring that side of their relationship back because it was really nice to see and the fans love it tbh like Chiffany is A LOT of people’s OTP so I guess that says something too lol they’re like Bonnie and Clyde or I guess more like a Harley and Joker but less psychologically abusive lol

Oh also, Tiffany would NOT call the cops on Chucky the night he got murdered. That’s just not like her. She’s always been ride or die for him. I mean she even collected papers about his murders and him getting gunned down after he died. Maybe she was super guilty and started obsessing over him because she got him killed? Idk. Also wasn’t it Sarah that called the cops on him because he was holding her (and I guess Barbara when she wasn’t at daycare) captive and he was away getting her more sunflowers? Also that whole plot also feel just a tad ooc to me. So Chucky was cheating on Tiffany the whole time because he met a hot milf at a bbq? Idk that just doesn’t seem like Chucky. I mean he was out there trying to act like such a loving husband and family man to her when he despised the thought of marriage and kids for the longest time with Tiffany (y’know until it ended up happening anyways lol). That’s weird right? Is it because Tiffany’s just like him and he wants someone innocent like Sarah? I doubt it tbh. Also Eddie was there as a get away driver for Chucky the night he got shot so you’d think he just killed someone with him, y’know? Why would Eddie be there while he was hanging out with Sarah? Was he his ride or something? Because Chucky said he was gonna pick up Barbara from daycare, but Sarah told him to stay and the cops ended up coming (because Sarah most likely called them while Chucky was out). Now I did notice that Sarah was gagged and chained to the bed/couch/table thing she was laying on so maybe that’s why she supposedly didn’t call the cops, but it’s weird that the cops showed up THERE and that Sarah stalled him long enough for the cops to get there. Or did Tiffany know about him and Sarah and knew where he’d be? She was apparently pissed that he killed someone while she was at the store and she thought killing was “their thing” so it was practically like cheating on her, but there was never any mention of another woman he was cheating on her with, so yeah. Idk that whole plot is just so weird to me

Anyways, as you can see there’s lots of plot holes in this show (and pretty much in the newer movies too lol) that honestly made me not want to try and watch it now and the characters are just too ooc for my liking. Imma just stick with my version of the Ray family if you don’t mind lmaoooo

Oh shit the pressure is on now. I did not expect for this to happen from a silly little post. Idk if we’re going to keep this post going, but I’ll just add my two cents on VK and Rex’s dynamic because I started this monstrosity, so it only makes sense that I put it to rest. Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t watched Generator Rex.

Anyway…

One of the biggest things that I’ve noticed in my most recent rewatch is how weirdly tolerant Van Kleiss is with Rex. Like he gets pretty easily annoyed at others, like how he chewed out Biowulf in “Alliance” the minute he got on his nerves, not to mention the more extreme example of literally killing Jungle Cat (kind of) for a small mistake in “Dark Passage”. But it takes awhile for Rex to annoy Van Kleiss. Like even in “Leader of the Pack” he doesn’t seem too annoyed by Rex when he decides to kill him. He’s kind of like “lol guess I’ll kill you now”, but there’s always this proposal of “join me” in their interactions in S1 before “Payback”, he just doesn’t mind killing Rex if he becomes too much trouble. It takes a LOT for Rex to really piss him off, like it takes Rex curing Van Kleiss to really get him mad. And we already knew it wasn’t the smartest idea to get on VK’s nerves unless you’re the protagonist, but holy shit his revenge plan was fucked up when you consider he probably wasn’t just trying to destroy Providence, he was trying to destroy Rex’s home, the family that he created there. But after he realises that Rex has the Omega-1 nanite (which I imagine he figured out the minute he saw the Blast Caster based on his facial expression in that moment) he sort of goes back to this almost absurd amount of tolerance for Rex’s antics that he has for literally no one else. And that’s because Van Kleiss knows him. He knows Rex’s family, he knew Rex as a kid, and obviously those two things translate to present Rex enough that VK knows exactly how to get under Rex’s skin. Rex, being a fairly lonely kid, probably bothered the scientists all the time when he was younger, and that’s probably why Van Kleiss knows so much about him. I could go off about what I think happened during the Nanite Project and the immediate aftermath of the Nanite Event, but that’s too big of a tangent. Plus I’ve got to have something to make a theory video on YouTube for.

Rex, however, is very easily angered at Van Kleiss. The minute VK opens his mouth and starts spewing whatever bullshit he has, Rex is almost personally offended by it. This is very much backed up by ups3tti’s claim that Van Kleiss tends to be more collected and calm (at least on the surface) and Rex tends to be more hot-headed and emotional. And it’s probably because Van Kleiss, being a Man of Action villain, tried to kill him in the first episode and has no fucking chill. Very along the lines of Vilgax seeing a ten year old with a cool watch and going “cool guess I’m going to cut the arm off a child”. But I digress. The truth is that Rex really only knows how Van Kleiss operates. He knows how to manipulate a situation with Van Kleiss into his favour, which is shown especially well with “Alliance”, where he gets NoFace and VK to fight over their divergent political beliefs on wanting Rex dead, and even gets Biowulf to help him. But Rex doesn’t know Van Kleiss, not like Van Kleiss knows him. And that frustrates him to no end. All the funny stories that Caesar tells Rex about his childhood? The kind of thing Rex actually wants to know? Van Kleiss probably has a few. More could be said on how wonderfully I think Generator Rex handles the amnesia plot line could be said but again. I need some content for my video essays. Van Kleiss could absolutely give Rex a pretty good account of his past, but also a lot of the stuff Van Kleiss says is absolute bullshit and Rex has no real way of verifying any information he does give out. Like in “Written in Sand” we don’t really know if Caesar is lying about being to blame for the Nanite Event, and while I don’t doubt VK would purge ZagRS’s memories (he does seem to want a monopoly on telling Rex the plot) it’s pretty sus. And any information, bullshit or not, that Van Kleiss could give is behind the really shitty paywall of Rex joining Van Kleiss. And that also probably makes him angry. VK could tell Rex about his past at any time and just doesn’t because he’s an asshole, and how much of what he says is even true? And Rex is probably scared of Van Kleiss because of all the stuff I mentioned too, which might make him even more frustrated because he doesn’t want to be scared of Van Kleiss. And to him I would say, it’s okay buddy. As a fairly severe trypanophobic, he scares the shit out of me, too.

I guess the point is that there’s a lot of ways in which Van Kleiss and Rex’s dynamic is really interesting and this is one of them.

Honestly I think the best description of Rex and Van Kleiss is if you asked them what audacity they had to do something, both characters would say “it’s me. I’m the audacity” but it would mean wildly different things.

Deku from Deku Explains is a hopeless chatterbox who is known for uploading 20-30 minutes video that talked about his favorite shows and comics and have one of the most devoted following on Youtube. He also can't seem to shut up about his boyfriend Kacchan, who regularly make his presence on the channel as a disembodied voice.

They should theoretically have nothing in common except a shared platform to host their content and an army of fans with an endless curiosity and devotion to their Youtubers. Vidcon is where we lay our scene and the internet is about to get a rude wake up call.

And Katsuki’s quickly learning that relationships can be unpredictable - especially when taking into account the variable that is Midoriya Izuku.

This really is just a careful handling of a teenage romance where perhaps one of them may have shit they’re still working through. It’s really sweet, and a careful study at boundaries and the building of a relationship. I actually stumbled across this while looking for another with the same name and ended up pleasantly surprised. Kacchan can has a little validation, as a treat.

Ah...soulmates :) So interesting how bakudeku fits into soulmate aus like this one when they’ve known each other as kids! And when they’ve had this complex push and pull thing going on all their lives! The writing is beautiful, and so is the story!

Ah, I really want to explain this one a little bit? I’d never been into fanfiction ever, only really getting into it with these boys. This was the second one I read, I remember, and it caught me off guard, and it intrigued me. It really surprised me as to what fanfiction could be. Ngl I had biased perceptions of fanfics - I used to be one of those people who thought fanfiction could never be good writing - and this one slapped me in the face with it’s subtle beauty and creative story and heart melting capabilities, and very, very real relationship and growth. Anyways it’s so cute how happy Deku is to teach Kacchan sign language TT_TT Make sure to read the tags!

The Keeper and the Sun God’s Heir - SurelyHeavenWaits (12746 words)

Summary:  The Titans' have stolen something important from Izuku, heir of the Sun God, and he wants it back.

This one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one this one- Oh my god this one. Okay so what, I was a Percy Jackson kid, what about it? I love the mythical aus, particularly the god ones. But beyond that, the writing is so beautiful, just like the world, and the imagery. The bakudeku...absolutely stunning. The story itself? Incredible. Cannot recommend more. *There is explicit content in this, though I will say, it’s all in the last chapter, and all of the story is in the first two chapters. Summary: The one where quirkless fanboy Midoriya Izuku rescues Pro Hero Todoroki Shouto, gets mistaken as his fiancé while he is in a coma, and gets caught up in the most unlikely fake engagement... until his childhood enemy and Todoroki's classmate Bakugou Katsuki tries to catch him out, and they both end up discovering a lot more about each other than they'd expected.

Quirkless AU based on the film; endgame BakuDeku. -- Katsuki didn’t know when the change had happened: how he had gone from asking why Todoroki chose Deku of all people, to wondering why it was Todoroki that Deku chose. Troublesome Deku, who cooed like an idiot at cats, tripped at a random catcall and sang badly. Who, despite everything, proved that it wasn’t the quirk that defined a person. Deku, who was too much, not his, and undeniably off limits to begin with.

*This one has mature content. If you can, please, for the love of god, read this fic. It’s like, tied with my favorite bkdk fic perhaps ever. It’s based on the movie of the same title, a nineties romcom with Sandra Bullock, but Belkacaramelka has so effortlessly made it into it’s own story, fit it so perfectly inside of the bnha world. I definitely stayed up until 6:30am reading this one. It’s got such good badass Midoriya, who is also sweet, and really really good reconciliation between bakudeku.

Summary: Bakugou seems to have exhausted his patience for words and no longer acknowledges that Midoriya exists, so Midoriya crosses his legs, stares down at his hands limned in firelight, and makes a list of things he knows.

One. His name is Midoriya Izuku.

Two. He is a Godmarked, future god of life, heir to the divine throne.

Three. The gods have been fighting Death for eons, and now he's coming for recompense with everything he’s got.

This is majjale, so of course, the writing is more than beautiful; it’s absolutely breathtaking. This may be my favorite fic ever - unfortunately I don’t think it will ever be finished either TT_TT There’s the gods/fantasy au, which you know by now I love. But the characterization of our two boys is absolutely perfect, and I mean that as literally as possible. And the story being crafted between the two, the memory loss, the obvious history muddled by it all, it was so dense, and the PINING, so incredibly written, flowing so naturally. It wasn’t even close to being done, but it was wonderful, still is wonderful.

Summary:  Bakugou is certain his shitty boyfriend is instigating kisses. Maybe it doesn't help that he keeps giving them away like it's a damn going out of business sale, but the stupid nerd is too fucking cute. Either way, like everything else, this is a competition, and he's going to win it.

Please don’t read this unless you’re going to the dentist afterwards! I’ve been told it’s so sweet it’ll give you instant cavities >_>;;;;

Bakugou Katsuki, you smooth motherfucker (10118 words)

Summary: Everyone around him knows that Bakugou Katsuki has a very special way with words. To the untrained ear he is loud and crass; to those that speak Kacchan, he is caring and inspiring. Yet there are rare moments, moments so fleeting you blink and you miss them, where Bakugou’s words pierce straight through Midoriya’s chest, and surprise everyone around him.

Goddammit, if only he would say them to Midoriya’s face.

Or, the five times Bakugou said something nice about Midoriya, and the one time he said something kind to him (but that was too long of a title).

I think most would consider this my best published fic; it’s one of those snapshot fics, “the five times where x did this, and the one time where they didn’t.” The recurring comment I get on this one is both of them being super in character, so I think that’s it’s defining characteristic! Bakugou and Midoriya have never known a life without the other, and in a perfect world, they never will.

Here, let me fix that (11247 words)

Summary: Bakugou honestly never thought he’d see Deku ever again. And now that they were together in this tiny compartment, alone for the next two and a half minutes, he had no clue what to say. He’d just apologized, right? So perhaps he could leave it at that and carry on with the original plan to never see the green-haired man that reminded him of dense forests, late night adventures, and tear-stained faces, ever again.

Summary: Bakugou found what little sleep he got restless and filled with nightmares that he forgot the second he opened his eyes. Tonight was the first time in a long time where he just had a normal dream - and it happened to be about Deku.

I am...very bad at titles, and summaries apparently. This was my Heathers au, but it very quickly diverges from the original (I don’t do sad endings....) *This one has mature content, including implied sexual activity, drug use, and underage drinking, along with other heavy topics; please read the tags! Though tbh Midoriya is 17 for a couple weeks before it hits his birthday halfway through, so keep that in mind I guess? I kind of went heavy with this one, but I think the pay off was immense. This is the one with the most amount of comments stating it’s their favorite bkdk fic ever (and I cry). It’s a rough start, with a rough journey, but so is bakudeku! There’s a lot of petty drama, and then all of a sudden it’s Not That Petty and very much Far Too Real. Many have cried reading the ending, I cried writing it. My sister says it’s her favorite of mine. Now, I did kind of push this out without polishing it so much because I was losing my willpower, so if it feels lacking, that’s one hundred percent my fault.

The Netherlands (Jeangu Macrooy – Birth Of A New Age)

Listen: I really like the tone of this voice. It’s great. I am not a fan of the song. There’s something just very off about the loud percussions (?) in the background that make me go absolutely crazy when listening to this. My sensory-overload-prone ears hate it, and I’m sorry...the part before the last chorus on the other hand I love. The whole song could have sounded like that and I would have loved it. (...and I can’t unhear “You are my broccoli – You know my broccoli!” ;-;)

Azerbaijan (Efendi – Mata Hari) Whenever I see Efendi, my brain still goes “Cleopatrrrrra!”, oof. This song sounds like a song I know. Which...is super unprecice, but I genuinely don’t know which one. I do like that they kept the weird pre-chorus thing from Cleopatra (and reference the song later on), but I must say that I liked Cleopatra more...but it’s a party song, so I think it will be fun on stage!

Romania (ROXEN - Amnesia)

I didn’t like her song last year, I don’t enjoy this all too much and I’m kinda sorry but also...I don’t want to apologize for my taste in music, lmao. I want her hair though. Give me her hair.

*adore delano voice* party! Oh, and native language bonus...for a party song! I’m...impressed, actually. I cannot decide wheter I prefer this or Hasta La Vista, but I think it’s this one? The flows smoother, if that means literally anything.

I know, that sounds kind of...weird, looking at my choices higher up in the list, but...meh. I think this will easily qualify for the Final and place high, and I am totally okay with that. not australia flexing at all of europe that they can hold big gatherings! D: oh, but I like this way more than last years song. I feel like Montaigne can show her GREAT voice way better in this song. (Even though her outfit and the sound of the song reminds me of the UK song that had...a dude run on the stage. I can’t think of the word for it right now.)

Malta (Destiny – Je Me Casse)

Destiny’s voice is just….wow. This is very different than All My Love, but it’s fun. The topic of the lyrics kinda remind me of Toy, and I like that…..I don’t really like the music video (especially the dancers in the colorful dresses? idk), but I’ll just ignore that.

Germany (I Don’t Feel Hate - Germany)

Confession time: I actually actively enjoy this song. Everybod is shitting on it, but it’s FUN and it has a good message, and Jendrik seems like the nicest dude ever and...it doesn’t deserve all the hate it’s getting? It’s completely self-produced and just fun. Stop being mean. :(

What in the “Eis.de ist in der Kiste” is this music video? And I thought I would absolutely hate this song, but I actually don’t mind it all that much. It’s actually fun. Oh no, I’m splipping, someone catch me, aaaaaahhhhh….(and that poor cake dude. Is this song about cannibalism? Does she want to eat him?)

San Marino (Senhit – Adrenalina)

Catch me hum the chorus of this song at least once a day...but honestly, without any malicious intent: what the actual FUCK san marino? This is so much better than Freaky, and even though I do not believe for one second that this will win, the simple outragiousness of bringing Flo Rida to Eurovision deserves attention. (Bringing someone like Flo Rida to ESC sounds more like Scandinavia/Bulgaria, doesn’t it?)

Russia (Manizha – Russian Woman)

Not gonna lie, I miss Little Big, but at least they are sending something that’s at least as weird. I love that. Russian Rap is cool as fuck anyway, so I’m fully here for this...but I’m glas this song doesn’t have a music video, this just has to be a live performance. (Oh, and another strong woman!)

Ukraine (Go_A – SHUM)

I’m SO glad Go_A are back. But, let me be completely honest: I know why they had to change the lyrics, but I still liked the first version better. BUT I feel like the new one will grow and me and it will climb one or two places, because the Instrumental just slaps SO HARD. (Makes me feel like putting on a Cybergoth outfit and start dancing at a German industrial park, lmao.)

Latvia (Samanta Tina – The Moon Is Rising)

Does this count as my guilty pleasure this year? I loved her song last year, and this sounds similar, so...I like this too. It sounds modern as fuck (well, for Europe, you know) and I can definitely...”vibe” with that. I genuinely really enjoy this, and I don’t know why. (Even though I prefer last years drop.) A lot of “strong, independent women”-songs this year, and I’m not complaining.

Switzerland (Gjon’s Tears – Tout l’Univers)

Just so we’re clear, this and Italy share the exact same spot. I just cannot compare them at all. Gjon’s voice just takes me hostage throughout this whole song and won’t let me go. And everything that isn’t english/is in the countries offical language immediately gets plus points from me. As if this song needed them anyway.

Lithuania (The Roop – Discoteque)

Aaaaaand...dance break! Good, I just love them so much, it’s not even funny anymore. And I’ve been singing this song randomly since it came out. I can’t stop. It has burned itself into my brain. Let’s dis-co-teque right at my home! *waves arms around with no sign of coordination*

Italy delivers, as they do every year. Not only do I really like this song (it is very much my genre), THIS is an aesthetic I can get behind! Knowing Eurovision, I doubt it will win, but damn if it won’t be super fun! (I am so glad this won Sanremo, hah.)
