GOTG 3 SPOILERS

I don’t think anyone has pointed this out yet but the soundtrack playing in Vol 3 when the Guardians all stood in a circle and announced that they were going their separate ways and Rocket was named captain was the exact same soundtrack that played in Vol 1 when Peter gave his 12% plan loser speech and Rocket said they were a bunch of jackasses standing in a circle.

It’s a parallel of the moment the team officially united to when they officially split.

I will say I like the soundtrack of Into The Spiderverse more than Across The Spiderverse but I think their original scores are equally as good

Both are amazing tho, rarely does a movie soundtrack ever leave any kind of impression on me in the first place

Note: The Holiday Special had only one song that I would consider being on Peter's physical media. The others are all either live performances, non-diegetic or have other sources.

I've had the Beatles song 'Rocky Raccoon' going in and out of being stuck in my head ever since I saw GOTG vol.3, just because it sounds a little bit like Rocket Raccoon.

And then I go to the song's wikipedia page and yep, turns out Bill Mantlo was inspired by the song's title and some of the lyrics when he made Rocket. So. Uh. There ya go. I doubt anyone needed to know any of this but there it is. I wonder which lyrics he got inspiration from...
