Petition to call the season 3 limbo "The Fourteenth Century."

The petition to remove Neil Gaiman is still under 500 signatures. I believe going forward with Season 3 without him is the best path to long term industry reform, but I also think it's important that efforts to preserve Season 3 are explicitly conditional on his removal. That is not a given at this point, don't take it for granted.

I don't understand people who believe that there can't possibly be a sex scene between Crowley and Aziraphale in S3 simply because "It's a family show."

Like they just forgot that the sex scene between Newt and Anathema in S1 exists?

To be clear, I'm not saying a sex scene between them will (or won't) happen. I'm just saying that that line of reasoning as to why it wouldn't is utter nonsense.

And if you think that a straight sex scene vs a (potential) gay sex scene is somehow more family friendly, you honestly shouldn't even be watching the show in the first place.

Upon the news that season 3 will be a one 90 min episode then, as disappointing as it is to not get a full 6 episode series, I am just relieved we’ll be getting anything at all.

We also have all of the incredible works of fan fiction and fan art created everyday by this amazing fandom.

Please don’t get too discouraged folks. We shall see the ineffable husbands again, together x

just a random thought about good omens season three but what if the first episode started with crowley waking up in the bookshop hungover and clearly depressed (wearing aziraphale’s shirt?) and then had a scene in the last episode with aziraphale and crowley waking up in their south downs cottage being all cute, cuddly, and in love

were they there?? were they in disguise? was Crowley one of the wisemen? was aziraphale??? are we gonna see Gabriel tell Mary in the most awkward way possible that she's pregnant? what miracles is aziraphale going to cast in secret to give them a better time? is Mary gonna be the funniest bitch in the club? is Joseph gonna be so confused? are we gonna get bildad-esque quips from Crowley? is the star they all follow gonna be significant???? Y'ALL.

Look, it’s just that one episode is not a season. Why do they keep calling it a season?

I think Amazon did this wrong. They shouldn’t have framed this as “season 3 announcement! Season 3 will be one movie length episode!” Because one episode isn’t a new season. One episode is one episode; a conclusion. Fair enough. Then say that. Say “Look guys, we don’t want to make season 3 anymore becasue we don’t want further association with Gaiman to muddy our brand, but because we didn’t want to leave you hanging with that ending we’ve decided to give you this movie-length conclusion.”

People would still have been sad, but they might have understood that it was this or nothing.

Personally though (and this might be my evil manipulative side showing) I’d have announced it was cancelled. I’d have let the fans launch into a massive OFMD-style campaign to try to get them to renew it. I’d have watched billboards go up in New York and London, endured social media bombardment, letter writing campaigns, people sending…I don’t know, sachets of hot chocolate or something to the Amazon head office, and then after a few weeks, I’d have let us think we won. I’d have backtracked, anounced the movie then.

Imagine the joy in the fandom. Imagine how popular it would have made Amazon. They listen to the fans! They take into account public opinion, not just the bottom line. They’re heroes.

But they didn’t. They said “Here’s season 3. it’s one episode long.”

There’s no wonder people are unhappy.

About a good omens not-really-season 3: I wonder not only how are they going to manage with the plot but also, how much of those little moments will be cut. You know, these cute moments between Crowley and Aziraphale that were just them looking at each other or doing something less important. Like when Aziraphale looked at Crowley for long three seconds when he was driving in 1941. Or when Crowley leaned on Aziraphale while they were talking to Muriel. These scenes. I wonder how many of them will be cut.

I NEED to see Aziraphale telling Crowley that his favourite colour is yellow because of his eyes and Crowley crying in S3. If there's no kiss, or hug, or "I love you", this is the *only* acceptable substitute. Obviously, I want them all though.
