waking up feeling like a cinder block & having two meetings & at the end of those get a call to find out that I didn't get the apartment because I had to have been employed for 27 more days than I currently have been. I need to put myself into the washing machine on the carpet cycle. forever. goodbye.

#IT'LL BE FINE THEY SAID #at first i didn't get it because they went ahead with another applicant. then they called and said i got it as long as #my credit check was good. which it was. then the deposit. it was fine. then this and *buzzer noise* im out #what a fucking roller coaster #i was so excited for that patio too 😭#oh well. what to do. at least now i can buy a heater and just bunker up and save money until the next unicorn apt with #good rent and location shows up #GAH. School is starting soon!! I can't believe I'm excited for the stressors of classes OURGH...

#ill be moving out of my parents house on the 13th. and be starting on the 19th! oh god. that's 9 days #i think im excited because it means i can finally LEAVE THE HOUSE #i hate being stuck in the house with very little to do and simply doom scroll. caged bird energy fr #(family restrictions. i loooovee those)#pros: freedom. cons: a lot less free time + stress + no birds #however. the pros genuinely outweigh the cons...i treasure my independence wayy too much! (except i will miss the feathered balls...)#but on another note. im excited for so many things! See my roommate. cook meals for myself. have actual privacy...yknow basic autonomy :D!#oh i can finally wear the clothes i like judgement free! and i can go places without curfews! and i can play my music outloud!#OH i can finally kick up my social activities again!!#this bird speaks #GAH!! so excited!!#this summer “vacation” was genuinely the worst overall #saving grace was Art Fight and the DD friends i've made ngl. so thanks yall huge hugs to yall!

Wonder if it's normal to be so... aware of using my ao3 account to leave comments. Like I've had multiple occasions where the writers have recognized me from reading my works & have been excited. Which is great!! But also has me Aware that there's a nonzero chance of people recognizing me when I leave comments places.

Mostly just. Ya kno. Makes me aware that anyone can see what I'm reading and commenting on and connect it back to me. Makes me more hesitant to comment on some of the more indulgent things I've read while using my account.

#speculation nation #ive taken to going to an incognito browser to leave comments anonymously in these cases #so that i can still comment without worrying about people seeing and knowing what ive been reading.#i know it doesnt REALLY matter. but i still do get quite embarrassed about some of the stuff im into.#(it's all harmless. but internalized shame is a fucking beast to conquer.)#just. sigh... the downsides of having some well-loved fics. some people actually do recognize me out there.#which. again! has led to some really nice moments. makes me rly happy to know someone's excited i read their work.#just.
